Quick and tasty food at reasonable price

Just had a meal from here probably the best Chinese meal we had in a long time. Think this was worth a mention I always look at reviews especially when away on holiday all reviews were good and lived up to the 4&5 stars given. I may move here just for the Chinese takeaway lol.

Great vegetarian range, good portions and really good value.

Ordered some sauces and prawn crackers on the way home from work it was a last minute decision and not tried this takeaway before.my husband had already done a chicken fried rice so the selection of sauces went down a treat hubby loved the BBQ sauce and that's a compliment. We will definitely be using this Chinese again 👌

I ordered a takeaway on my way home from work. It was ready on time. Pleasant staff. No msg used in their food and minimal salt and pepper. Would definitely order from them again

NEW Wing Hong my last rating was two stars but this one deserves 5 Stars Now under new ownership all dishes prepared to a high standard tender chicken and good use of spices would definitely recommend.

My mother and father in law live in Honiton and we pop down from Yorkshire on a regular basis. We always look forward to a meal from Wing Hong as it's easily the best Chinese food I have eaten, both here and down there! The owners are lovely people and always make sure you have plenty to eat. Always look forward to our trip down and a visit to the best Chinese anywhere!

Had pretty much given up finding decent Asian food in East Devon, having lived in Asia for many years prior. I'm so glad I decided to try Wing Hong, the flavours are some of the most authentic I've found in the area and portion sizes are really good. Will definitely be returning regularly!

Friendly welcome, visiting the area for a few days and was looking for a Chinese take away. At least 3 to choose from in the high street, we choose this one as it had parking right outside. Pleased we did, only had a couple of chow meins and a Thai green curry but all were right up there with the best Chinese takeaway we've had, which is a lot !

Staff are so polite and friendly. My daughter says the chow mein is the best shes ever tasted

I'd almost given up on trying Chinese takeaways after being constantly disappointed with bland, watery, flavourless rubbish from most other places. Best Chinese take away in the area always piping hot full of flavour, fresh vegetables and decent meat. Added bonus of no additives to any dishes and you can create your own. Amazing every time!

I too moved here to Devon 5 years ago. I must have been spoilt for choice where I lived prevously! This is the 4th time I have had food from here again , having left it a while due to disappointment. I was hoping it would be better. It wasn't! One can see from past reviews in general that I'm easy to please! I can't understand the rave reviews on the food here. Is it just bad luck on my part? My fried rice was passable. The pork balls were awful, the pork was inedible. So chewy & tough. The batter swimming in grease. I had to throw them away. As for the radio active, neon, sweet & sour sauce. Absolutely foul. What a peculiar taste as well. Will definately not use again. I've given you enough chances.

We moved to Devon 3 years ago from Wales and have been searching ever since for a decent Chinese. Well, we've just found it. We travel from Sidmouth to Honiton for this chinese takeaway. Food is so fresh, no stodgy sauces, and the curry is gorgeous. Cannot recommend this enough and we are really fussy with chinese food.

Not great. 5 meals ordered and all sauces very poor,chow meins lack flavor and smokey Ness ,perhaps oil wasn't hot anough. Nice people and service but something missing in the kitchen.

Ordered Tonight. Really disappointed to say the least food was cold and tasteless sauce was stodgy. I really wouldn't recommend. All went into the bin. Chicken fried rice Salt and pepper squid Salt and pepper chicken Salt and pepper chips Chicken balls Curry sauce It was all cold soggy and chewy

I cannot fault any of the food we had from this Chinese today, ribs were lovely, sweet and sour chicken balls were light and crispy with no grease and the chicken with black bean sauce was really tasty with plenty of chicken. If you’re in Homiton and want a Chinese this is the place to go.

Best Chinese in honiton,always tastes freshly cooked. BBQ Ribs and sweet and sour balls devious. Fried rice dishes always taste freshly cooked.And chow mein dishes always really nice.

New owners, food poor...i understand that you want to cut down on the salt and sugar in your cooking, but people are use to Chinese food cooked this way and they won't like it if there's little taste. How are you supposed to cook a sweet and sour dish if you don't put sugar in it...not the same person

Wednesday, May 19 2021. We are not usually very keen on Chinese Takeaway because we find the food to be bland, greasy, swimming in sauce and generally insipid. We are new to Honiton so thought we would try this Chinese takeaway for our evening meal as the owners are trying to make a comeback with a healthier cooking style and fresh vegetables. We were very very impressed with the food. We ordered four different vegetarian items and they were all freshly made, with nice crispy vegetables, very tasty and the takeaway pots were full to the brim. Will definitely be making this a regular treat!

Quiet, food cooked quickly and tastes lovely.

We've eaten here about 3 times and each time it's got better. Less salty than other places and that is a very good thing.

Excellent food. Had some earlier, very tasty and now I'm sated. Yummy. I need some sleep now cos I ate too much yummy food from there.

Not a happy bunny with lemon chicken it was like eating bits of rubbery prawns nothing like chicken so disappointing usually get breast chicken this was not chicken otherwise rice was nice

By far the best Chinese in Honiton! In all honesty, I used to think Wing Hong wasn't great, but after trying again I couldn't be happier with my food and service this evening. Crispy chicken balls, non greasy chow mein with a decent veg - noodle ratio. Delicious curry and egg fried rice. Prawn crackers were on point, and chicken cooked well and piping hot! Quick, polite service, lovely owners. If they offered delivery it would be the icing on the cake!

I travel often and I am always looking for good local cuisine. This evening I decided to try the food at Wing Hong and I can honestly report that the quality of the food was superb. My compliments to the chef.

Wing Hong is my favourite for chinese food in Honiton, I prefer it to the Birds Nest. Wing Hong also do a good curry, they take card payments over £15. Food is tasty and always nice and hot.

Very good food. We were surprised how good the food was. Being a vegetarian it can be difficult finding good food. But this place was good and not that expensive. Would definitely go again

I ordered chicken and chips with barbecue sauce and prawn crackers the chicken was a really small bird the sauce was sweet and sour but no prawn crackers as I live a mile away it was cold when I got home

Beautiful food, we made a big order and it was ready within 20mins, fresh, hot and very tasty. We are definitely fussy customers and rarely review takeaways but this was outstanding so needed to review. You will not be disappointed. Unfortunately we aren’t local (here on holiday) it’s much nicer than our nearest takeaway at home

Ordered a takeaway from here, fed four of us for under £30, fast service, easy ordering, hot food. Food wasn’t anything spectacular, but perfectly average Chinese takeout. Loses a star for not having tofu available.

Sorry but under the new ownership this is the sort of place that gives Chinese food a bad reputation. A friend of a friend got a takeaway the other week and I tried it. At least when I worked there, the sauces were prepared from scratch not bland tasteless bought in stuff. Although if you do buy it pre-prepared to save time / effort you can add a few of your own touches to make things tastier. Curry had not curry flavour / taste at all, just a sauce with some meat and veg. Sweet and sour had not sourness at all! To think my relatives worked so hard over the decades and now everyone just wants to take the easy way to try and make money without the effort. Where’s the pride gone?

I ordered the sweet & sour Chicken Hong Kong style ,It was A generous portion and very delicious. The staff are extremely friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend and would use again. Well worth the 5 Stars

Service very nice and very good telephone manner. Big portions and food very hot. Big downside are sauces. Sweet and sour very stodgy and satay wasn’t nutty but watery and very spicy. Not nice at all. Therefore only 3/5.

The worst chinese takeaway we have ever eaten....we ordered the set menu for 2 people plus a few extras. The chow mein tasted like it had been cooked in perfume...perculier flavour. The pork balls very dry & fatty. Sweet & sour sauce had an odd flavour. The crispy sticky shredded beef...was covered in sweet & sour sauce...so not sticky at all. The prawn balls & rice was ok. Very disappointed as It was my birthday meal....never again...a total waste of money.

Absolutely awful, crispy beef looked like rabbit droppings chicken curry looked and tasted absolutely awful stodgy cold rice. Quite simply the worst takeaway meal I have ever had

I love the food here, I had chicken chow mein and beef curry, and honestly it was delicious, the chicken has zero fatty bits, it's so tasty, the rice is just how I love it and the beef curry is gorgeous, maybe a tad spicey for me but the meat is perfect, not fatty, I used to use the birds nest, but lately the meat in the beef curry is nothing like beef more a fatty substance.

This is vile we usually use the birds nest but they are closed due to staff holiday so came here... The egg fried rice was cold , chilli chicken was cold and the chicken in the curry was properly imported from and easten country it tasted and looked so cheap. The chicken balls where dry and overcooked also had a vegetable chow mein which had about as much veg as a KFC pretty much the worst takeaway chinies I have had. Hopefully you improve your food as you can tell your business is obviously not getting many customers as your shop front could do with a link of paint not to mention the till.. looks like something from only fools and horses good luck... BIRDS NEST WILL BE OPEN SOON I would go there people of honiton
