Wing Fong in North Devon

Food was exceptionally tasty and piping hot. Quite pricey but the portions are decent sizes.

Wing Fong do undoubtedly produce a good tasty Chinese. They do however, either need to take on more staff, or accept less orders. My last three orders have taken over an hour to deliver, which is irritating enough in itself for a Chinese, but last night I was made to wait two hours, which was ridiculous! What are they doing? Growing their own rice in paddy fields and searching the neighbourhood for a fattened duck? Too slow. Too slow!

Food was still hot when delivered. Polite driver. Lady on the phone was polite. Would recommended.

ordered at 5pm, specified delivery to be 7.05, delivered 745. also my order was wrong, ordered special fried rice but received what seemed to be special fried noodles!! quite disappointed tonight.

Lovely food. Will defiantly order again.

I’d order again from this establishment but wouldn’t use just eat.. Their service is appalling.

Best Chinese restaurant in town

I've ordered takeaway from here many times and back when I was very young, my family would order from here too and still do. Very confused to see quite a few negative reviews of the food, as every time we've ordered from the Wing Fong, it's been absolutely delicious. The wait time for delivery is often about an hour, but it's only a little place, likely with a small team, so I don't mind the wait. I just order a little earlier to compensate. I'm vegan and there are plenty of marked veggie dishes to choose from. I find that the tofu is always cooked perfectly and portion sizes are great! Every restaurant has their bad days, so I'd take these really bad reviews with a grain of salt! It's my favourite Chinese takeaway to order from 😍

food was cold and took nearly 2 hours

Overpriced and tasteless. This was supposed to be a treat but it was very poor and to top it off Ive just woken up to be sick, hope to god that’s it and not actual food poisoning 🤢

I ordered the bean sprout chow main, £7.50, it had 6 bean sprouts in and the noodles were bland and overcooked, no flavour at all. The egg fried rice was undercooked and had barely hit the pan. I’m surprised that they managed to get 2 of the most basic dishes on the menu so wrong. This was my first order with them and sadly my last. I hate leaving poor reviews especially for small businesses but this isn’t the place to go if you want to treat yourself to a takeout.

A wrong item was delivered, so I contacted the restaurant and they said they will cook and deliver the missing item but by this point the rest of my food was stone cold

I live in South molton but all the Chinese takeaway in South molton are rubbish so I had one from here and I think it one of the best Chinese I ever had. Brilliant

Exceptional food and service as always. Piping hot considering the food has to travel 5 or 6 miles. Good portion sizes and flavoursome. Will definitely be ordering again.

We loved the food. But not happy with the service. Also no parking. They said 25 minutes to prepare the food but it took 40 minutes. And the staff is very rude. Food was good.

was expecting to wait for about an hour and it turned up about half hour after ordering was placed and payed for. the food Was lovely and filling.

All the food was amazing. I especially enjoyed the sweet and sour sauce on my Hong Kong chicken.

The woman that answers the phone makes ordering the most miserable part of this take away. She’s abrupt, non engaging and rude. No thank you for your custom, nothing. Puts us off ordering!!

Delicious, hot, filling, wonderful!

I think someone was a little heavy-handed with the salt pot. Chicken curry was very salty, left both of us very thirsty for hours after eating. Which is unusual generally the meals are fantastic

Disappointed as we have always order from Wing Fong. The prices are higher & yet the quality is not as good as usual. Bangcock curry was mostly onion and not much meat and the rice was dry. Usually we are impressed sadly not this time

I had avoided this place for a while due to the price, but after craving a good Chinese meal, I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did! The food did not disappoint—everything was delicious, made with quality ingredients, and the portion sizes were generous. Definitely worth it for anyone who appreciates tasty Chinese cuisine.

We came down from London and were staying at Anderton House. We often go to restaurants in Chinatown and have had some excellent meals and this meal was just as good. The sweet and sour was nice and crispy which is rare and just how they have it in Hong Kong. The delivery driver was great because the house is difficult to find. Excellent meal and delivered on time.

Fab food and turned up on time. We enjoyed what we had ordered and would order there again.

Thai special fried rice was delicious and the salt and chilli chicken was really good. Wouldn’t recommend the Thai curry it had a really thick gloopy sauce and a strange aftertaste.

I came to collect on time for when I was told it would be ready but sat waiting for a further 20 minutes. No issue with a reasonable wait on a busy Saturday night, but don’t say it’s going to be ready at a certain time then leave us waiting for a further 20 minutes. Came home to eat, one dish was freezing cold - not luke warm, but freezing cold as if it had come straight out of the fridge. Another dish which was specifically a vegetarian dish came with various meats. I wouldn’t have called to complain if it wasn’t for this, as my partner is vegetarian and this spoilt her meal. The lady on the phone was short, abrupt and unhelpful as to what was already a quite poor experience. Only solution offered was a replacement dish at 10pm of which I would have to drive back across town to collect. I was not given an apology, and was repeatedly told it was someone/something else’s fault. A bit of help and compromise, admission of fault and the offer of a fair and reasonable solution goes a long way, and would have been adequate for me to accept a few mistakes with the order without feeling the need to write this. But the poor customer service is the reason for the bad review, in addition to various issues with our order. We’ll be going elsewhere next time.

Great food as always and very helpful when I had to call them.

Great tasting food, hot and good portions. Was more expensive than we imagined but worth it; definitely a treat rather than a regular thing. Slightly late but not too bad and the food was still hot and very yummy.

The seaweed was the worst , very tough and chewy. Very expensive too. The Singapore noodles are under the vegetarian section and contained prawns and chicken. And we’re so hot and spicy. The prawn crackers were very well done. Not quite burnt. King prawn & pineapple was ok and black bean veg ok. Won’t go again.

I don’t ever order fish dishes as I do not eat any fish and absolutely everything I ordered had a distinct fish taste 🤢 absolutely vile I have ordered before and it was lovely but this has completely put me off

disappointed as when ordering a note was left asking for no sauce in the duck and mushroom dish... it was covered in a sauce and it was also extremely salty

avarge food that's way overpriced. duck rolls where on point but there Currys are awful the consistency of the sauce, the flavour. I've had microwave Currys with more layers and depth than that this red curry. won't be ordering again

Have eaten here in the past and it’s been great, however not recently. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be ordering again, noodles were fairly tasteless,same with the egg fried rice which didn’t seem cooked enough- bit hard and dry,the king-po chicken was very gloopy and didn’t taste that nice. The crispy wontons and free prawn crackers were nice though!

Food has gone downhill recently I ordered special chow mein today and for the second time I had 3 shrimps in the portion. I know that they are covering themselves by having shrimps in it but very stingy. I would expect equal quantities of named meats and seafood. To be fair I would rather pay a little more and get the quality I remember from my first experience. We all know that the price of ingredients has boomed but takeaway is a treat for most people and it should be as good as you can make your self but without the hassle.

Worse Chinese I’ve had in years, had n taste. Plus waited a hour and a half on a Sunday night to be delivered from when I placed order

Had a really big order, for a Saturday girls night-in. (Ordered @ 20.20) ETA 9.30 till 9.50 ( anticipated a long wait cos of size of order & being a Saturday night), but order arrived @ 9pm all really tasty & hot. 😀

Honey roasted pork rib was gorgeous, but the rice was a bit dry, I’ll definitely get a sauce next time. Meal came with free prawn crackers which was nice, and loved the banana fritters. Will order from them again :)

Disappointed with the pancake roll though - so greasy compared to the usual - glad I only ordered one this time.

App said it had been delivered, so was a worried, but did eventually turn up and was lovely.

Absolutely terrible food quantity, We ordered about £60/£70 worth of food on NYD and my chicken chow mein had whole shrimps in it. We rang up and they said it was a mistake and offered £6 credit, which doesn’t even cover the cost of it, I had to Throw away due to smelling a bit fishy with the shrimps in it, management clearly do not care as there was no good will gesture, or nothing to make up for the fact 3 shrimps ended up in a chicken chow mein. Sweet and sour pork was basically all batter and barley and pork in it at all! Absolutely appalling, it’s a shame as we do order from here often. Would not recommend, and unfortunately we will not be returning back.

be nice when they busy to put allergies on there menu trying to call and phone cuts you off love there food but please put allergies on there ie seame seeds

Beef curry and chips... Nice chips, curry had huge amounts of onions in it not for me!

The food was very mediocre, not really worth the money especially for vegetarians. The Chow Mein was completely tasteless, literally boiled noodles with a bit of colouring. I think the other ratings on here are really over exaggerating the taste and quality.

Very nice. Food a little overpriced through just eat but reasonable priced if ordered in the shop
