Excellent place but sadly now closed.

My wife and I have been eating at this restaurant for years. Wine and reason held our pre wedding meal outside their restaurant which was amazing, lovely food and great tasting wine! Thanks again Lewis and Emma x

Cannot recommend highly enough. Delicious, locally sourced and interesting dishes and drinks menu packed full of really yummy wines. Staff are so friendly and accommodating, relaxed atmosphere and very fair prices. Will be coming back time and time again!!!

Nice bar! Amazing wine selection from sparkling to white and red (lots by the glass), good food and wonderful service. What more do you want? They are very knowledgeable when it comes to wine.

I love wine and reason, and go here whenever I'm in the area, love the food, excellent choice of wine and beer, staff are very friendly and helpful, nice location on the front, with parking nearby, dog friendly too!

Gorgeous food and wine, though the place needs a bit of a clear out near the counter as feels messy.

After a long day I was tired and my partner advised that she would like some food from this place. I'm not a massive fan, but it was her choice and I was hungry. I ordered and collected our meal twice as on both occasions they screwed up the order. Called a third time to advise with a huge apology from the owner. By this point I was tired and fed up. Promised a £20 voucher would be emailed to make up for their error; it never arrived. A note to the owner, it's considered appropriate to mute the phone before shouting obscenities to your staff. Makes you look unprofessional and merely highlights the inefficiencies of your establishment.

Eat here last night. Don’t really know Worthing that well, and found Wine & Reason as a recommendation. What a lovely little place. Food was great….. the Wine was really great and the staff super friendly and attentive! If you’re looking for an unpretentious place to enjoy a glass of wine and some nice food. Wine & Reason is the place to go in Worthing!

Went here for lunch with my wife. Been meaning to go for a while. Really nice experience. Interior is lovely and intimate. The guys that run the restaurant were friendly and helpful and the position is great. Food is all vegan or vegetarian. We ordered 4 small plates and a side of halloumi fries, everything was really good. The tempura battered mushrooms were amazing. Really recommend this place for veggies or non veggies, you won't miss eating meat. Really hidden gem in the town.

Vegan / vegetarian food in an atmosphere that isn't fast food, and that has decent wine and a grown-up but friendly and easy ambience. You can drag your carnivorous friends in here and they'll thank you for it. Tapas style ordering means you can be greedy and try loads of things. I'm slowly working my way through the entire menu and haven't been disappointed yet by anything. Bloody lovely.

Had such a lovely tapas meal here with friends. Vegan food and absolutely delicious & recommend the sticky sweet corn and the asparagus tempura. Really reasonable and lovely cosy atmosphere.

Great meal! None of us are veggies but we thoroughly enjoyed the range of dishes (we ordered one of each). Incredible range of menu. The team were fun, accommodating to our wine tastes (very knowledgeable about the wine - surprisingly so - this really stood out, able to supply tastes of some where appropriate) as well as being fun, tolerant and friendly. Really looking forward to coming back. I think we were served by Paul and Gemma (manager and asst manager), but may have misremembered - if so it’s the wines fault! Awesome team and set up. Had dinner with my friend there yesterday evening. Wow, the tapas dishes were amazing and the white wines we had lovely and dry and refreshing. Service was very friendly, we literally felt at home x would definitely recommend and hope to return on my next visit to Worthing

What a surprise this eatery was! 4 fully converted carnivores. The food was so good, that when it came to 'dessert' we decided to order some of the main dishes again instead! Couldn't recommend the tapas menu enough. You definitely don't have to be a vegetarian/vegan to enjoy the tasty food here. Cosy atmosphere and fabulous friendly staff.

Brilliant service from Paul and the team, great food, great wine- an essential stop in Worthing, particularly if you’re vegetarian/vegan. Be warned though it goes get busy on weekends so worth calling ahead or coming early (we came at 5 and managed to snag a table).

We visited Wine and Reason on Sunday and was very pleasantly surprised by the perfection of the the whole evening. The wine, and the knowledge from Fergus was invaluable. The tapas was devine. In all a truly memorable evening.

Wine & Reason is the jewel in Worthing's restaurant crown! From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we felt welcomed, relaxed and well looked after. The staff are brilliant & you can tell they love working there. The chef, who I am reliably informed trained under Gordon Ramsey, smashes it out of the ball park when it comes to the exquisite mouth watering vegan tapas & the wine that accompanies the delectable dishes goes down a treat. Don't bother with the over priced vegan restaurants in Brighton - get yourself down here for the BEST vegan tapas, an extensive wine menu and the friendliest staff outside of your favourite festival! Winner winner no chicken dinner!

Very friendly knowledgeable staff, lots of wines to choose from, menu changes so must come back often 😁. Nice eclectic mix of background music played, relaxing place to sit mid afternoon with glass of red and bowl of olives. Predominantly vegan/vegetarian food, small tapas style during day with more substantial evening meals available, they have regular evening events including cheese and wine. It's a small place, well laid out, with additional seating outside (much under canopy). Access: Small step at front door but they have a ramp to wheel down a couple of steps inside. Loo not really accessible as down couple more steps but lots of help around if you can do them, I feel the lovely people there will do anything they can to help with access, perhaps phone ahead to discuss requirements. Gem of a place!

Delicious food, fantastic wine and a cosy atmosphere.

To be honest my partner and I were originally a little put off by the menu, as there were a few indications that things weren't made freshly, seeing things like quorn. For this reason we had never decided to go in, We finally decided to go and I'm so glad we did because it is genuinley our new favourite restaurant in worthing, the food was delicious and the wine was stunning, the prices reflect what may not be made from scratch so there isn't too much of an issur with any of that and the cozy ambience and friendly staff more than make up for that, can't wait to return

An amazing place for veggies and vegans, there were plenty of gluten free options as well which was a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere was wonderful and staff were so helpful too. I had a plate from the tapas menu and two sides, I was a little underwhelmed with the tapas dish - both portion and taste, so would probably order a dish from the main menu next time. But all in all, was a great little restaurant and can't wait to come back and try more!

As South African living in Worthing it was amazing to see a really nice selection on S.A wines. Amazing service and fantastic food. We have often ordered off of Just Eat and the food is just as delicious either way!

Booked a table for Saturday only to turn up to find a note on the door saying it was closed. That's fine but we didn't even receive a phonecall letting us know so we could book somewhere else to eat as we had people visiting us. Wasn't very professional. Can't comment on the food as I didn't get any!

Great place for vegan food and super friendly service. Wine options are great and come with good advice. We had various tapas options, the tapas plate portions were on the smaller side and for 2 people, we ordered 9 plates. Moderately expensive but nice atmosphere and ambiance. I would suggest making a reservation as depending on the time you book, they try and get 2 evening services. Meaning you may have a limited window of time before having to give up your table. Worth a visit and I will be going back to try more options.

Great selection of food. A bit disappointed with my main of nachos which was mostly chips and not much topping for the price, but pudding was excellent. Beer was £6 a glass! Which I only realised once I got the receipt. Lovely staff and atmosphere though.

Without doubt one of the best evenings we’ve had out and our first proper night out since the world attempted some sort of normality. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to visit. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel like family. The food was impeccable and the wine even more so. Really delicious and beautifully presented food at really reasonable prices considering the time and effort that goes into it. A burger and side of fries came to £11. A few days earlier I paid £11.50 for that at a Brewers Fayre and this one was waaaaaay better. Friendly guys running the place too.

Vastly exceeded my expectations. The vegan tapas is well thought out and executed - we ended up ordering more even though we were full. A solid wine list with plenty of variety, with many available by the glass. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. We are already planning our next visit.

I visited this place once as a drinker and now as a non-drinker, it doesn't really matter, when I did drink the wine menu was second to none in Worthing, with the owner full of details about the wine and advice, Brilliant. I visited last month as a non-drinker and the food was amazing. Totally delicious tapas style food portions, in a great little venue and good service.You should definitely check this place, we will be returning.

I visited Wine & Reason last Friday as the friends we were going out with, one was a vegetarian & one a veganI was a little dubious because I love my meat, fish etc but we thought we would give it a goReally pleasantly surprised! The menu is a selection of meat-free tapas and to be honest we probably tried it all apart from a couple of dishes Really well presented and the taste was amazing, lots of full on flavour! The beetroot arancini & kimchi spring rolls were my favourite but hubby loved the oyster mushrooms with wasabiOf course the other thing which is fab about this place is their wine selection.We tried two bottles; an Argentinian and a French malbec! Both were really nice but the French malbec was an eye opener, really fruity and smooth; delish! All in all a very enjoyable evening; good food, excellent wine and really great attention from the waiting staff! Thorough recommend

What a place. I can't believe it's been in Worthing so long and this was my first visit. Great ambiance in the evening and the food was really delicious. Obviously a great selection of wines but also serves spirits of your rather. I’ll definitely be back soon!

A place that Worthing has been crying out for, and it really works. Wine is one of those very daunting things we face, whether it be buying from a shop/specialist or a wine bar, and indeed, with such a variety to choose from by the glass as well as bottle, the coolest of laid back people might get in a fluster. Don’t worry, though, at Wine & Reason, Fergus is not only the best host, along with Laura, they can both recommend a wine if you are just popping by for a cheeky glass or something to pair with the fab veggie/vegan tapas menu. Yes, high days & holidays, but with a chilled ambience & fab food & wine right on sunny Worthing, there is no better place to while away a few hours.

I had heard very good things about Wine and Reason and many of my friends and family had been to this restaurant. We visited last night and had a lovely tapas meal.Under the Government Eat out to help out scheme, the four of us got £10 off per head.So we ordered the WHOLE menu!!I dont think i have ever ordered off the whole menu but we were served a really lovely tasty range of Vegan tapas dishes.These included Crispy Chilli Tofu, Grilled Halloumi, Button Mushrooms, Imanm Aubergine, Triple Cooked Chips, Peppars with Rioja Salt.We enjoyed these lovely Tapas dishes with a lovely bottle of Baron De Ebro Rioja red Wine. This was suggested by Fergus and for me this is one of the finest ever Rioja's i have ever drunk...nice and not too heavy on the taste.The restaurant is nicely and elegantly laid out with a lovely relaxed , chilled atmosphere..with nice jazz music playing in the background. The service was excellent. Fergus and Laura were ever so attentive, helpful and friendly.In my visit to Wine and Reason, this was one of the first times I have ever eaten Vegan tapasNow this was a challenge for me as a meat eater (and sometimes fussy eater!)But my advice to you..is to go with an open mind and experience the many lovely tasty dishes on offer.I really enjoyed the food and lovely red wine on offer. Loved all the dishes served.Great restaurant, really excellent service and Vegan tapas food which is simply delicious and out of this world.i will definitely be going back to Wine and Reason.Check this place out for a lovely fun evening of gorgeous tapas food!

Laura and Fergus are lovely and always very helpful selecting wines. There is always a brilliant array to choose from. The food is amazing, always a great selection and really interesting plates
