Excellent voice of vegan food. All perfectly seasoned, lots of Veggies, and cooked beautifully, especially the aubergine. Delivered right to the room of our hotel and the food was still hot. Great place.

The best Indian cuisine for miles, highly recommend it's now take away only. But they deliver locally. Good value for money and taste

Had a takeaway last night, ordered popadums, pickles, 2 kormas and 2 rice. Popadums tasted stale and the kormas were very poor, basically just a very watery coconut sauce not creamy at all as I would expect. I won’t be ordering from there again.

Ordered a takeaway from here, prices were very good but quality of food was poor. Both the chicken and veg buhna had no flavour. Service was quick and staff polite shame about the food.

Grubs good, website erratic to say the least. Used to be free delivery, now £4.50 for a three mile trip, plus 50p for something, a fiver extra. I'll still use them as the grubs decent, not so much though, I can cook my own and get the missus to deliver it to me when I send her out the back door and she walks round the front

My son and I were in the area staying at the local travelodge for 2 nights so got a delivery on our second night. So glad we did! We picked up a menu earlier in the day and asked Imran while there if we could have a delivery for about 9pm so he took our order there and then as we knew what we wanted. (This was about 5pm after we watched Wincaton FC nearby) He said will have it with us for 9pm. Bang in 9pm it arrived! Great service! We had a couple of their specials (nehari chicken and Bengal flame lamb) A couple of Palau rice , saag aloo, okra and a peshwari naan. The curries where amazing!! Lamb was lovely and tender. All turned up lovely and hot Great sized portions. Decent prices! Definitely recommend and Definitely have again if in the area!!!

Thoroughly enjoy our takeaways every time, food always hot and very flavoursome. If you’re fed up eating the same thing, Faz will always suggest an alternative, which is always enjoyed. Friendly, speedy and great food!

Lovely food we tried a number of dishes over time, all of them reasonably priced and very tasty. They used to do deliveries but stopped a while back I think the reason was to focus on building the restaurant. Will still use them but not as often as delivery works for us

Nice bagees but Tikka Masalla was really quite watery It’s not usually like this! What happened! A limitless bit of a disappointment, perhaps a different chef on!

Fantastic food, great service for a delivered takeout. Very polite and helpful but the most important thing was that all our food was absolutely delicious. No hesitation to recommend this.

Sad to see the restaurant closed due to Covid however the takeaway is very efficient. The website is very user friendly and the prices good value. Delivery to Henstridge was within the hour of placing the order although would not say the food was piping hot on arrival, although a quick zap in the microwave sorted it out. Great curry and full of flavour.

I used the restaurant website to order my food today. Very easy to use. When I collected it, the kitchen was busy, and the staff very polite. Very generous portions, and a lovely meal. Will definitely eat here again when in the area.

We ordered a large takeaway and had it delivered to Castle Cary for my Wifes 40th Birthday. Food arrived fast and piping hot. It was all absolutely delicious and such great value. Would highly recommend Wincanton Tandoori to anybody. Thank you for making my Wifes Birthday special!

Having recently moved to Wincanton, my friend and I thought we would try this out. Wow! Lovely takeaway, arrived earlier than anticipated and piping hot. The garlic chicken was gorgeous but packs a mighty punch! Poppadoms were crispy and no trace of greasiness. Good value for a meal for two - £30. Will definitely be using again!

Best curry I've had all year. Please move to Portsmouth - it was better than any of the takeaways there!

We had a lovely take away that was fresh and tasty and was ready on our arrival to collect. They are not open as a restaurant since closing due to Covid 19 however they do offer a delivery service and free within a certain distance of the take away. There are a nice range of dishes that are reasonable priced.

Been for two Xmas lunches here. The food and service are excellent. Will definitely go with the family sometime.

Just had a meal here with my son and son in law. Lovely small restaurant, very attentive staff and most importantly the food was absolutely amazing. Could not fault in any way. Very busy on takeaway but our food arrived in a reasonable time.will definitely return. Wincanton is very lucky to have such a good curry house. Very good pricing as well.

Just had the most amazing meal at this super friendly restaurant. Best Indian restaurant for miles in our view. Never had anything than a perfect meal. The family were very impressed and would definitely come again.

Great local eatery with great staff. Would recommend. It can get quite busy however, so book in during peak times.

This place looks nothing on the outside but once inside it is lovely food is too die for best nann bread we have ever eaten

All service staff were very friendly from arrival to payment, food was served promptly and was amazing. Very reasonably priced, especially drinks. The storefront looks a little dated in comparison with the rest (but by no means bad!); the interior is spectacular - especially the ceiling!

Didn't get around to taking pictures as we got stuck into the food straight away. I had a delicious mixed grill tandoori and we also had a yummy dopiaza. Reasonable prices and nice decor.

Myself, my partner and my parents went for a curry night The curry was amazing, service fantastic and such good value!! The only down fall was the décor inside, needs a touch up to freshen it up and also touch up outside!!! But definitely recommend and will be returning!!

We had a takeaway from here on our firsts night stay and because it was so good we returned with a friend at the end of our stay for a sit down meal. The waiters where brilliant and the food was great.

We are within walking distance for takeaway or eating in and we are never disappointed. The food is great quality and consistent whenever and however many of us there are. Eating in, it's small but the atmosphere is friendly and the service is always attentive and friendly. They have stopped trying to guess my 'usual' because I no longer have one - the menu is great and the only dishes I don't order are the ones I find a bit too hot for my palate. The only criticism I have is that in the summer, the restaurant gets far too warm for us to be comfortable eating in. We end up having a takeaway and eating it in the garden at home though so it's not a bad thing. If you don't have that option (ie have driven to eat there), it could be a little stuffy on a warm day. Well worth a visit.

Came with my sister and was slightly put off by exterior facade which sits on the high street. But looking in through the window there were already a good number of diners inside on a Tuesday evening. We were warmly greeted and settled at a table. What friendly and helpful staff. They were very knowledgeable about my vegan requirements from the poppadom toppings to my choice of main. I opted for a vegetable dhansak and a couple of chapattis as well as an aubergine Bhaji. All came hot and tasty. Standard Bangladeshi fayre. A couple of half’s of cobra and we were very satisfied customers as we left the premises an hour or so later. My sister enjoyed her chicken bhuna too. Don’t be put off by the decor - it just needs a bit of money spending on it. We however were happy to part with our bit of money for a tasty dinner.

The food and service here is spot on the money. Staff are welcoming and polite and we were never left waiting too long. The food aswell was exceptional. The best curry ive had in a long time and possible the best naan ive had. Tastes fresh and home made.

Visited the Wincanton Tandoori on a Tuesday evening for the first time and won't be the last, service and food was very good nice atmosphere and friendly service. Plenty of choice on the menu, everything we chose was very good and tasty. The place was packed so well worth booking.

Such a nice treat on a Sunday evening visiting the Indian buffet this restaurant provides! Gives everybody the chance to try something new! Have visited on non buffet nights and the food and service is just delightful!

A good curry is always a delight and Vaz and his team cook some of the best in the county. A really friendly place to sit and enjoy freshly prepared dishes that cater for all tastes.

First time in this restaurant last night and it will not be our last. We have been trying to have a meal here for months and it was well worth the trip - meals very good.

Just had the nicest take away from here. Chicken tikka saag was unbelievably tasty. Good portions, friendly staff, quick service and lovely interior. Take away was quick even though the restaurant looked full! Cannot fault this place. Will definitely be returning.

Looked for a decent Indian on Tripadvisor and noted the good reviews. All I can say is that the meals that we had were nothing special and rather lacking in flavour with the chicken being dry from over cooking. Nan breads lacking in garlic despite asking for them with extra garlic. Maybe the exterior view of the establishment should have put us off but we went against gut instinct with the good reviews in mind. Maybe a lesson learnt !

My partner and I ate an evening meal here last night. Both waiters were friendly and attentive. Menu was reasonably priced and the food we had was ok. I think we are spoiled at home with 2 excellent Indian restaurants close by but I don't mean this to be a bad review of the food. Restaurant is clean and fresh, dome effect and painting on ceiling adds space and is a definite feature!

Excellent Indian fare. The food was great and typical Indian combo. The restaurant is small but pretty and has a nice atmosphere. The management are good and service is as one would expect with careful attention and quick delivery. We were happy to eat here for a variation of our normal English menu.

We were visiting the area and phoned for a takeaway on a recommendation. We requested that the food be ready for a certain time and indeed it was. The staff are extremely friendly both on the phone and in person, and the food was outstanding. Level of spiciness was just right, from the hot dhansak (hot and tangy without being overpowering) to the vegetable dish which we requested very mild for our child. Both the meat and vegetable dishes were amazingly flavoursome, and the chapattis were perfect. Great value as well - two meat curries, two vegetable sides, rice and a pile of chapattis came to under £30 and fed four hungry adults and a 7 year old. We'll definitely return next time we're in Somerset.

We went on a Sunday evening for the all you can eat buffet. Service was fine but the curry selection was poor. Nothing hotter than a mild/medium and all curry dishes were bulked out with chick peas,veg or potatoes. We will go back and try dishes from the menu as several people have assured us that there main meals are of good quality.

Good curry (very mild, as I like, but surely available also hot). Delicious king prawns and chicken, small place, lively, in the middle of the village, main Street, I think. Kind owners and waiter, simple tables, friendly and fairly quick service. Small mint chocolate with the bill.

This is a lovely little find. This restaurant is eat in or takeout. The restaurant itself is very small and its decor isn’t the best but like I said “don’t judge a book” the staff are very attentive and look after you. Their Sunday all you can eat buffet is beautiful with a range of 6 different curries, starter selection and various rice. All is for just over £8. Really beautiful food.

We were holding our Wedding reception at the Grange in Horsington (a small village outside Wincanton) we had around 70 guests for our reception, we contacted Wincanton Tandoori to see if they could cater for our event. Faz the manager was very helpful, offering us the use of the Bain-Marie to keep the food hot.

Went with friends for Friday night dinner, never disappoints! Warm welcome, good beers, cold wine and lovely food!

What a great place to eat. We had a delicious meal here. The staff are so willing to please and friendly. They made a dish to my liking just changing it a bit so thank you for that. Really great food. Lovely and clean and gets quite busy too.

Great food, although no Air Con, the restaurant had nice air flow through with the doors open. This was our first time here, drawn by the Sunday Buffet. A good selection of dishes, with a couple of rice options, Naan and as many onion bhajis as you can eat! All the dishes were mild but tasty. We will be back ..

I've been living in the area for years and haven't found an Indian yet that tops wincanton tandoori! Faz the owner is welcoming and friendly, the food is exceptional, is highly recommend this too anyone! P.s Sundays are buffets!

Had an amazing meal this evening. The garlic chilli masala is my favourite, while husband tried a lovely, mild and creamy, banana chicken curry. We also ordered the Bombay potatoes and onion bhajis which were superb.We were very full after our lovely meal which was plentiful.The staff are friendly and attentive.We had a fantastic time and will be back again soon. Would highly recommend.

We had a very good meal here, selection of curries excellent with house specialities through to the usual vindaloos. £60 for three of us although we shared a mushroom baji starter. Included naan breads, popudoms and beer. Certainly will go back. Excellent and attentive service.

I visit Wincanton a few times in a year so this is not a local restaurant to me. I have eaten here many times and the food was delicious and the portions were generous as always. I have not ever had a bad meal here.

Went here with a few of my work colleagues, we were welcomed with a lovely smile and attitude, seated promptly. We weren't in there too long, as we were served quickly and our food came in lovely timing. It was hot and one of the best Indian dinners I had eaten in a while! I've also ordered from there to collect food, and the quality was just as good! Extremely pleased!

We often buy food from here and they are always so accommodating and offer good customer service, being polite and friendly on the phone and face to face.Telephoned at 4.45pm to see if they were happy to take an order for collection at 5.45pm, which they were more than happy to do even though they did not officially open until 5.30pm.The staff are always polite and friendly upon collection and when dining in and the food is very tasty, with very good flavours, we only ordered one dish today, but gave us some popadoms for free!

Right on the main road so easy to find. Plenty of places to park nearby. Very clean and tidy inside. Staff were friendly and happy to serve you. Food was quick to be served and very reasonable in price. The only downfall was that the peshwari naan was burnt on one side. Will go back again though.

A great restaurant which serves consistently good food. Eating is great as the owner and staff are really friendly and make you feel so welcome. It's worth booking a table on Friday Saturday and Sunday evenings. They do an all you can eat buffet on Sunday night. Take away is available also.

We have had a take away on a few occasions and on every occasion the food has been hot (temp) tasty and fresh! There is a good choice on the menu and reasonably priced! The restaurant seems very clean and well presented and the staff are helpful and friendly and you will often see people having a drink talking to the staff while waiting for their take away orders! The food here is lovely and when they say a time to pick up, it's ready your not left waiting!

Ordered a takeaway for four people on a busy Friday night and was able to pick it up only half an hour later - we were able to adjust menu items (make them a little spicier) with no problem at all and staff were pleased to accommodate. Food was freshly cooked, hot and incredibly tasty. Portion sizes were large - even had leftovers for the next day. Great value for money.

every time I get a takeaway from here its always tasty, the chicken is nice and tender and the flavours of the sauces is lovely, although regular the nann bread is a disappointment as it is always burnt and cold which is a shame.

The restaurant was very clean and pleasant, they kindly fitted us in even though we had not booked & they were very busy. The food was delicious and I found the atmosphere warm and friendly and the waiters very attentive, I would definitely recommend it.

Consistently high quality over many years. Always a warm welcome, good service and 99 times out of a 100 a fantastic meal. Not too many tables available so book in advance. If you have particular tastes or requirements just talk to the guys here & they will do their very best to prepare something to you'd like.

Had a meal here while staying at the Dolphin Inn which is a few doors down.Really nice food I had the Chicken Garlic Masala which was excallent.This place was very busy whilst I was there and they also did a lot of takeaways so looks popular with locals.

I used to love this place. Fantastic food and great service but they have recently had a visit from environmental health and according to their website they need to take radical action over the cleanliness.... They have been awarded 1 out of 5 for hygiene and for one I am very sad. I just can't support a place that won't respect their customer by keeping a dirty establishment. A real shame.
