First time using this Chinese, chips and curry sauce nice, chow Mein extremely dry, looks as though it had been re heated. Wouldn’t use again

microwaved piping hot food, you can tell this by the fried rice being lumpy and sticky and not light and fluffy, the main dish is piping hot too, both ready in a few minutes which is strange for fresh food. THey started doing this a few months ago and i thought it was a temporary thing but its not changed till now., They put the prices up as well and are microwaving food. I will not be back.

chilli beef and salt and pepper wings were amazing, good prices and lovely staff. would recommend and was quick service even on a saturday. accepts credit cards above orders of £5 i believe maybe£10.

Nice and tasty, prepared quickly , had the set menu for 2 people, very good value, pork, beef, chicken, fried rice and prawn crackers

Really poor take away from Win Chef last night the sweet & sour pork and the sweet & sour chicken were really soggy not crispy the rice was soggy and the whole didn’t taste of anything Really poor value and there was an open meal at a random table just inside the door, the front counter are isn’t clean or tidy it’s all a bit of mess that desperately needs cleaning and tidying up There are much better Chinese take sways in Thornbury

Staying In the area for a weekend away, decided to have a chinese. Lovely people, however the food lacked In flavour. The sweet & sour sauce was awful! The salt and pepper chips just tasted like normal chips. The rice was very dry The won ton soup was just like water The chicken was stringy & the squid was tough and bland. To cut things short go elsewhere

Visited whilst on a business trip. Ordered hot and sour soup, it was tasty but had no heat to it. It was also very gelatinous, hot really like a soup. Also had special chow mien, was ok with lots of veg and meat, unfortunately it was a little lacking in flavour. I would visit this take away again, however I would try something different from the menu. The staff are very friendly and the hygiene levels look very good.

Ordered for delivery to Thornbury, 1 hour wait time if you order early enough. Came on time. Ordered on phone and paid. Good food, chicken in black bean with green peppers very nice, duck a bit fatty for my partner in the shredded duck chow mein noodles. Prawn crackers topped it off nicely. Will be using again.

Been to this Chinese takeaway a couple of times now. The food is always ok. The curry sauce is really nice and the beef has good flavour. Spare ribs could be a little bigger but they come with a nice sauce. The prawn crackers are nice and always crispy. The chips are hit and miss.

Superb food and ready quickly for delivery enjoyed this so much.... Had special fried rice, honey ribs, sczechaun duck and sweet & Sour chicken balls

Win Chef is my local Chinese takeaway and I tend to go about once a month. I've not been disappointed with anything I've bought there, service has always been friendly and aside from on Saturdays when they can be very busy with telephone orders from well beyond Alveston, despite neighbouring Thornbury having multiple alternative Chinese takeaways, the food generally arrives quickly. I've only ordered Chinese food there, so can't comment on things like chips.

Staff who took our order friendly enough but the food was pretty bad to be honest, undercooked chips, chewy tasteless chicken and very bland special fried rice,dark brown curry, three of us working up this way and all had a takeaway which we took to separate rooms so it wasn’t until morning that we discussed and all came up with the same opinion. Saving grace was the toffee banana which was good.

Cost and contents of family set menu for 4 was good and most of it was ok but meat in sweet and sour was inclined to be tough. The chicken in the chicken with ginger and spring onions was under cooked for us.

For Chinese food this is our go-to takeaway. Never been disappointed yet with any food we have ordered be that separate dishes or set meals. Love the salr and pepper squid...delish!!!

Friendly staff and good food, large portions. Chow mein is good. Delivery’s take a while when busy, collections generally within 20min.

Everyone loved the food and said it was some of the best they've had. Could taste the fresh ingredients.

I’ve got a number of take aways from here and find them very friendly, polite and courteous..... the food quality is very good, and a good selection.. except the chicken black bean which I thought was a bit tasteless but otherwise very good indeed .. you can pay by card, not like cash only with another place in town ... I do recommend
