Really impressed with our experience. The Fortune House is everything I could possibly want from a Chinese Takeaway! The food was excellent. The portions were large and the prices very fair. Everything we ordered was hot and fresh. Our service was friendly and extremely quick. I can't wait to return!

Had soups and crispy special noodles for dinner takeaway. Most ever tasty noodles I've ever had. Will definitely come back and highly recommended.

You absolutely deserve 5*, really enjoyed yours your hot and sour and your chicken and sweetcorn soups, very flavorful. Crispy special noodles were a hit too. Will definitely be returning.

We have used Fortunes for years and they always meet our expectations .They missed a dish on delivery, recently , but after a phone call they delivered said dish within minutes, top marks. All the menu is wonderful,. delivered hot and always tasty.

Great food and great service. We usually collect but tonight we ordered delivery. They forgot the chips, we called, and they delivered them in 5 minutes! Can't ask for more, great place.

Wth food just amazing I just can’t say it with words

Just had a takeaway from here and was absolutely disgusting!no taste and beef and black bean sauce dish was just fatty beef and no taste !not happy for spending £24

ordered yesterday, and won't be ordering again. rock hard chicken balls. my beef in my chow mein was discoloured and no flavour to it at all and my chips weren't even cooked 😔 DO BETTER

WORST MEAL FROM HERE, EVER, AND THE LAST. Large order, pancake rolls, under cooked, chop suey swimming in a vinegar tasting red sauce, special chow mein was slimy in a soup type sauce, sweet and sour chicken had a weird taste, bbq ribs were all fat and gristle, salt and pepper chicken portions have been made a lot smaller, although prices haven't. Been a customer here for years, worst food ever, spoke to manager who told us to return it but it was already in the bin, i offered to bring the bin bag down, manager said he wanted it back as whole meals and not as rubbish, weird request. So they have lost 4 customers from this family at 4 addresses, PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

The worst Chinese in yate tried them a few times now every time I do they have missing items witch I payed for witch dint receive took a hour and half to get to me and the food was cold rang up and they dint care very rude wouldn't use them again

I regularly have deliveries from here. The food is tasty and the portions are of a good size. The deliveries come pretty close to the time requested and the phone service is friendly and efficient. They only take cash though so much sure you have enough. Delivery drivers are well supplied with change and are as friendly as the guy on the end of the phone. Won't be going anywhere else unless things change.

We have struggled, due to our location, to get a Chinese takeaway delivery! The customer service was excellent, delivery was super quick. Our meal was hot and very delicious. We would recommend and definitely be ordering again!

Waited over an hour for food. Opened the bags to find wrong food delivered. Its no longer a cheap takeaway now, so its really annoying when you receive the wrong food.

I have ordered a take away from here for my partner Judy several times and each time she has been happy...To all the guys reading this, and we no how important getting the Chinese meal correct :-)

This was the first time I had ordered from Fortune House and I wasn't disappointed. Ordering was really easy, and my order was ready to collect very quickly (15 minutes). When I collected my order, the staff were incredibly welcoming. Everything was clean, and with such a bright waiting area any lack of cleanliness would have been easily seen, but it was spotless. The constant stream of regular customers were greeted by the friendly staff, which was great to see. My food order was packed well, well cooked and simply delicious. My brother came over when he heard that I'd ordered and was equally impressed. I'd upload some photos but I was famished and tucked in straight away, leaving nothing on the plate. I'll be sure to post some pictures next time... which there definitely will be.

I did,nt like everything was sliced in curry.The chips were excellent.The rice was good.The curry sauce was poor.The chicken was excellent & large.

I walked in asked if they take cards or contactless, they told e they take cash only. I stopped carrying cash when covid broke out. So, if you can't keep up with modern times you get 2 stars.

My son fancied a Chinese meal for his birthday. 6 meals ordered with 4 rice and prawn crackers. All very nice, very good sized portions. Way too many prawn crackers,2 would have done for 6 of us. Definately go back again. Good value just over £10 a head. 6 meals cooked inside 30 minutes and all pipeing hot. At the moment cash only payment.

Ordered a delivery. Told 15 to 20 minutes. 1 hour 25 minutes later we've not had our delivery and we can't get through to them on the phone. Now shoving a pizza in the oven for the kids and I'm going out with no tea.

Always very busy, we've tried many dishes and never had a bad meal. It's cash only, no card machine which is easy to forget when most places are taking card only...

Had our first meal from there tonight it was awful no flavour slippery chicken that I could not eat just thinking about it makes me shiver The pork dish texture was good but sauce was awful So disappointed will not go again

Food is okay. Wouldnt go again. Food stuck to back of throat, egg fried rice tasted odd. Actually made me unwell the next day. Went back a few months later incase it was a one off, made me unwell again, tasted no different to before. Not for me.

Chips hard. Beef curry chewy. Chicken chow mein lots of noodles little chicken and onions nothing else. Saving grace was the pancake rolls. Won't be using again .

So much better than our regular manys takeaway only criticism not keen on there chips and not free delivery but meals very tasty.

'' I work hard for my money'' and when ordering food and I do not get a 'please', 'thank you' or a the general impression that the call taker actually cares about customer service and my potential to contribute to the businesses profit line... then I shall, and will spend my money with a company that shows it cares for my business.

A nice local Chinese Takeaway, the food is always really flavoursome and tasty. Friendly staff. Easy to order delivery from over the phone and only £1 delivery charge if you’re local. When food does get delivered it is still hot and you don’t have to re-heat any of it. More often or not they give us some free prawn crackers. We have only ever had one issue where they forgot an item off our ordered that they delivered but we rang them and the delivered the missing item to us within 5 minutes. Their quarter duck is lovely and their Fortune House Special Chow Mein is amazing!

Food is generally good. But lately the service is a let down. When ordering told food will be 20 minutes, but when arriving to collect the order being told it will be another half an hour because it is Friday 🤔

Absolutely fantastic. First time we ordered here. Quite a large order too. It took about an hour and arrived boxed up. Everything cooked well and tasty. Best Chinese in the area by far. Definitely be ordering again.

Ordered on line took 2 hours to arrive to find the whole set menu wasn't there 2 dishes were missing. Shame what did arrive tasted nice.
