Wimpy in Harlow

It's a shame, I love Wimpy Harlow one is very unwelcoming. Don't even put ketchup out anymore. They give you a little pot to taste from. They should visit Wimpy in Loughton or Cheshunt to see how that is run.

Vicky Attewell most brilliant worker. Couldn't of asked for better help of an employee she really does make the company so great. And so lovely being there.

vicky attewell was our server and manager today for our party- despite how busy it was and how many peopel were there me and my party noticed her enthusiasm toward her job and her flexibility for allergies, tollerances ext. i hope this gets recognition for all her work!

100% recommend service was great and the manager Vicky Attewell was amazing helped with all requests and made us all feel so welcome

The staff were lovely and were quick with service. All our food was excellent, our little one loved it too, it was a well enjoyed meal.

Terrible service my father ordered a cheese burger and my mother a toasted tea cake they took 30 minutes to arrive after ordering. The cheese burger was cold as it had been left on the counter for over 5 minutes and the tea cake was not toasted. When we enquired about the meal I had ordered I just got the vague response it take a few minutes it took about 8 minutes more l. By the time I received my meal my parents had finished theirs. No apology at all from the staff. I will never visit this place again

Nostalgic bite to eat ! Restaurant was spotlessly clean as were toilets. Staff were attentive, helpful and efficient.

Afternoon lunch with friends. Went in and place was virtually empty yet we were still aked to wait to be seated. Was eventually lead to a booth, waitress was very nice, all 3 of us ordered quarter cheese and chips tho my friend also ordered a bender (frankfurter sausage). Meal came up within minutes where I sent mine back as chips were stone cold. Was bought back in minutes. ( hotter but looking at them I am "assuming" they were chucked back in the fryer) very greasy and a tad soggy. Burger had hardly any sauce or salad and my friends bender looked like leather. She said it was extremely dry. We picked at what we had then left with half still on the plate. Absolutely not good enough, restaurant needs a proper management overhaul. Imo wimpy is one of the best burger joints out there that's been going for years but is nowhere near acceptable standards. Get it together wimpy!

Food and service good but everything took ages to come, which affected the experience. Staff were friendly but some very slow and others were overworked.

Oh dear grossly disappointed ! Ruined all my childhood memories of Wimpy . Won't be returning . Dry dusted bun, beefburger tasteless like patties not burgers . lacking flavour , minimal salad , no onions . Two pluses , The place was clean and waitress afternoon time was exceptional ! Chef very young and waitress kept checking we had correct orders!. Not sure if there had been other issues with orders . Doubt he knew what a Wimpy was bless him ! Anyway took my teenage son to experience a burger joint from my era and it didn't impress apart from the Music from those times which was enjoyable . Not cheap either !

2-1 on dessert is well worth it but it is only Monday-Thursday this is all we went in for which was nice to do . The staff was really nice helpful and polite

Turned up at 5.10pm to be told they had stopped table service. Then tried to order a takeaway only to be told we couldn’t as the grills had already been cleaned. Why stay open till 6pm if you don’t want to serve customers. Beyond believe as the other shops were still open. Ended up at McDonalds as they’re open till 9pm, finished our food walk back passed Wimpy and they were still clearing up. They must loss a fortune in customer.

Before taking my grandson to the pantomime, at Harlow Playhouse, on Saturday, we went to the (relatively) new Wimpy in town. It was really nice there. The wait for food, which was delicious, wasn’t as long as stated. There wasn’t a problem adjusting the menu slightly to suit my grandson. The tables were being cleaned as soon as they were empty. I don’t know what took me so long to visit the place. Next time I might try a breakfast 😋

I haven't had a Wimpy for years, but a Wimpy restaurant has arrived and I couldn't wait to try it, for childhood memories as much as the food, but my memories have been overwritten by a horrible meal. The bun - Not seeded & soft as I remember, it was hard-ish with a hard dusting on top. The dressing - I was expecting only small square onions, I got loads of lettuce which made the burger cold. The meat - Not the taste I remember at all, could have been any average burger. Even the chips were different. To cure the disappointment I thought I couldn't go wrong with a Brown derby, how wrong could I be! It was cold and a horrible dough taste. I remember it being deep fried & so tasty. I will never go to a Wimpy again. As far as I'm concerned they have destroyed what was a great burger meal. The only reason I have given two stars was because the staff were very good & listened to my ranting at how terrible it was that Wimpy had ruined everything I liked.

Waited 31 minutes for the food, and got wrong order, the breakfast (7.00)was appalling for the money, and the fries were undercooked, wasn't overly busy at the time, when will restaurant learn, put a notice up for waiting times, it's better than unhappy customers, then customers can choose to stay or go.. Love wimpy and used this branch many times, will go again, but hope for better next time

My lady friend and I visited for Lunch yesterday , most excellent all round the food was jolly and Julie said Her milk shake was “out of this world” . The chips were very tasty too

What a lovely place! The staff here were brilliant, very welcoming, fun, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was really yummy and we will defo be eating here again. Also very clean and tidy.

Amazing really lovely people had such a nice time the food was good price and the staff did not stop cleaning when not tending to customers

Awful staff forgot our drinks need training asap food chips were stale and food was really overpriced for what it is. Give these people training. Better off at McDonalds.
