Best curry house around. A genuine tandoori oven which is hard to find in the UK.

Amazing traditional Indian curries. Never fail to disapoint. Very well priced aswell. Must try.

Quality of the food is absolutely great. I tried their chicken Zale Zulu twice. The taste is constant. Hope they will maintain the same taste.

Ordered with an estimated 20-30 minutes delivery time from Just Eat. Was given an estimated 40-60 minutes after I paid. They cancelled after 45 minutes.

Yuck! Dishes were cold,full of sugar and salty. You need to up your standards. Would not recommend. Feel as though I have thrown my money in the bin.

I pre odered my food and it arrived on time however it was one the worst I've ever had. The pilau rice was dry, the chicken korma had massive slices of breast in it like from a carved roast chicken. I expected the korma to contain small chunks of chicken thigh and fresh coriander. The tandoori chicken was also dry. Basically everything tasted old and reheated. Definitely not fresh. Rank!!

I placed an order a few weeks ago. I ordered a chicken tikka masala which was lovely , however jalfrezi wasn’t very nice and I was confused as to why it had jalapeños in it.

Brilliant take-away, amazing staff and superb food. A real gem! Very impressed, keep up the great work boys.

Very poor food, meat dry , sauce was lumpy, bad stomachs that evening ,delivery came all crushed and sauce over everything, won’t be frequenting again!

We have always ordered from here for the last 8 years however our two recent orders (last Saturday and today) haven’t been good. The poppadoms were burnt, the chicken tikka masala was lacking flavour and so was the chicken balti. Last weeks order was also tasteless. Such a shame as we are very local but will now go elsewhere. We have no complaint about the service and delivery was in the time specified through just eat.

We have ordered from Wilstead Tandoori many times for large family gatherings. The food has always been delivered hot and fresh and everything on the order has been recieved with plenty of extra sauces enjoyed by all!!! Thank you WT

Normally quite a nice takeaway but on this occasion I have to say not great . I had a butter chicken currie and the sauce was very grainy and not smooth at all so disappointing, the papadam’s didn’t seem fresh . My wife said hers was ok though in a positive note .

Had to wait for food but not surprising as they were so busy. This takeaway is the best Indian food we have tasted. Really good food well cooked pleasant staff.

Since this place was taken over in Covid the service is excellent. Tasty authentic Indian food & great quality is always freshly made. 👍🏻👍🏻👌

We Oder first time lamb was not cooked probably chiken was not cooked probably when we call in the shop tell them about the food they respond ok no worries never said sorry or they said something else and it’s was first time and spend 40 pound

Great food. Stopped there on the way home as I was in a hurry and wife (and food) not waiting at home. The food was great, my wife won't thanks me for saying this but the chicken curry and sides I got were better than hers (and my wife is Indian) lucky I found this place by accident and will be a regular from now on. give the wife a few nights off.

Just ordered a chicken balti. What I received was an onion balti with a few bits of chicken. Not great first visit for me 🤷‍♂️

Needed to just write a quick review and say the curry we had last Weekend was fantastic, probably the best Vindaloo I've ever had, will be back for more!!!

Last night I thought I would try an Indian out of Bedford to how see how it was in comparison , it’s set a new level in the future I will be ordering from wilstead tandoori I live at the new estate opposite the hospital in Bedford and was really happy with the delivery time quicker than most in Bedford food was still piping hot and food quality was 10/10 thank you providing excellent service wilstead tandoori!!!

Absolutely lovely tikka masala and Dan sack and mushroom bargi wad beautiful cannot complain we were skeptical as others said was rubbish but we found it lovely and we ate particular with take aways as we come from north London so good yo find a real good takeaway. 👍

Amazing food of the highest quality, i don't usually leave reviews but so much time and effort was put into the dining experience from Wilstead Tandoori that i had to leave this review. Really good customer focused services and everything was done perfectly just as requested. Ignore the bad reviews unfortunately some people want something for nothing, the value to quality ratio is top class, looking forward to trying some other dishes. 10/10 Thanks again Wilstead Tandoori

As usual, food was extremely good. I buy their Vegan options and they are wonderful - full of flavour and ingredients. (Many takeaways take an easy option if you just want veg). Lots of spicy flavour and a good variety of veg. Their vegetable fried rice is the best I've had anywhere, even expensive restaurants. Rest of menu is always good too, as partner can testify. Staff always helpful and friendly. Great to have a local take-away that caters for us vegans, not many specialise. Highly recommend.

Ordered and collected within 1/2 hour. All dishes were well made and cooked with quality lamb and chicken. Their lemon rice is superb.

The dryest masala ive ever seen! Sauce? What sauce? Chunks of meat in a pile of onions. Utter rubbish. Tried twice, never again

We have had lots of meals from Wilstead Tandoori, always great food, service and a lovely owner. Prompt delivery, would highly recommend. Good vegan and vegetarian options.

Ordered a curry for 4 which I went to collect. When we went to eat it the chicken tasted old and rubbery and the naan bread like cardboard. I rung up and the person on the phone asked me if the chicken tasted like hard rubber or soft rubber. I went there for a refund only to be told that they'd rung up other customers to ask and they'd all said theirs were OK. I was then given a refund and was barred. I wasn't intending on going back anyway.

We had delivery last night for five people. Placed online order and it arrived in 20 minutes. We did have a naan missing but they sent out replacement. Peshwari naan best I have ever had as was the prawn puree. Food was delicious and plentiful. Will be back again soon.

The Zale Zule was perfect, perfect balance of heat and flavour. Possibly my new favourite dish. The peshwari naan could have had more sweetness and filling, but still very enjoyable. The person on the front desk was very apologetic for the delay (5-10mins on a collection), they didn't need to be, it was a Saturday night, of course it's going to be busy! Overall very happy, have used before and will use again.

Ordered for collection. Food was waiting when i arrived which was a great start. The food was nice and hot by the time I got homw which was also great. The lamb curry was nice and hot what I had asked for, however there was not enough lamb but loads of sauce. The nann could of been a bit bigger for the price. But overall very nice meal. Would order again for sure More meat in portions maybe ( hint hint) lol.

So useful having a curry house in the village and the food is delicious too. Have had many dishes from there since the new owners moved in and am pleased to say, I have not been disappointed by the quality of the food. This is one local business that is definitely an asset and worth supporting.

We had takeaway - I chose from the vegan selection (yes, there are a range of vegan dishes), my husband and son went carnivore.The food was tasty - I recommend the Cauliflower Balti and the Aloo vegetables particularly. Husband and son enjoyed theirs too.Meals were packed into separate bags; generous portions and ready to collect on time. We’ll certainly eat from there again.

Naan was inedible covered in something burnt. Ordered two different meals, the pilau rice was just boiled rice with food colouring. Each dish was oily, salty and the chicken obviously added to a pre-made sauce. All but the small amount we struggled to eat went I the bin. I’ve eaten a lot of Indian takeaways over the years but nothing quite as awful as this

After recently moving into the area, we asked friends where a good Indian takeaway was. They told us to avoid Wilstead Tandoori, for a while we did, until we were left with no other choice - and besides, stories get blown out of proportion and actual reviews can get very twisted. The only thing twisted, was me and my partner on toilet all night. Avoid!

Ordered a special biriyani and a kebab roll puri. The food was delicious they also gave free condiments of onions and sauces on the side and a veg curry! Social distancing measures were also in place. First time I've eaten from here and would defo eat again. Thanks !!!!!!

Ordered at 5.30pm, website said an hour for delivery which was fine. Recieved a text at 6pm and said would be ready in 10 minutes, nothing arrived by 6.300m so phoned up and was told would be at least another hour wait or I could collect in 15mins. I arrived at 6.45pm, male on the order desk ignored me and answered a call before walking off, was another 5 or so mins before came back and asked my address before giving me the order no apology or anything. Arrived home and order was wrong, tried to call but no apology or anything. Food was like warm, will not be going there again! Will be going back toTawa in Deadmans Cross is amazing food and there service is brilliant! I would not recommend this one which is a same as always want to support local businesses in the village!

£26 for 2 meals and it's still sat on the kitchen side! The only edible thing was the GREEN salad which contained carrots and tomatoes!! The chicken was so dry it made your teeth squeak and the naan was undercooked and wet. Rang to complain and got told everything was fresh and cooked properly- total denial. Then he put the phone down when I said I disagreed.

Absolutely foul. I have never had a curry as discussing as the one delivered tonight. Will not be using them again. How are these people still in business. They even made me another when I rang up to complain. It was worse tha. The first one. Nasty nasty nasty.

£50 takeaway treat for the family went great in the bin. It was clearly not fresh, the chicken was like rubber and the naan like leather.When we called up to complain they offered a full refund...it was never provided! Just Eat washed there hands of it and also did not publish the feedback we provided!You have been warned

Food arrived cold AND hard - almost as though it had been overly microwaved, then left to chill! We honestly couldn't eat it. Phoned the restaurant, who originally offered nothing, then a £5 refund, then a full refund. Guess what? They never actually refunded us and are now ignoring our communications! What an utter waste of a really hard-earned £50! Angry!

Don’t bother with this Indian, the food was disappointing... onion skin left in meal, rice was watery, Chicken Tikka masala was watery and tasteless ... a shame as use to be really tasty, many many more Indian takeaways to choose, don’t waste your money using this one. Dreadful ...

Food is always good from Wilstead Tandoori. Very friendly service too. Highly recommend.

The food itself was nice, unfortunatley the customer service was terrible! We walked in and placed our order and as advertised we were entitled to our 20% discount. The guy laughed at us and said no, so in the end he gave us £1.50 off of a £65 order! When we collected our food and got home they had missed out a peshwari naan and rice to which the response was When we rang up was "bad luck". It had put a dampner on our family meal as we have flown over from Australia to see family and have a nice curry. We wont be going there again and I reconmend others steer clear until they step up their game. You may be the only curry house in the village but that doesnt mean you get to treat the locals like dirt and expect to get our hard earned cash!

We have been getting takeaways from here for many years and it has had its ups and downs. Lately though we have had some lovely meals, freshly made and the staff are always polite and helpful

2 years after an awful meal, we decided to give it a go again. I was surprised that it was very nice. i had spoken to the manager who had told me it had changed hands once again. look forward to trying it in the future.

Only because I have to leave an option, in the past 5 years wilstead tandoori had gone from unbeatable to untouchable. I wouldnt even feed this meal to my worst enemy. I haven't visited in a couple of months after a bad vist, the starters were a good standard , then we had curries which were watery and tastless - tasted like it had been frozen and then re heated. I won't be going back , it's a shame as it's oobly up the road. But not puting myself through this again. Such a disappointment!!!

Great tasting food, delivery can be quite long but normally worth wait! Missed a side on my last order but said will make it up on next.

I would also leave no stars if I could curry wasnt that great, they didn't have time to to make a cheesy naan bread even though they were about to make the rest of my meal and they also didn't want to take card as I was waiting they left the kitchen door open to see a man stuffing his face of curry and I've never seen such a dirty kitchen definitely won't be going back

Only gave 1 as no option to leave no stars. This place has gone drastically downhill over the last few years. Swore I wouldn't use it again about 6 months ago but my kids talked me into trying it again today. Never again. 2 lukewarm mains with chewy chicken, undercooked soft poppadoms, overcooked crispy naan breads, awful pilau rice that was more like couscous than rice, rude staff. Avoid if you possibly can.

Bloke on the phone had an attitude problem and not very polite to customers, food is average ,so i would not bother ordering again.

Waited an hour and a half for a takeaway. When it eventually arrived, it was cold and there was an item missing. I called and was told we would get the missing item sent out to us but it never turned up. Very disappointed and will not be returning

Been using Wilstead Tandoori for 15 years and each time the food has been top knotch with excellent customer service .Wilstead Tandoori is now under new management.Prices have risen but the quality of the food has too we had an exceptional meal and will be going back for more very soon . Okay I'm going to update this review after my last meal from Wlstead Tandoori.Well what can I say you went from excellent to god awful in Three weeks! The last meal I had was actually inedible I struggled with it thinking it must be me but no the wife tried it who is also a chef and couldn't eat it either it tasted overwhelmingly of some kind of Vinegar.The Onion barges had a powderery texture and also did not taste nice.So my new review star rating has dropped to ONE!! Looks like I've got to find another take away for my Indian meals. Yet another update after not visiting for a few months. I thought I would try them again and I'm sad to say there was no improvement, the curry I had was still awful.Come on Wistead Tandoori surely you can do better?

Have always enjoyed the food at the wilstead tandoori however my most recent experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I stopped in and ordered my food and was practically told to go away - the man behind the counter said see you in 20mins. I waited out in my car and went in when I was told it would be ready. No acknowledgement was made that I had even returned to the take away. I stood and waited and waited and waited. Another customer arrived and he too waited - in fact a third customer was served first. The second customer had come to collect an order but there was a mix up and had to re order. By this time I had waited 30 mins for my order .... The second customer who reordered received his order before mine was ready. I eventually received my order after 40mins. When I got home I unpacked and realised that half my order was incorrect - the lamb instead of chicken and plain rice instead of pilau. Terrible service from a once fantastically brilliant take away. If you're looking for good, friendly welcoming service with accurate delivery of order and tasty food DO NOT go here!!!!!!

Así que debería decir algo! Yo nunca le pide de nuevo aquí, a menos que obtenga un nuevo chef. . . si él puede llamarse un chef. . Más que un cocinero pobre. y la comida para llevar deberían tomar nota de lo que los clientes realmente decir! ! Los clientes escribir comentarios por una razón! Así que escuchar lo que dicen! It's the first time I've used this takeaway as I have just moved to the area. The curry a chicken korma congealed whist eating. I will definitely not use this takeaway again.

Yo uso este tome distancia de vez en cuando, esperamos que también mejore, ya que es local y me encanta la India. No hay guau, los platos siempre tienen un montón de salsa y falta un montón de carne. No está mal, pero hay espacio para mejorar, y si no nos estaríamos asiduas.

Ya que esta cerrado, para llevar de la tienda ha sido Wilstead en la única opción. La comida siempre es encantador, pero el servicio era horrible. Esperando de pie a realizar mi pedido, y porque yo era indeciso, en lugar de ayudar a escoger, él me dijo que parar de hablar durante un momento mientras él contestó el teléfono. De aquí, él era grosero y arrogante.

Formulario comido aquí durante unos años, pero desde la última adquisición, antiguo director/propietario, llevamos a la comida es más cara y de ninguna manera como bueno.

I am so lucky to have this takeaway in our area. The porton and taste are fantastic. The best thing now they have their own website www.wilsteadtandoori.com i can order easily via this.

The food I had as a takeaway was not good at all, the worst and not recommended was the king prawn butterfly, why do all Indian restaurants put so much breadcrumbs on it???? all you are tasting is bloody BREADCRUMBS.. and to be honest the rest was not any better. although I have to say they did resend a complete new meal which was a little better, I myself personally would not buy again... but others may think differently

Well I ordered my meal like I usually do from there only to receive undercooked disgusting food. When I phoned them and asked for it to be cooked properly they just said that it would be the same. After a heated argument they agreed to refund part of my money keeping the money for the pilau rice and the naan which were not that bad. They sent the driver to pick up the food who decided that it would be in his best interest to sit outside my house beeping his horn. I gather he expected me to take the curry out to him - no chance. When he finally came to the door I gave him back his curries and he shoved my refund into my hand walking off without so much as a sorry. I sure as hell wont be using them again.

Nice and local, they deliver, food is good quality, hot and fast, what more can you ask for really. Decent varied menu, we'd eat more often if the selection of English food was better.

First takeaway I had was lovely and we boasted about it this was in August 2014. We've had two more since and have been disappointed. One was cold and the second lacked flavour.

When we went to collect they had given our order to someone else, no problem, everyone makes mistakes. We came back 20 mins later and it was waiting for us. Got home (2mins) and the food was cold. Onion bargi , all 4 of them were tiny, mushroom bargi, the mushrooms were not cooked and tasted of nothing. Chicken biriani, rice and chicken over cooked and veg curry (smallest portion ever) just tasted of salt. Overall we will not be going back, which is a shame as we used to go a couple of times a month.

It has recently changed hands but the food is just as food, if not better. Generous portions and a spectacular sag aloo and Tariq dhal. My only criticism is that I ordered a vindaloo but the dish I received was very mild indeed. I can live with that though as the rest of the food was so good
