Where to start as another person said bog standard pub, wanted a nice cold drink as it was warm and my partner who is pregnant wanted a nice cold quality drink of cola but when the the barmaid who never smiled or had manners cracked open a fresh cheap bottle of cola i felt like walking out if indidnt have paid before hand, we sat down with our dog no signs to say no dogs allowed, we sat down 30 seconds after having a drink for her to come across and say no dogs allowed were serving food now, went outside no were to sit think they had 3 tables, partner who is pregnant had to stand luckily not long as we drank it quick and left asap never again.

Called in for a drink recently while visiting Cleethorpes. This is your bog standard seaside boozer, manner free zone...don't expect any smiles, please or thank yous in here.. none of the two barmaids had completed the charm course. Entertainment is good though as the locals seem to use the pub as a short cut to the sea front and walk straight through with out closing the door then the locals complain and close it ! There are some nice pubs in Cleethorpes.,...this isn't one of them.

This pub states it is dog friendly but not the case! We went in today with our little dog to be turned away because they were serving food. The barmaid said we could have drinks if we sat outside in the cold. So Bill Parkinson and Willy's don't promote yourself as dog friendly when clearly you are not!

I used to rate this pub highly, but having returned this year I was very disappointed .The young staff seem half asleep and complacent for most of the time. People were waiting at the bar forever before they were even acknowledged. A fair few customers that were trying to chat to each other, eventually gave up and left after blaring inappropriate garage music was played, blasting in peoples ears so that they couldn't hear themselves think. The choice of ales was very limited too.I for one shall not be returning unfortunately.

Been to Cleethorpes many times but never here so thought we'd try it. Very friendly welcoming service, good selection of drinks at fair prices and very good quality. Only 3 small tables at the front outdoors but loved having a pint and watching the ships go by. So good we went back before we had to leave for the day. Negative to that was that the staff on duty later didn't really compare with our earlier experience. Having had an unpleasant experience previously ( review 24 May) I would now like to review my experience in the light of the response of Willy’s staff. The response was both positive and professional. I was reimbursed immediately without question and I thank the member of staff who was upset for the original error. I have been in recently and everything about Willy’s is brilliant-what an asset to Cleethorpes! There are two sides to every story; I shouldn’t have been overcharged but I shouldn’t have passed judgement before the staff at Willy’s had had chance to rectify their mistake.

Having eaten in Willy’s many times before And throughly enjoyed it, today was not the same!! I ordered the mixed cheese ploughman’s. it came with cheddar, Brie and blue cheese which would have been great it it hadn’t been served with soft cheese bread. I have never known a ploughman’s served with soft bread and no pickle. When I questioned it I was told that this is how they always did it. It certainly wasn’t the last time I had it as I would have never of eaten it. I was promptly told that I couldn’t have a refund and that they would put some ham and more hard cheese on it. The food came out on the same plate with the same bread with a little more cheese and some ham. The damage was done and I ate nothing more so would have cost the pub more money than giving me a refund. The lady’s attitude behind the bar changed so much when I had mentioned my food. Utter disappointment and shocking customer service and satisfaction.

Having just returned home from Willy's tonight, I am moved to write this review as a warning to others. For years I have enjoyed drinking in Willy's; the view, the ambience and the beer. Tonight was no different - a beautiful evening looking out on to the beach, the bar buzzing and the atmosphere convivial. However after having been overcharged last week whilst paying by card, I have checked my account tonight to find exactly the same thing has happened. I ordered a pint and a dry white wine spritzer for which I have been charged £16.14! People at an adjacent table were drinking champagne and I bet they were charged much less than I was. The bar staff don't give receipts if paying by card which means you can't check immediately whether or not you have been charged correctly. If this has happened to me twice in as many weeks how many more people has this happened to? I know Bill Parkinson well and I hope that he would be appalled that his bar staff are ripping off customers like this. Overcharging the last time I was prepared to write it off as a mistake, but twice!? A lovely evening ruined by the apparent dishonesty of some of the bar staff.

Also In the Good Beer Guide this pub is supposed to be a CAMRA pub. However, on producing my CAMRA card I was told "we don't do that". The pint I had was quite acceptable. Popular pub, with predominantly lighter guest ales. The beer brewed on the premises, is usually the superior choice.A bit on the chilly side during the colder months, as the heating, when it's on, is from the ceiling downwards. Did we learn nothing from the Romans?Food usually good, but, chips and other deep fried stuff, would be better used for building houses - it can be that tough! Definitely room for improvement!Good atmosphere, but the decor and seating are a little bit tired and lackluster. All in all - worth a visit.

Willy's has no pretentions to 'gourmet' food but at prices around a fiver you really can't go wrong if your looking for a decent and filling meal. Willy's doesn't seem to operate by the standard pub rule book?? Quite basic decor, not particularly attractive on terms if decor or menu layout BUT it is a great place where the atmosphere changes very much from day to night. Great for lunch or early dinner - I personally would eat later as a gets very busy in bar. Food is lovely and probably best described as home cooked. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Eclectic mix of clients from all ages groups etc. Lively place at night time service, particularly at week ends. Play some great music.

Willy's has the best eclectic clientele - runs the gamut of all ages! Think laid back "ski-bar" ambience. Wonderful place to pop in for a pint and the location across from the beach is great. Food served is made fresh daily on site with locally sourced Lincolnshire ingredients. Thursday nights Curry Club is a must! The range of curries and flavours are as authentic as any local Indian restaurant and generous portions served with basmati rice, naan bread and the seemingly obligatory poppadum! Great atmosphere, great food - highly recommended!

Didn't quite know how to rate Willys. The surroundings are quite basic, some might even say spartan, but warm. The staff were friendly and efficient. The meal was simple but hot and tasty and extremely good value for money.

Was amazed to realise they do food here and at such low prices, a main and a pudding for under a tenner!! all homemade . I've been twice in the past week now thanks to Amy and her amazing cooking, the desserts are to die for had to force myself to finish them as I couldn't bare to leave any . Will definitely be back to try all that they have to offer here

A fantastic little bar on the seafront with views over the river. The pub has its own microbrewery which can be viewed through a large window to the rear of the pub. Meals here are always well made and won't bust the budget. The staff especially of an evening are welcoming and friendly.

We have eaten here a few times, but there is not much going for it really. On the plus side the menu is cheap and cheerful, on the negative side the menu does not change from 1 year to the next, and essentially it is uninspired and "compliments to the microwave oven".

My favourite pub in the area. Great locals, great atmosphere, great bar staff, great music. It's just great OK? Food is very good, especially Thursday night's curry night, big portions of high quality food. The bar stocks a massive selection of real ales, ciders and all sorts of mad spirits. Have a play in Willy's, it won't disappoint

Real ale selection always good here, as is the quality and value of the food offerred , but this place continues to be badly let down by the stark and shabby interior which makes it anything but welcoming. Bare pot tiles, exposed pipework, creaky and noisey furniture, echoey acoustics all combine to make this more reminiscent of an old fashioned gents toilet block than a confortable drinking venue. Its been like this for years....sort it out Willy's! ......oh and the staff are a bit miserable too.

This place has changed over the years, after last year (2023) I wasn't sure if I wanted to come back, but I'm glad it did. Myself and mostly Gluten Free family had lovely carvery. - Good Cleanliness - Decent Atmosphere - Nice Setup - Meat was cooked to perfection. 🤌🏻 There's were however a things that wasn't particularly great... - I was the only person in the line for a carvery and I watched 12 minutes go by. - The roast potatos were VERY crispy. - No more refillable drinks! I got very annoyed standing there, I have a blue badge due to my disability and my lordosis wasn't doing great but I managed. I know people that wouldn't be able to manage that kind of wait which could take away their independence. Admittedly I only had one roast potato, I like to think I pick the ones that look the best and look fluffy. But the texture and taste wasn't great. Could have been a bad pick, bad batch or just a bad day. I have really enjoyed them in the past. For a refillable drink it only cost 15p more than a regular pint of pop. 😬 So I was shocked to find that there is no more refillable.

Chicken and pepperoni pizza was a generous size and had plenty of chips too. Staff friendly, don't remember asked if our meals were OK though. Good overall though.

Sourdough with starter was like a rock, tried to cut, all over the table. Main course fish was average. Main course was lukewarm, cous cous was cold and clumpy, flat bread was like cardboard, salad was fine! Expensive, didn’t complain but would never return or recommend
