visited here for lunch , food was lovely .I had fish and chips(very tasty) the only slight complaint is that the paper underneath the food, started to disintegrate, and I very nearly ate some). We loved the little signs that you can put on your table while you're at the till, Brilliant idea! we then mooched around the Xmas items, and bought some fabulous bits and pieces

A very well stocked garden centre, with very helpful staff who took an interest in our needs, unlike a very large garden centre chain a few miles away. We felt as if our custom was actually wanted and were not just a number. Good quality products, fairly priced with a cafè serving great tea and cake.

We had a wonderful time at Willowbrook for an afternoon tea celebration with 91 family & friends. It was the perfect venue and all our guests had a great time. Many thanks to Jackie for the amazing sandwiches and cakes. There were many compliments about the food and also the special children’s and vegetarian afternoon tea’s. Tracey and the other waitresses were lovely, they all gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. We had a string trio playing which added to the enjoyment. A good time was had by all - would definitely recommend this venue for a group celebration.

This year, Willow Brook has been the STAND OUT garden centre in a 70 mile radius for plants. TOP JOB!!! I love seeing this garden centre flourish, with great products throughout, new lines in artisan food and unusual gifts, but this year in particular, most of my families plants have come from here, right on our doorstep. Better in variety, quality and price. Love that there's a fruit shack on site, too. Now if you can just give me a nudge when your Carolina Sweetheart Tree is reduced, I'll be down like a shot!

I will definitely be returning soon … and trying all the other lovely frappe flavours 😋 The cakes are also amazing!!

This used to be a friendly well priced restaurant. However, over recent months, prices have shot up (presumably to pay for the constant changes the owner keeps making) and service standards have slipped. Today, having paid over £8 for 2 teas and a fruit toast, I asked for an extra small plate and was told they were not allowed to give me one - although they did when I complained! Apparently, they are trying to save on washing up. Same must go for supplying tea cups with no saucers! Have never encountered such problems at any of the many other garden centres in the area.

The gift shop is lovely to walk around but most things are very expensive as are the plants that are in the garden centre. The restaurant is self service and the choice of food is good, but the cake portions are ridiculously big and most would serve more than one person. Sometimes there are smaller dainty cakes on a little table to mix and match but they are popular so there is never a lot of choice and none were offered on Monday morning. The biggest complaint is that when you have a pot of tea they give you a small tea cup without a saucer so there isn’t anywhere to put the teaspoon after you have used it so it goes on the table! The coffee is also served without a saucer. It looks horrible and slovenly. They might as well serve tea straight into a mug!!! When you’re paying to have a nice coffee/tea etc out in a restaurant you expect it to be served nicely, in my opinion cups without saucers is like going to a greasy spoon cafe!

Will not be visiting the restaurant again on principle. Lovely coffee served in a cup but NO saucer. You have to put your dirty spoon direct on the table. Bot nice at all. This Decision presumably based on environmental issue same as M & S I guess. (I have boycotted their cafes for the last 2 years too). Felt like I was in a city back street greasy spoon. What's next? Cake served on a serviette instead of a plate? Also I don't think it's hygienic to serve milk for tea in those tiny jugs which are then placed inside the cup. Who knows where the bottom of the jugs have been stored. Take a trip to The Potting Shed at Singletons to see how it should be done.

I visited the centre in the summer with my elderly mother. We were both wearing face masks...even tho it was not mandatory at that time. My mother wanted to know the price of an item that was not marked up. She passed it to the assistant..at arms length...who promptly made quite a show of stepping back away from my mother who became quite embarrassed. The assistant did not know my mother and I were together and, watching the scene, I became quite annoyed for the way she had treated my mother...I therefore told my mother to forget the purchase and we left feeling like we had done something criminal! However we recently decided that the incident was obviously due to staff working in unprecedented times and visited again to look around the christmas shop. We were very impressed with the display and both chose quite a few items. At the checkout my items were put thro...when I went to pay on my card I had to put on my reading glasses. Due to them steaming up instantly because of my mask...I moved the mask slightly under my nose momentarily so I could see to enter my pin number...with the intention of putting it straight back. The lady on the till quite loudly told me I should wear my mask over my nose for it to be effective...she was quite rude ..not even making eye contact with me. I am well aware of how to wear a mask in public...especially when I'm taking out my elderly mother in these times. I apologised and put my mask back. She didn't say anything. We paid for our goods and left...without even a thank you and..once again..feeling like criminals.I don't normally do these reviews..but seeing other people had complained about staff I thought I should let you know our experience.Considering the prices you charge I think customer service could be vastly improved

We are very regular customers who usually enjoy our experience here with our family. However, we were appalled to discover that there is no provision for men to change a baby. This means that men cannot come to this establishment with young children unless they are willing to change their baby on a dirty toilet floor or let them sit in their own excrement. I think this is quite shocking considering it is 2020. As an aside, the baby change in the women’s disabled toilet has no handle on the tap. So for some disabled people this would mean they would be unable to wash their hands. Very degrading and pretty shocking in the midst of a pandemic.

We had a lovely festive afternoon tea. The food was of high standard as always with lots of indulgent festive treats, the brownie was amazing! This was such good value for money. There was quite a few of us all with babies and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and we was very well looked after. Highly recomend!

The garden centre is cute in size but with a reasonable range of goods both plant related, gifts and at this time of year the Christmas range. When we were there it was clear that there was some organisation/works in progress as there was a space which was closed and some banging noises above us.The cafe is obviously popular as at lunch time there were plenty of people eating. The menu has a fair range of items on it but I found them to be just a tad more than I wished to pay so we just had an Americano coffee. It was hot and full of flavour.

I love the garden centre and visit regularly but the owners need to invest in more staff for the cafe. We arrived at 10am and most of the breakfast food was gone. I'm used to the staff ignoring the customers (it's par for for the course, as are normally having a conversation between themselves, making it difficult to get anyone's attention) but this morning, my husband politely asked if there were any sausages or bacon......a reasonable question when you're queuing for breakfast? The lady serving nearly bit his head off, snapping "I've only got one pair of hands". Yes. And it's not our fault if you're understaffed. The look she gave him would have curdled milk. The owners need to seriously address the staffing problem and possibly some customer service training.

I went for afternoon tea today and it was wonderful. They asked us if we had any dietary requirements and made sure we still had a wonderful choice of sandwiches cakes and scones. We had tea and coffee and the staff offered us extra. The table was set beautifully with tablecloths and bone China. I thoroughly recommended willowbrook if you want a truly delicious afternoon tea

Went here on our first day out with baby, the food wasn’t great, waited ages at the till to be served (there was no one else in the restaurant at the time). Went to order cream tea at 1.56pm to be charged nearly £8, they advertised £5.50 from 2pm onwards- no movement on the price for 4min difference! The food wasn’t great, glasses for the water had lipstick on them and crumbs in the glasses. Safe to say it’s our last visit here- would not recommend!

Had a wonderful meal in the restaurant, the Beef in black bean sauce was gorgeous, my husband had a panini which was very tasty. My only comment is that you could do with more staff during busy times. We sat outside as it was a lovely day.

Dropped by on a whim for a roast in the middle of a day working at home. Roast very tasty with a good choice of vegetables and good value for the price. The proprietors clearly know what works for their customers as this place always seems busy but comfortable and relaxing as part of a little wander around the garden centre.

We really enjoy good, basic coffee, which means filter coffee, not all that fancy continental muck. At this restaurant we had one of the best cups of filter coffee that we have enjoyed in a long time. Not only did we have good coffee, it was served by pleasant, friendly staff in a clean and welcoming restaurant. We had diverted off the M42 to visit this restaurant, and it was well worth the diversion.

Myself and my fiancée popped in after a 4 mile walk for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. They do a great deal of you want cooked breakfast where you can pay £5.99 for 6 items and get a coffee or tea with it. The quality of the items is what makes this a great deal, for example the sausages which are a decent size and very tasty. I had eggs florentine which was nice and reasonably priced.

I came across this garden centre a few weeks ago so suggested my husband & I both go back today to have a drink & something to eat. On entering the restaurant area at about 2.25pm we could see a lot of tables with trays of dirty crocks. I then walked further round the restaurant & of the tables that weren't occupied every single one of them had dirty crocks on which was well over half. No staff members were clearing any tables so we left & probably won't be returning. Terrible first impression!!

We visited Willowbrook Garden Centre on Sunday morning not intending to use the restaurant but the smell got the better of us. We had the cooked buffet style breakfast which consisted of good quality fresh food cooked very well. You can get cheaper but you get what you pay for, it's well worth a visit and we will return. The restaurant also has a small play area which is ideal for keeping the younger diners occupied

We met our daughter here for tea and cake for Mother’s Day. We didn’t book as wasn’t sure if you could and nearly walked out as it was packed. Just as we were going someone left so we got a table. We had tea, coffee and cake and loved it. We had the carrot cake which came with pistachio nuts and wasn’t sure if we liked it or not. The large slice of chocolate cake went down well. We all enjoyed that.

Wow! What a fabulous day. We visited your centre on our way to visiting family. We couldn’t believe the changes since our last visit. We came to choose Mothers day gifts and were spoilt for choice with a fabulous array of plants both inside and out. We chose 2 beautiful Magnolias after speaking to a very helpful guy outside who offered us great advice. We had our plants beautifully wrapped by another lady in the plant section, what a great service you offer. Happy staff and a great atmosphere. We stayed for a bite to eat and really enjoyed our meals. Danielle served us and she was lovely, so polite and helpful. We will definitely be returning soon.

Three of us visited yesterday, very much enjoyed a stroll around the garden centre and then had a really lovely Sunday lunch. The dauphinoise potatoes were superb!! We were served our meat of choice (beef or turkey on this occasion) yorkshire pud and roast potatoes and then helped ourselves to the veg, gravy and sauces. The food had a real home cooked taste. Efficient and friendly service, nice seating area, great value for money, we will certainly be returning.

A group of us visited your centre earlier this week for a catch up. What a fabulous plant area. The colour as you walk through the doors is amazing. There was a gorgeous scent too as we walked around. We were asked if we needed any help by a great guy who gave us advice and was really friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. It’s such a shame the older lady on the till isn’t so friendly, she obviously doesn’t want to be there, quite miserable.

Very disappointed over £5 for 2 coffees fruit bread £2.99 for 1 slice, staff very huffy and puffy and look like they really don’t want to be there and quite depressing. Very expensive.not impressed. Went to buy something in the shop and the young lady on the till very much the same as it wasn’t her job to be on the till! Perhaps it’s monday blues? Or nobody really wants to work today?? On the good side the lady on the fruit hut outside was very friendly and helpful so will take a visit there again but not the cafe.

Cooked breakfast was well priced but some items weren’t great - eggs very rubbery and cold, bacon rock hard. What astounded me was the cost of a small chocolate croissant and a small Americano coffee came to nearly £6. The coffee was more expensive and a lot smaller than Starbucks in the Cube in the centre of Birmingham. Staff are not the old smiling happy people I remember. Plants and Garden goods nothing like they used to be. I always used to go to Willowbrook because it stood out as an excellent plant centre with a nice friendly coffee shop. It’s really changed and now the only reason to go is the Fruit Shack which is excellent.

My wife and I have been using this coffee shop for quite a while, but we visited on Wednesday 5 Dec for breakfast, on arrival we noticed it was a busy time, so we too a reserved sign and found an empty table. A lot of the tables had official reserved signs on but ours did not, we were then pounced on by a member of staff to say the table was reserved by a lady (who was sat at another table) I explained there was no sign to say it was reserved, to which she blamed another member of staff for removing it.... we were not offered another table, and felt humiliated and diappointed in the staffs attitude. We left, and may I add will not return again.

Got to the cafe/restaurant and there were no trays. My dad had a full English breakfast which he said was very nice. I asked what there was for vegetarians as it was 11.30am and they weren’t serving lunch yet. The nice girl said she could do some veg sausages for a vegetarian breakfast (I decided against this as she was splashing bacon juice all over the hash browns and mushrooms). So I ended up with fruit toast (which was cold by the time we got through the till and sat down). The girl on the till looked like she couldn’t be bothered with anything. The girl serving the food, was nice and friendly but her hygiene was a bit to be desired (the bacon juice thing and not covering her mouth when coughing). We went to sit down and there wasn’t a single table that had been emptied and cleaned, they were all covered in dirty crockery (might explain where all the trays were) so we ended up clearing off a table to eat at.
