Well cooked food with some interesting vegetarian meals, which makes a pleasant change. Prices were reasonable and the food was tasty and good value for money.

Excellent cafe, good service and food; sandwiches cake etc. All aspects run by a trust which is developing after the local authority hived it off.

Plenty of space and tables and an outside area (closed on my visit) Lots of simple refreshments and a delightful lady in charge. Everyone amazingly friendly - just that sort of place. Very comfortable and welcoming in a really good art gallery - see separate review

I had already visited this café with my mum after looking round the art gallery so knew that it served lovely food and was situated in a bright and welcoming space. It seemed like an obvious choice to host a small party for family to celebrate my mum’s 90th birthday and that was a great decision. Naomi, who runs the café, was really helpful despite me not giving her much notice. She was keen to make it a memorable occasion right down to using vintage crockery, linen tablecloths and choosing my mum’s favourite music. She accommodated a variety of dietary requirements and was flexible and responsive to our requests. Everyone had a great time and commented on the friendly atmosphere and lovely food – home-made cakes and scones and sandwiches made from locally sourced bread. It was excellent value as well. Highly recommended.

What a fabulous find. Superb wee cafe serving delicious home-made treats. Great teas, coffees and variety of quality soft drinks, Home cooked soups, salads, toasties, sandwiches are prepared and served by Naomi and her team with genuine pride and pleasure. Granddaughter even presented with bottle of balsamic drizzle to take away after commenting on how yummy it was. We'll be back.

Stopped by here to kill sometime. Nice and relaxed and spacious cafe. Nice things on the menu. I had a hot chocolate which was delicious - they also have cakes, salads and sandwiches. Stuff for kids to play with. There’s also a shop with some cool Liverpool themed gifts like mugs and cards etc and of course you can look around the gallery too. Parking is available too.

The cafe seems to do a nice range of salads and sandwiches. Had the tuna and it comes with salad and crisps. Very nice bread and plenty of filling. Hand made cakes which looked so good I had to have one, proper coffee as well,

We called in for a drink and lunch and must go back to see the galleries. We couldnt have lunch as they do not accept credit/debit cards. This is really annoying, we carry very little cash and pay for everything by contactless paynent or card, as i expect most people do. We had enough money between us for coffee and cake only. The victoria sponge cake was not good, the lemon drizzle was good. Iced coffees were good on a hot day.

Called in for coffee and cake after spending time in the art gallery. Was surprised how popular this cafe is with friends meeting up for lunch or just like ourselves having a quick coffee. Reasonable prices and a great menu. Lovely serving staff and the cafe was spotless. The gift shop for the art gallery is in the same room and had some lovely locally handmade gifts. Worth a visit after visiting the gallery.

Visitamos hoy aquí y me decepcionó.

After being engrossed in the many fine works of both artists and students alike it is nice to finish off with a hot drink, or cold and a bite to eat. Not sure if you can pay on card, me and my partner paid by cash. Not expensive or too cheap. Pleasant staff and best carrot cake ever!

I visited this lovely cafe with my husband for the first time on Sunday afternoon. And what a find it turned out to be! We both ordered Afternoon Tea and the bill came to just £7 for the two of us. For that price we both had a round of freshly prepared sandwiches -there is an impressive array of fillings available-served with salad, followed by a choice of home made cake or scone with jam and butter and a cup of tea or coffee.I chose the chocolate cake which was light and delicious and my husband had the cherry scone which was so big it almost filled the side plate it was served on!But it tasted great. The stream of customers who came in while we're there kept the two lady assistants busy but they were efficient and helpful and obviously wanted customers to enjoy their visit.I understand the cafe is a relatively new addition to the Williamson Art Gallery and museum. I hope it gets the support it deserves from visitors .We'll certainly be back as the Afternoon Tea was superb value.

Since trying this cafe a few months ago, have been back a number of times with family a friends - have found it the friendliest of places and lovely to relax in. The food is good and portions substantial. We particularly like the fresh tasting prawn sandwiches. It is there for a really good cause too. Can thoroughly recommend.

Visited this gallery last week with my brother. After admiring the many fine paintings, and listening to a guitar lesson for free, thought it was time for a little sit down. The cafe was value for money. Quiet on the day we went. Large portions of food and not expensive. A hint for tired travellers - choose the curved wooden chairs - they give really good support for the back.

We were in Birkenhead, from North Wales, to buy rugs for our lounge. A hunger inducing task I have to say. We have been here before, pre covid, and enjoyed the fish and chips. It was an oversight on my part that I did not comment on that occasion but I will now. After an inedible experience at a more local establishment near my hometown recently we were somewhat dubious about another fish and chip let down. We needn`t have worried. Beautiful moist ,lightly battered fish NOT swimming in oil. Lovely fluffy chips and my husband, a fryer of forty years standing, was bowled over with his meal. I know it`s only fish and chips, but believe me it can be done badly so often. Superb food( my husband loved his spicy curry sauce) hot ,fresh and tasty. A noisy atmosphere but it was far outweighed by our lovely lunch. Thankyou and keep doing exactly what you`re doing
