Best pub grub I've ever had. Steak pie chips peas, gravy was outstanding. Proper homemade, decent portion size. Excellent table staff, and cook. Also the best pint in the village. Well impressed 👏

I just wanted to share how welcoming, friendly and super the service is at The William IV. We’ve eaten here a few times in the last couple of weeks, and I have to say the food is a very good standard. I personally recommend the pie, as it’s homemade and the gravy is delicious. We’ve have also tried the Sunday lunch. I had the local belly pork. It was absolutely delicious, again topped with the most wonderful gravy. This will definitely be a regular food stop for us now. Thank you for providing such great value food. Many thanks Leanne

Visiting village for first time in many year. Pop in for a pint at lunch time. It was the best pint of draught beer I had had for several years. So many pubs these days seem to forgot or don’t know how to deal with it anymore. Wish I could have had another! Back soon and maybe eat as well. Peter 90 year old x brewery worker.

Popped in here with family and was shouted out over the bar by a rather rude woman. Apparently this is not a family pub you cannot take a 15 year old in after 9:30 which is fine if that's their rules however shouting like a fishwife over the bar is not acceptable, everyone was looking and made us feel really unwelcome. A polite word would have been enough for us to leave. We left and went to a lovely family pub around the corner and was made to feel really welcome so will go there in future.

We had a nice evening, some very gobby locals in, a lot different clientele since the last time i was in there, but we sat as far away from them as was possible, so it didn't spoil the night. Visited Alrewas during a narrow boat holiday. Headed for the Cantonese take-away to find it's closed on Tuesdays. Fell on William IV...what a find. Lovely atmosphere, 70s prog rock playing, great beer and delicious food. Really welcoming pub. Ridiculous prices for the quality of the meals. Best steak (with the trimmings) I've eaten in a long time, all for 13 quid. Special mention for our delightful waitress. Shame we have to move on tomorrow or we'd be back for seconds.

Popped in on a very quiet Tuesday evening with our very well welcomed greyhound. On reading the prices we expected basic pub food but the reality was a quality generous portion of both (my husband's choice) steak & ale pie and my (special) of braised steak. In both instances the steak was melt in the mouth and served with a good helping of freshly made chips and peas. If we lived locally we would return on a regular basis. The service also was faultless. The only piece of advice for those who tend not to carry cash is that, although drinks can be paid for by card, for meals only cash is accepted , luckily for us though a Co-op cash point was a very short walk away!

Totally lacked atmosphere and warmth. There was no background music or even chatter. I could hear a couple in the kitchen discussing a member of staff which was poor and then I’m assuming the poor girl was having a review of her work to date in the cafe with customers all around. The coffee was mediocre and the sandwich was lacking in chicken. Really disappointed and wouldn’t return.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ALL ROUND We had a truly wonderful dining experience at The Bull in Shenstone (WS14 0JR). Visiting with my daughter Jo, grandson Arthur, and my son James, we enjoyed a memorable Sunday meal that exceeded all our expectations. The star of our visit was Amanda, our attentive waitress, whose warm and friendly approach made the evening even more special. Her attention to detail and welcoming smile added such a personal touch to our dining experience. The Sunday roast was simply superb—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable, making us feel valued and well-cared for from start to finish. A huge thank you to the team at The Bull, Shenstone, for an outstanding experience. We look forward to returning soon and highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a great meal with excellent service!
