Lots of lovely cakes to choose from. Strawberry tarts are by far the best! Much nicer than the Harry Gow ones!!!!! Rolls were fresh and my son loved the biscuit person. Aero slice was not the greatest that I have tasted. Worth a visit if in the area.

We were on our way to visit Glenmorangie Distillery. Needing a snack we had a meat pie each and a hot chocolate. Very good and just what we needed. There are a couple of small tables with chairs inside, suited us on a cool early summer day. A couple of attentive ladies behind the counter, one almost managed a smile . We took a loaf of white bread home with us, superb. Will be back, no worries.

Rude staff to busy to busy talking co worker to notice the only customer in shop then gaven food without offer of being warmed then to get home and find out my two tarts were stale. Nothing fresh at 10.30 in the morning bad day for grants. Can still taste stale strawberry tart.

Grants offers everything you would expect from a bakers. A great selection of cakes, pies, pastries and of course the famous pizza. What is not to like. The pizza is on a thick base is always perfect. The staff are always very polite and pleasant and make the already excellent experience that bit better. A+

After a visit to William Grant I wonder why I go to supermarkets for my bakery requirements. There is a great range of loaves, rolls, cakes etc and there is a takeaway option for hot pies, soup and so on. I bought my first scotch pie from Grants in 1970 and the recipe has not changed. Delicious.

Oh my. At 6:00 a.m. the aroma of fresh baking wafted across to the Royal Hotel, where we were staying. We needed early breakfast on the go, and found it in their melt-in-the-mouth croissants and coffee. It's a bakery and shop, not a restaurant; a place to pick up food to take away. And it's the real thing. A traditional Scottish bakery, with a range of pies, breads and regional baked goods.

Great wee place that offers a large selection of pastries, cakes, breads etc. Their pizza slices are particularly amazing. Never found this taste anywhere else. Priced better than the other bakery in town. Also sells newspapers which is very handy. A definite recommendation for anyone looking for takeaway lunch or cakes to take home to the family.

This bakery is a must if in the area or nearby. We used to live locally and since moving away we still manage to make a trip back every so often. The bakery itself is old fashioned and has the only traditional scottish oven in Scotland according to the website. There are a few tables & chairs available for sitting in which we usually do. Our son loves the macaroni pies and jam donuts. My favourites are the butteries which are delicious and coming from an Aberdonian that is high praise indeed. My husband likes the well fired rolls which are the best he has ever tasted. There is such a selection of pies, cakes, breads, scones, sandwiches, etc, that there will be something for all taste buds. There is a variety of sandwiches all made fresh and tasty pizzas too. Spoilt for choice! This bakery is our favourite bakery ever!

We dropped into the bakery to kill some time & were delighted to find they had some quaint little tables to sit-in & watch the world go by outside over hot chocolate & muffins - as well as watch the working inside as fresh breads & pastries were brought down from the bakery to the main shop. Plenty locals stopped in which is always a good sign.

Quieres y hornear!

A busy local bakery. We tried a number of their meat pies and they were all tasty. They offered to heat them but we were planning to eat them later.

A very long-established bakery where the locals shop. A full range of bakery goods are baked on the premises. Busy from early morning as workmen stop in to collect their pies or whatever to take to work -- or to eat there and then. Grants' pies have won national awards and are well worth sampling. Their bacon wraps are, in my view, even better. A few small tables allow customers to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea along with some of the bakery's own products. This is one of those gems which you shouldn't miss. Go as early in the day as possible and watch real community life take place as you enjoy first-class bakery products.Staff are very friendly and seem to enjoy their work. There's a general air of bonhomie about the place. At its best around 7:30am in the morning!

Hi, this is a really good bakery that sells amazing tasty Scots Pies. Delicious they are. They sell really tasty rolls you can use for lunch with cheese and cold meat etc.It opens at 6am so it's perfect if you are driving up North or South on the A9, you simply pull off into Tain and you find it located on the high street. You can sit down inside and eat. It also sells local and national papers.Staff are really friendly and helpful. The only thing is they only accept cash, though there are two cash (ATM) machines next to them. They also sell other tasty savoury and sweet rolls and cakes etc.Well worth a visit and taste.
