William & Florence in Norwich

Went for mother's day lunch and the food was lovely, and even though it was very busy it didn't seem like a very long wait for food. And the service was great. The Carpark is very small though, which can't be helped, so car share if you can.

Wonderful staff and meal. I had an abundance of gorgeous cocktails made by experts. Would really recommend !

Very busy Adnams pub. Roast dinner was good although the beef was a bit tough. Good line up of ales, beers and other drinks. Plenty of staff so service was on top.

Excellent burger, great beer. Quite loud but clearly very popular. The staff were patient and friendly. Nice evening all round.

Hefty serving. It's a bit pricy but compensated by the good service, nice ambience, ample dining space and the food taste good. One downside will just be the parking space around the area. I will definitely spend some time again either by myself or with the company of my good friends.

Absolutely blown away with this find near where my kids have moved to in Norwich. Looked nice from the outside. All cosy, smart and busy. Rang late that evening and they had a table . Wasn't disappointed, roasts were huge and we had 3 of those and the two fish platters. Hubby is still going on about how great his was and my daughter took some home as there was too much for her. Sticky toffee pudding for those who could and this was a large portion with delicious sauce. I wasn't too keen on the plates they were flat and I couldn't scoop up all the sauce!! We will be back

A truly dog friendly gastro pub with happy, friendly, efficient, and attentive staff, and although it's pub grub, the food is a cut above. Full of flavour. Absolutely delicious.

Visited on 21/12/23. Lady with blonde hair very kind and young gentleman who sat us down very polite. Staff maintained good customer service despite rush of people inside the restaurant. Me and my friend sat outside in adequately heated seating area. It was nice to look the at the fireplace stands whilst eating. Food + cocktails was better than expected 10/10. We had lamb shoulder.

Very pleasant place, at which to eat and drink. The managers' are very friendly, helpful and welcoming, no matter 'what ones' spend'..... Enjoyed snacks recently of cheesy hand cut chips and today a delicious of garlic new potatoes..... Served in an efficient, timely manner..... Hope to enjoy a 'Seasonal Roast, soon.....

Food good , a very lively place Good atmosphere , a local meeting pub When I Booked table reservation was given 2 options which is fine. Booked sofa table option , as lady I was with couldn't sit at high table . Fortunately a couple were about to leave there table so allowed us to sit there

My husband ordered an Americano followed by a Cheese Burger which came with chips and a tiny portion of Coleslaw. I had a Flat White followed by Gnocchi with pulled Lamb. The substantial burger which looked amazing was unfortunately pink inside. The chips were salted in layers as they’d been spooned into the bowl and were sparkling all over with salt crystals. The Gnocci sauce and lamb was way too highly seasoned. Less salt and pepper and more flavour such as herbs would have been good. As for the chips - a little salt is good but lower down in the bowl they were inedible ! The Flat White was frothy, milky and cold 😟 We sat for a long time wondering what to do next. No one came to take our plates or offer dessert for what seemed like a very long time but probably wasn’t more than 20 minutes. The meal came to £37 for two basic mains and two coffees. No one asked if we’d enjoyed it ! 😢

The food was to die for. My sea bass in thia sauce with coconut rice was a flavour explosion so many lovely flavours best I've tasted

Can't knock this pub, really. I enjoyed the experience, heating outside and toasty inside, will say I do prefer a selection of ales but that night there was only 2 which I enjoyed one but not the pubs fault. Service was really polite and will serve you with a smile.

I've got to be honest, in the past I have had some questionable meals here (were talking 2+ years ago), however I went back to try the food the other day and it was LOVELY. Really good sized portions with great flavour. Lovely wine too. Staff were very nice and accommodating.

Love this place for its welcoming casual warm atmosphere.... The food has dramatically improved since they now have a new head chef .. The vegan options drew me back... Its becomes so boring when most places only offer burger, curry or chilli Well done W and F

I don't like cauliflower/broccoli cheese should not be served with a roast meal,they did replace it for other vegetables,the beef was good but the knives were blunt it was a struggle to cut even a Yorkshire Pudding,over all very good meal

The rocket salad hadn't been washed, lots of sandy grit in there. Food was good other than that - we ha ld the sharer boards. Staff were OK, not very attentive, had to go up to order even though it wasn't that busy. Nice atmosphere.

Disappointed - really fancied a "Pina Colada" as you do on a lovely summer Fri eve, was not possible so settled for a G & T which was presented perfectly 😀

Amazing breakfast food! They have the classic English fry up for mainstream folks, but Scranny Ben being more unique than normal common folk, loved the Eggs Benedict! Just off unthank road, this is a lovely place for such a big pub restaurant with such a gorgeous outside area.

Very poor service. My wife and I went there for lunch, and we basically waited for 30 minutes while the waitress walked around not attending to us. Then she proceeded to serve a table that came AFTER us, even though we asked whether we could place our order. Absolutely terrible service and we will not be going back or recommending it.

Great cocktails, service and atmosphere!

It was Sunday and so we decided to pop put for breakfast, ended up arriving at 11:32 (They stop serving breakfast at 11:30), I begged, I pleaded, they agreed and thank you to all the staff in the kitchen and bar, we ended up having a truly wonderful brunch. Now lets be honest, the easiest thing they could have said was "I'm sorry but 11:30 is the cut off" and the fact they didn't speaks volumes about their customer service. The vibe and decor is cool hipster without the classic cliche, the staff were all very friendly and very professional. We sat next to one of the windows at the front and I had a great view of Unthank road. As I sat there, I couldn't help thinking "Hmm you should do a timelapse video of the people walking on the road and put it to music, as there were all kinds of people, characters, young and old, the cool and the uncool. Our pots of tea arrived, (Wife had Earl Grey while I had English Breakfast tea aka normal tea), the pots gave a good 3.5 cups of tea, and it was good, the wife had opted for the Vegan breakfast but I am a "Geezer" ;) so had the full English and we were both very pleased with the presentation, quality and taste of our meals. It was busy with a large bridal party in, but service was quick, we weren't hurried to leave, I settled the bill (which was very reasonable ) and added £5 because they deserved it. I asked them to thank the kitchen staff for agreeing to break the rules. And to top it all off there was an Austin Allegro parked just along the road. So to summarise, a very good breakfast in good surroundings with great staff. Would I recommend "Bill & Flo"? damn right I would, just remember to tip the staff.

Just OK this last visit I'm afraid. Wait on the roast dinners. Food underwhelming. Party of 3 all deciding to try somewhere different the next time.

W&F is not what it once was, with it's service standards having slipped dramatically. As a family, we decided to enjoy the sunshine and visit for a mid-afternoon Fathers Day lunch and were left incredibly disappointed. Choosing from a sad and limited menu, food was delivered with eggshell carelessly left in a salad, dry roast beef and potatoes, and raw beef burger. Lovely place for a coffee in the sunshine but nothing more nowadays.

Nice place to visit, probably the busiest bar on the Unthank Road, very female friendly. Average prices and a boring menu. The atmosphere is excellent and the staff are good, they do try to know you. As I live here it's my local, but I wouldn't travel to find it.

I regret to say that the Sunday supper we had was hardly up to the standard of a mediocre pub. Lots of gravy sloshed onto cabbage and a travesty of a Yorkshire pudding. Upside was excellent, speedy service.

I've eaten here before. Good choice of dishes- actually wish I'd had the gnocchi but the belly pork was too delicious! Lovely Adnams beer, huge pudding to share- toffee cake thing- mmmn! Very loud but so good to hear people chatting and laughing and no horrible music banging away. I have hearing aids and struggle to hear what someone is saying with so much musical surround sounds. A really good experience, thank you.

We went on a friend's recommendation. Extremely disappointed. We were allocated a table in the bar area which was noisy and unattractive. The food was mediocre. My sea food chowder was awful. No mussels or salmon in my portion . Tasteless, thin sauce and the potatoes were undercooked. This restaurant needs a major upgrade.

I had the Sunday roast beef which was very fatty and swimming in a pool of gravy. I cut a few bits off for myself but fed the rest of it to my dog, she liked it and would probably have marked it much higher than myself.

I'm usually in some kind of a dilapidated state when I come here and the latest visit was no exception. Desiring a Sunday roast, I was not disappointed, excellent food and beer. I promise to be less battered next time I visit, to enjoy your wonderful board of fare. Than you William, and Florence.

A very nice, golden triangle pub, outside seating is appealing but sometimes feels a bit hustley-bustley so close to the road. Good selection of adnams beers on offer and the staff were pleasant and attentive

Nice ambience, let down by an unpleasant seafood sharing platter and my god do not order a negroni cocktail, in fact don't bother with the cocktails full stop. Saw great reviews for this place, but oh man that seafood platter was terrible.

Visited on the basis of the online menu, which had a vegan main (a burger). On arriving my partner and I were very disappointed to see that it had been removed from the menu with no alternate vegan main in place. We left and went somewhere else. Wasted journey and, on principle, shan't be going here again.

We came for beers and sat at the backyard downstairs Unfortunately, the place was quite filthy, the table was full of poured drinks with lots of ants on top and the backyard was full of bird poo, which it can be a source of infection It was a pity, because otherwise it's a great place I hope the management will take this into account

Based on the reviews, decided to pay the William & Florence a visit: Saturday evening meal. Verdict: it was... ok. The place has pretensions of gastro-pubiness, but neither the service nor the food really hits the mark. Nothing outrageous to report, but it was just ok. Probably a nice local amenity if it's in walking distance for you, but I wouldn't travel for it or book it for a special occasion.

I had just popped in on lunch after trying to remove some stubborn paint from my garage door. I ordered a negroni which, to my pleasant surprise, came with a decorative bug adjourned on an ice cube. The drink tasted like turpentine mixed with butane so I would not advise you consume it, but it done wonders for my garage, completely stripped the paint and a little of the metal too. Top banana

Came for breakfast with my boyfriend for his birthday. Honestly one of the best full English I’ve ever had in Norwich. Fresh and local products, and the prices are great! Great value for money, and the service is spot on with the Friendly staff and fast service. Coffee was delicious 🥰 Will definitely be coming back.✌🏻

I visited the space for hire at the bottom of the pub as part of Pint of Science 2022 and really enjoyed the atmosphere and decor vibe. Staff seemed friendly and I had a lovely Amaretto sour whilst learning about brain development. Seems like a great place for a celebration or a small party.

09/03/2019 We went just for coffee and cake but it was difficult to find a table. Fantastic cake and coffee. Bizarre environment because people are staring at you. The personnel was again a problem. They were looking at us after a reasonable time we were there because there were others waiting making us feel uncomfortable. The unsmilling blonde girl when we paid made us feel really unwelcome

Had a really good evening at William and Florence. We sat outside but we were plenty warm enough with a heater nearby and an optional, fresh blanket on hand. The food was really good but I was most impressed with the service. We were treated very nicely and all staff were attentive and helpful - just the right balance.

Great attention to detail with dietary requirements and excellent cocktails. Smaller inside than I expected but lovely and cosy, and perfect for a meal or cocktail out. Had poached pear with ice cream and it was both delicious and gorgeously presented.

Nice food and drink and good amount of outside space
