I left a 5* review when I last visited and the female manager was amazing. However this evening, I am sad to say that my experience was the complete opposite! Atrocious service in so many ways, from overcharging me, to poor service, including the rudeness of the manager, Joe, who insisted on speaking over me and the surly attitude of his colleague… absolutely appalling… don’t visit!

The pub was beautiful and had a great atmosphere. The staff were lovely and attentive. The food was delicious and theree was plenty. Lots if vegan options available and i will definitely be coming back

Popped in for a beer last night and it was excellent.

This was an ‘okay’ meal. The venue itself is nice, but the food was just average - the coleslaw was quite unpleasant and tasted chemically. The service was the real letdown though - there were several staff, none seemed happy to be there and they were very lack-lustre in checking in with us. In the end we had to go to them to get bill having failed to get anyone’s attention for a significant amount of time. They were all just chatting with each other rather than clearing tables, bringing menus etc.

I love this place! The sharing fish platter is superb. Lovely staff. Never had a bad meal here, always good whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Great service, great vibes, great menus. Stopped on the off chance and were well looked after without a booking. Shared a bottle of wine and a cheese and meat board. Both great value and delicious.

We visited Williams & Florence on a whim looking for a dog friendly establishment. They were very accommodating considering we hadn’t booked and was a Sunday afternoon. The staff were very friendly and the food was very nice and plentiful. The beef roast was enormous. We will definitely return and will recommend. It also has plenty of outside space for when the sun decides to shine.

Unfriendly visit. Portion size of sharing boards very small and not of best quality.. Ordered mixed board for £24 - so not cheap either: a shame as we used to love it here.

Really nice pub. Good food and a nice couple of pints of Adnams stout.

Poor and unfriendly experience. We have been here many years. Popped in today. Had a mixed board. £24. Now the food was of reasonable quality - but the portion? So small. Three bits of cheese, the blue cheese was less the size of a post it note and the thickness was pitifully small. Three pieces of focaccia. A smear of houmous on the board - probably about three table spoons worth? The olives were not great quality - seem to be from brine? Chutneys were really lovely. But not much to put them with. And some sad salad leaves. I'm not one to moan but spoke to a member of staff to feedback that we felt the portion size was small for the amount paid and she nonchalantly said 'I'll get a manager'. Which I didn't want. I even said 'just feeding this back'. We left really quickly. Won't return.

Enjoyed the brunch menu because we managed to order it at 11.55 rather than 12.01. The take on Eggs Benedict was very nice indeed.

Service was really good and efficient. The food however, was really disappointing cornflake chicken tenders were extremely over cooked. Giant couscous was disgusting remaining small plates were ok. Couscous was taken off our bill. Maybe the kitchen were just having a bad day

Portions have been cut down and felt like food and deserts had down graded to catering pack. Disappointed

I organised my friends baby shower and held it at William and Florence - Across the Road and I cannot recommend them enough! The costs were competitive especially being so close to the center and the team were lovely. Our guest and the mum to be praised Abbie and the rest of the team were absolutely fantastic! Thank you to Jessie for helping me organised this event and also special thank you to Abbie! We are beyond happy with this space and if I’m ever looking for a venue space in Norwich, I’ll be back!

Sunday roast, spot on! One of the best we have had! We will be back! Ate at 4pm and still full choice of meny, the couple next to us had burgers and they look equally tasty!

Excellent breakfast. Eight of us sat outside the pub on a large table on a lovely sunny day. We were served by several different members of staff but they were all helpful, polite and efficient. The breakfast itself was excellent. I had the full English breakfast and it was spot on. The black pudding was the star. Far better quality than you get at a lot of places.

Great place Chosen because it was dog friendly. Good food, fab atmosphere. Staff hard working and pleasant.

Only giving 5 stars for service because I can't give 6. Great drinks, great food, great staff. Lovely.

Went for mother's day lunch and the food was lovely, and even though it was very busy it didn't seem like a very long wait for food. And the service was great. The Carpark is very small though, which can't be helped, so car share if you can.

Fantastic pub in a great area with a really good vibe. Great choices of beer. I tried the AdnaMS IPA Ease Up and loved it. The Golden Triangle is definitely the best spot for IPA drinkers.

Wonderful staff and meal. I had an abundance of gorgeous cocktails made by experts. Would really recommend !

Very busy Adnams pub. Roast dinner was good although the beef was a bit tough. Good line up of ales, beers and other drinks. Plenty of staff so service was on top.

My first visit to The W and F yesterday with a friend for lunch.The atmosphere was really nice and the food and service were great.I will definitely recommend to others.

Excellent burger, great beer. Quite loud but clearly very popular. The staff were patient and friendly. Nice evening all round.

Hefty serving. It's a bit pricy but compensated by the good service, nice ambience, ample dining space and the food taste good. One downside will just be the parking space around the area. I will definitely spend some time again either by myself or with the company of my good friends.

Absolutely blown away with this find near where my kids have moved to in Norwich. Looked nice from the outside. All cosy, smart and busy. Rang late that evening and they had a table . Wasn't disappointed, roasts were huge and we had 3 of those and the two fish platters. Hubby is still going on about how great his was and my daughter took some home as there was too much for her. Sticky toffee pudding for those who could and this was a large portion with delicious sauce. I wasn't too keen on the plates they were flat and I couldn't scoop up all the sauce!! We will be back

A truly dog friendly gastro pub with happy, friendly, efficient, and attentive staff, and although it's pub grub, the food is a cut above. Full of flavour. Absolutely delicious.

Absolutely awful. Sat at coffee tap to eat, we had to go to the bar to ask for some drinks twice. One member of staff wouldn’t engage with us, another was far too busy chatting up some guy and the other waitress was amazing. She was literally running the place while her colleagues did nothing. Food took 50 minutes and when it arrived the poached eggs were more hard boiled!! Very disappointing and will not be returning.

Absolutely awful. Booked for 11am, got put on a low coffee table although it had been reserved for ages. Waited 1 hr and 15 for brunch and that was after complaining. Poached eggs were hard boiled. Pancakes were disgusting. One of the waitresses was too busy chatting to a friend at the bar to bother asking if anything wrong. Left to a young girl to handle all the complaints, who was brilliant but rushed off her feet. Quality of food less than poor. Service non existent. Was supposed to be celebrating the birthday of a dear friend who’s no longer with us and it was just an utter disaster. We have been offered all the food and one bottle of Prosecco free!!! Not the point. You need to up your game. Been here loads of times, never experienced it this bad before!!!

Visited on 21/12/23. Lady with blonde hair very kind and young gentleman who sat us down very polite. Staff maintained good customer service despite rush of people inside the restaurant. Me and my friend sat outside in adequately heated seating area. It was nice to look the at the fireplace stands whilst eating. Food + cocktails was better than expected 10/10. We had lamb shoulder.

Very pleasant place, at which to eat and drink. The managers' are very friendly, helpful and welcoming, no matter 'what ones' spend'..... Enjoyed snacks recently of cheesy hand cut chips and today a delicious of garlic new potatoes..... Served in an efficient, timely manner..... Hope to enjoy a 'Seasonal Roast, soon.....

Food was great worth the price, but found the high table quite uncomfortable, had booked and told this was only one available when booked so accepted as cant be helped, so was surprised when others came in after who hadn't booked they were given normal tables chairs, for this reason only won't be returning seemed unfair, also not very warm atomosphere, although young lady with dark hair appeared freindly nice.

Crowded but still looked after well by staff. Too many dogs for my liking.

Food good , a very lively place Good atmosphere , a local meeting pub When I Booked table reservation was given 2 options which is fine. Booked sofa table option , as lady I was with couldn't sit at high table . Fortunately a couple were about to leave there table so allowed us to sit there

My husband ordered an Americano followed by a Cheese Burger which came with chips and a tiny portion of Coleslaw. I had a Flat White followed by Gnocchi with pulled Lamb. The substantial burger which looked amazing was unfortunately pink inside. The chips were salted in layers as they’d been spooned into the bowl and were sparkling all over with salt crystals. The Gnocci sauce and lamb was way too highly seasoned. Less salt and pepper and more flavour such as herbs would have been good. As for the chips - a little salt is good but lower down in the bowl they were inedible ! The Flat White was frothy, milky and cold 😟 We sat for a long time wondering what to do next. No one came to take our plates or offer dessert for what seemed like a very long time but probably wasn’t more than 20 minutes. The meal came to £37 for two basic mains and two coffees. No one asked if we’d enjoyed it ! 😢

The food was to die for. My sea bass in thia sauce with coconut rice was a flavour explosion so many lovely flavours best I've tasted

Can't knock this pub, really. I enjoyed the experience, heating outside and toasty inside, will say I do prefer a selection of ales but that night there was only 2 which I enjoyed one but not the pubs fault. Service was really polite and will serve you with a smile.

I've got to be honest, in the past I have had some questionable meals here (were talking 2+ years ago), however I went back to try the food the other day and it was LOVELY. Really good sized portions with great flavour. Lovely wine too. Staff were very nice and accommodating.

Sat outside and made use of the table top heater. Great place.

Love this place for its welcoming casual warm atmosphere.... The food has dramatically improved since they now have a new head chef .. The vegan options drew me back... Its becomes so boring when most places only offer burger, curry or chilli Well done W and F

I don't like cauliflower/broccoli cheese should not be served with a roast meal,they did replace it for other vegetables,the beef was good but the knives were blunt it was a struggle to cut even a Yorkshire Pudding,over all very good meal

The rocket salad hadn't been washed, lots of sandy grit in there. Food was good other than that - we ha ld the sharer boards. Staff were OK, not very attentive, had to go up to order even though it wasn't that busy. Nice atmosphere.

Not sure what happened here, heard really good things, good reviews and the photos of the food look lovely. Got there and it was empty. I reserved a table with low seating but was given a high seating one after being told everything was reserved.. despite it being empty and 16:30? The menu is small, now I appreciated a small menu but there was not a lot of variation. Smallest menu I’ve ever had. The bread and olives were lovely! I’d recommend those but it’s a shame about the main. I had an aubergine steak stake and it was cold through. The vegetable was so tough I had to use my partners steak knife! There wasn’t a lot of sauce, I ended up just having cold cous cous as a main. My partner asked for rare steak and got well done. I feel like the recipes are good but they need better execution. Such a shame had really high hopes!

Disappointed - really fancied a "Pina Colada" as you do on a lovely summer Fri eve, was not possible so settled for a G & T which was presented perfectly 😀

Amazing breakfast food! They have the classic English fry up for mainstream folks, but Scranny Ben being more unique than normal common folk, loved the Eggs Benedict! Just off unthank road, this is a lovely place for such a big pub restaurant with such a gorgeous outside area.

Very poor service. My wife and I went there for lunch, and we basically waited for 30 minutes while the waitress walked around not attending to us. Then she proceeded to serve a table that came AFTER us, even though we asked whether we could place our order. Absolutely terrible service and we will not be going back or recommending it.

Great cocktails, service and atmosphere!

It was Sunday and so we decided to pop put for breakfast, ended up arriving at 11:32 (They stop serving breakfast at 11:30), I begged, I pleaded, they agreed and thank you to all the staff in the kitchen and bar, we ended up having a truly wonderful brunch. Now lets be honest, the easiest thing they could have said was "I'm sorry but 11:30 is the cut off" and the fact they didn't speaks volumes about their customer service. The vibe and decor is cool hipster without the classic cliche, the staff were all very friendly and very professional. We sat next to one of the windows at the front and I had a great view of Unthank road. As I sat there, I couldn't help thinking "Hmm you should do a timelapse video of the people walking on the road and put it to music, as there were all kinds of people, characters, young and old, the cool and the uncool. Our pots of tea arrived, (Wife had Earl Grey while I had English Breakfast tea aka normal tea), the pots gave a good 3.5 cups of tea, and it was good, the wife had opted for the Vegan breakfast but I am a "Geezer" ;) so had the full English and we were both very pleased with the presentation, quality and taste of our meals. It was busy with a large bridal party in, but service was quick, we weren't hurried to leave, I settled the bill (which was very reasonable ) and added £5 because they deserved it. I asked them to thank the kitchen staff for agreeing to break the rules. And to top it all off there was an Austin Allegro parked just along the road. So to summarise, a very good breakfast in good surroundings with great staff. Would I recommend "Bill & Flo"? damn right I would, just remember to tip the staff.

Just OK this last visit I'm afraid. Wait on the roast dinners. Food underwhelming. Party of 3 all deciding to try somewhere different the next time.

W&F is not what it once was, with it's service standards having slipped dramatically. As a family, we decided to enjoy the sunshine and visit for a mid-afternoon Fathers Day lunch and were left incredibly disappointed. Choosing from a sad and limited menu, food was delivered with eggshell carelessly left in a salad, dry roast beef and potatoes, and raw beef burger. Lovely place for a coffee in the sunshine but nothing more nowadays.

The manager is super rude! Booked a table, there was no record, we got seated though. Ordered sharing board of fondue, this was really bad, not a fondue I’ve ever had before, more like hot cream cheese flavoured soup, there wasn’t even a candle in the bottom. (Not actually needed as there was no actual cheese to keep melted) when highlighting the disappointment of the cheese soup to the manager. It was changed but again really not a fondue! The food was delivered to a different table. The manager was not polite, just rude. Clearly hates her job. Such a shame could be a really nice thing to have a proper fondue somewhere.

Nice place to visit, probably the busiest bar on the Unthank Road, very female friendly. Average prices and a boring menu. The atmosphere is excellent and the staff are good, they do try to know you. As I live here it's my local, but I wouldn't travel to find it.

I regret to say that the Sunday supper we had was hardly up to the standard of a mediocre pub. Lots of gravy sloshed onto cabbage and a travesty of a Yorkshire pudding. Upside was excellent, speedy service.

Sunday lunch for a group of 13 people, good service- attentive and all staff were really great. Food was amazing, all delivered at the same time (most had Sunday roast - which was one of the best I've had), the desserts were incredible too - we had struggled to find somewhere that could accommodate us all but the W&F couldn't have been more helpful. Real buzz to the place, great atmosphere would highly recommend for an informal Sunday lunch. thank you, all our guests commented on how much they enjoyed it.
