Willerby Village Toby Carvery in East Riding of Yorkshire

Siempre me levanto, pero esta noche tuvimos una camarera llamada Judy en nuestra área y ella absolutamente brilló, necesita una mención. Nada demasiado problema e incluso la vimos ayudando a una mamá con 2 hijos, vigilando a uno mientras mamá se fue a cambiar al más joven de los dos, ella es absolutamente natural y es un activo sangriento para su equipo. ¡Bien hecho Judy! ¡Y bien hecho Toby por otro buen té que me sacó de cocinar! X

Came for daughters birthday, the service was fantastic as always Yasmin is great, the food is delicious and everyone was smiley, Yasmin was attentive and funny 😄

This was a very disappointing visit ! Toby is supposed to be the home of the carvery, but we have had much better carveries in other places, and for less money!!! The place is very dirty, table was sticky etc, and there was supposed to be four meats, but they had ran out and only had turkey and a tiny bit of pork left. The chef did not offer to give us anything else ( like a few sausages even) to compensate, plus he gave us the smallest amount of the meat anyway ! The vegetables are minimal and cheap ( carrots, peas and cabbage) , not even any parsnips. The price on a Monday is £10.29, but nowhere near worth it. After this experience i would definately not return. As i said, there are far better places around Hull for a carvery. I think Toby certainly need to up their game. Avoid !!!

Last minute decision to pop in for a carvery lunch, kids choice. Couldn't help but notice how dirty it was on arrival. The glass windows/shelves in the entrance with pots and ornaments in looked like they had never been wiped. I had to sit on the edge of my chair for fear of sitting in the piles of crumbs and stains. Waited 5 minutes for anyone to ask us so ordered drinks at the bar. Went up for a carvery, it looked so dry and messy. But the kids were blissfully unaware and already dishing up veg onto their plates. It actually tasted quite nice so we were pleasantly surprised with that. Kids got a free pudding served with dirty spoons. Bill came to £50 so not the cheapest of lunches. Staff were milling about the place, but we didn't seem to have a member of staff assigned to our table. Unfortunately we will not return here

Had breakfast Sunday and Monday, and had Sunday Carvery. The food was cold all three times. We were booked in for the food. Won't go again.

Lots of flies, cutlery dirty, sticky table plus waited 7 minutes for chef due to a shift change. Food was plentiful and bland at best, beef was chewy and dry, veg didn't taste of anything nor did the veggie gravy. I genuinely wish I'd bought a steak for the meat eater, yorkshire puds and prepped veg. I've been caught with my pants down and had a slap, it cost me £25 for the pleasure. It won't happen again.

So looking forward to the Toby Carvery experience of old, well as a 69yr old I have had a few from different brands, but today I suffered probably the worst.My wife and I made the 50 mile round trip plus bridge tolls looking forward to a nice anniversary meal but was met with cold plates, beef that was more fat and gristle cold veg, only the mash and roasts were warm, only saved by the hot gravy.I left 90% of my meat as it was inedible,The waitress asked if all was OK to which I told her the beef was terrible, she apologised and asked if I would like some more fetching,I declined and told her it was the worst Carvery I had ever had, she offered a chat with the manager to see if I could get a reduction to a no meat carvery, I declined as I wasn’t after a reduction but wanted to let them know how bad it was, looking at other reviews it would seem as I am not alone with this complaint and the manager says they will learn from this and put it right, then you have failed (21/08/2024, table 11, booked for 2 oclock), going to the Ocean Fish Bar in Cleethorpes tomorrow, they never let us down!!!

We went, as a family, to have a carvery. The food was a lot slower being prepared, on this occasion. Various veg and carb dishes not being ready. The meat was a touch on the dry side, but overall it was fine. Thankfully they had Yasmin on duty. A friendly, helpful and overall delightful member of staff that any brewery/chain/pub should be thankful to have under their employ.
