Wildwood Restaurant in Havering

So we went for a birthday meal. About 16 of us, it's a nice looking restaurant. The waitresses are very good. But the food for the price you pay is a bit of a let down my starter and main both arrived burnt. Just thought it would be better.

Date night with hubby for valentine , never been here before. There is no parking at the restaurant but plenty of car parks close by. Our waitress Chloe, was nice & attentive. Couldn’t fault her. We ordered drinks & mozzarella garlic bread to share, this was ok. I ordered ribeye for main & hubby had a burger. My steak was unfortunately like eating an old boot! Which I was unable to eat. My husband’s burger was a burger!! Added bacon (£1.96) Our waitress took my plate to speak to the manager as I hadn’t eaten the food & it was taken off the bill. We used the loo on our way out. They were grubby. We left disappointed & underwhelmed. I’m not sure if we would go back to wildwoods again.

£40 on really tasteless rubbish this restaurant was once a good place to eat but i we found it below average and my grandson said that he only wanted to give it one star

So delicious!! And brilliant service from a very friendly waitress. The steak was so soft and so much flavour!

Had an early 6:30 booking and initially service was prompt. Had the mushroom arancini starter which to me was just like the stuffing balls you get from Iceland. My cheeseburger main was distinctly average, the £13 it cost would have bought you four decent specimens at maccy ds! After the mains plates had been cleared away it took an interminable amount of time for desserts to be offered then an age to be served and we had to track down our waitress to get the bill! As I Said it was a 6:30 booking and we didn’t leave till after 9! Plenty of better alternative options in the vicinity.

Really impressed with how accommodating the staff were. Visited here with a friend as pre-Covid we used to enjoy the peri peri chicken. But it was no longer on the menu, so the waitress spoke to the Manager, and he was so friendly and accommodating and arranged it for us. We will definitely be returning again!

Have eaten here several times over the years and it still remains a great place to eat and socialise with family and friends lovely relaxed atmosphere 👍

A wonderful place to enjoy a girls night out, date night , business lunch or family catch up . Highly recommended

Went here with my family because they offer affordable, delicious food and it's a family-friendly place. Staff members were very accommodating and there was a relaxing atmosphere. We had a really enjoyable evening.

Absolutely superb from start to finish. Staff very friendly and efficient. I had the tomato bruschetta and husband had mushroom arancini for starters and both dishes were gorgeous! For main I had the penne arrabiatta with salad and it was the best arrabiatta sauce ive ever had ( even better then the dishes I had in Naples!) A beautiful spiciness with just the right amount of seasoning. My husband had the peri peri chicken with chips, chicken was succulent and with the right amount of spice. Highly recommend this restaurant and we are looking forward to our next visit.

2 friends visiting for food and catch up. Very clean and safe during covid restrictions. Nice space between customers. Great food and cocktails. Very enjoyable evening.

Has this restaurant closed down? Filthy dirty windows letting no light in or Out & looks completely empty in there? What’s happened to this once was a great clean chain of restaurants!? i can’t add photos of this grim looking building ?

Wildwood pertains to be a high class restaurant offering standard fare which is overpriced, the food lacks imagination that would be acceptable at 2/3 of its menu price. The staff were OK except for the person that treated us who was quite stand offish. Our table was next to a wall which had food stains on it! We have been before and it seemed better on our previous visit, would preferably go to Ask next door next time.

Our first visit to wildwoods couldn't have gone better service was fast, efficient and with an open kitchen was amazing. Everything was very relaxed and enjoyable we'll definitely be coming back. Our server was chloe, she was very helpful when choosing what to order. Dont know if shes a manager but she should be.

Me and my partner came here for our date night, we had amazing service and amazing food, the atmosphere was great and where I was sitting I could see the chefs cooking witch was wonderful to watch our server was chloe she was so friendly and attentive we will definitely be coming back keep up the good work.

This visit was for a family get together and unfortunately we were going to leave the restaurant before ordering, had its next door competitor (ASK Italian) been open. We were greeted and sat by, who I assume was the manager and seated on the sofas next to the door. This table was sticky, pepperoni and other various pieces of food remained under the table as well as on the sofa itself. We complained to the lady and was told "it must have been used this lunch time". Which has got to be the poorest excuse I have heard, it doesn't matter if it was used by different five tables that lunch, it should be clean for the next table to sit on. Even in normal circumstances that is unacceptable. We were moved to the back of the restaurant which wasn't much better. Granted, this table was clean however we still found some cheese (possibly from a pizza) under it. Looking around the restaurant from our table, we saw a few chips under other peoples tables and various bits of food scattered around, some were in the waiting staffs walkway. At this point, we didn't want to stay any longer and called next door to ASK Italian, unfortunately for us, they were closed and we even tried Nandos across the road but they were full. Other than leaving, driving around and trying to find a table for lunch at such short notice we were stuck with this restaurant. The waiting staff didn't wear PPE which isn't shocking after seeing the restaurant. We sat at our second table and thought, the cheek of the manager asking us to be clean at the door by asking us to sanitise our hands, when the state of the restaurant looked like a food bomb had exploded. The service itself was average, the only two waiting staff was the manager and one waitress. After our complaint with the manager, we didn't see her after, our waitress was ok, there was nothing that stood out in terms of friendliness etc. I will give credit where it is due, the food was very good, our starters especially were impressive in terms of presentation and flavour. The one chef, who we saw working deserves some credit, he saved this review from being one star. Overall, yes the food was very good but we couldn't go back to this restaurant with its below standard level of sanitation.

Ordered family meal via Uber. Arrived an hour later (no problem) but all food was cold - so bad that didn’t feel comfortable eating (how long had it been waiting around to get so cold?). Phoned restaurant who blamed Uber and said couldn’t do anything so got in car and returned food to restaurant as wasn’t going to eat any of it. Restaurant claimed Uber would refund but no refund from Uber. Advice = don’t order delivery from this restaurant

The food and waitress was lovely, but we was not impress with the restaurant complying to the covid rules, not once did we see staff sanatize there hands, or santatize tables inbetween customers , we felt that alot of tables were not 1 metre apart, ours certainly was not, when restaurant started to get busier , and i see two other tables move because of this , been to other restaurants and didnt exoerience this at all , not one member of staff wearing masks. So because of this didnt feel safe, shame as food and waitress was lovely, but while this is still going on, i feel we should try keep everyone safe.

Our son took us to this restaurant, it was the first time we had been there and we found it was very much like a harvester. There were a lot of children in the restaurant, which was something we really did not want. It was very busy but we got seated at our table quickly, the staff were friendly, the food was not as good as we expected . My husband ordered the tiger prawns and when the dish got served they definitely were not tiger prawns! The food was ok, we ate everything that we ordered but the drinks were expensive and for a chain restaurant the bill was high.

Had a lovely evening. Food was very good. Good portion sizes. Service very good. Felt that bar area was a little bit tired but still comfortble

very rude waitress throughout meal ,not even asked once for another drink and very grumpy when ever she was bothered to come to our table to collect plates . Had to ask for children’s desserts as not an attempt to ask us if we or they would like any thing else Will not return to the Hornchurch branch again !

It must have taken 30 minutes to get our drinks and roughly the same all evening. Staff very inattentive. We have been here many times before and service was always excellent.Only 2 staff present but restaurant was not busy.Based on this level of service we will not be returning.

Greeting upon entering the bar area and if waiting for friends or table asked if a drink is required.Very clean establishment in the bar area, restaurant and toilet areas. Really impressed.Food orders taken quickly which is good if only out for lunch.Good selection of food and special offers.Food of very wood quality and very enjoyable.Really friendly and helpful staff.

Had a lovely meal at Wildwood and made good use of the Valentines set menu. All 3 courses were lovely and we will be back!

Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals and the service was efficient but none of the waiting staff could force a smile, which would really have helped the ambience.

We had a lovely family lunch on a Sunday. Most of us had pizzas which were great. The waitress was a joy, friendly and professional.

We like boating wildwood when we get a chance as the staff are always so welcoming and helpful!! Drinks are nice , maybe a little over priced unless there is an offer on.. food is nice too

Good menu, food hot and tasty. friendly staff and reasonable bill. A good place to drop into, easy to book using mobile.

The waitress was patient with us as we were busy catching up rather than surveying the menu. It was busy for a Monday but didn't feel intrusively so. The food was fresh and tasty.

Lovely meal with my friend. We had dinner and then moved through to the bar for drinks afterwards. Nice meal and good value.

Arrived early for a friend’s birthday meal so thought we’d get a beer while we wait for the others... very rude bar staff, more interested in speaking to each other than serving customers. Get shown through to the table and again, waitresses are far more interested in how they look and are extremely condescending. Would also be nice if I didn’t have to keep saying ‘ sorry? sorry?’ All the time because the accents are so strong to be almost incoherent and then getting a dirty look because I ask them politely to speak a bit slower ( I’m done with being polite now).

Have been here several rimes before and enjoyed it but went there last night with family for my birthday and was disappointed with food quality, six out of seven didn’t enjoy the food at all, steak was very gristly so only had a few mouthfuls of it and chips were greasy, other three didn’t enjoy their steaks either , staff gave good service but could have smiled, looked so miserable, sorry to say will not be going back again

We found it very difficult to understand our waitress due to her accent, speaking very quietly and being a very noisy restaurant. We also noticed that bits of dirt and grime were falling onto our table and plates from the air conditioning unit above us. When we tried to explain this to our waitress she didn’t understand us and turned up the air conditioning. Very frustrating. Didn’t speak to the manager as she seemed to be dealing with another complaint . The food was very nice but we didn’t all receive our meals together.

Haven't been here in 2019 - made a nice change to my partners preference (Prezzo). I'm bored of Prezzo so it made a change to go somewhere different. Pizza was really nice and so were the starters.

Table of 8. At similar time a large and smaller group also seated. Service was very slow. When order finally taken for drinks starter and main appeared to be efficient. However drinks slow to arrive as were starters. Pleased with food. Main course finally arrived and ordered more drinks. Had finished meal and no drinks had arrived. Therefore cancelled and decided to finish meal there. Disappointing as expected better service at a busy time like Christmas and restaurant did not appear that busy

Went with my family of 10 for a pre-panto meal, food was excellent, service was really good, staff very helpful, would recommend for people to. Only one thing i would say watch the service charge.

Only one choice of steak on the menu this needs upgrading really as well as the choices of beer nothing that I would normally drink, made me not wanna buy anymore drink couldn't wait to eat and get to the local pub.

Unbelievably noisy and could hardly hear what my friends on our table were saying. A group of about 20 very loud and drunk women were allowed to shout and be a nuisance. My spag bol was bland and pretty tasteless but the other members of the group all liked their pizza and other choices. The staff were very pleasant

I have been to wildwood hornchurch several times ... And a few other branches of wildwood ! One of the best visits yet .... Even though busy service was brilliant and food was great!

Food was great and the staff at the Horncurch branch were attentive in making sure that everything was ok. I would recommend that everyone visits Wildwood but especially the Horcnhurch branch as they are very welcoming.

Really helpful and friendly staff but not over the top. Delicious food and a good selection of menus - vegan, gluten free, specials and the main menu.

Enjoyed our meal at wildwood, myself and four other friends, nice atmosphere and the service was adequate. Shall be going back shortly.

Food quality excellent , presented well and cooked well. Recommend the melted Brie as a starter. Like a lot of restaurants the Drink prices are high and where they make their highest margins. But overall a very good experience

Hornchurch Wildwoods always delivers, good food and great service from a group of servers who always seem happy

They are friendly and patient with the grandchildren and knowledgeable regarding the menu. Like to go there as they have Spanish white wine which not many places have.

Good local restaurant with gluten free, vegan, special offer and main good variety menues Immaculately clean with professional friendly staff.

Excellent service, visited with my son we often dine here as its impeccable food and very good value for money. I will be returning soon

My friends and I visited for a birthday celebration. All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed the food, friendliness of staff, tasty flavour some cuisines. We will definitely recommend and will revisit. Thanks peeps.

Don't get me wrong - i love Wildwood and their food and so booked a table for a Tuesday evening. Everything was good on our night but I do feel mislead by the advert that was outside saying 50% off all food Monday and Tuesday. We went on a Tuesday and yet this wasn't appplied to our order. I did a little research at home today and discovered that you have to register on line, get a code and then we could have done this but this was not made clear at any point. If you have an offer and advertise it outside your branch, you really should apply this to all customers who walk through the door as I feel like I have been cheated and have gone from being a loyal customer to a now rather disgruntled one.

The service was good, didn’t have to wait long for the food to come out. And the food was really nice .

Had lunch here with friends, went for the cob salad which was very nice. Waitress was really helpful & efficient. Good value, will definitely return.

Went on Monday night. Hadn’t pre booked, but this wasn’t a problem. Service was good and food was hot and tasted good. Would visit again.

We had a late lunch here the other day with friends. Nice and clean restaurant the staff were friendly and helpful. The cost of drinks a bit high, but apart from that everything ok. They did mess up with the delivery of our food. One of our party had to wait for quite a while. Everyone else was half way through their main meal before the last main course arrived. No apology or anything, very unprofessional.

we are a group of retired nhs ladies who don't just lunch, in fact brunch, lunch or dinner any time will do. excellent food and service as always.

We arrived @ 6.30pm for a 7pm sit down. We had pre dinner cocktails and dinner. Bar staff really accommodating, My daughter has serious berry allergies and they made sure their cocktail utensils were thoroughly clean before making her pornstar martini. Waitress staff excellent very helpful with tweaking the menu and food was served without a long wait. All our meals were delicious! Overall a thoroughly enjoyable meal.

Been here many times and never had a problem. Food looks delicious and tastes even better. Service is normally always quick and the staff are always happy and eager to help. Can get a little slower when busy but that's true in any restaurant. Bonus of 50% off food on Monday and Tuesdays as well which is a great offer.

I went to WIldwoods in Hornchurch yesterday. We were seated straight away and the waiter did not hesitate to ask what drinks we wanted. Our food arrived quickly and the waiter constantly checked that everything was ok. The value for money was great as we used a 50% off coupon. Will be coming back again soon!

Have not been here for a while but was really disappointed, the place looks very tired and needs a refurb. The service was very poor even though we went at 7pm on a Thursday, very few staff.

Went to Wildwood with members of my family after watching the pantomime at nearby Queens Theatre.

I can only say from the moment we sat down the waitresses were attentive, no request was refused. There were 8 of us, some vegetarian and myself gluten free. All of us were catered for. Food was good ( potions slightly small ). Drink flowed. They were happy to separate the bill into two, food and drink, even took the automatic service charge off when asked (we sorted our own tips).

Popped in for a meal with my wife, seated where we requested, friendly staff and lovely food. Always on our list of choices when eating out.

Often call in at wildwoods for a light lunch when out in Hornchurch great choice, good wine, very attentive

Went for lunch on Wednesday with a newborn and a toddler. Popped in to save going back home as had nearby midwife appointment. Waited almost ONE HOUR before we were told there was a long delay. That too only when we asked. We could see another table with young children also upset about the wait.

First time I've been and liked it the food was good and the service was good as well I will go back again

Visited on Valentines evening to a busy restaurant. Staff friendly and restaurant nicely decorated with Wildwood love hearts lol ! Usual menu but with love themed specials for the evening. Service quite prompt given that it was very busy and food serviced timely and presented well. The menu ( including drink) reasonably priced.

Came here today for an early lunch. Service was very good, the food for me was ok nothing special, I have had the same dish elsewhere which tasted far better. I'd rather go elsewhere rather than come back here.

I read another review about there being lots of flies in the restaurant and this was the same when i when there yesterday which was unpleasant. Aside from the flies the food was nice! Wildwood sort out the fly problem!!

Very pleased to download discount voucher for a midweek treat for the family. I recommend the Prawn linguine and the Puzza are a dream. Voucher smashed the bill for food in half. Worth a visit.

Varied menu. Food good but not outstanding - what you’d expect from a chain. Staff were very good and attentive. They were great with our 20 month old granddaughter. Really helped to keep her amused. Children’s menu was good. Thought bill was quite expensive for what we had. Despite that an enjoyable evening.

Not impressed with being overcharged for our orders. Ordered 2 bottles of wines, the first bottle took ages to arrive,...

The food was lovely but it was nothing special and the service was okay. For lunch it was a good restaurant to go to but I wouldn't choose this for an evening event

Big and popular it may be but the food left a lot to be desired. Great staff very helpful and pleasant, service was very good, the pizza gigantic is just that.

I like this place, you can have a drink beforehand in the bar. The food was good although it did work out a little expensive.

We went to Wildwood on 2th of September and the food was nice and the service perfect. I think this restaurant is the best in Hornchurch.

I wish there was a no star option! I have been to this restaurant three times prior to todays visit, it used to be nice... its dreadful now!Firstly the staff all bar one lady were super miserable!The chairs were stained and rotten menus were filthy with food stuck on, my glass was disgusting sent back twice in the end settled for a straw!The food was poor, tasteless and just all round badly done!It literally was the worst family outing ever!Id def give this place a miss, I do not know whats gone wrong here because it used to be nice, but its a no from me dear, the whole family were disappointed and still hungry!

We always choose Wildwood -Hornchurch if we go out with friends for dinner specially on Friday nights as it is not as busy compared to Saturday nights.The ambience is great .I love the round table near the stone oven .This time we sat in the other section near a window overlooking Hornchurch town centre. The food is very delicious and the service is always good.

Went for a date night and really enjoyed it! Thought portions of olives were tiny and not worth the £3.25 being charged since there was about 6 olives in the bowl.However when the starters and mains came up they were delicious and portions were very generous. The Brie starter was amazing! And the seabass was really well cooked with crispy skin which I love. My partner had the boat and chorizo burger which was a bit fatty but overall nice.Will definitely go again! Waitress was a bit miserable but hopefully just a one off!

the restaurant has 2 different nice terrasses. The food is ok, but not excellent. The pizzas are made in a wood oven

Visited on 3 June 17.Went straight in for main course of piri piri chicken and sea bass.My wife enjoyed her sea bass, it looked loverly.My chicken was great and they do the best chips ive had, but lose the rosemary as it overpowers the chips.
