Wildwood in Surrey Heath

Absolutely first class service at Wildwood, Camberley. Our server, a young man, could not do enough for us. The food came out very quickly and was absolutely delicious! Bonus points for adding as much parmesan as I wanted! The tiramisu is to die for! 100% very happy with my experience here. Prices were reasonable too.

We tried Wildwood as an alternative to a very close Pizza restaurant that we eat at all the time, as we wanted to change it up a bit. Prices were reasonable, portions were huge and quality was good. So can’t complain; for a family restaurant, it’s exactly what you need.

We've booked in our daughter's 16th bday diner on Sat 9th of March with arrival between 4-4:30pm. Part of the group (teenagers under 16) arrived on time and part was late due to a heavy traffic. At arrival we've been "welcomed" by the guy clearly upset making comments about our lateness. He then said that he's got big party booked in later in the evening and we can only stay until 6pm. This was never mentioned when i was booking this in so clearly he just wanted to get rid off us before the dinner even started. In addition, when I was making the reservation weeks prior I've been offered by a nice lady that kids can chose on the day either from main menu or party menu. When I've asked the guy to use party menu he angrily said that he doesn't have it and we simply can't use it. Also, they can't prepare 3 course dinner as they are fully booked and chef won't be able to cook and serve within an hour- the time frame he gave us that we can stay up for. I've comment on him being rude and very unpleasant and I feel like we shouldn't even be staying at all, he said that we are more then welcome to leave. When I've approched kids at the table, they've all said that he was really rude to them too, rushing the order and making them feel really uncomfortable. We've all decided to leave. On they way out we've met a waiter bringing a drinks to our table. When I've said that we are leaving and explained what has just happen he apologised and undertood the reason. You can only imagine how frustrated I was having everything booked in for such a special occasion and having this ruined and spoiled in such a horrible way!! This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced! Unfortunately I didn't catch his name so I've returned few hours later to get his details for an official complaint. He started making the names up. I've told him that he's ruined my daughters 16th birthday dinner and he reacted by calling me "you are an idiot just get out"! Thsi all has been witnessed by other employees. I can't even describe how awfully ofending this was! This person should never work in hospitality industry creating really bad name for the work place he represents!! He not only has offended myslef but also kids under age when they were not supervised by any adult. This is absoluty unacceptable and disgusting!! The worst nightmare ever!!! What a disgrace!!!!

Myself and three children had travelled two hours to meet up with friends we chose here as online it was showing that it had a playroom for kids to play in whilst waiting for their food. we thought this would be amazing to keep them busy and happy, after driving two hours and arriving we walked in and could see the lights were off in the back playroom and I asked the lady who worked there if it was open and she said it has been shut SINCE COVID. It's literally just being used for storing some chairs etc. Obviously this is super disappointing when we had told the children all week about having a play area in the restaurant and being able to play with their friends while waiting, as parents we were excited to be able to chat and enjoy a meal here while the kids would be happy. Wildwood is massively missing a trick as I know soo many parents that would spend a fortune eating out with kids and a play area would of been great to keep them busy PLEASE change this information online as there is NO play room for now Food was fine and waitress was lovely.

An outdoor outing cancelled due to weather, so impromptu lunch and cinema in Camberley. First visit to Wildwood and weren’t disappointed. Both stumped for pasta, vegetarian and bolognese. Both delicious. Big shoutout for our waiter, apparently only 2 weeks into the job, but very efficient and personable. Will certainly be back when in Camberley.

Great food, really good, Ribs are very tasty and not over-dried. Pizza is very good, however bases burned little bit too much.. but still tasty..

Had a good meal and the food was great, the problem came from a large table of people that were constantly walking around the restaurant some making phonecalls right by our table and kids running and banging about, also smoking right outside the entrance door so non smokers have no choice but to walk through the smoke to get in or out the restaurant. Just ruined the atmosphere for other customers in the restaurant. I will continue to use wildwood as we usually have good meals without drama, just typical it happened on a special occasion.

First time here and had a lovely meal I had a ribeye steak which was cooked just to my liking.been to higher end restaurants who charged a lot more for inferior cut of beef.service was good although it wasn’t busy so can’t say what it would be like then.but we had a great time and will come again.

We were a group of 8 went out for dinner the first thing I saw that the restaurant was quite empty which meant the ambiance was sorely lacking it was like having a meal in a canteen, the orders were taken I would not say it was very not very quick ,the food was average at best

First time been there.recomended by a good friend that has been there loads of times. I was absolutely shocked by the service I received today with my friends. I would never go there again. Supervisor or the manager was very rude to us. I said my burger was burn and she said no it cooked. I understand you had a larger table to deal with. But avoid this place. Food and service was not to pleasant at all.

Ordered a takeaway - food was disgusting, just cold and not well cooked. Was that bad that i had to get them to pick up the order. First and last time

Lovely spacious restaurant, attentive staff and the best seafood linguine & tiramisu I've had in a long time! The bathrooms are beautifully decorated and super clean a lovely experience all round! Thanks Victoria & the team for a great evening!

Had a lovely breakfast here - we had the full breakfast which was really tasty and presented nicely. It was a reasonable price as well. It was very empty when we were there hence the lower atmosphere score but im sure its very different in an evening

We both had delicious thin crust pizzas. I'm not normally a pizza fan as I find them heavy and stodgy but Wildwood Camberley's pizzas were really excellent. Although quiet - early Wednesday evening - the ambience still felt good and we had excellent service too. Thanks!

I must say that the service was good, waitress was attentative and very polite. I ordered steak, medium and when it came it was inbetween blue and rare. The waitress offered to get it cooked some more but cooking steaks twice isn't really the best. They gave me cheesecake as a sorry for the steak so that was a bonus.

Worst customer service, wasn't shown table then wen wanted to make order dark red shirt said he on the phone then he spoke for about 15 minutes ignored when I called the restaurant n then put it on silent few times then the woman finally came and I said margarita pizza n courgette then 1 glass wine she said 2 courgettes pizza .. I corrected her 1 courgette then she brings margarita drink... on purpose or u hired waitress without listening skills n attention to detail?? Instead of apologising defending herself and don't need this drink as complementary.. if was alone i wud of just walked out wifout paying then took ages for the glasses guy to get up while he's having a chat with one customer sitting down relaxing he doesn't understand even he saw me had to lift hand up for the sloth to get up what kind of place is this anyway?? Red guy saying he on fone with boss then wat kind of boss let's his workers stand n just talk on the phone ??while chef rang bell that pizza is ready.... was cold even chef did great job he was only decent one there when glasses came I said margarita the pizza not drink and he laughed saying oh was this drink which was still left on the table even I said I don't drink alcohol a mistake I said yes instead apologising he defending her m didnt bring bill had to ask red one n they have nerve to offer me full bill???? Never coming back ruined whole mood .. wanted to have a nice time but ur 3 waiters can't do their job properly.

I had maple bacon pancake stack. Chef doesn't understand the meaning of stack. The waitress looked absolutely fed up and sad. My daughter had crushed avocado on very dry toasted sourdough. Not a hint of butter. Looked like there was a manager sweeping around. Even though the place was empty.

Breakfast at this restaurant was really disappointing.We were the only people in the restaurant. Ordered the fluffy pancake stack. Ordered with fruit compote. It arrived with bacon even after the waiter had checked twice which ones I was ordering. Other breakfast arrived without the hash browns. Replacement pancake stack arrived cold. Nothing fluffy about the pancakes they were hard and cold. Very disappointing.The worst breakfast.

My partner and I visited the Camberley branch of Wildwood for our anniversary meal. We were indecisive about what type of food we wanted, but Wildwood’s expansive menu catered to both our preferences. The food was delicious, and the generous portion sizes were perfect for our hunger. The staff worked hard to make us feel welcome and ensured that we received good value for our money. I would highly recommend Wildwood to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

My daughter and myself went for a spot of lunch. We had lovely 2 course Meal the food was excellent and my daughter finished up with a tirumisu which was delicious. Will be back!!

The service from start to end was excellent, with the waiters and waitresses being very kind and quick to meet our demand. In terms of the food, it was delivered to our table relatively quickly and was presented very nicely. The taste was excellent. I would definitely recommend the tiger garlic prawns starter, the duck confit main and the sticky toffee pudding dessert. There is a nice variety for everyone, with there being vegan and non gluten options. The price is good for the quality of what you get. The atmosphere was very pleasant and our view of the kitchen from our seat was ascetically pleasing. Overall, this was a very nice place to eat and I would definitely recommend going here.

Always great food and in no time at all

We tried this on the off chance as we had never been before, and we will definitely be back. Pasta and pizzas are all available in a gluten-free option. The food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The service was quick, considering it was busy.

We feel this place is incredibly over priced. I ordered prosciutto cotto . No salad literally just peppers tomato's and cucumber - this was almost £14 - website prices show as £11.95 - portions were tiny - more of a starter size. I would of been better off ordering a kids meal. Kids dessert never delivered. £4.35 for the smallest side of fries. Wont be returning.. very overpriced.

We had a great breakfast here. The range on offer was good, the flavours of what we picked were really good, the cleanliness of the restaurant good and we would all happily return. I'd like to thank our waitress, who may not be the most outgoing person in the world, but she proved that you can give good service even if you're not always chatty. And finally, because I often do, something that makes me smile. This is not about the place I'm reviewing! Why do French people eat small breakfasts? One egg is an oeuf How I Mark I may mark differently to some other reviewers, some might see this as harsh, others may see it as fair. But here's how I look at it: 5 star - WOW. I want to go back and look forward to doing so. They delivered everything expected and more. The 'more; is normally about the service or attitude of the staff. 4 star - GOOD. They delivered everything I wanted and a bit more. I recommend them and would go back. 3 star - OK. They delivered what I expected, I would go back if I needed to, although don't currently plan on doing so. 2 star - Not very good. I didn't get what I expected and the service wasn't good. I don't recommend this place. I might get dragged back here, although will always try to avoid it 1 star - This was rubbish. Don't go there, I certainly won't go there again. I didn't get what I wanted, the people were unhelpful and I didn't enjoy it in any way.

We walked into Camberley to eat out, and saw this place as we walked by. The eatery we had been sent to was full, noisy and didn't appeal for a quiet evening out. We returned to Wildwood and went in on spec. It was early but already a busy Friday night, and they squeezed us in on a table for two. It is a very large, open space but the acoustics are good and despite it being full the background noise and echoes were minimal. To be short, this was the BEST restaurant night out we have enjoyed for quite a long time. The food was exceptionally fresh (M/R steak and a HUGE pizza). A bottle of very nice Italian wine went down well. The staff were very helpful and attentive, working around the tables across the large floor area and keeping things moving as customers went and were replaced. This place is a "keeper" and is highly recommended. Rare from me......

Service very Slow took 50mins to get food after ordering

A spur of the moment decision to eat out - all staff were efficient and friendly - each course was delicious, generous and well cooked - a good meal.

Criminally underrated! For starters the inside is beautifully decorated and well spaced out, lovely clean toilets too. The two staff members on shift were very friendly and the overall mood was positive. Great menu options and well priced too! The portions were very big and worth the money, service was quick and easy. Definitely worth coming here, waitress with the pink and blue hair was lovely :) pictures were taken halfway through eating, food was so good i forgot to grab the pics before.

We went here for breakfast but they had no hollandaise sauce to go with the eggs florentine so asked if I could have avocado instead so it wouldn’t be so dry, the chef told the waitress he wasn’t prepared to do that. Pure laziness and goes to shown it’s all pre-made packed food if he can’t even make hollandaise! The breakfast menu was 6 items to which 3 required hollandaise sauce so good luck with that. He should quit and go get. Job In Mcdonalds! We won’t be giving it a second try, always dead in there to be fair won’t be long until it’s shut down.

Great food and service - Very friendly, attentive and fast. The food was reasonably priced too! I'm not sure why this place isn't busier. We went on a Saturday night and we were some of the only few in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Went out for lunch here with my partner and we had the 3 course lunch. Was about 15-20 other customers but it was a quiet, chilled experience. Will be going back, and the cheesecake is surprisingly good even though its vegan! All I would say is that lemon and garlic dip is the best for calamari in my opinion but I think they only serve it with a peri peri one.

Such a great find! Staff are really friendly and polite. This has got to be one of the best pizza's I have had in a long time. Unfortunately we are not from the area but I would definitely go again when we visit. Found out we have a local one and I really hope it is as good as this Wildwood.

We usually go here for lunch whilst shopping in Camberley. But food is getting a bit blan lately. Needs a few more dishes added to the menu.

2nd visit here, thought we would try it again, more out of convenience as we were in the area - still remains distinctly average. Decent menu simply doesn't translate into decent tasting food. Pizza's lack taste, tomato sauce base slightly over powers. Service here is hit / miss on both visits. We wont be back.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout. However the food was average at best, the chicken burger was extremely dry and the sweet potato fries were way to over done. The pizza was alright, but not what you would expect for the price you pay.

Had the ribeye steak which was the worst steak I have ever had at a restaurant

We went for lunch mid week and had the set lunch menu, £11.95 for 2 courses. It is great value as prices rise elsewhere. Limited options but something we both wanted. The staff were really welcoming and accommodating to our asks.

Food is ok, not remarkable. It didn't seem busy but the waiting staff looked flustered. Service was really slow. We would have had a dessert, but feared how long it would take to arrive.

Service was good but food portions were third world small. Had a main meal of steak served on a small plate with f/fries, they could learn a lot from Harvester and TGIF restaurants where portions are proportionate to the price charged.

Myself and my partner had been meaning to visit wildwood for a long time as we both love pizza, so we were really looking forward to our meal. Staff seemed very attentive and polite. It swiftly went downhill unfortunately. When asking for a cocktail it took over 20 minutes to get the drink and had to ask 2 more times to check if the drink was coming. We were then served a meat pizza, when we ordered a vegetarian one as we are vegetarian. I did actually eat some of the meat as I thought it was aubergine. I haven't eaten meat for years. We then shared the other pizza we ordered as we couldn't be bothered to wait for another to be cooked as the service seemed to take a while. Yes the staff apologized, but I think a gesture of good will would of gone a long way. The only thing taken off the bill was the optional service! Really not the experience we expected. I gave 2 stars as the pizza we did eat was very tasty.

4 of us in our group and we all chose something different and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Chicken Burger, Pizza and Pasta dishes all superb. Beautifully presented and delicious. Our server was attentive and polite and we all felt very welcome. First time here for me but will most definitely return again soon.

First time visit to Wildwood definitely going back great food great service

I went to this place on 13 Jan 23 along with my friends and family, all together 11 of us. It was a nice place and the guy who served us was very polite. However, I was let down by the quality of foods overall. I orederd medium rare steak however it was too rare for me. I mentioned this to the waiter and he took it back to cook it again, however some part of the steak was still too rare for me and I just left it there on the plate. Plus the Calamari was also over fried and chewie! Hope they will take note of this comment.

Service a bit slow and was very cold in there ate with our coats on!

The sticky toffee pudding is to die for! The Lasagne was tasty, cooked in a flame oven on view centre back of the restaurant. I will definitely eat here again.

Good fresh food, but the service was slow

Sunday roast was cold, covered in a thick gravy and vegetables undercooked. My sister sent them back. The poor waitress was very apologetic, and helped sort. One of the starters were cold and greasy too. They had a large party in and it was very noisy. I won't be going back in a hurry.

Called in for breakfast at 11.50am as sign stated serving breakfast until midday. Was told breakfast service was over. We pointed out that the sign stated otherwise. Staff were unfriendly, surly, and clearly not interested in accommodating us. I'm not surprised it was so empty when so many other restaurants in the area are buzzing. No customer service at all.

Visited several times whilst in Camberley for a few weeks. Good food from a fairly standard menu for a pizza/pasta/grill type place. One or two more unusual choices though. Good VFM and friendly staff

Stunning little restaurant. An extensive menu made with quality produce. The staff were all welcoming and extremely polite. I can't recommend a meal as every visit hasn't failed to impress. Yes I will be visiting again and again and again. Thank you Wildwood and thank you staff.

I ordered a risotto which was a bit to oily for my taste, but everything else was lovely.

Really nice place, good food and good service but they add the service charge on before you pay. I personally would rather add this on myself rather than have an awkward exchange if you didn't want to pay it.

Food could be better ..very bland and mediocre ...i had salmon and my husband ordered ribs...he actually commented that my ribs I make at home where far better than the ribs he got. Perhaps next time the chef need to season and marinate them longer and let them slow cook so they fall off the bone coz they where a bit chewy and tasted porky.. apart from that the atmosphere and service was great..and the waiter who served us really friendly.

Great alternative to the other chains great food service and value for money

We booked a table for 6:15. This place really use to be a family restaurant. My two young duaghters were excited. Upon arrival everything was good we were shown to our table and provided with menus including childrens menus. When the waiter came, we asked if there were crayons to colour in the kids activity sheets. He explained that he was very busy and he had many tables to serve but he would check. Frankly in a dissmissive way. Nevertheless we ordered our drinks. I then went to ask at the bar if they had any crayons they had run out. Fair enough these things happen. I nipped into a local bookmakers to get some pens. We then waited nearly 20 minutes for our drinks. I gave in the end as we noticed multiplle customers being apologised to for delays. I really used to like this place but don't want to return. Frankly when your paying £6.60 for a beer 15-20mins seems rude. I really used to like this place, what a shame.

For anyone on a date day budget or friend eating out budget, allergens etc Wildwood is your place to go. For 3 people and 1 drink plus 10% service charge it cost only £50 which before you roll your eyes is for 2 x 3 course meals and 1x 2 course meal. The lunch menu for 3 courses is £14.80-£14.90 and the first drink is only £2.50. Myself and one other at the table had allergies to dairy and nuts which was very carefully and lovingly taken care of by the servers and kitchen staff. It is to say the least one of the best places to go for a fancy, intimate, inexpensive date/friend outing. *Picture is missing the margarita pizza (my friend ate it to fast to grab a pic for you all) Wildwood I'd like to thankyou personally for making our trip memorable and a breeze whilst within your walls, it will now be a staple for us to visit your restaurant.

After a good day at the UKDFBA southern qualifier at Camberley Theatre we came here to eat. Staff were brilliant, service was fast, the food was lovely. Really enjoyed it, thank you.

Starter good, Mains were mediocre for the price

Had dinner with my family. Wife's and daughters meals were ok, they had the roasted salmon and the spaghetti Bolognese,I had the steak which was horrible. First of all didn't seem to be a 10 oz size, second it wasn't medium rare like I've asked to be cooked, thirdly it was very tough and not rested at all,also looked and tasted like it was frozen before. Also the fries, which were obviously frozen bought in, seems like they were cooked in really dark, overused oil. Mentioned about the steak to the server,but I didn't wanted to wait around for another one, I was really hungry, to avoid more disappointment. I will say that I work in the industry,so I know very well my steaks!! Disappointed,not coming back.

Ordered a margherita pizza from here as I am a vegetarian and was suprised to discover lots of pieces of ham/bacon on the pizza hidden under the cheese! When I called up I was told the pizza is prepared separately from meat so he’s not sure how I could find ham on there?!!! Luckily I don’t eat ham by choice and not religion else this would be even more distressing!

Really nice place for our family birthday get together, with friendly staff who showed us to our table. Menu's laid out for each of us so no waiting, drinks were fresh and the food Hot. Lovely service from the staff, Superb atmosphere making it a pleasant evening. Its worth a visit so enjoy.

Food is good but service can be slow

It wasn't a good experience with this place. The manager said that they don't like baby buggies at the restaurant at first. Then we were served grilled chicken which was VERY salty and seafood risotto which was INCREDIBLY spicy, not even possible to eat or feel the seafood taste. We also had a pizza margarita for starter, this one was tasty. Definitely our last time at this place.

I have been here a couple of times now and I love it here. The decor is so gorgeous, the staff are lovely and the food is so nice. They even have a nice selection of cocktails, both alcoholic and non which is a bonus!

Good food, absolutely appalling service. Decided to take the family out for dinner, and the menu here looked good, and to be fair, the food was great. The service on the other hand, we'll, let's talk about that. We ordered our dinner starter and drinks, which all came fairly promptly, so off to a good start, prior to our starters arriving we ordered our mains. Well, after the starter, that's the last we saw of our server, I ended up having to ask one of the managers as he was walking past if we could get more drinks. Then ourains arrived, so ok, maybe it was a one off, but wait they forgot my youngest daughters drink. So asked for that, again, finally got it, and ate dinner. By this time the mood was turning so we waited for someone to come clear up after we'd eaten so I could ask for the bill. That took 20 minutes after we were done, I then waited another 20 minutes, during which time the rest of my family left the restaurant as the kids were getting bored amd restless, all this as our server served and billed several table around ours. I then had enough and walked to the front of the restaurant and asked another server if I could pay, only to be told, "you have to ask for the bill", whichbi blooming had, so I calmlybstated I had, 20 minutes ago, she was very apologetic and offered to remove the service charge, I declined as the food was ok, and to be honest I didn't fancy waiting any longer for another bill. So in total nearly an hour waiting for the bill. Won't be going back any time soon.

Waited over 25 mind for 2 dishes

What a cracking restaurant! Absolutely brilliant food with very professional friendly service. We have been there many tines since they’ve opened and have not once been disappointed. Food is always very good with great size portions. Pizza’s and pasta’s are so good! 10/10 Highly Recommend!
