Miller and Carter Bagshot in Surrey Heath

Had a lovely afternoon here with our kids and parents. The food was great as always but today was made extra special by our lovely server Ruth. She was incredibly helpful with advice on the menu and very patient in explaining the menu to our more elderly diners. This kind of service is rare but really makes the difference.

Amazing service and food as always! Restaurant as a whole was clean with a great atmosphere! Ruth was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Perfect meal out :)

Really excellent, food and service. Met with a smile at reception desk and Ruth, our steak expert (waiter) couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful. Will definitely come again. Good value and caters well for all ages . Almost too many options for our Sunday lunch. Appreciated not automatically adding a service charge to the bill but we were very willing to add. Great food and great service from Caitlin. It’s expensive, especially since my kids have to order adults portions because kids portions are aimed at very young kids. But the quality is very good and there is no better sauce out there than the Beef Dripping!

So went with best friend for a Birthday meal. First of friendly welcome, ( table booked for 6pm, went in slightly early ), waitress who took order very nice (Ruth). Had the Hot Honey Chicken Wings, cooke nice but dry with no sauce and was expecting a kick, Sticky Chipotle Chicken, they were bit size with a Chillie jam accompaniment, if wasn't for that would've been bland. Main Fillet Steak, Rare/Medium, knife should have gone thru like butter but bit tough, Sirloin Steak, Rare/Medium, was chewy bit gristle in it. Waitress offered get another but said no, However then realised the fat ( on edge ) had not been rendered down so not edible. ( I cook better than that ) Dessert's Banoffee Pie had fresh banana on side, no taste , so needed the fresh banana base nice . Double Belgian Chocolate Brownie, tasty and rich. Then 1 Coke, 1 Pepsie from pump, 1 Pina Colada and a Virgin Mojito all came to £138.85. Food was average, Price well over the top, have had better at Harvester . Couldn't recommend

Wow, I cannot express how impressed my family and I are with Miller & Carter! The steak & wine was superb, and the service was so lovely. Ruth, who was our “steak expert” of the evening was just so lovely. Her steak recommendations were faultless and as a result we had a lovely meal! Thank you Ruth and Miller and Carter for a lovely experience.

Riannon served us this evening. She was very friendly, polite and knowledgeable on steaks. Riannon explained the cuts of steak which was very informative. Charlotte then shadowed Riannon half way through our meal. Charlotte was also very friendly and polite.

Very happy with overall service. Riannon was pleasant, helpful and most importantly food ordered was delivered quickly and accurately. Minor disappointment with all 3 steaks ordered, which were underdone but everything else was perfect. We were sat next to an extractor fan which was quite noisy (!) hence one star knocked off for atmosphere.

Went for a meal on the August bank holiday. The service was excellent as was the food. The restaurant was not busy so there was very little atmosphere. However throughly enjoyed the BBQ ribs.

Had a wonderful meal with my family tonight to celebrate my sons 18th birthday, hats off to Ruth for exceptional hospitality she is a credit to the business especially when some of the younger staff members got things wrong. The steaks are great, but if you want anything else, the menu's not quite so appealing. A friend had the lamb, which was very tough, so she had to get something else. The service is very good, and they dealt with all the changes we requested without any problems. I will still go back.

Me and my partner were looking forward to our dinner tonight very much, unfortunately… To start with, I phoned earlier on a day to ask for a candle in my partner’s dessert as it was his birthday, for exact reason I have ordered a dessert… not only that we didn’t got a candle, but most of food was pretty much slammed on the tables by a miserable food runner. I give 2* as steaks were good, but my starter was burnt, I had to ask for a basics like finger bowl to go with king prawns, tasteless cocktails, service unattended, with tables seated after us and being served and cleared faster than us. So we felt pretty much stuck for 2 hrs in an atmosphere-less restaurant with lights on a full blast at 8pm.. It wasn’t our first visit, but definitely a last. :)

Amazing service and lovely, kind servers! I 100% recommend!

What a pleasant experience. The food was excellent. So many side dishes, so many sauces and so many things to try! The steak was absolutely delicious. I would place it somewhere in my top 3 steaks I’ve tried for under £60 a person. We had the cote de boeuf - which is essentially a bone in ribeye. Cooked to perfection.

I haven't been here for years and booked with a friend yesterday evening. Absolutely amazing food, service and atmosphere. Steak is cooked to perfection so hats off to the chef. Reception and bar staff, again, welcoming. Waiting service to the point, the flow is spot on and you can tell that the team work together well . You have a good team going there and that really shines through. Thankyou.

We came for a romantic meal for two expecting a great meal and great service but were sadly let down on a few things. We ran 10 minutes late for our table and received a call to check we were still coming which was great but were then told that the grill shuts off at 9:15 so we need to order straight away which was really not what we were expecting and felt pressured as it seemed like they were all waiting to go home and we were holding them there. After sitting down we quickly chose our meal which was the £100 signature steak experience, which was absolutely gorgeous. The only fault with the meal was how small the bernaise sauce was compared to the size of the peppercorn sauce and the waitresses excuse that it’s the size of the packet it comes in. Which sounded like utter rubbish just like the timer on the grill excuse. We felt lied to a few times and also the waitress was moody and didn’t really want to get the ketchup or napkins we asked for and forcibly placed them in front of my girlfriend. We felt rushed which ruined our expected romantic meal for two. We would love to return but are unlikely to unless our experience was ensured to be much improved. The food and setting was wonderful sadly the things mentioned ruined the whole experience for us.

Sublime steak cooked to perfection. It did take longer than anticipated.

We came on Monday August 12 without an appointment, we ate 2 garlic puree and steak meat outside at table number 74, I asked for salt but it did not come, I called the waiter, he said we are not looking outside, I got up from the table and got the cola ice and glass myself, your waiter was very rude and disrespectful, I think he came to work after arguing with his wife at night, I do not understand how you employ such waiters, your hospitality is 0 out of 10, disrespectful and rude waiter

Food was absolutely wonderful, I had the T-Bone and the portion size certainly didn’t disappoint. Special mention to Caitlin for her exceptional service and attention.

Visited 11/8/24 with family for my mums birthday and couldn’t fault it. From booking and having to make changes to the booking to the actual service on the day. Caitlin was absolutely amazing! From the moment she first came over to the table she was friendly, professional and efficient. She even wished my mum a happy birthday. She gave great recommendations on how to have the steak cooked and couldn’t do enough for us! She truly made our evening.

Our Romanian server was excellent and made the evening. With other guests who loved their Chateaubriand but my 50 day ribeye was just too tough around the edges.

All rather indifferent really. Zero atmosphere, zero character, zero ambience. Steaks of middling quality at a price that was the equal of places that were and are superior. No flair or style when it came to the presentation of the dishes. Service average. It's all rather typical of an establishement owned by a large corporate entity.

This was our second time eating here and everything was wonderful. A friendly greeting on arrival and quickly shown to our table. Introduced to our steak expert who was super friendly. Drinks and food arrived in good time and steaks were done perfectly. All items ordered were delish. Filet mignon, halloumi fries, garlic mushrooms, side of ribs, chunky chips? Delish. We were checked on a couple of times while we were eating to ensure all was in order or check if we needed anything. Once done we were able to pay in good time. All in all great service and great food! Highly recommended! We were too busy enjoying our food to take any pics!

Visited over the weekend with family. Can't fault it, really. Portion sizes for the starters and mains are great, and there's a great variety of different drinks & dishes. We all ordered steak dishes for mains, and the steaks were cooked perfectly and more importantly, super tasty. One criticism would be that the calamari could use a bit more seasoning as it was a bit bland without the help of the aioli dipping sauce. There was plenty of parking available on a Saturday evening and there was no need to wait around for our booking once we arrived. Staff were all friendly, and the service was good.

Ovi was absolutely brilliant!! Food was fantastic however would just come back for the service. Was a party of 7 (5 adults and 2 children) he also interacted with the children fantastically getting them to help place the order on his tablet He deserves a raise!!!

I have eaten at this branch 3 or 4 times now and each time the food has been great, although I would like to dedicate this review to Shannon as the last 2 visits she has served me and my family and she has made the experience feel really special, she has great people skills, memory and she's a brilliant waitress, she's knowledgeable, helpful and friendly whilst remaining efficient with order timing and delivering food and drinks to you. You couldn't ask for more... she's the type of waitress that makes sure its a good experience and that you return. Her personality matches very well to this job, i wish all customer facing positions where filled with people like Shannon.

First visit to this restaurant and have to say was impressed. Our server “Shannon” was truly amazing. She was extremely polite and professional and very bubbly. A true delight which made our experience even more welcoming. As for the food it was lovely, cooked to perfection and tasted lovely. Would highly recommend.
