Lovely restaurant and great atmosphere. Friends pizza was tasty and fresh, a large size. My philly sandwich was tiny though. Seemed to get the tail end of the sourdough bread. Not worth the money. I've been to the States and tried the real thing. Wildwood philly sandwich a bit of a let down. However, would go back for a pizza.

I never review places, but this restaurant was so lovely and affordable - a rarity in Covent Garden! My friends and I had the lunch special which was delicious! Such a cute spot as well.

We enjoyed the food and drink here. Ordered Philly cheese steak sandwich and fries, steak and fries, prawns and a Caesar salad. Plus desserts. Tasted good and well presented. Drinks cocktails cider and long island tea. The long Island tea could have tasted better as didn't seem to taste much alcohol in the drink. The waitress who served us was very nice.

Average food for the price paid. Had better. Service none existent, would have been nice for the staff to come over and ask if all was ok and if you needed anything else.

Have been here a couple of times and loved it! Revisited on Thursday 15th last week and the food was amazingly delicious especially the carbonara and chocolate brownie. We were served by Hannah most of the evening who was super polite and friendly and made sure to check everything was okay. She even allowed us to try a wine so we could make sure it was the right one. Tarek was also friendly and funny, he served us a few times and made us feel comfortable. Definitely will be returning more than once!

Spaghetti carbonara with chicken & chorizo is creamy, juicy, delicious, French Martini is delightful & the sticky toffe pudding is really good Service & staff are top level

This place had incredible food and very quick and friendly service. I had the 10oz Ribeye steak and the cookies and cream cheesecake and they both came in very good time and tasted amazing. The staff were all friendly and cheerful even when they had to keep running outside to bring me things. Prices for the food weren’t too bad either considering the area and the quality of the food. My only minor complaint is that the drinks were slightly expensive but other than that would highly recommend. 10/10

Pre-theatre lunch (Frozen at the Drury Lane Theatre) with our grandchildren. Excellent location to get to the theatre in a minute or two. Children had a two course meal plus drink for £7.95 and we were impressed by the portion sizes of both the pizza (chicken and pepperoni - 75p extra for a second topping) and warm chocolate brownie with ice-cream. The spaghetti bolognese was a good size too. The activities on the children's menu kept the children occupied for some time. Our grandchildren were aged 7 years (with a very large appetite) and five years. As adults we had spaghetti pomodoro and Philly-steak sandwich. I was surprised the draught Italian beer worked out a lot more expensive than the bottled equivalent and opted for the 660ml bottle (same price as a draught pint).. Our waitress / server was particularly good with the children - although the two men, who appeared to be management, were watchers rather than do-ers. Good clean toilets (downstairs).

To be fair it was just about the only place who had space for a walk in. Rammed. Food was ok, i had seafood risotto. It wasn’t great, watery and not really risotto you’d expect. Catering for masses of tourists.

Dropped in post theatre and pre train earlier in July. Breath of fresh air. Freshly made Italian food at its best. Really good prices, wide selection. Great attentive service. Really good atmosphere Would recommend

Very good experience The woman who served us was really nice, the place was lovely and the pizzas were good too. We took two vegetarians pizza to share between 3 persons and they were both very tasty. I highly recommend this place for the good food and the good service.

Pleasant enough room, but staff could have been a bit more effusive. Chicken Milanese was pretty good and a generous portion but the Seafood Risotto was poor - chewy (probably frozen) seafood and way too much chilli

Went to Wildwood with my 2 kids and husband before the theatre. Service is excellent, and they had kids menu and crayons to keep them occupied. I ordered a buttermilk chicken burger which was quite dry and bland and the bun slightly burnt. My daughter had a mini burger which was again burnt and bitter so she didn't eat it. The kids bolognese was nice and my husband had a nice lasagna. Convenient as near to Drury Lane Theatre Royal!

This restaurant was recommended to us and it didn't disappoint. It wasn't in the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden itself (which we were quite happy with, to be fair). Certainly deserved 5* ratings for food and service... the only reason I've put 3 for the atmosphere is because we went on a Sunday afternoon and there weren't many people in then, but again, that suited us 😊

When we arrived, it was packed, and we had no reservation. Fortunately, we didn’t wait too long to get a table for two. The waiter who took our orders knew the menu well and made great suggestions. When I ordered my seafood pasta, he recommended less chili, which was perfect. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I had the sea bass with veg. It was so disappointing. It was overcooked (burnt in one side with fish sticking to the sin like cardboard) and very small. The vegetables were very salty too. I also asked for a white wine spritzer in a very large glass and it came in an ordinary wine glass with a little jug of flat soda. I was not impressed at all. I definitely won't be going back again as the meal was substandard for the money paid and waitress did not not listen to my request. I wish I had taken a photo to show you.

Great venue to take in a pre show meal

I went to the restaurant with family for my 50th birthday. Never again. Calzone hardly had any filling in it. Was mainly dough. Resoto looked like a starter. And the sticky toffee pudding was about 1 cm thick. Felt rushed. They started clearing. the plates while people were still eating. And then gave out dessert menus while still eating mains and didn't want us to wait before ordering them. Never before have I experienced this kind of service anywhere.

We went here with 7 guests tonight . A great place for pre theatre dinner . I have to say that Blemrim and his team were so welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing , nicely presented and tasted delicious. We made Blerim aware that we were celebrating a birthday and he presented a birthday candle dessert . I will be returning here for sure . An extraordinary experience with impeccable service and a warm, elegant ambiance.Alina and Oana recommended a special pizza, which turned out to be amazing. The restaurant itself looks lovely and the design of it all. We were 'shown' to our table by I believe the manager who just chucked the menus on the table and then started talking to someone else (first flag, and tbh we should have left) we then asked a question about student discount and the gentleman seems irritated that we asked really rude and just said read what it says and was not helpful at all. We then ordered and my partners food had hair in it TWICE.... We complained the first time and the dish was replaced, by this point, my food was getting cold and we were charing one plate. Once his food arrived it was nice but found another hair near the end stuck in the cheese.... very disappointing. They weren't very apologetic about this. Wasn't offered a drink or something to nibble on while be waited. This item was taken off the receipt but then said we can't use student discount as they had taken an item of the menu (like we should be thankful and they were doing us a favour) but no other 'sorry'. Over all very disappointing. Also zucchini fries were sooo oily and do not taste of anything but oil. Wasn't very welcoming or friendly at all. The lady who gave us the wine was lovely and had an amazing smile, wish we had her serving us!

Covent Garden is a seriously expensive place to eat with most dishes around double the cost I'd expect to pay locally to home. However, that's exactly what made Wildwood like an oasis because the prices here were much more reasonable. The food quality was excellent, as was the service by Samir. The restaurant also has a pleasant ambience, with soft, unobtrusive music in the background.

We came in during a Thursday pre-theatre rush hour. Unfortunately, we waited around 50 minutes for our mains. We were not sure if the long wait was usual during a rush hour or if they were just shortstaffed on the day. The pizzas were tasty and we even got an extra pizza as they admitted making by mistake which was resolved after few extra minutes. My partner's seared sesame-crusted tuna steak with gnocchi looked absolutely stunning, unfortunately wasn't medium as advertised but very well done and dry. The premises had nice decor and were well looked after. Service was professional and friendly. Overall, we believe this to be a great restaurant and we were probably just unlucky. We are not opposed to come another time, perhaps not during a rush hour, therefore we would recommend this place for any occasion.

We arrived for a table of 6 on a very busy Saturday, late afternoon, but only had to wait a short while and we were kindly accommodated. The food and cocktails were very good and we had an enjoyable time. We were impressed that there was not a long wait for food despite the restaurant being completely full. The only disappointment was the smell of cigarette smoke the whole time we were there. I am not sure if there is a smoking area at the back of the restaurant and it wafted through (although no exit door could be seen) - but it was a shame, as the smell was noticeably constant and not pleasant whilst eating

Always a warm welcome at Wildwood, whatever the location but specially at Covent garden where Tarek always goes above and beyond! The food is amazing at reasonable prices and we always leave with a smile on our faces!

Possibly my favourite restaurant in London. Have been here a few times now in the last few years and each time the service is amazing and the food is delicious. The staff really actually care if you enjoy your time there. Highly recommend.

Food wasn’t good. Pasta tasted like dolmio, expected more from a restaurant. Steak was chewy. Staff was busy and arrogant and they really let it show. Service fare is a joke.

Amazing food and fantastic service by Tarek. We had to be ontime for the Lion King theatre show and were panicking if we could make it. Tarek made sure the food and bill and everything arrived fast so that we could be on time. Thanks for that..Overall good food and nice service.

The service here is fantastic! I have been a couple times and on my second time the waiter reconsidered me and there has been a 6 month gap! The service was speedy and the food fantastic!

After a long hot day, sight seeing we landed on this place . We got seated straight away but others had reservations. We were welcomed by a lovely member of staff and drink orders were taken swiftly. We ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwicht and the sea bass . We didn't wait too long for it to arrive. The sea bass was cooked really well and seasoned just right. It was £48 for the meal and a glass of savigon blanc. It is not very accessible with tightly packed tables and stairs to the toilets and further seating. There were a number of children in the restaurant fresh from seeing the frozen musical which is just around the corner, so the venue was child friendly.

Rumy and Tarek were amazing! Super friendly and approachable!

The food was amazing. In central London, at a sit-down restaurant, our pasta was £8. They offered lovely infused olive oil and grated cheese on top of jt. Definitely come here to enjoy the warm atmosphere, interesting decor, and delightful food.

Honestly amazing. I went here to have some dinner before a show and it was amazing.

Went here prior to going to the theatre and we were worried about timings, the staff were reassuring that they would do everything possible to get our food ready in time, even taking our order before we were seated. True to their word it was super quick, delicious and served by pleasant and kind staff, upon asking for tomato sauce, the reply was ....absolutely Highly recommended place and well done to all working here

On Thurs 8 Feb we walked past this restaurant and liked the look of the menu and the place looked busy. We thought as we had eaten a full meal at lunchtime we would just have a starter each and a drink before we went on to our show. My wife wanted the Chicken Liver Pate £8:25 and I opted for the Garlic Tiger Prawns £8:95. We also added a side order of Tuscan Roasted Potatoes £4:75. While we waited for our food my wife had a 250ml House White which was priced well at £7:30 while I just had a Decaf Cappuccino Coffee at £3:75. All was going well as the service was efficient and friendly from Samir. Things took a turn for the worse when our starters arrived. My wife's food was superb and she tucked straight in. My Garlic Tiger Prawns which should have at least been hot were certainly not. The sauce was warm and when I tried eating the first prawn it was cold and I had to spit it back out on my plate. I asked the waiter why it was cold and he apologised and took it away. My wife had nearly completed her starter when a very apologetic waiter finally arrived with my piping hot Prawns which were superb. I was surprised that know one came over and offered us anything as a courtesy compensation for the obvious error in the kitchen? Anyway when I received our bill for our two starters and drinks including a tip which came to £48:12, I just paid up in full and left. I would be worried about eating here again as I could not guarantee the quality of the food. For that reason I would not recommend and would most probably now eat somewhere else next time we come to London.

The seafood linguine that we were given had fish that was not fresh and smelled like very old seafood. It was covered in red chilli pepper to probably cover the taste and smell of the old prawns and mussels. Absolutely disgusting! The pasta was also overcooked and soaked in water. We told the waitress about it and at least we got it taken off our bill. The whole experience was bad and we will never come back again.

Came across this restaurant after walking around and glad we chose it. Inside was very nice. Our waiter Tarek was very good. He was friendly and attentive. The service was very good and prompt. It wasn’t too expensive especially as it was central London. Menu was good and had a good selection. Food was good especially the puddings. Would recommend.

Ate here on a Saturday evening, after walking passed many busy restaurants, we found Wildwood where we’d booked with only four tables occupied, it should’ve been a warning, Service was friendly and efficient, Garlic Bread to share was tasty, sadly it was all down hill from there, When our pizzas arrived they both looked great, but despite having different varieties, they both tasted the same, bland, Mine was supposed to be “spicy”, but it was utterly tasteless, Wish we’d gone to Rudy’s where a tasty pizza is guaranteed for around the same price, Our only disappointment food wise whilst in London 😢

Love the detail that has gone into the decor of this restaurant, which provides a unique atmosphere. Staff are very welcoming who serve you in a relaxed manor where no request is a burden. Menu selection is great and not overwhelming. Food is cooked fresh and presented with care. If you are looking to eat Italian food, then you will not be disappointed.

We had a very good time at this restaurant. We ordered the roasted sea bass and pizza, they were both delicious and well prepared. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. We booked as a group of 10+ and were delighted at how accommodating Wildwood were. The group enjoyed the varied food options and complimented the service as being very friendly and helpful.

Below average. It's way too expensive for what you get, especially the burgers (the burger tastes and looks like an 3£ burger). the atmosphere on the lower floor is horrible. garbage and dirt on the floor, the door to the kitchen is opened with a trash can,... I won't go there again.

We went there for our team 2023 Christmas lunch. The food was lovely and well seasoned. The service was really good and fast. The staff were really friendly. A nice place to eat.

We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. We were seated downstairs right next to the kitchen. Staff were friendly and helpful and can't be faulted which was great, however the restaurant itself felt dirty and absolutely chaotic. The food waste bin was outside of the kitchen in the restaurant itself, the door to the kitchen was right next to us and was filthy and a man kept bringing a foul smelling mop bucket full of dirty water through the restaurant tables to empty into the toilets. The food was poor quality and overcooked, and it all arrived at different times, likely due to the sheer amount of dishes we saw being sent back to be redone. It is a real shame as the Wildwood in Birmingham has always been great. Hopefully our experience was due to it being close to Christmas on a Saturday night, however I would not recommend eating here currently.

Had a meal at a very busy time just before going to the theatre. Of the 4 meals 3 were ok but one was dry and couldn't be finished. The serving staff were working hard and being helpful but it did appear chaotic. We had a seat by the kitchen and the area was dirty the food waste bin was in the restaurant and buckets of dirty water were leaving the kitchen. We did see a number of meals being returned. As I said it was a very busy period.

Lovely helpful staff and service but although the food looked good it was more or less tasteless. We had baked aubergine and cob salad. A mystery how it was bland. Also downstairs the chair upholstery is badly in need of cleaning.

Mai più, accoglienza brutta ,cibo scadente locale ,freddo la porta d'entrata rimane sempre aperta x il via vai di gente ,abbiamo pranzato con il cappotto ,x fare piu'coperti i tavoli sono a ridosso della porrà ,poi abbiamo scoperto che sotto c'era un'altra sala vuota e molto più calda ma no facevano andare .scelta sbagliata.! Non lo consiglio.

We had a disappointing experience at Wildwood on a Saturday evening. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant was nice, but the service was a huge let down. The food was reasonably priced, but the quality was about the same as what you would get at Wetherspoons. We ordered the classic burger, 2 pizzas, and 2 lasagnes for mains. However, each dish was brought to our table with a 10-minute delay each, which meant that we ended up eating separately. The lasagnes were brought out last, and it was clear that they had been rushed in the oven to try to get them to the table quicker. This resulted in them being cold in the middle. To make matters worse, the restaurant had completely run out of beer by 6PM, which I have never experienced in any restaurant, especially in central London. We opted for other drinks however we were disappointed. The waitress was not apologetic at all about the inconvenient delays, and she huffed at us when we asked to have the automatic 10% gratuity taken off the bill because we were unhappy with the overall service. Once the bill was paid she threw the receipt on the table, huffed again and walked away without a word making it clear she was unhappy. Overall, we would not recommend Wildwood. There are much better restaurants in the area with better food and service.

Wildwood bills itself as having 'the best Italian food'. However when I came here at 5pm on 30.11.23 it didn't provide me with a hot meal, and the staff were efficient but not particularly friendly, so it is nothing like an Italian restaurant (such as Ciao Bella down the road, which has excellent food, is run by Italians, and the welcome is off the scale). I was eating alone before attending a ROH opera nearby. I was seated near another solo diner who was working - no problem in itself, but it might have been nice to have been asked where I'd like to sit. One feels conspicuous enough as a solo diner without being bunged in with other such, which they had to make space for suddenly as a huge party had just left. And then the wife of the couple who were later seated next to me hummed intermittently during their meal, which was grating. I got the impression the staff were up against it and could have done with some more staff, but they themselves did well to accommodate diners and their orders. They (including the manager) checked on me during the meal but in a 'how quickly can I do this' type of way. Not genuinely interested. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere of very pleasant, low lighting, and quite a nice layout. The drawback was random pop music (not even good hits) in the background (light jazz eg Diana Krall would have been much nicer and more appropriate after 5pm), which inexplicably they turned up after 6pm - just as the families were leaving and more adults were turning up. That was very annoying. But it had a good mix of all ages in the restaurant, which I think is a good sign. I had already been hankering after a burger so that's what I chose. I had the tempranillo wine (turned out to be the house red), which came at a perfect temperature and very reasonable price given the location. The food and drink were served in good time. However the room-temperature water I'd requested came with ice in it - I was barely looked at when the waiter (Samir) took my order so I didn't feel I mattered. I was one of the many people they were trying to process. I wasn't asked how I'd like my burger. It took about 15-20 mins to arrive (perfectly normal) but the (nicely crispy) chips were barely luke-warm (absolutely not hot) and the burger tasted very average to on the dry side. I couldn't see any gherkins or other goodies in there either. I'd say I'm a skilled cook so can say with confidence that all this meal lacked was some love in the making. It may also have needed the waiter to serve it sooner - I don't know whether the kitchen or waiter was at fault for its temperature. I hadn't ordered the (extra item) Monterey cheese in the burger but it was provided as 'complementary' - interesting, given I may not have felt like cheese. I ate it anyway. I was asked about condiments but I prefer someone just bringing ketchup and mayo to the table as those are normal accompaniments. I didn't have pudding but the espresso was delicious: a perfect temperature and flavoursome. When given my bill, I was (slightly pushily) asked to review Samir using a QR code on the receipt but I dislike such things, and usually review on here. I also had to get to the Opera House. If the food had been hot, the staff had been genuinely friendly and listening (not being just as quick and efficient as possible), and the music different, I could easily have given this place 4 stars. As it is it must remain at 2 because the food wasn't juicy and hot, and I wasn't listened to about my water - simple tasks when someone is paying for a meal. Oh, and I don't think a service charge was appropriate but one feels unable to say anything, right?

Busy, vibrant restaurant. Great service despite how busy it was and the food was excellent. Great value too, especially for Covent Garden.

The place is nice but the food is disappointing, it lacks taste… for an Italian place we were expecting much better taste for the pasta particularly.. we’ve never had carbonara pasta with more pepper than overall taste, the salad on the side didn’t have any dressing
