Wildwood in Peterborough

One of the worst services I've had in the city. We sat between 2 groups, despite us ordering our starters and mains first, there's arrived before ours by quite some time. It took so long for our mains to come out that we had to cancel our dessert. We asked for the bill and after 10 mins we look around to see the waitress is busy doing something else. Another group of guests as the same waiter for the bill and was served immediately. We eventually got the bill from another waitress. Very very poor and such a shame.

Went to wildwood for my friends birthday for an evening dinner. Food was great and tasted amazing. I got the transitional bolognese and it was incredible. Good service. My server was Curtis and he was lovely and kept checking in on us to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything else. Great experience.

Come in for a meal, waited 20 minutes to get seated and than 15 mins to have order taken. It took 45 minutes for drinks and food. Pastas was watery and burger come out cold. Staff was no help and all walk round not even a smile on there face

I ordered the seafood pasta, which is supposed to come with mussels. Unfortunately, the mussels weren’t cooked properly and didn’t open naturally. Instead of addressing this correctly, the chef decided to smash them open—seriously, what’s that about? Mussels should open naturally when cooked, there’s no need to force them. On a positive note, the waiting staff were absolutely fantastic. They handled the situation brilliantly and even offered me a drink on the house as an apology, which I really appreciated. That said, the quality of the food has gone downhill and is nowhere near as good as it used to be. The chefs either need retraining or replacing because, honestly, this was disappointing. Christmas meal on Saturday Food was fab. Staff very good considering it was packed all night. Very good price for 3 course and a glass of prosecco. We're probably booking there next year as well as it had a great vibe too. Thank you Alex and Co Emma and the Fitzwilliam group

Me lo pasé genial durante una celebración festiva en Wildwood! La comida era de primera categoría, especialmente el horno al horno pollo y setas Penne, que mi hijo me encantó absolutamente. A mi hijo de 9 años también le encantó la ensalada Caesar. Todo llegó rápidamente, y el servicio fue perfecto — el personal nos recibió cálidamente e incluso nos registramos en nuestra comida. El ambiente era justo lo que queríamos para Navidad, y no puedo esperar a volver y probar algunos de los platos que me encantaría ver volver al menú!

Llevé a mi hija a Wildwood por su cumpleaños 16 ya que este era su restaurante favorito, estábamos en un grupo de 13 personas compuestas por 3 familias. 2 de estas familias tienen un descuento de luz azul, todos nos sentamos en diferentes mesas, sin embargo, porque reservamos juntos las familias se les negaron los descuentos. Después del desacuerdo, las otras dos familias finalmente pudieron usar los descuentos. Sin embargo, pareció que nos castigaron por esto la camarera se negó a servirnos más, y nuestra comida luego tardó mucho más de una hora y media en llegar, al cuestionar esto simplemente nos dijeron que es porque pedimos por separado, ¡la venganza definitivamente parecía ser un plato servido frío! Estos actos de despecho arruinaron el cumpleaños de mis hijas y los planes para los desiertos se arruinaron debido al tiempo tardío después de esperar tanto tiempo. Hemos estado en bosque salvaje innumerables veces, ya que este es su lugar favorito para comer y nunca antes nos había pasado esto. Es una lástima, pero esto fue solo un comportamiento malo de las niñas.

Nice restaurant. Nice staff Food was extremely disappointing. Considering the price, I was expecting a very decent Philly cheese steak sandwich. Instead, I ended up with two thin slices of toasted sourdough bread, burned with a few small strips of chewy steak, lettuce, melted butter and a thin layer of what could have been cheese or mayonnaise. Served with a handful of chips. We asked for more chips, but they never came. Don't bother coming here. Crap. Wait the 30 minutes to get into Nandos.

Have to admit got very excited with it being my first time in this establishment. The atmosphere and decor were stunning and inviting. I ordered the seafood linguine and it was absolutely vile , mussels vile and one was rotten , was swimming in water no sauce whatsoever , my friend ordered the Philly cheesesteak in which it came old stone cold almost as if the steak had just been taken out of the fridge and then to top it off I explained that it was terrible and still had to pay full price ( £47) even though the women at the till said we should give you discount ? If your charging that much you would expect the food to be fresh and to be a decent quality , avoid this unless you enjoy watery disappointment

Kayleigh was a legend. She really looked after us and made us feel like valued customers.

I took my team for a Christmas meal tonight but have to say I was very disappointed with the food. We were virtually the only table there tonight but I was surprised at how cold / Luke warm all 3 dishes and the chef was by no means rushed off his feet snd whilst we had to do a pre order , it was no surprise to hear the opening / closing and pinging of the microwave door which was disappointing to say the least . Soup was lukewarm ,warm risotto which we had to ask for hot sauce to give it some flavour and when the brownie comes to you table with ice cream that didn’t even melt , you know it’s not going to be hot brownie. Sad to say I will not be visiting or recommending this place again - wish I had read reviews before I booked but you learn from mistakes don’t you … suggestions to Wildwood - cook fresh n hot , there’s no excuse when your not busy !

Sugerí Wildwood para la comida de Navidad de nuestro trabajo debido a que siempre lo disfrutamos allí en el pasado. Gran error. Algunos de nosotros optamos por el menú festivo, mientras que otros eligieron del menú normal debido a los requisitos dietéticos y el gusto personal. Cuando llamamos para reservar nuestras opciones de comida, el miembro del personal parecía muy molesto que no todos estábamos pidiendo desde el menú sano y abruptamente nos informó que prefieren que todos pidan desde un menú. Un comienzo decepcionante. En la noche hubo una gran variedad de errores. Uno de nuestros miembros había sido completamente borrado de la orden a pesar de que teníamos evidencia en nuestra confirmación original de su nombre y orden de comida. Así que eso tomó tiempo extra para esperar a que llegara su comida y ella no podía comer al mismo tiempo que el resto de nosotros. La pizza llegaba sin rodajas , no era un gran problema en absoluto pero sí aparentemente un problema para el joven que tenía que llevarla de vuelta a la cocina para ser rebanada. La sopa llegó sin cucharas y Luke caliente. Cuando los cubiertos de postre llegaron fue simplemente colond abajo en frente de un invitado para ella para distribuir en lugar de que el servidor lo haga como nosotros su trabajo. Los filetes eran absolutamente horrendos. Dos de nosotras pedimos bien hecho, tuvimos que dejarlos debido a ser completamente rosa por dentro. La invitada que pidió medium era tan cruda que en realidad me hizo sentir mal mirarlo y ni siquiera pudo tocarlo. Uno de los filetes no era más que un trozo de grasa. Alertamos al personal sobre el problema del filete y nos ofrecieron una botella de Prosecco. Respondimos que ninguno de nosotros bebimos Prosecco a lo que ella nos ofreció una botella para llevar a casa. ¿Por supuesto que respondimos que no habría diferencia ya que todavía no bebíamos Prosecco? Al final nos ofrecieron una bebida gratis cada uno. Debido a los problemas experimentados sentimos que no queríamos pagar nuestro cargo por servicio, pero como habíamos pagado por adelantado nuestra comida, el gerente nos dijo que deberíamos haber revisado nuestro recibo antes de pagar. Ella se ofreció a renunciar al costo de la comida de los invitados que habían eliminado por error del pedido. Un grupo muy decepcionado para ser honesto. Me siento mal por sugerir madera silvestre para nuestra reunión anual. Por el dinero que pagamos esto simplemente no fue lo suficientemente bueno. Es una pena, ya que suelo disfrutar mucho de mis visitas aquí.

Vinimos aquí para el cumpleaños de mi madre el domingo, desafortunadamente llegamos tarde debido al tráfico, pero aunque reservamos una mesa, era relativamente tranquilo para un domingo teniendo en cuenta el tamaño del restaurante. Como está en la plaza principal, no hay aparcamiento en el lugar, pero hay un montón de aparcamiento alrededor. Como el restaurante es enorme, hay muchos asientos que podrían acomodar fácilmente grandes fiestas y hay un área de juegos para niños, que era perfecto ya que teníamos a mi sobrino pequeño con nosotros. Hay muchas opciones en el menú de comida y bebidas. Tienen algunas opciones diferentes a otras cadenas italianas (por ejemplo, Prezzo y Bella Italians), que era refrescante. Pedimos nuestra comida y desafortunadamente tomó mucho más de una hora para recibirla. Nos dimos cuenta de un montón de mesas ordenadas no mucho antes que nosotros, así que la cocina probablemente estaba inundada, así que decidimos no gemir o perseguir. Así que pensamos que pediríamos algunas bebidas para marearnos, pero era bastante difícil llamar a alguien para pedir más bebidas, . Cuando llegó nuestra comida, las patatas fritas y los platos de pasta estaban fríos y las coberturas de la pizza eran muy tacaños. No recibimos un cheque de vuelta en nuestra comida, así que no pudimos plantear un problema. Decidimos ir a otro lugar de postre, ya que no queríamos ser decepcionados y esperar aún más. Estábamos confundidos, ya que no había ningún cargo por servicio en la factura, después de que interrogamos a la camarera, dijo que se eliminó debido a la larga espera por la comida. Lo cual apreciamos. En general, no es la mejor comida desafortunadamente. No sé si tenían poco personal en la cocina o no, pero no nos apresuraremos a regresar.

We had some lunch with family in the afternoon. It wasn't busy, but we were waiting for food for a while, which wouldn't be a problem, but we struggled to get the staff's attention to order more drinks. Pizza felt a bit stingy on the toppings, not my favourite to be honest. Some of our food was on the cold side. On the good side the interior looked nice and fresh.

Wildwood were excellent in helping me celebrate my 80th birthday. from 1st booking and ordering for 30 people to helping setting table and serving drinks and food.An absolutely perfect night.And well done all the staff and chefs who made my night .I will be recommending to all my friends..

Absolutely amazing pizza and pasta place with friendly staff and efficient service. The building itself was modern, fancy and neat. You can even watch your pizza being made!!

Quite disappointed for the price, half of my steal was well done and the other half was medium rare. The other half didn't end up eating as her steak was like charcoal not medium and would have taken too long to cook somethint else. The staff were really nice though. The wine was really good and the lads kids burger meal was really tasty.

We ordered our meal a waited a very long time. People came in after us and got their food before us, the server had given our meal to them when the staff realised they had done this and after the customer had eaten some of the food they were told they had the wrong meal staff took it away from them and went to give it to us the staff looked shocked when we refused it and asked for our meal to be recooked we cancelled our meal as could not be sure they would not vbring the same meals out. Very poor service. Eaten in this restaurant before and had a lovely time but very unhappy that they were going to give us a meal that had been started by another customer.

I love Wild wood ! They have everything in the menu l! Just ordered ! And I even got on the house free desert ! Thank you ! So far the best restaurant in Peterborough!

Very Disappointing….. food was okish . 3 of us food came and different times … so a good 10 min wait for last meal to be served. Service was pretty awful … not very professional. Just an all round disappointment… not value for money experience.

Foods awful. I had five tiny undercooked potatoes replaced by 5 tiny undercooked potatoes when I complained , chicken tepid and old, pasta with 3 tiny pieces of chicken . Gorgeous restaurant and setting and the girl that was serving us was great. Just awful awful food. Shame. Can't even be bothered to go into detail just bad.

Went there on off chance at lunchtime on my birthday and it was superb we had set lunch menu and food was lovely and waiting staff so nice and friendly and helpful and polite

Lovely pre theatre eaterie for when you have to eat and run . Lovely atmosphere and decor is outstanding Lots of choice on menu ..not massive portions but good for early eats. Staff fabulous ..shout out to the boys serving as,both were incredibly friendly and obliging

I wish I had read the reviews! Visited for a light dinner, ordered a chicken Caesar salad which was lacking enough lettuce and anchovies. The croutons were hard and stale, I told the waitress when she asked if we were enjoying our meal - Zero interest 😢! My husband had the Cobb salad which was also lacking taste and presentation. A salad is something that should be enjoyed, ours weren’t ….

Great Food, Service & Atmosphere.

I’ve eaten this in before and it was sublime. However tonight’s was awful. Spent a lot of money on dish and it had no taste other than a small amount of chilli. I couldn’t even stomach the pasta so picked out the chicken pieces and are those. Very disappointed I’m afraid.

Wanted to go here for a dinner call up asking be book a table on the phone for 8 got told we couldn’t do that ( the restaurant closed at 9) she said that the kitchen is shutting at 8 so then I asked to book a table for 7:30 and got told I couldn’t do that. Could tell the girl on the phone obviously just wanted a early night and to go home disappointed for a chain restaurant this was at 6:30 on Monday so if this is not the way this restaurant is run I would check who was working then and talk to your staff

I got the minute steak it tasted raw and disgusting was looking forward to a nice meal and left very disappointed I ordered two mocktail drinks they were very sour and not good. The service wasn’t the most welcoming either when the bill come they tried to over charge us so I asked them why was everything so expensive when we chose the lunch menu and the server walked off and refunded us and then paid the right price . I am very disappointed in this restaurant as I wanted to enjoy a lunch and was let down .

Went for a family gathering at the weekend. The food and service were excellent. Also very child friendly (there is a play room). Would recommend without hesitation!

Over an hour late and freezing

Our first time dining here, Had the philly cheese steak sandwich, chips, and a long island ice cocktail. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable, Great atmosphere, nice music, thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, I found out they do movie nights give that a try. Highly recommended 👌🏾

Great evening out with the family celebrating my Daughters 16th birthday the meal was lovely and the movie afterwards was just fantastic it really did finish off the night. All 25 of us had an amazing time.

Ordered food during opening hours then received a call from the restaurant saying I have to cancel my order. So I have to site and go through all the support trying to get a refund because they aren't organised enough....

Greeted and shown to table, was a nice atmosphere with great lighting. Not too bright not too dark. Had a shared table starter of the mozzarella and caramelised onion flatbread which was tasty. I had the chicken romana which was faultless, as well as the carbonara, steak, and chicken burger. All cooked to perfection. Was waiting a long time for our plates to be cleared, had to get up to ask for the bill. Lots of staff just standing around chatting and the restuarant wasn't busy. Don't like the fact they add 10% service charge, although it is optional i don't want to ask for it to be removed. Especially when you're already spending £100+. Other than that really nice and would visit again.

Wildwood is my favourite place to order from but the last couple of times it’s bit been great. After an hours wait I had an order cancelled by the restaurant. Last order was missing the bread with the garlic prawns. This time my prawn risotto was missing the prawns. All food this evening was barely warm. Disappointed to say the least

Late (I ordered at about 3pm for a 5.30pm delivery to fit in with evening birthday plans) and food was barely warm when it got here. Not in insulated bag. Incredibly disappointing. I also phoned the restaurant at around 5.05pm to check all was ok (as it still just aid order acknowledged and no driver assigned) and was told it was.

Slow service, had to repeat twice when we wanted another drink. Fed up waiting for a coffee after a meal.

Food was hot served relatively fast and staff were very polite. I've been many times would always recommend.

I had chicken spaghetti carbonara - really tasty, it came quickly & was piping hot. Great service, very reasonable price.

Main meal was a long time arriving, chicken and avocado salad, and a rib eye steak for me, medium. When it finally arrived, the steak was well done, and it was obvious it had been sat a while before serving as the steak was very dry. I explained very politely and the manager agreed. He took my plate for a new meal, which took far too long. New meal arrives, well done yet again. I won't insult anyones intelligence by explaining how a medium steak should be cooked. I did eat half if it but the main part was too dry from being cooked too long, which makes the steak tough. The manager was a lovely gentleman, whom we heard arguing with the chef who denied it was well done. The manager insisted on only charging us half the original bill. Positives. The staff were lovely. The manager a true gentleman. The venue has a lovely setting inside with a equally lovely and inviting ambiance. We were going to pay the full price, until my partner told me there was no avocado in her salad. With no explanation. So we gave the £35 saving to 2 homeless men in the city in the form of hot food, coffee and gift vouchers wildwoodfor Greggs.

Popped in for a late lunch. They were having lighting problems at the time which meant the lights kept going out but it added to the ambiance 😀 Ordered a main course of mushroom ravioli which was lovely. I'd had the same dish at the Ely restaurant a few weeks before but this was tastier and more of it. Partner had a chicken dish which he loved. One small issue with our orders but I can't fault the staff here at all. It was sorted and they were friendly, down to earth and helpful at all times. Nice looking restaurant and will return for sure

We had a great nye meal here to celebrate a birthday. The food and staff were brilliant. The atmosphere was lovely apart from the two men that were asked to leave for upsetting other customers could leave without paying. The staff dealt with the issue professionally. Will recommend and return. We'll done all at Wildwood Peterborough.

I had a burger and it was so small it was a 2 bite and it was gone .It was over priced for low quality food I will not be returning.

Great food, outstanding service.

Well I wish I could review the food however that is not possible. We ordered some food from this restaurant using Deliveroo as they were still open. After waiting 1 and a half hours my order gets cancelled and I was told it was because the restaurant was closed. After talking to a gentleman from Deliveroo I found out the the restaurant was closing a little while after placing the order so they decided not to make it and to not contact neither myself nor Deliveroo to inform the order is cancelled. If you do not plan to make food 15-20mins before your closing time, change the opening times on food delivery apps so that this doesn’t happen, or better yet communicate with the people who placed the order so they are not waiting over 1 and a half hours for a delivery that was never going to happen! Due to this experience I doubt I will ever actually go in the restaurant as they clearly do not care about their customers.

£42 for 2 lumps of foccacia, an overdone burger and a Rissotto that you could buy in Aldis for £3. Will never go back.

Had lunch in their Peterborough restaurant on a Christmas week weekday. Everything was great. Layout and decor well thought out. Not noisy, relaxing. The food was delicious. There was a slight problem with our order, which was swiftly and effectively resolved, so actually credit to them for that to. I loved it... I'm very rarely in Peterborough, but if I am I would happily go back.

Placed order and received drinks - glass cracked when waitress slammed on table! When bill arrived they charged me double and did not take into consideration the 3 course lunch meal price - got the bill wrong 3 times!!

I entered the restaurant to get takeaway.. Henry(or Harry, it was too loud and i didn’t get that) gave me a menu and asked me to sit down at one of the front tables. I have decided within 5 minutes and i went to the bar to ask him if i should order there. He told me to wait at the table. After 15 minutes i asked again and was told the same thing. Waited another 15 minutes and no movements so i decided to leave. In all this time, customers who get there after me were served and the staff was chatting around in the bar. The food is great hence i returned here, but after this experience with unqualified staff i will order only online or find a different branch.

We went on a Sunday, the booking was for 20:15 and we were 1hr early. We were seated and the staff did a good job of serving drinks and food. One thing that has crept in and it is not just restaurant is a service charge being added. I do not mind giving a tip but to add one just because is not right. On this occasion, I accepted it as the service was good. The food was passable for a pizza/pasta place if a tad pricy for what we had.

Brilliant food, so tasty with a wide range of choice, service was excellent as was the follow up. Great atmosphere.

A lovely spot for a light late lunch. We went in around half 3 on a Sunday and they had plenty of room. The menu varied and they were really considerate around allergies (another menu with the full ingredients breakdown was provided). The staff were attentive and when my husband’s beer turned out to be flat they instantly fixed it and got him a new one. The food was delicious and the lighter options were perfect for a late lunch. The whole places is really pretty as well and it was an enjoyable visit.

Arrived around 7PM atmosphere was buzzing as i could see loads of tables were wearing Christmas hats and enjoying themselves .. We was seated very quickly considering how busy it was . We was told by the girl on entry I believe her name was Grace? That we was able to be accommodated due to a cancellation. Bar staff were great they were clearly running at full speed but found time to poor me a pint and a cocktail. Food surprisingly came relatively quick how busy it was. It looked smelled and tasted as it should , AMAZING . We was only passing and haven’t eaten here before so was actually quite shocked how good it was . Great job WILDWOOD We will be back

I’ve traveled forty miles to Peterborough for a meal at wildwood, Our table was booked for 19:30 hours and was surprised to be let in early, the meal was a pre booked Christmas dinner with friends at a set price we made a group of thirteen with two or three that could not make it. The restaurant was so busy we were told we could not approach the bar to buy drinks, when we ordered drinks it was taking around twenty minutes for the staff to arrive with them, as I and a couple of colleagues do not drink, they only had non alcoholic larger and nothing else, they should have at least several other brands to accommodate such diners, one colleague asked if he could change his main meal which was fish for turkey, and was told no because it’s a set meal he couldn’t even though one friend who couldn’t make it ordered turkey, by around 20:30 our starters arrived then there was a wait for the mains, I ordered a medium rare steak and other colleagues ordered a medium, the steaks were so thin they were way over done and were sent back twice, I explained to a manager that steak that thin only needs a matter of seconds on the griddle. The manager said she was very sorry that this has happened and the well done meal will be sorted, at 9:55 pm we finally got our dessert, three hours for our meal isn’t acceptable, in fact the whole service was terrible. I will travel over an hour for a great meal but will not travel to Peterborough’s Wildwood restaurant again. The steak I have had tonight doesn’t justify the price, and my colleagues have said the same about their meals. The saviour to this dreadful evening was the manager giving some discount at the end of the evening.

Firstly great place to go with kids as well as being away from kids. Large children area is sort of away from other tables. Food is really good, but some prices not justified like steak and grilled aubergine same price ;) but generally its a nice place to go to!!

Visited this restaurant yesterday early afternoon for a pre booked Christmas meal (with a set menu) for 3 people. When we booked our table, we where advised we did not need to pre order food due to small party size. On arrival we discovered x 1 starter was not avalabile, 2 mains where not available, 1 x side was not avaliable and the desert section was very limited (on the set menu) We complained to our server, and the restaurant manger regarding the limited food options left to us on the set menu. A compromise was agreed. My starter when it arrived was burnt & cold, my main was ok and desert was delicious. Service overall was slow, which was a surprise as the restaurant did not look very busy. Christmas cocktails where amazing - I would strongly recommend the grinch cocktail if you have a sweet tooth! My overall 3 star rating is due to the compromise the restaurant manager agreed to, and the amazing Christmas cocktails. If the manager had not been so accommodating I would have rated it a 1 star. Would I return for cocktails yes! For food sadly no

The order took to long to arrive, we had reservation for 6.30pm with pre-ordered food and we managed to eat around 9.00pm. Do not recomand the food at all. I had chicken romana, that basically was green beens with a small chicken breast on grill and chips. All was dry and tasteless

Went on 30th November 2023, time was 20:45. The restaurant was empty and they refused to sit us because it was ‘too late’. So we ended up in COTE where we spent 200£ on an exceptional meal of a bottle of amazing wine, great starters and chateaubriandt for 2. And still left at 21.45. The Wildwood managers should get a serious management course and possibly the sack.

Receipt stated for 17.25 collection, arrived just before 18.00 - (slot was from 18.35) almost cold had to microwave- shame burger great but it stuck the fries in a lump - I’ll avoid traffic rush hour next time!

The cob salad was an absolute joke, to serve it in a large pizza box and look like a car crash is ridiculous, let alone the amount of it for the price. Don’t bother ordering from here as they don’t care how their food looks once being delivered.

I wouldn't even rate this as one star, complete movie dining experience absolutely rubbish and that is being polite. When I booked it was based on the menu advertised on the site when I arrived it was a revamped menu the manager would not substitute the starter and main, therefore if you didn't like it tough, £25 expensive dessert. No heating in restaurant wouldn't move us and as for the movie room it was like sitting in a freezer despite the fact I told staff I had a medical condition. Never again definitely movie and food at home next time at a fraction of the cost.

So this review is based on the whole entire experience whilst jotting down notes whilst dining. Welcome on arrival: The welcome on arrival was excellent, we were seen by a staff member with a nice smile, and a really friendly hello. Asking if we had any allergies which is excellent, and took us to our seat right away. He gave us a few minutes to look through the menu which allows us enough time to decide what we want. We ordered everything at 17:00. Drinks arrived at 17:08, which was a cocktail. I had the WildWood Special which is a Lemoncello drink. The drink was lush however there were no garnishing on the drink, the jug of water was also missed off. 4/5 Starter also arrived at 17:08, I had the Mozzarella Garlic Bread which I enjoyed. It wasn’t too small and it wasn’t too big, it was a perfect portion size. 5/5 Starters were cleared at 17:20 and cleaned promptly. We were offered more drinks in which I got another of the WildWood Special and reminded the staff of the jug of water. Both arrived in a timely manner. Mains arrived at 17:23 - Personally I feel there should be more time between the starter and main coming out. I ordered the Calzone which was served with salad and a good dressing, tasted like Caesar dressing. Empty glasses were not cleared when second round of drinks arrived. The food was really good and full of flavour. 5/5 Check-back: Sadly, there were no check back for our mains, so no comment towards this section. 0/5 Mains were cleared promptly and we were asked if we wanted anything else. I would maybe consider offering desserts or hot drinks to boost the upselling. We asked for dessert menus. 4/5 We ordered desserts at 18:00. I ordered the sticky toffee pudding with icecream. Desserts arrived at 18:04. The desserts were presented well and the server got us some spoons. Maybe just make sure you place spoons on the table before serving the desserts, we weren’t given anymore napkins which should be a must considering how messy desserts can be. Desserts were lovely though. 4/5 Conclusions: Atmosphere was good with lights being dimmed in the evening. Only problem with atmosphere is hearing the staff’s conversations over the music. Toilets were really clean and there was no smell of sewage or mould. The toilets are a long walk from the dining area and up stairs . Food was excellent, no dish was bland and all dishes were nicely seasoned. Overall ratings: Service: 5/5 Atmosphere 4/5 Food: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Toilets: 5/5 Total: 5/5

Order the lasagne it was quite poor very oily, not a lot of taste, for the price I have had much better quality, shame came 2 years ago for wedding party food was great. Back for anniversary quite dissapointed

Great service but a poor immitation of Italian dishes. Foccacia isn't a dry slab, risotto shouldn't have limp salad leave scattered across the top with enormous chunks of dry spring onions and chillies etc..

The quality of food and helpfulness of serving staff were great however the waiting times for welcoming into restaurant, ordering and receiving drinks and food was ridiculous especially for a Saturday evening. We arrived for an early supper before a concert in the cathedral, the restaurant appeared not to be that busy however we waited and waited.
