Wild Strawberry Cafe in Suffolk Coastal

Sorry to say it was the worst breakfast I've had in the cafe. But if I pay £15.10 for coffee and full English I expect the highest standards. Bacan was so bad I couldn't even eat it. The picture says it all. Who would serve a customer food that looks like that. Lovely staff but all they did was apologised for the drop in standards.

This small cafe is welcoming and the food is delicious. I had a very tasty sausage sandwich with onions and butternut squash filling and my husband had a bacon and avocado sandwich. The Capaccino was first rate. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great place for a snack and cup of coffee. The cafe was busy but didn't feel crowded or overwhelming.

We had a really nice lunch here the Indian cheese toastie was the best ever what an amazing taste! Super nice staff too and they open early in the morning too !

Lovely friendly service. Had hallomi salad and cappuccino. Salad was 5/5. Excellent pesto, leaves were tasty as was the avo cucumber and tomato. Coffee was a little too milky for me, and the coffee taste was lost. However that might just be personal preference. The latte art on top was v good. The only thing was they didn't let dogs inside and so had to sit on a sloppy pavement. Overall I would recommend but mark off for no dogs and slightly milky coffee.

I visited this cafe for breakfast with friends having ran at Rendlesham Forest parkrun. Friendly staff, great service, excellent food! There’s nothing else to say! Do visit this place!

Absolutely gorgeous goat's cheese/spring onions/toasted almonds and fruity mango chutney sandwiches and an iced coffee for lunch. Very, very tasty and good quality. Lovely, friendly staff. The only downside was that they had sold out of the granola bars that we were going to have for pudding.... but we will go back tomorrow!

Great place to sit on MArket square and have a coffee, or snack or lunch. Dogs allowed in outside tables. Wide menus, well-cooked and quckly served by most friendly waitresses. Splendid toilet at back of shop.

Went here during paternity leave with my wife and little one after a walk around Woodbridge and got a delicious takeaway lunch. Class cooking and will definitely be back to try some other things on the menu too!

First visit to Woodbridge and stopped in at this lovely little cafe for some lunch. Not a large menu, which is always a good sign as it normally means freshly made food and we were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband had crayfish salad and I had Cajun chicken with pitta and tzatziki and they were both excellent. The kitchen were very accommodating in doing a plain bacon and plain sausage sandwich for my parents which saved the waste of unwanted additions being left on a plate. We then had carrot cake and everyone agreed it was one of the best we've had. We would definitely recommend calling in and we will where were next in Woodbridge

When passing through Woodbridge my daughter and I needed something to eat and we called in here. We are glad that we did. The food was excellent (especially the home-made cakes) and the staff were very attentive without being interfering, and very pleasant, too, as was the street scene.. I would certainly recommend this establishment to any visitor

Stopped for drinks and cake, the carrot cake was very nice, the chocolate biscuit cake I couldn’t eat it wasn’t enjoyable so I left mine. My husbands bakewell cake he enjoyed but said he had eaten better. Sat outside the front of the shop could do with a tidy up. The toilet was ok but could be improved seemed a bit dark and dingy. The view of the town square is pleasant.

Lovely food if I tad expensive (I suppose it is Woodbridge darling) but the decor is very lacking, cold with stark walls and stained tables and plastic chairs.

We went here for lunch the weather outside was horrible and very wet. We had the homemade mushroom soup which tasted very good. Staff were cheerful and welcoming.

Stopped here for lunch while walking around Woodford I went for the chicken sandwich with granary bread it was very tasty and the coffee was also very nice topped off with friendly staff will definitely be returning.

A favourite haunt of yummy mummies, ladies that lunch and now grumpy old men, I have visited several times with friends and have been consistently impressed with the cleanliness, friendly service and excellent food. The Café is situated overlooking the beautiful Market Hill and has outdoor seating to make the most of the view and the bustle of the square. This is a great spot for veggies and vegans and the veggie breakfast is fantastic, I have never felt hurried here and this makes it the perfect place to meet friends

I went for breakfast Wednesday 15th Sept 2021 with a friend had a lovely breakfast. Also one of best customer service experience I have ever had Michael was the kind gentleman that served he was smiling very polite all the qualities you expect when dealing with the general public. We also had cake which was lovely.

Enjoyed sitting in the sun outside the Wild Strawberry Cafe in Woodbridge with a well made flat white and delicious piece of carrot cake, perfect light texture, carrot content, seeds and cream not to sweet. Others I’ve had recently have been good but not as good as this! Well worth walking up through the town for. Enough said.

Great little place... lots of outside seating. Friendly staff, good service. Ordered small breakfast and an expresso. Yummy sausage, perfectly fried egg, little cherry tomatoes, brown seeded bread... perfectly yummy. Highly recommended ✨👍✨

What a great lunchtime menu. Whilst they offer the normal sandwiches and cakes they also have some really unusual and extremely tasty salads. And other lite options. I went for the grilled halloumi salad which was so tasty - a real pleasure to enjoy. My hubby had the Cajun chicken with pitta etc again he thought it was really excellent. Service was friendly and good. They have outdoor tables set up in the market square under the trees - a lovely setting. A great find.

We visited this cafe on a very wet Thursday morning, basically to get out of the rain and dry off. What a wonderful place. Tea, cakes and one of the best sausage rolls I've ever tasted. Lovely place, lovely people. Thoroughly recommended. We shall return!

Made the mistake of ordering the Cajun chicken strip. They were ridiculously dry and seemed to have been cooked a couple of days ago. All in all very disappointing.

I have been here before and found it to be lovely however this time there was a very rude lady serving behind the counter. Thankfully the male with her knew more about customer service and was more helpful. Once I walked in he said hello. She said nothing. I asked if they had a toilet. He replied in a friendly way. She looked unimpressed. I asked for a cuppachino, she said eat in or take away. I said I will go outside with it but could I have it in a takeaway cup please. Again, this was met with an unfriendly expression as if I was being difficult! Finally, which has resulted in my review, I dared to ask for milk when she gave me the drink. She replied - milk??....but it’s a cuppachino! As if I couldn’t have milk! Thankfully, the male interrupted & asked me if I wanted it cold and again was helpful! She then brought out the milk without saying a word. Just so rude. Not how customers should be made to feel. I won’t be coming here again. It’s a shame the male wasn’t alone as I would have received a much better service.

Nice position at the top of the hill overlooking the small square. We had a window seat which felt light and airy. Coffee was nice and the hand made sausage rolls tasty, improved with a tingly chilli jam. Friendly staff.

After visiting Sutton hoo on a midweek day we were hungry and in need of a nice lunch.We decided to venture in to Woodbridge and try to find a cafe and the wild strawberry cafe was absolutely perfect.It had incredibly friendly staff who were quick to take our orders and serve us our food. The food we ordered was amazing! The salad was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. And my daughter’s chickpea and chorizo stew was also exceptional. Overall, I can’t recommend this cafe highly enough.

This is the second time I’ve visited this cafe with family. I’m afraid that on both occasions, whilst the food has in fact been fine, the male owner has been actively and extraordinarily surly, bad-tempered and generally unfriendly. We had uncomplicated orders and were a normal family having a normal breakfast! Quite a shame, as his manner cast an overwhelmingly unpleasant vibe on what would otherwise have been a lovely visit. I did say to him ‘you have a lovely business here, smile’, but even that didn’t elevate his mood. Shame, as otherwise, it’s a great little place, and if he’d been pleasant, I’d have awarded 5 stars. It doesn’t cost anything to be pleasant!

Came here for breakfast as a family of 5 and thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside on the Market Square in the sunshine. I thoroughly enjoyed my granola with greek yoghurt, the granola was warm and absolutely divine! Fabulous service as well, our waiter couldn't do enough for us and was more than happy to let us take our time and soak up the late summer sun.

We had a light lunch with iced coffee both mine and my wife’s salad was very nice. The staff are very pleasant and helpful definitely recommend this cafe when your in Woodbridge just on the market square.

We had a lovely lunch at The Wild Blackberry cafe whilst staying on the campsite at Swanns Nursery. The chicken and pesto sandwiches were delicious and the carrot cake was sublime. We bought a scone for later and that was also top quality. This cafe is in a lovely setting with plenty of outside seating. We will certainly return and look forward to trying the Wild Strawberry cafe when we are next in Woodbridge.

Have visited Woodbridge hundreds of times, living in a nearby village however this is the first time of coming across this cafe.Ordered a chai lattee alongside a chocolate cookie which was delicious. Friendly service and lovely location overlooking the square.Have also read through the menu ready for future reference. Shall visit again.

My wife and I have called in for coffee a few times. A nice brew and they do a good Flat White. They have a bring and swap book collection in the back room.and I have swapped books there several times.

Unique + traditional menu - coffee to die for - lovely experience on a sunny morning we sat outside, would get tight for tables inside if cold day - so we will return again nice and early

Had breakfast with several colleagues the other day - I had scrambled eggs on toast with bacon. Beautifully cooked and served, generous portion. But, too late to send it back (I'd had several mouthfuls), I noticed that the dish was liberally seasoned with black pepper, which I detest. Why do cooks insist on adding items that are best left to individual taste - why add it in the kitchen and then put pepper on the table?

We popped in for a snack lunch, really good choice of hot or cold food super Illy coffee, and probably the friendliest welcome in woodbridge!!! You must visit here...

We ate here for breakfast on the last day of our holiday. Great service and good choices for food. They were even prepared to give my fussy son a plate with just bacon on it! Recommended!

On a fine sunny Friday in August, a trip to Woodbridge and deciding where to have a light lunch.

We regularly visit this lovely cafe, mainly for the high quality Allpress coffee and delicious salad food options. When on the menu, the home made sweet potato falafels with sun dried tomato paste and salad are well worth trying out, and goats cheese options are always scrummy. In the summer holidays, the tables and chairs put out in the market square add a almost continental vibe to the experience. Well worth trying out, even if the appearance is less glamorous than other establishments in Woodbridge.

You can’t get a better quality full English breakfast, that champions some amazing local suppliers. Their full English with toasted sourdough is unbeatable and so good to be able to sit out in the market square in the sunshine

Lovely LITTLE cafe but difficult to find and little parking around. Incredibly busy, thus the order of spread avocado was served on slightly burned toast and they forgot the croissant we ordered. Lovely people, and nice little business, but not worth the effort to find from Ipswich/Aldeburgh. I preferred our Aldeburgh breakfast many times over this.

Dropped into the Wild Blackberry Cafe, their sister company and had hot chocolate and carrot cake. My companion had deluxe hot chocolate and orange and almond cake. Both were sublime and the deluxe hot chocolate which rose like a towering fountain of cream and marshmallows. Cannot find any fault whatsoever, everything was delicious, freshly cooked and the place was spotless. Recommend to anyone.

The Coffee and pastries were very nice, service was friendly and we we were gossiping and weren't rushed, would visit again.

Regularly nip in here for a lunch time cuppa and sandwich. Love the coffee and it's in great location on market hill. I do have to say that since we last ate here -not so long ago - portions definitely seem smaller! They did advise us there was a new menu, clearly a smaller one.

My 3rd choice Coffee shop in Woodbridge, I dont go there that often because of Honey & Harvey and Fire Station. it doesnt make it a bad place though. Seating is a bit on the plain side.

Best coffee ever! Sitting in the Market Square watching the world go by is a great start to a Saturday. Try the super sausage rolls and local pickle and the breakfasts look great too!

The wild strawberry is not the most attractive cafe externally and internally it is nothong special. However owner/staff were welcoming and efficient. They also serve the very best carrott cake I have ever known!! Sandwiches looked to be in the deep fill/ doorstep department too...

I Love this café. It has a nice ambience to it. It is fairly small, but independent. It serves the best latte I have ever tasted! We all had a mid morning breakfast. Three of us had scrambled eggs with bacon on granary toast, and it was spot on (perfect scrambled eggs). All the food was very good quality, and the service was great too.

If you want a comfortable spot with lovely food on beautiful Market Hill, this is it. Great staff and the capuccino is second to none.

Woodbridge is a lovely town. It is well worth visiting, if only for a quick coffee and a bite to eat while on route to somewhere else. This cafe is ideally suited as a place to meet up with friends. It is centrally situated, clean and comfortable. It serves all the familiar favourite hot drinks and snacks plus more. There is car parking right outside and the town centre is a five minute walk away. Ideal!

Their carrot cake, is absolutely gorgeous (could be tempted to another slice!!!!)For information, the same people have just opened another cafe in Bromeswell, this is called the Wild Blackberry Cafe, and as far as I am concerned, is entitled to the same rating, and review.

Fair prices for the quality of the food. Sandwich fillings are more interesting than most other cafes. Plenty of options for children too. Very welcoming staff and excellent coffee.

Woodbridge is a charming little Edwardian town in Suffolk chock full of interesting shops (especially the book shop). No trip to Woodbridge is complete without a visit to The Wild Strawberry Cafe. Located at the top of the town, the Wild Strawberry cafe is a great place to get a delicious breakfast, brunch or lunch, freshly prepared and not a strain on the pocket. It's light, airy and clean with dining inside and out. With books, newsapers and free wifi, the Wild Strawberry Cafe is both adult and child friendly. The staff friendly and chatty and always make you feel welcome. Check out their fabulous Carrot cake which is to die for and unsurpassed anywhere!

Have been to this cafe a number of times and food is always wonderful. This time had breakfast, quality of ingredients and cooking really good. Very friendly service and sitting in the market square watching the world go bye is hard to beat. Open Sunday's at the moment which is an extra reason to go. Well worth a trip!

Stopped here for and enjoyed sitting outside people watching while drinking my iced coffee. We also tried their bake well which was a little over sweet. Staff were very lovely. I would return to try their lunches which looked very good

I've been to this cafe a few times over the last couple of years. The quality of the food I've had is top notch and has remained consistently high at each visit. There is plenty of room to sit, although it is not immediately obvious that extra seating is available in the room behind the counter. I've not tried that much on the menu as I haven't been able to get past the extremely tasty crab and avocado sandwich that calls to me every time I visit! The coffee is really nice, maybe the regular cup size could be a little larger though. The staff are friendly without being over attentive, just right imho.The cafe is in a great location, a short walk from the town centre, and is close to the local museum. Parking is limited nearby so we normally park in the supermarket car park in the town.

Visited on my own having stumbled across this cafe. Fab coffee and a lovely granola type flapjack. Was very good and would go back if I was in the area.

We had the scrambled egg and bacon on granary toast. Fantastic! Lovely crispy bacon and excellent scrambled eggs. Stokes brown sauce instead of the usual squirty bottle is an added touch of class. Nice pot of tea to wash it down with too.

Used this cafe for a business breakfast. Food was excellent, staff friendly, very accommodating, good atmosphere all round.

A really delicious breakfast from these guys. We drop in fairly often for breakfast and coffee - the service is consistently good (friendly but not intrusive) and the food always excellent.Smashed avocado on toast or the crispy bacon sandwiches would be my recommendation.

Visited the cafe today and was delighted with my very tasty warm spicy lentail salad. The kids ordered from the specially created kids menu and each had a fresh mango juice to go with it. I had a delicious Latte and was so impressed I was persuaded to buy a packet of their ground coffee to take away. The staff were very friendly and you could tell it's a place that has a lot of locals as they seemed to know everyone by name. One small thing to note for future is that I didn't realise the was a special on the board until it was to late and I had already ordered. Well done however though.

I called in for a light lunch with my grandson and left rather disappointed. The menu I thought was rather dull and made do with a cheese sandwich which arrived with sliced cheese in a couple of pieces of supermarket sliced loaf. 4 slithers of cucumber and apple. The coffee wasn't great and not a huge choice of drink for the young. The staff were rather "casual" in their service and attire and a little off putting hearing their conversation from the person behind the counter and the other sitting with a magazine. The Strawberry Café used to be vibrant with oodles of healthy choice, having now read previous comments I wonder if I went there on a bad day perhaps......?.

A beautiful breakfast on a lovely sunny winter day. Had scrambled eggs and my wife had smashed avocado, both on granary toast. Both were lovely and fresh, we were both very satisfied. To top it off the flat white is the best I've had in town! A splendid way to start our Saturday morning.

Visited here today to get myself and a friend breakfast to take away and it was lovely! Staff are extremely welcoming and food service is very quick, the quality of the food is brilliant too! Will be coming back for more bacon sandwiches!!!

Found at the very top of the Market Hill beside the King's Head public house, this cafe is a short walk off the main shopping thoroughfare, but it is well worth finding.The handmade cakes are beautifully made and there is a good selection of gluten free options. I had a mocha, which is my coffee of choice, and it was probably the nicest I have found in Woodbridge. The cafe looks quite small from outside but there is a large room with more tables at the rear.

Stopped here for a quick lunch after reading the reviews and website. It sounded ideal and it was! I had a soy chia latte and houmus and houmus toasted sandwich, which was delicious, slightly sweet yet savoury, who would have thought of adding star fruit. My husband had a normal coffee (his words!) and the Mozzetta toasted sandwich. Which he said was very good. Just a normal sort of cafe, nice and warm with good service. Some outside seating looking out on the market square, lovely on a slightly warmer day I would think. Wiould definitely go back if in the area again.

Visited today for breakfast. It was extremely busy but I got my Cappuccino very quickly. It seemed to be full of regulars as there was a very social buzz about the place. I managed to settle in the back room which was a little quieter. The Breakfast I went for was the full English which had very good quality meat (2 bacon 2 sausage) and 2 bright yellow fried eggs. The staff were very friendly and attentive and I'll certainly be back soon.

Not once have I been disappointed by the Strawb! Both the breakfast and lunch menus are exotic and delicious without fail, the hot drinks and snack are to die for, the service is always impeccable and friendly, which makes it all fantastic value for money. I will continue to visit for years to come :)

Popped in between Christmas and New Year. The cafe was packet to the rafters. They have a very Creative Menu. We shared a Salmon Sandwich on delicious Sourdough bread. The sandwich came on two plates with a side salad each. A lovely touch. The latte and Mocha where spot on and would definitely come back. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Friendly cafe serving excellent coffee and the most amazing carrot cake. Their soup and salads are delicious and in the warmer months you can sit outside in the square on Market Hill - its like being aboard.

Went with a group of friends to this very busy cafe for a hot drink. Menu was so impressive that we ended up eating as well. Unusual & interesting light lunches & cakes Coffee & teas were all very good. Staff friendly & efficient. Would highly recommend

My visit to Suffolk would not be complete without dropping in to the Wild Strawberry Café. We love it so much we even arranged to have our informal wedding breakfast there. The coffee is great, I'm addicted to the smashed avocado on Pump st. sourdough, but what makes it so special is the friendliness of the staff. We probably visit once every few months, but they remember my order...can't get much better service than that! I highly recommend a visit to this fab little café.

we have been here a few times now - each time the food is so delicious, the coffee is excellent and the staff are friendly and efficient. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and a book swap shelf at the back! This is a little gem in Woodbridge and most definitely worth a visit or three.

My friend and I popped in here for lunch on a Saturday on a day out in Woodbridge. I was really impressed with the menu, all the dishes sounded amazing with interesting food combinations. I opted for the sweet potato falafel salad with pitta bread strips, hummus, avocado and a sun dried tomato dressing. For a salad it was a good sized portion, very filling, wonderful flavours and excellent value for money.

Nice tasting coffee, and relaxing surroundings, with very courteous service. We were made very welcome and it felt far more than just a cafe, it doesn't look much from the outside, which is why I hadn't been before, but the managers/ owners made it a special experience for us.

How absolutely lovely to be able to sit in the market square and be served coffee etc, by a most personable young man on a perfect day. Coffee was outstanding and cake good too. Ice creams are delicious. Just a great experience in beautifully quaint surroundings.

Right on the market square, this cafe is unpretentious but the food is very good. I think that the chef is not only a fantastic cook, but also an entertainer! Go down to the theatre and see if you can spot her.

We went for a long walk with our Labrador and then went to Woodbridge for lunch and obviously couldn't leave him in the car on a warm day. It was great to find the Wild Strawberry cafe, as it has tables outside on the old market square. The food was delicious and they brought a bowl of water for Prince. The cafe itself is rustic but most people seem to sit outside in the charming square. We would certainly visit again.
