Wild Rocket Restaurant & Bar in Sedgemoor

Amazing food taste wise and portions. Fab service - staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. Great choice of food on the menu. We had the calamari to start. The coating was crispy and the calamari was tender. The special of the day was chicken and mushroom risotto. This was delicious. Very flavourful, good ratio of chicken, mushroom to the risotto. Hubby was very happy. The crispy pork belly, sage and butter crushed potatoes and mixed veg (I swapped out the black pudding) with apple and vanilla gravy was amazing. The venue was very clean, tidy and spacious. The staff were dressed smartly. A great venue for any day occasion.

Tasteless and pretentious. Bland food. Garlic bread with no garlic taste. The website uses words like, "locally sourced" and "fresh" but I'm sure the chips were "oven" chips. The couple next to us thought it was terrible aswell.

Where do I start… From the initial conversations with Josh in particular weeks in advance of the actual party we were impressed by the professionalism of this restaurant. Communication with them was very helpful in getting across what we were looking for. On arrival our table for 12 was impressively dressed and the staff were courteous and friendly towards our needs. My starter along with Tommy my future bil of Calamari was delectable. The staff were very friendly and not overly pushy in pursuing drinks being ordered. Everybody’s main course was spot on with no issues whatsoever. Waitresses were quick to help us out with getting the 3 younger children their dinners & desserts as soon as they possibly could to quell their agitation. The desserts were sublime with various choices available which in fact were ordered much to our satisfaction. Josh and his staff are an absolute credit to this restaurant and we as a family would love to return sometime soon for another celebratory occasion.

Great resteraunt! We weren’t sure what to expect as we wondered around Bridgwater trying to find somewhere for dinner on a Thursday night but glad we came across this place. Food was brilliant, service was even better. Josh was acceptional as was probably the other members of staff on their tables. Worth a visit!

Was out to Lunch with friends on Wednesday. The service was really below standard, I do not expect to go to a Restaurant where cutlery for the whole table was just presented to the table on a plate on a serviette uncovered ( really unhygenic) and had to hand them around the table, or where we had to ask for serviettes as they were not provided. My friend and I ordered Green Pesto Tagletteli with Chicken which was extra. The Tangletteli really had no taste, the chicken could have been cooked longer and was grossly. My friend had to leave hers. I actually do know what I am talking about as I am a qualified Chef. We did inform management and were given a free coffee for myself and my friend. Even the coffees were not correct and they had forgotten mine. This is not the first time I have eaten here but it will definitely be the last time, and would certainly not reccomend it to anyone again.

Absolutely the best Sunday roast we’ve had out for a very long time. Everything was piping hot, the meat was tender and the vegetables cooked to perfection. Starters were also delicious. Three of our party of seven adults also had pudding which were fabulous. Even the coffee was good! The service could not be faulted - fast, attentive, friendly and polite. A really lovely family meal. Thank you to all at The Wild Rocket.

2nd time I’ve been here, and both times the food has been excellent. The service is also excellent with very helpful staff. Good covid secure practice in place too. Would totally recommend.

We were really pleasantly surprised with how lovely this meal was! We’d never been before, and with it being right in our doorstep, it hadn’t really occurred to us! We went for a meal and cocktails one night, with COVID restrictions applied. We had a friendly welcome, it felt safe, it was clean and there was a lovely selection on the menu. Food was absolutely lovely; it was well cooked, had nice flavours, was well presented. They were also very accommodating to changes made. The cocktails were made with love with quality ingredients and I really rate them. Thank you so much, we were super pleased and we will be back. More cocktails on the menu! They were so nice, I’d love to have even more choice!

Had a lovely business meeting here for about the 4 th time , meeting bar and club owns for business meeting .Had the chicken Berger for some think a bit different , have to say was very good and the best I have ever had , well done team .Had the breakfast here befor that I also liked a lot , keep up the 5 star service guysRussell @ baytree upholstery and beds

Dined here on Friday, 11/9/20, and had a lovely meal both the Crispy Belly pork and Sea bass were Gluten free. Well presented very nice accompanying vegetables. Staff pleasant and we felt very Covid safe. Will return and recommend for Coeliacs.

I had the salmon and shrimp cakes, which were very tasty, my partner had the burger which was good but a bit overpowered by the sauce. The restaurant was packed and it showed a bit in the service but great to see a restaurant turning customers away midweek.

We happened to have brunch here after one of our vegan party couldn't be catered for where we had planned to visit.What a delight it was from the moment we walked in. Lovely staff who were polite and friendly and made sure everything was just right. But it was the quality of the food that made it perfect. Without doubt THE best breakfast I've had in a long time and huge portions. Delicious for everyone vegan, vegetarian and meat eaters. Well done. Staff fab. Spotlessly clean and a real gem not to be missed on Bridgwater high street. We'll be back.

Well, what a very pleasant surprise. I have walked past this place many a time without seeing what they done. However, we were in team and was hungry so thought we’d give it a try.The staff are very welcoming and friendly. It is a very calm relaxing atmosphere. Our food was superb! We ordered the mega breakfast - 3 of Bach, sausage, egg, hash browns, and also comes with beans, mushrooms and toast! With our coffee they asked if we wanted hot or cold milk - nice touch. The food was excellent and very fillingI must point out that this is a proper restaurant, not a cafe, and they do steaks, fish dishes, burgers, vegetarian option, gluten free options as well.They are very conscientious about Covid protocol. Asking us to use hand sanitizer as we go in and making a note of our details for track and traceOverall a very enjoyable visit and will definitely be returning in not too distant future

Went here during the ‘eat out to help out’ offer. It was very busy & the staff worked extremely hard, but were professional & polite. There were 4 of us & we all enjoyed our food. 2 of us had the chicken & mushroom risotto, one steak & one chicken New Yorker. We were too full for desert! Overall a very pleasant experience with well cooked & presented food. Will return

We went to Wild Rocket to blow away the coronavirus blues. We were greeted by the Manager who asked us to sanitize our hands and was shown to a table where there was social distancing with other tables. All staff had face masks and the whole set up made you feel safe and comfortable. We both had a roast I had chicken breast roll with stuffing and my wife had the pork belly ribs both with a nice choice of vegetable. The presentation was amazing well done to the chef.Goshi the manager and all the staff looked after all our needs we were well and truly impressed by the experience. We will certainly return as we felt safe.

Decided to visit after being told by friends how lovely the food is, and it didn’t disappoint. Gorgeous food, and lovely staff. We ordered the Steak Salad & Wild Rocket Burger. The steak was cooked perfectly, and my partner said that burger was super tasty. Highly recommend!

Booked at short notice and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Had Olives and flat bread to start.Pan fried Sea Bass with Mashed Potato and Vegetables for the main meal. Simple, well presented and extremely tasty food. Great service and relaxing atmosphere. Only point deducted from me was the bucket size cup for the flat white at the end, which was also served too hot.Still didn’t spoil a lovely evening and delicious meal. Would definitely return and recommend.

Bridgwater itself is not a very nice place but if you do find yourself there then I highly recommend Wild Rocket. A hidden gem amongst the shops. The menu is varied and there is a specials board on the wall. Ambience and décor are perfect. Service was exceptional and staff were very friendly, doing a great job under the Covid circumstances :)

Went in as passing for a Sunday Roast. Was very pleasantly surprised. Both of us had the roast Beef. Beautiful food.

Wasn't expecting much, but got a lot. Sunday visit, but they served us off menu. Turkey roast was lovely, partner had jacket potato . Thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the restaurant.

Staff were helpful and careful (we had members of our party with food allergies), food was delicious, and the selection of dishes is large enough to please everyone. We'll be back!

First time visiting in the evening and all in all pleased with the meal and will be revisiting. A couple of things, one was my husband had a fillet steak and asked for a medium but it was quite rare in the centre. He was happy to eat it but had it have been me I would have had to send it back. I had lamb three ways and it was delicious as were the salt and pepper calamari we both had for starters. The second thing was we waited and waited for someone to ask us about desserts but it didn’t happen. We eventually got the attention of the waitress (who’s name was Holly & she was a sheer delight, polite well spoken & attentive) she brought us the dessert menu but it didn’t really do it for us. Not such a great choice really, apple crumble , wild rocket mess, plain chocolate & orange cheesecake, sorbet, ice cream, cheese & biscuits nothing we couldn’t live without.... shame really but that’s life! Well done Wild Rocket thank you.

Cocktail and tapas night- varied and delicious selection. One of us had a steak which was melt in the mouth. Excellent value for money. Lovely friendly service too.

Everything is right with this restaurant, the staff are friendly and helpful, its clean, the music isn't too loud or annoying, its comfortable, it sells wonderful wine and last but not least ..... the food is absolutely gorgeous!

I go here often and never had a bad meal very friendly staff and the food is amazing I highly recommend this place I haven’t had one bad experience here the food is delicious especially the roasts.

My wife and I saw a board advertising Tapas so we decided to give it a go. We were greeted by the manager Gosia who was very welcoming. The service was excellent from the start to finish and the Tapas with cocktails was delicious. A new Tapas menu is planned and we cannot wait to try it out. Went for a Sunday lunch and met by Holly and Gosia with a nice welcome,my wife had the pork belly and I had the roast beef both presented to a high standard by Matt the chef. Both meals were very tasty and cannot wait to return. Nice piped music was played and the service was superb.

We had a great time at Wild Rocket yesterday. They catered for 28 of us which was amazing! Nothing was too much trouble for them. It was nice to see that they put Christmas crackers out on the table for us. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was good and great value at the same time. I would recommend Wild rocket for any afternoon/lunch work socials!

Well, I struck lucky with this restaurant, it was busy, always a good sign, very welcoming staff, a good and varied menu at reasonable prices, as I was driving I stuck to low alcohol drinks and absolutely no problem there, for my partner there was a fine choice of wine by the glass, overall an excellent choice and we will be returning.

We hadn't visited the Wild Rocket for a long time but saw that they had changed the menu and now did Tapas, so we thought we would give it another try.

Popped in today for a late lunch, just before the kitchen closed. Both my wife and I cleared our plates. Food cooked to perfection and the taste. We will visit again one evening this week. THE place to eat in Bridgwater and won't break the bank.

We've wanted to try this for a while and now wish we hadn't. The pasta was delicious but the fishcake had no flavour and was almost burnt. If we hadn't been in a hurry we would have sent it back.

We had a family lunch here and the food was fine but not great. We were not offered dessert so had to ask and were then shown a very small list and told they wanted to shut soon so we would have to be quick. As I say it was ok but don’t think we will be rushing back.

I came here by myself for a roast on a Sunday. I had the roast beef and it was outstanding! The entire meal was very tasty and there was plenty of it! Everything was cooked to perfection. The waitress serving me was very attentive and worked really hard!! Brilliant atmosphere and very good value!

Fantastic fresh food and especially nice that my vegetarian daughter had more choice of dish than the usual pasta or pizza - she gave the vegetarian pie of the day and mash 10 out of 10. I tried a little and it was delicious. Highly recommend restaurant.

we went hear for sunday lunch a few weeks ago we often had sunday lunch hear over the last couple of years but last time i booked a table as i always do when we arrived our table was taken went to sit at a couple of other table ahd was told they were already booked although there was no reserve sign on the tables the only table that was left was by the door and they wouldnt close the door as i had my 96 year old mum with me we were cold then afer all that they change the menu it was not as nice as it was before we had our meal and said we would not be returning such a shame we used to love it here

Visited with friends recently, the restaurant was fairly empty for a Friday evening only 2 other tables were full? But Bridgwater fair was also on, so may have had an effect?

We were in Bridgwater last Monday for our opticians appointments and called into The Wild Rocket for lunch. We both had the lemon chicken risotto and it was delicious.

I have used this restaurant before when the food and service were good. I had asked a friend for lunch to thank her for help she had given me. Bad idea.

Six of us visited for lunch today, so glad we stumbled across this place. Two had jackets, one had pasta, one had the vegetarian special risotto, one had a fishfinger sandwich with fries and one had a beef burger. All of the food was cooked to a good standard and we didn't have to wait long. We were offered a jug of water and service was good without being intrusive. All in all, a good experience. We come to the town every few months and will definitely visit again!

Here for breakfast with my two year old, on arrival the staff were friendly talking to my daughter, where normally she gets ignored. I had the full breakfast and she has some beans on toast both were delicious, cooked lovely and looked great on the plate.

Went to the Wild Rocket For there Tapas menu with a group of friends. The choices were amazing and cocktails were brilliant. Fantastic offer of 6 tapas and 2 cocktails for £39.00 only!

Just so welcoming like it's other restsurant the Green Olive. Greeted by smiles and nothing too much trouble. Best soya latte ever and bacon sandwich piled with bacon and fabulous bread . More expensive than others nearby but quality worth it

Visited on Saturday for a tapas and cocktail evening . The food was absolutely amazing and the cocktails were delicious! Definitely recommend this place and will be returning very soon.

We visited the wild rocket on a Wednesday evening. We found the staff outstanding. They were attentive and welcoming, our tables were clean, tidy, and we were always well looked after. The waitress did all she could to make us as welcome as possible.

Fantastic evening, ambience was amazing, the singer Tim was phenomenal. Great cocktails but a massive thumbs up to the chef and his team. The food was incredible, having dined at a number of Michelin starred restaurants, the food was simply second to none, this establishment deserves a star, it was simply awesome, the table service was slick and I’d highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love coming to this restaurant!! They do the best burgers during the week and the best roasts on a Sunday!! I recently visited with my mum and we ordered a £16 bottle of white wine only to be served a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from Lidl normally costing £4.99. I know profit has to be made on every product but I felt a bit conned on this occasion.

We visited this restaurant twice in the last fortnight, it is under new ownership. On the first visit my husband and I ordered a full breakfast. Service was very quick and the food was delicious, with good quality ingredients. Today my daughter and I had lunch. I chose the lemon chicken risotto and she the chicken and broccoli spaghetti with a side of onion rings. The food and service were superb, although the onion rings were a little on the greasy side. Reasonably priced at £34 for two, although portions could easily be a little smaller and a couple of pounds cheaper. Would thoroughly recommend eating here.

Just got home from a really lovely evening. A Really friendly and fab service from the staff and delicious food. My husband and I had steaks which were cooked to perfection! Our daughter had a pesto pasta linguine which she also loved.

This is a lovely place to eat, the atmosphere is great with people chatting over their meals, the waitresses are friendly and helpful, the music is low and unobtrusive in the background. I have been here a number of times and enjoyed each visit.

The manager is so professional. A great welcome . Ordered the pork belly. The chef should have Michelin stars. Perfect. Great tasty dish and cooked to perfection. Good portions. Cannot fault it. The parfait to succeed was a dream. So so good! I ordered as a takeaway for both. The manager even brought the hot covers to the car. Far beyond the call of duty . Do not pass by. A gem of a restaurant in bridgwater. You won't get better. No negatives only full of positives. I've had far worse in Michelin graded restaurants . Support them peeps

Wild rocket is a cafe grill bar located in high street in Bridgwater the breakfast they serve on the menu is very good quality u get top food served up with out the price tag u will be greeted by great staff angel Bella holly just to name a few who are always there to help should you require assistance with anything they have a fantastic range of lunches and evening meals available there menu changes on a regular basis so there always something new to try u always get assistance if u have any special requirements and they will do there very best accommodate if they can this place is very popular so sometimes just give them a ring and book so as not to be disappointed so if it is breakfast lunch evening meals then this is the top place in town to go just as much as it’s sister restaurant the green olive that is situated at west quay that like the wild rocket is top quality at affordable prices the green olive is more Turkish inspired food but is very very good and owners and staff alike are great people so go on give them a try if u r ever in Bridgwater steve

Vistiited here a few days ago for lunch with work colleagues, staff was super friendly and nothing was a problem and the food was delicious! Came out very quick and was piping hot!

I have eaten at Wild Rocket a few times and been impressed by the friendliness of the staff and their helpfulness around my food exclusions. Really great food, a treat in this area! Also a great menu that changes regularly so there's often something new and equally delicious to try! Love it!

This place we came to multiple times , it is always amazing , the food quality is better than any other restaurant i have been to . The presentation is 5 star and the taste is 5 star to so i definitely recommend coming here .

Visited for evening menu. Welcomed by manager and choice of where to sit. Menu has good selection and plenty of choice. Presentation of food was fabulous and recommended wine was perfect. Ambience of restaurant just right and waitress very professional and attentive.

Called in for a takeaway of the pan fried sea bass. The new manager is very impressive. Very professional, knows how to meet and greet and very knowledgeable about restaurants and hospitality. A very good communicator and a pleasure to be served by him. Order taken and was told it would be a 20 mins wait. Spot on with timing . Good was brought out by chef who again was very polite and professional. The fish was excellent so was the crushed potato. The flavour from the bisque was superb. Can most certainly recommend and will be returning. Nothing was too much trouble and with the new manager at the helm I foresee this restaurant going far.

Recommendation of a passer by for lunch with friends on a wet Friday. Warm reception at this busy venue with one table available. Adequate range of choices for both food and drinks on sensibly priced menu. Service was friendly, professional and not rushed. The dishes were well presented, portions were generous and all was well cooked.

Greeted well and very friendly polite and able staff. Had chicken and pork belly roasts. Ample portions and good selection of vegetables. Clean premises and excellent decor. Only two negatives. The rind on the pork belly was not crisp and timing. In ordering was told it would be a wait of 10 mins and 15 mins max. It was 30 mins wait even with the waitress checking .

Visited one evening with a couple of friends it was my first visit here. The menu choice is different from The daytime one. The restaurant was quiet so we had a choice of tables. The waiter was very friendly and welcoming. We all opted for the vegetarian chickpea cakes and a good choice too. The presentation and the freshness of the dish was lovely and it tasted as good as it looked. As the main course was so nice we had to try a dessert. We were not disappointed, I had the Bailey's brownie and my friends had the berry crumble. We were really impressed with the quality of the food and the service we received. We would definitely recommend coming here and we shall look forward to visiting again.

I have to let you know how impressed we all we’re as a family dining here in the wild rocket restaurant. The customer service is excellent and go the extra mile x very impressed with the lunchtime special, excellent value and such amazing fresh produce. The food is off such high standard and the chef certainly knows how to cook and present food . It’s of a very high standard. Presentation is amazing and looks fantastic. Dessert was amazing and breakfast to die for . All waitresses are very polite and helpful x lovely clean restaurant and toilets immaculate. Would recommend to all . Overall a 5+ restaurant. Very accommodating to children. Will be making this a regular place to visit .

8 of us went to the Wild Rocket for lunch today. It was excellent. We had great service - we were welcomed in, asked if we wanted a drink when we came in and given menus. They knew it was a birthday celebration and so a birthday banner was on the table. We all had a main course - all very nice. 2 had ordered sweets but they came to ask who's birthday it was and asked what her favourite sweet was. She then had a complementary sweet with a candle and 3 waitresses sang 'happy birthday' to her - a great touch. It was busy in there but plenty of staff working.

Went here for lunch while visiting Bridgwater for an antiques auction. Excellent service, friendly yet unobtrusive, best omelette I've ever tasted. Highly recommended.

Friendly service, wasn't sure if it would be suited for a family visit as thought maybe more for couples but very accommodating to our young children.

Yesterday I called into the Wild Rocket for lunch, the staff were friendly and very helpful, as a lady with mobility problems and use a walker, they were able to find me some where to sit without any problems. I ordered the beef burger with chunky chips and it was excellent, hot and very tasty. I would recommend the Wild Rocket highly.

My friend and I went for dinner the other night . I Chose to have the 2 course meal. Was to die for. I Had sea bass , crushed potatoes and vegetables. For dessert I had chocolate fondant. The main was Amazing, seabass was very well cooked and enjoyable on the pallet. The dessert was scrummy. Thanks wild rocket. I've booked in to come again!

Decided to have Sunday lunch at the Wild Rocket on the spur of the moment. I have to say that the roast beef lunch is one of the best I have had in recent times, the food was hot, tasty and plentiful. The price was very reasonable and the service was extremely good.

First time I have tried this cafe / restaurant for lunch and it was excellent. It is connected to the Green Olive restaurant also in Bridgwater so I should have guessed at its quality right from the start.

So we went to the Wild Rocket for our Christmas Day lunch, and we had an amazing experience! Not only was the food absolutely first class, the attention to detail, happy and relaxed staff, incredible atmosphere! The best Christmas Day meal we have ever had out, so impressed we immediately booked up for next year! Can not praise the staff enough for a wonderful day

Wild Rocket is a lovely local restaurant in the centre of my town and the staff are very helpful and loyal. The food served is excellent and would suggest it to anyone including friends and family

I was there a few times I’m always happy to back Last time on the random date with my boyfriend we enjoy the visit once again. Plates were very well presented, food really tasty. Every time there I’m having a good time with friends because the place has a great atmosphere and professional service.
