Excellent pizzas at Freshwater Bay, eaten by the Travelling Tavern on a sunny evening. Difficult to beat! Great price too. Highly recommended.

We are regular visitors to the pizza van in summer. Best location by the sea at freshwater bay. Nothing better than sharing tasty pizzas freshly cooked by Josh on the beach after a swim or paddle with the grandchildren . Good value and tasty.

Lovely venue….sunny eve on the beach as always and pub bus. However not up to last years standards; ordered 9 pizzas and we were all a bit disappointed by the quality of the food this time round. Not much topping on any of our pizzas and the veg one was particularly sparse. All a bit unimaginative . Prices kept down but quality has deteriorated I fear. Hopefully it was a one off.

Pre ordered pizza with Josh to collect from Yarmouth, good communication. Best homemade take out pizza I’ve ever had. Freshly cooked & plenty of tasty toppings. Will definitely be back for another pizza on my next visit to the Island.

A great find! So much so, we always make sure to visit everytime we’re on the island. Josh is really friendly and the pizza is excellent. So much better than any pizza restaurant I’ve been too, I love the different van locations, which offers a new view each time. Excellent customer service, easy to prebook and great communication . We’ll worth a visit and brilliant for all ages.

Wow. It shouldn't be possible to make pizza as superb as this in a (very cool) food truck. I'd heard about it went tonight - twice. Had the pepperoni and olives and also today's special which was blue cheese, tomato and spinach, both were literally excellent. I've had pizza that was as good in London and obviously Italy too, but if you're into Dominos big, doughy things don't bother. If you're into what I would call "real" pizza then you'll love it. Thin, crispy, enough dough to give a chew, crisp blisters, whilst cooking, wood fired - just superb. You just will not get pizza anywhere near as good as this in Yarmouth, not even close. They're only here once a week on the harbour. My buddy and I enjoyed them so much we WhatsApped them and ordered the same again. At eight quid a pop I cant fault them 10 out of ten across the board

We've used Wightwood many times over the years, but with new ownership, Josh has taken island Pizzas to a new high. Delicious wood fired pizzas, at very reasonable prices.

Just so good. Thin crust, perfectly cooked, gorgeous toppings. My boyfriend said it was the best pizza he’d had in his life. And is there anything more lovely than having pizza on the beach? We’ll definitely be back

We took advantage of Wightwood pizza when they visited Grange Farm campsite. Great pizzas with some unusual specials. Very reasonably priced. Make sure you book in advance as they are very popular and have cash as they are cash only.

We always get wight wood pizza when they visit Grange Farm. We’ve never been disappointed and always look forward to it. They’re really happy to make veggie options, but book in advance as they get very busy!

Really impressed with this company . I texted through an order and received a prompt acknowledgement and my pizzas were ready and waiting at the arranged time with my name on. Really lovely gluten free pepperoni and olive pizza . My partner had an ordinary base mushroom and ham and raved about his too. He does not usually love pizzas so quite an accolade. If you are in Yarmouth on a Thurs Eve I thoroughly recommend this!! So glad we saw the advert and remembered to order and v lucky it was close to our holiday cottage!

Friendly local Italian in Carisbrooke which was walking distance from our holiday let so we gave it a try. Overall a pleasant enough dinner, £23 bottle of Sauvignon properly chilled, attentive service, free bread. Decor is rather dated though not as off-putting as photos had suggested, the pasta dishes were tasty and - oddly perhaps - came with a choice of salad or vegetables. The latter (including roast potatoes) would seem more fitting with a Sunday roast than a plate of penne but were nicely cooked and great if you want to really fill up. My chicken with pepper and seafood was a disappointment - somewhat dry chicken breasts in a gravy that wasn't nearly as rich as one might have hoped and generally lacked flavour despite some interesting ingredients. Perhaps I was unlucky. Certainly the place seemed popular and maybe I should have had a pizza.

Michelangelo in Ryde is a must-visit for Italian cuisine lovers. This family-run restaurant near the seafront offers an authentic dining experience with delicious dishes, warm hospitality, and a cozy atmosphere. The menu boasts a variety of Italian classics, from freshly made pasta to wood-fired pizzas and indulgent desserts like tiramisu. The flavors are rich and authentic, with standout dishes such as their seafood pasta and perfectly crisp pizzas. The restaurant’s rustic decor creates a charming, traditional Italian vibe, perfect for family meals, romantic evenings, or gatherings with friends. The service is exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who ensure a memorable experience. Their knowledge of the menu and wine pairings enhances the overall enjoyment. For a taste of Italy on the Isle of Wight, Michelangelo is the place to go. Great food, welcoming staff, and a lovely ambiance make it an unforgettable dining destination.
