We wanted Pina Poke take away, we were prepared to collect but they only do delivery which was great, less than half an hour and the food was great. Had a salmon meal and the fresh fish was gorgeous

First visit to Whittles since their new Pina Poke residency & what a treat! Delicious food 🍱 with lots of choice from poke bowls to katsu burger & chips. Beautifully presented & served piping hot, with colourful ingredients & homemade side sauces. Partnered with fun themed cocktails, presented in a parrot, a pineapple, or shell glass with fresh fruit. A really fun environment with great food & service. We cannot wait to try the other items on the menu & have already booked to return for the popular monthly quiz night & the Valentines eve menu. If you like tasting the colours of the rainbow 🌈 in a vibrant atmosphere get yourself down there! 💛

Great food with great value. Perfectly compliments the crisp cold drinks. Service was good and fast, with the food coming out quickly and the drinks being made quickly to order.

We have just been to Whittles with our friends to celebrate The Coronation and had booked ‘The Afternoon Tier’ I booked for 4 people. We were extremely disappointed that for four of us we only had one tier. It was £14.95 for 1x sausage roll, 1x piece of quiche,1x scone& cream and x1 small ramakin size bowl of strawberries between 2. So this cost £59.80 for 4 people. No sandwiches and exceptionally expensive for what we received. I very rarely check my bill in detail but was amazed that this was the cost, I knew what it was advertised as but not for the very small amounts of food. There really should have been x2, tea was not included this was extra as well. We all live locally and had a lovely time as we finished and sat outside, however we do visit regularly but not sure we will be returning for food ? The service and staff were very good . However We unfortunately left feeling like we had been taken advantage of with the excessive prices for what we received! If we had known the small amount of food we definitely wouldn’t have booked, we were the only people in the restaurant.

What a disappointment . Extremely slow service even though only people (party of6) in the restaurant but the waitress was pleasant. The food was a disaster. 3 portions of ham egg and chips were served with ham curled up at end , so thin and 2 slices. Should have been thrown away. Pile of chips and one egg lathered in oil so overcooked inedible. We were so hungry now so asked for one egg to be replaced only to be given egg now uncooked and asked for terribly cooked egg to be returned off the plate! One of these orders had the pleasure of a large hair in the meal . The cheese portion to share was not enough for one at a terrible price and pate looked like it had been tipped straight out of a supermarket packet with a portion of toast. Well guess that’s ok but not at the price charged! What a shame as restaurant is beautifully decorated but the chef should be ashamed to serve this food and the prices are much too high.

We visited whittles for a Sunday roast and were not disappointed. It was the perfect portion size and it was a nice simple menu that wasn’t overwhelming to read. We visited with family including our 8 month old baby who was very fussy and unsettled as my dinner arrived. The lovely waitress Jayne deserves a special mention, as they were quiet she offered to take the pushchair for a spin around the restaurant so I could eat my dinner before it got cold. The food was delicious and the restaurant itself was clean and tidy and had lovely decor. Thanks again we will definitely be returning!

What a lovely restaurant! The service was brilliant, there was a great atmosphere, the food was delicious and it was all brought out at the same time which was impressive as we were a group of 9. It had a very Instagram-able bar where we had a pre-dinner drink and then we were taken through to the restaurant which has stunning decor. Will 100% be going back as there were so many good choices on the menu so need to try them out!

I have had the pleasure of going to Whittles on various occasions, for a meal with family on Christmas eve, a meal with a group of colleagues, and for the quiz night. Every visit has been superb. The meal portions are a really good size and the food I had was homemade and delicious. I would highly recommend the curried cauliflower soup which is poured at your table and served with a unique twist of popadoms! Also the steak and ale pie which was full of flavour, loads of steak, and served with a side of extra super yummy gravy. In my opinion the food is really good value for money compared to other places in the local area and by far more tasty. The restaurant is spotlessly clean, glasses and cutlery are gleaming and it has lovely decor and a welcoming atmosphere. This is not a chain and the owners and staff really care about providing the best food and service to the local community and this shows. On our visit we had someone with a few dietary requirements which was also discussed and catered for. The menu has been reduced slightly (as with many businesses in this current climate) but there is still plenty of variation and the food is top quality. This is a little gem in Broadstone which we should continue to support!

We have been to Whittles many times and (until now) have never been disappointed. It used to be 'fine dining' - smallish portions but extremely tasty and well presented. Now it appears to have spiralled down to rather poor and overpriced 'pub grub', with a very limited menu. Our starters were fine, but the mains were terrible. Fish pie - no chunks of fish or seafood, just a glorified fishcake and quite dry. Fish and chips - inedible mushy peas dry and tasteless. Fish ok but batter tasteless, chips obviously the 'cooked from frozen' type. Beef pie, again lacking gravy/fluid so dry. To be blunt, we have had the same meals at Table Table and they run rings around the Whittles offering at 2/3 the cost. We noted plenty of empty tables (on a Saturday night), so management should perhaps take note, the restaurant seems to have lost its way.

We went on a busy Friday night, we had a pre dinner drink at our table as the bar was full. We had a really lovely meal, the steak and pepper sauce were delicious, the chips hot and crispy. The fish was also tasty. We shared cheese and biscuits too. The service was absolutely fine, and the art deco style decor is beautiful. My only suggestion would be that the steak needed to be rested before plating as the juices were coming out.

We came on a Sunday for a roast. Staff were lovely, but the menu was very limited. They only offered different roasts (chicken, beef, nut), fish and chips, and a burger. That’s it for the mains. Plus the roast I had was the smallest roast I have ever had. All what was on my plate was chicken, three soft potatoes, a carrot stick, a Yorkshire pudding and a parsnip. And that cost £12 something. My mum accidentally made a small mess on the table and we hoped for a member of staff to help and clean the table. The waitress saw the mess while collecting the plates, but decided not to take action. Very disappointed as I know this restaurant can do better than this.

We stopped by on the off chance. Although the main restaurant was booked they very kindly allowed us to eat in the bar area. The staff seemed pleasant and we're very quick to take our order. We ordered nut roasts as that was the only vegan option on the menu. However the cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire pudding that they normally include had to be omitted. The food was very tasty but the portions were extremely small! Part of the plate being taken up by a jug of gravy. I did ask the waitress if we could perhaps have some extra veggies to make up for the fact that we didn't have the cauliflower and yorkshire and she did oblige. I felt a bit guilty but technically we had paid for them😳 In conclusion, this is a lovely restaurant. Lovely and clean but very small portions and lack of cruelty free options on the menu.

So, So Poor, Unfortunately. Large family gathering today. Turkey: Absolutely Stone-Cold. Yorkshire Puddings: Totally Cremated. Nut Roast: Absolutely Tiny!!! And Odd Tasting. Gravy: Very Average at best. Soup: Dreadful. Had a quiet word with the lady in charge; explaining all of the above and that I’m sorry but I have to be honest; it’s all been extremely disappointing. Anyway, - I said I’d appreciate it if she could look at the bill for us as obviously it’s been a very poor experience for us. 10% Off the bill. - Hence why I’m writing this now; - if they’d been decent about it, we may have returned - and I wouldn’t have come here to write such a poor review but 10% is derisory and a pathetic effort. 1st and last time wasting our money here. Spend less money on the silly decor and more attention on getting your food up to scratch because today was horrendous.

Disclaimer. I have never been to this museum. I've been to Poole many times in the past but not for a few decades. So why am I posting a review? See the attached image which appeared on Reddit today and I'm doing my best to distribute the awesome wholesomeness this museum promotes. When I do go to Poole next, this museum will be my first port of call.

Was invited to a wedding reception if I had known I wouldn't have gone I assumed it would be held in a separate function room not in the beer garden outside and amongst all the smokers not impressed I am afraid.
