Been to this lovely traditional pub for the last 2 weeks. Booked for a Sunday Lunch today and was not disappointed. Staff are so welcoming and informative. The whole place is immaculately clean. Optied for a small Sunday Dinner and it was very plentiful. Looking forward to going back and trying other Home Cooked food. Will be back very soon

Love this pub. I wish I'd found it years ago, better late than never though. Rarely do you find a proper boozer in these strange times but here's one. Rarely do you find a pub that caters for everyone and pulls it off with aplomb. Pool Table, Live Sport, Great Drinks, Superb Food, Not Expensive AND Friendly Staff! You can stay here too! I used to always head to Poole Quay when visiting the town but not anymore. This is the best pub in Poole, make no mistake!

We stayed here for one night in May, before catching the ferry to Cherbourg in the morning. It is ver convenient for the ferry terminal. We had a good night in a [fairly basic] en-suite room. We didn't eat there in the evening, but the bar food looked good. Man United were playing Chelsea on a big-screen tv in the bar. We left too early for breakfast

We called in today for lunch (a Thursday lunchtime) We pulled into their car park and a very brusque man who clearly wasn't happy about us being there told us in no uncertain terms "we aren't open today" Well maybe you should make that clear with a proper website and barriers blocking off your car park.

Not a well known pub locally. In a bizarre location with a traffic light to exit the free carpark. Have to say the bed was the best bed (other than my own) I've slept in on a short break. The room was clean, the owners lovely and the ease of walking to Poole old town was great. I'd recommend this place to anyone that wants to stay in Poole for a day or two. Will definitely return. Brownsea Island ferry is on the Quay. A short walk from the hotel. This is why we will stay again. Great place

A lovely old school pub. Haven't eaten there yet but it sounds as though the food is very good at real un-inflated prices. Good beer also at good prices. Will definitely be back.

We were a party of 8 adults celebrating a family birthday. Absolutely first class roast dinner with roast potatoes like my mum made and 5 different vegtables and plenty of meat and gravy. Aswell as tasting lovely it was unbelievable value for money at £8.95! Large choice of lovely desserts all served with a smile. Will definitely be back.

Stayed for 2 nights in the same room (1), as before. Nice and spacious with the most comfortable of beds and a strong shower in the en-suite. Food is very good, cooked to order and very reasonably priced. The pub can get busy with locals who we've always found friendly and welcoming. The Queen Mary is on a busy road and has a car park. Secondary glazing ensures a good nights sleep whilst its location is just a 3 minute walk to the middle of the High Street. We are sure to return.

As can be seen by the 3 most recent reviews I am not alone in finding the attitude of the management and staff at this venue rude, arrogant, ignorant, discriminatory, unhelpful and most unwelcoming. Heaven help you if you need anything from them, unless your face fits of course! It's such a shame as this is a prime location for a delightful looking little inn that should welcome residents of Poole and visitors alike. However, as can be seen by the nature of the replies to the last 3 reviews I'm afraid my point is proven. Such a shame.

Booked just a couple ignored days before. A very good price compared to other accommodation in the area. Very easy to find and also has parking available. The pub was very nice inside; lots of friendly locals in drinking. All staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was large and clean. Shower worked great and although we were above the bar there were no noise issues. Location was also good with it only being 5 minute walk into town or to the quay. We had breakfast in the morning whichWas excellent valueWould recommend and would go back again

There are 3 guest rooms here at the top of the pub. Rooms were clean and tidy. Very impressed with fan in the room and bottled water as well as tea/coffee facilities. This is handy for the Quays and the High street. It has a car park, if you get in early. Breakfast is cooked to your liking and served in the bar. They do cheap Sunday lunches.
