White Swan Pub in Mid Sussex

This pub has permanently closed although it is still advertised on some hotel booking websites. There is no pub in the hotel, only a lounge bar and classic dinning restaurants.

If you are on a short overnight you have the White Swan Pub located within the CopThorne hotel. Small pub atmosphere with limited menu. It works for what it is.

We had an evening meal here and were not disappointed. It’s solid family food. Service was friendly and efficient. Lovely gardens too.

Great service, food and live sports! Pool table and conservatory over looking a large garden. Parking was free, and a great selection of drinks. perfect place to unwind after a long day at the office!

Menükarte seit Jahren unverändert, zum Teil geht nach einem Wochenende mit einer großen Veranstaltung am Montag und am Dienstag darauf das Essen aus.

One of the reasons for booking the Copthorne hotel was the pub next door on Google Maps...shame that this is part of the same hotel with the worst menu and beer selection I have seen in the last 2 weeks in the UK. Avoid at all costs...

Good bar food,can get busy ,especially if there is football on the tv.nice garden to eat (weather permitting)

Pretty standard pub grub on offer. Quality of the food and service were pretty average. Would recommend looking further afield if your staying in the hotel.

Used this hotel prior to flying out from Gatwick. My husband was served the wrong pie and it was so hard he couldn't get his knife through it. I had to eat my meal alone whilst another was cooked for him . My chicken burget wase tough and Luke warm. If you stay here then I suggest you eat elsewhere.

A nice place near Gatwick to get pint and some food. The service is good and the prices match the quality on offer. Definitely recommend!

It was a pleasant surprise to see this as part of the hotel, a lovely touch. better than just sitting in the hotel bar. Lovely grounds to sit in, food was lovely and plenty of choice. If I came back to the hotel I wouldn't eat anywhere else.

Stayed in hotel and came in here for a beer before going to the bistro for food. The John Smiths was cloudy and rancid and when I returned it to the bar the barman just didn't have a clue as to what to do. I heard one of the others ask whether the gas was off??? Unbelievable that they should have staff who have clearly no experience in pulling a decent pint, or how to solve issues. Was given a bottle (1/2 pint) instead, but no money back. no apology, just a look of disdain. Would use hotel again, but maybe use a different bar

Hi, we use this restaurant as part of our park and stay package when travelling from Gatwick airport. We have eaten here a few times and the food is more than adequate for a 1 night stop over. It's served hot and the portions are more than adequate. I would say the food is "pub grub" and not "a la carte" standard.

Food was extremely expensive and of very poor quality.Staff did not seem interested. Only ate there as staying at Copthorne prior to flying from Gatwick the next day. Whole experience not a patch on Crown Plaza near Heathrow

I had the burger and it was so over cooked that I could not even cut it. Then I ordered the lemon tart and it was a cheap packaged tart that either my husband or children would eat... the staff and the location are good though and the fish & chips meal was quite nice.

Monday evening 15th July and we had booked to stay at the Copthorne Hotel as we had to catch an early flight from Gatwick the next morning.
