Went to Tintern hoping for some lunch today and stopped at the tearooms at 1:45pm. Met with a surly, "We're not doing any more hot food" (at 1:45pm!?) so we asked for a sandwich. Met with a surly, "We're not doing those either" (at 1:45pm!?) Told, "You can have coffee and cake". No thanks, we wanted lunch. We were obviously a nuisance and unwanted. I've given a one because I can't give a zero. Don't bother with these tearooms, customers are obviously surplus to requirements.

Popped in here for a coffee with my partner. The coffee was excellent and the young lady who served us was someone who seemed determined to share a bit of sunshine.

Lovely looking tea room and shop near the Abbey but coffee not great and cakes mediocre, service not great either . Lovely feel to the cafe downstairs but coffee and food not good enough.

As we went past,I noticed an advert for scones .The cafe looked inviting.from outside But ,We went to see if there were space in the back room it seemed closed .We had expected service as it’s says it’s Tearooms but we were expected to queue up.I Asked for scones and tea ,tea made in cup with teabags rather than in a teapot ,and a scone. Was charge £5.50 ,I said that I thought the advert was £3.50 !!!I was rudely told No it says that’s the price for the scone with jam and cream. To me it was false advertising. The scone was homemade and very nice

Disappointed with my visit here today. My husband and I ordered 2 ice creams. His cornet was generously filled, but my tub had a very mean scoop in it. We asked the person who served us if he could top it up to the same size as the cornet, and was met with a curt, quite rude “That is the portion size” Had I not already paid I would have just walked out. Very poor customer service. It would have been 1 star, but the little ice cream I had was very yummy.

Gorgeous cakes, lovely coffee and my two teens had cooked breakfast and a toasted roll - all looked lovely and they really enjoyed their food. Staff are friendly and helpful and very informative. Will definitely be back!

We passed a cigarette smoking lady adjacent to the entrance. Went to the counter and waited for someone to come and serve us. After a few minutes the cigarette smoking lady appeared. We ordered a coffee and a hot chocolate, prior to ordering something to eat. We had to return the hot chocolate as it was hardly hot. They just refreshed it with hot milk as opposed to replacing it. We looked at the menu fancying a sandwich or roll.....but £9.50 for a ham and cheese roll.....no thank you. Such a shame as nice premises but never again.

We stopped in here for lunch whilst visiting Tintern. It’s just over the road from the car park, and right next to the Abbey so very handy location wise. Food was lovely and the staff were very friendly… visits from the local ducks and birds were very welcomed by my daughters.

This is a great cafe, delicious homemade cakes and fab bacon butties. It was warm, welcoming and good value. The staff were friendly and it was ideal to relax and catch up with friends after a walk, also dogs are welcome.

Friendly cafe/shop next to the Abbey. Have been several times recently for good bacon and egg rolls and coffee. Food cooked to order and menu now extended to include other breakfast items,

Met up with friends - lovely quick service and meal as expected (witherspoons norm) very busy and all of us had to congregate round a small table as single people nursing a pint sat in booths!!! Major criticism was air conditioning blowing straight on us and freezing - all woke up with colds this morning

Wow !!!! Youth club with alcohol ! Avoid , avoid , avoid on a Friday night if you want a drink in a grown up pub. Kids and I mean kids were being sold alcohol , pub full of teenagers . Two of my friends were waiting at bar to buy drinks (old school) but both experienced hassle down to the kids pushing and shoving , trying to get served was stressful. Ladies toilets full up constantly with young girls sitting on sink area , blocking the toilets .

Proper old style bohemian pub with multiple rooms of various sizes. Well worth a visit if you're in Abergavenny.
