We were a group of five and four of us had not been before but we all thought it was very good and a better than average venue. The breakfast was well cooked and served nicely and with unlimited refills of hot drinks included in a very modest price I can highly recommend.

So at the Whitehouse in scraptoft last night we Apparently took up too much staff time and there was too much "silly stuff" being ordered. The staff couldn't cope and asked us to leave after my other half argued back saying they should take the ‘silly things’ off the menu then 🤷 It was Joel the manager that asked us to leave because of the "silly things" being ordered lol Joel if you see this your an absolute sausage

Returned since for traditional breakfast and a BBQ chicken panini at lunch. Breakfast was great again hot and fresh, did not like the flavour of the baked beans though. Panini was the worst I've ever had so I wouldn't get that again. Small brownie and ice cream was a good portion size, tasty. Had lunch in the garden, lots of seating and shade available.

I had the Pasta Alfredo which was very disappointing. Presentation was terrible but the taste was worse. I've had better microwave meals from the supermarket. I know this is a basic Weatherspoons and the prices are cheap but this was by far the worst meal I've had whilst eating out.

Ones of the biggest and nicest beer gardens I've visited.

Food came out cold asked for fresh meal, but all they did was put it in the microwave, shocking

Food brilliant, large group but all food arrived on time. A good pud. Restaurant. Bar. (give the kids something?) seems as outside is also non smoking. Lol. Always enjoyable. Thank you

Raw chicken served, in front of the manager, who didn't even apologise, let alone offer the meal free !!!!

We absolutely love this place. We visited yesterday for a family breakfast. A huge pub with plenty of seating inside or out. We ordered our food and drinks from the app on my phone, which was quick and simple. The drinks were almost immediately brought to our table by a very friendly server. The breakfasts were all excellent and cooked to perfection and all piping hot and the fresh juices we had were all tasty and nicely chilled. This is the only Wetherspoons I have been to that has an open kitchen Which is always nice to see. All the servers are very efficient, polite and all have a nice friendly smile, they all look as though they enjoy working in this great pub. The only gripe we had which is absolutely no reflection on the pub, food or staff was one of the Lavazza hot drinks machines was out of order so there was quite a queue for the other machine. Will we be back ! Most definitely - see you next week.

Drove by The White House on our way to somewhere else, I don't remember where, it's not important to be honest. It was somewhere, that's all you need to now really. To be perfectly honest, at 8am on a Sunday morning, it was really rather good. There was virtually nobody else in the place and we had our choice of tables. It was all clean and tidy, smooth, alcohol free tables and comfortable chairs adorned the abysmally patterned carpet. The food delivered to our table by the smiling server were two very tasty traditional breakfasts all cooked almost to perfection. It was a good start to the day and our bacon fix was more than covered. The sausage, eggs, beans and toast finished off the plateful excellently. A couple of coffees set us up for the day in style. Recommended.

Had fish and chips it was the smallest fish I’ve ever seen I wished I had took a picture of it I reported it was told it’s half of what I was told a big fish, im telling you if that was half a big fish they must have cut a smaller one in half had I know it would be so tiny would not have ordered it others had lasagne and salad the lasagne was cold to like warm. I will not be eating there again poor food and luckwarm

We visited for my birthday and my sister's birthday. The service was quick and everyone enjoyed the food. I do recommend the fish and chips.

Came here for breakfast, standard spoons menu with excellent prices, had the small American breakfast which was great, free refills - decaf options, mocha was lovely. Everyone really happy with the food. Shame about sticky tables.

All wetherspoons pub's are great for the beer's. But the food here is shocking 😲. June 14th new burgers. Euro burgers. So we ordered 2. When they turned up. The waitress said the hash brown will be with you soon. Great start. Chips were cold. Burgers were burnt. Unfortunately the hash brown turned up after we'd eaten this rubbish. When you look around the pub. You can see there's not many people eating in there. Not going to bother again. Unlike there's a big improvement. R Thomson

Contradictory to some previous experiences, recent visits have been faultless. Efficient bar service, tables clear/clean of used plates/glasses/cutlery, Good food with a quick turn around, and mostly great hospitality from friendly, welcoming staff. Its always a pleasure to have the opportunity to have a drink and engage with some familiar staff when they are not on shift. Its a shame some of them smiley faces leave but wish you all the best in your future endeavours 😊.

Great service staff very friendly and helpful, I would recommend you book a table it gets very busy, We used the App to order food and drinks faster than queuing at the bar to order.

Nice to have fun with friends while drinking . Clean and good environment u feel like u R sitting in theatre . And one more thing washrooms were clean and appropriate it was really fantastic

Had my mother's 90th party in the annex .the young lady who was serving behind the bar went above and beyond to make our visit special, .I wish more places had team members like her the world would be better.please convey my thank to all staff involved.when I visit Leicester again I will definitely come to this place .

Looks lovely on the outside. Inside it’s very much a Wetherspoons. Had brunch. Was very tasty. 2 dishes and 2 drinks for £15 is great value.

I pop in here with a mate to see what it like after not going in here for a fair few years now. This now Weatherspoon pub has a lovely atmosphere and a great beer garden.This pub has been a public house and hotel since 1950, when it was bought by the Northampton Brewery Company. Until then, the Georgian-style building had been a private residence, built in 1928 for a Mr TH Crumbie. The stone for the White House came from Normanton Hall, demolished two years earlier. The Hall stood 25 miles away on the southern shore of what is now Rutland Water (a reservoir and popular tourist attraction created in the 1970s). A nice place and a good Weatherspoon pub.

Busy but managed to find a table, got the southern fried chicken burger for an adult and child and the only difference is we paid an extra 5 pounds for a bit of sauce.... staff were OK except for a lady with dark hair that was quite rude and obnoxious... hubby's burger was burnt, she just grabbed the plate and walked off... she looked like some form of management... she needs a customer service course and needs to learn to smile...

Great place for the family to meet and enjoy time together. Staff didn't seat us which I found strange we just merged two tables together and staff didn't say anything about it. Didn't know we could book a table either. You can order food and drinks via the app. The coffee machine is a great touch. The garden is huge!

To be objective (in spite of misgivings!) this charming venue serves a purpose for many. And. You can have a cheap, remarkably tasty machine coffee with refills or a very cheap soft drink like soda and lime with no pressure to spend more. Which you're probably then more likely to do

Great place for a group of friends to meet. Buzzing atmosphere on a Friday night - rammed! Quick service and affordable price. Lots.of drink choices . Food order came quickly and was hot . Friendly but busy staff. Satisfied party of 20, recommend booking for large groups.

This has to be the best wetherspoons I have ever been too. The Decor is stylish and modern and there is a garden outside to enjoy a beer in the summer or let the kids run around. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help, the Food is cheap and cheerful, and the deserts are to die for.

Sadly, nothing special about the food here. It's just about passable. Peas, for example, were boiled away to non existence. Shame really as venue and building are hugr but lovely. But the food could be so much better. Really disappointing that there is no roast on a Sunday. I won't be going back for food

Been up tonight to have meal for a birthday food was disgusting egg was snotty gammon was like water puddings tasted awful none of us finished our food as it was vile Will never eat there again cutlery was filthy had to wash it with baby wipe when I ask for clean cutlery staff was rude gave me more which was even dirtier

Steaks were grissley & disappointing. Staff are only interesting in delivering the meal, not complaints. Peas given to customer who made it clear they didn't want them & all 4 meals were cold.... Salad requested but meditterean salad was bought, but not requested. All in all, very disappointing... Two stars given because the 4 of us enjoy our company just not the food sadly.....

We love this pub as this is very local to us. We visited for a Christmas fair.

Walked in and was busy in the morning. They had their Christmas tree up which looked really nice and the atmosphere was good too. The service was good and the staff members were all friendly. We ordered a breakfast seen in the pictures and was very nice 👌🏽 I'd recommend that you visit this heritage site which has informative pictures placed on the walls which shows the history of the building and Leicester itself.

More like the shytehouse no one tending bar in main entrance which was heaving, so you have to walk all the way through dining area to get a drink loads of staff down there surely one can be spared to tend the other bar, use the app they said but I pay cash so that wasn't going to work. This place is the absolute pitts whom ever manages this place is not up to the job, you'd be hard pushed to get pissed here !!!! Zero from 10.

We visited The White House in August 2023. The pub is a beautiful 1920s building, with a huge and elegantly decorated interior with a variety of different seating areas. To the rear is a massive beer garden stretching around the side of the pub and to the front is the largest free car park we’ve encountered at a JD Wetherspoon pub yet! I use the app . I find the service good . Obviously when busy the tables are slow to be cleared . The curries are excellent this born out by the Asian clientele . Loads of space the garden affords private eating . There are plenty of gazebos should the weather turn inclement.

The guy behind the bar totally messed up my wife food order. None of the staff evened bothered asking if everything was OK.

Nice, weatherspoons. Menu is what you expect. Good value for money.

Service from the bar was an issue as they concentrated on app orders, to be fair when I eventually ordered food etc the young girl behind the bar was lovely, wished I'd asked her name for a name drop on here.. The food was ace, the dining area was clean and vibrant, the service poor... Stayed most the night...

Really busy but friendly pub called in here just for a quick meal even though it was busy and the staff apologising that the meal may take some time we was served within 15 minutes will visit again when in that area

Generally, it's a good Wetherspoons. However, the short Asian manager is beyond a jobsworth. The overweight short balding manager is so miserable it makes you want to drink more, could be a clever marketing ploy. Amazing selection of booze available. Food is the usual frozen affair, some of which is surprisingly tasty. It's a bit too expensive for what it is. ** The food has gone down hill massively, such a lack of consistency. The best item IMO on the main menu is the pizza, of which are even slightly cooked or burnt to a crisp. This site has become one of the worst for food quality, I don't order food from here anymore

a very regular visitor to Wetherspoons in wigston oadby and various other Wetherspoons around the country I've always found Wetherspoons good quality and affordable and look forward to trying new items on the menu. At the white house I tried the new fiesta breakfast . it arrived with a absolutely cold mushroom and very cold poached egg . I tried a small piece of the halloumi it was ok but hardly warm so I asked for the breakfast to be returned . it came back with a luke warm mushroom a very overdone egg a very small portion of halloumi about half the size of the original.hardly any avocado the toast wasn't hardly toasted and the chopped tomato and onion was in big chunks obviously hurriedly done . I was so disappointed . this is the second time I've tried the white house and both times the food was disastrous. I will not be returning . it's a let down to the Wetherspoons chain . I will be continuing to use other Wetherspoons though.
