Wether spoons what more can I say. Lots of seating and disabled lift and access.

A really popular local pub with a large garden. Service was swift and efficient. Highly recommended.

One of the best in the country. The kitchen is quick, and very rarely gets anything wrong. The staff in general are nice and the building itself is beautiful. It's a little more expensive than the ones in the city, but it's worth it to keep this place open and trading.

We visited for Mothers day at 4pm. We were our table was in the suite & somone could take us over. As we had a few people still arriving, we waited at the table near the front doors. As we were waiting another member of staff asked if we were OK. I mean it was really busy, but yet the staff were brilliant. In the suite a young serviced who was very polite. She was replaced by Tody. He was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble & he was super friendly. He told me he's worked late the day before & this was about 5.30pm by then & he still was delivering service like this. Only thing which was to be a negative is the food. Kids pizza wasn't great, my burger was slightly over cooked & the deserts weren't hot. Please improve the food as it seems to have dropped off in recent visits but the customer service is first class. Thank you for an overall enjoyable experience.

Fuimos a almorzar hoy y que almuerzo tan impactante fue de penique y una media docena de papas fritas eran más de £ 9 con una bebida .. y un envoltorio de pollo con la misma cantidad de papas fritas £ 7 pero yo podría haber dicho que mi nieto de 12 años podría haber hecho mejor 2 trozos muy pequeños de pollo y 3 hojas de ensalada cuando se lo señalamos al gerente de turno ese día ella trajo más papas fritas pero cuando señalé que el estándar de la comida era impactante 😳😳😳😳 con un encogimiento de hombros ella dijo que sí estoy de acuerdo, bueno, seguramente no debería dejar que salga en ese estándar y entonces no estoy seguro si los ventiladores habían ido a la cocina, pero olíamos como si hubiera estado en un café de cuchara grasienta ... . IMPACTANTE

Bit disappointed friend ordered jacket potatoes with extra cheese and beans... was very small. Member of staff said yes reque and get them to do it?? Que was huge and food would get cold...shame really. Seemed like a lovely place

Love the food choice here. Menu is amazing. Lots of lovely food especially for people like me who love spicy food. Compared to other pubs ones of the best menus I have seen.

Overall, it was a good experience, although I had to ask the staff to clean our table. I'm still a bit shocked that they didn't accept my Scottish Pounds as legal tender, so be minfull of that if you have any Scottish notes and think you can use them here.

We ordered food and drinks for table 5 but after ordering the order they came up with they are running out of stock for drinks so we asked them to cancel the order but they said they can only refund for drinks not food which is completely unacceptable. Behaviour not good for the customers as well.

Been going here for years and years and years. As of recent the food is very hit and miss, more miss then hit at the moment. The drinks often don't make it to your table either. Would be nice to see this place back to where it once was (for a spoons)

A little bit disappointed on this visit. Went for my annual Burns meal but there was no whisky sauce or Scottish ale to enjoy with my Caledonian burger.

The Best Wetherspoons and my favourite!! Great atmosphere!! Love the multiple log fires!! Make it feel cosy and a great choice of beers!! Been here a few times and I will carry on coming back!!! Great price on food and drink!! The eggs Benedict is a bargain!!! And taste amazing!! Keep up the good work!!

Food and atmosphere was good but service given was really bad they don’t deal with the customers with politeness when asked they just ignored and started to fight with the customer and made arguments. We just asked for a beer glass they just declined and misbehaved with us.We were a regular customer.They kicked out us and declined the order we made as we were only they customer and they wanted to close the pub early as it wasn’t even 10:15 pm.So i think the employees need to be trained how to make customers happy as customer are source of income source for the business.More training and experienced employees should be heired by the pub to keep their images.

Estuvimos aquí en Nochevieja. Fue excelente. Reservamos una mesa tenía un tiempo fantástico. Estaba tan bien organizado, a las 11. 50 nos aconsejaron que nos moviéramos a ver la televisión. Tuvimos un tiempo maravilloso.

I would like to add some context to the lovely Singhs as I was there tonight and witnessed everything. After receiving their bottle of beer, instead of politely asking someone for a glass or perhaps, going to the bar for one they decided the most logical thing to do was to bang their existing glass in the table like a medieval king or perhaps a child that hasn’t been taught manners. After being politely asked to stop doing that and a new glass being brought over to them, they decided to start yelling and causing a scene. The manager then asked them to leave as the pub was now closed as it was after 11pm - I know this as I had also been asked to leave. They realised they weren’t getting very far with this argument so decided to call him a racist and started being verbally abusive toward staff and customers, as they could not fathom that he and the rest of the staff just did not want to be harassed. Surprisingly they did leave; with much more shouting and then had a photoshoot with the Christmas tree in the car park. It was an odd/ entertaining sight for us spectators however, I imagine stressful for the staff. What a way to ring in the New Year! Some people should stay home if their parents never taught them manners ❤️

Boxing day morning breakfast treat for myself and my partner and it didn't disappoint. Food was delicious and place was cosy and friendly. Will definitely return soon.

Definitely the best spoons in Leicestershire. Nice atmosphere with a fireplace and friendly staff. Never had trouble with parking either.

Ordered a coffee (unlimited refills) and the service was friendly.

Terrible Christmas Dinner unacceptable to serve a plate of disgusting processed meat, sloppy tiny little lumps of Vegetables mainly peas some mash & a stuffing ball Please do not attempt the Christmas Dinner it's awful - they need to improve the dish & I'm sure many will complain Disappointed & disgusting plate of food

Always great staff, good food and a great atmosphere

Nice atmosphere and very busy pub. However, the food i had wasn't so great. The patties were without flavor. The servers are ever busy but still stop when you ask questions. For a busy time in the evening, I believe all payment points should have someone and not let people queue up with just 1 or 2 staff to take the orders, when you have 4 ordering and paying points.

Salí con mi esposa y 2 niños para una bebida y comida para los niños sin saber incluso cuando trajimos las bebidas del bar con mi hija a las 9. 30 pm que los niños no están permitidos después de las 10 pm. La persona que me despidió en el bar ni siquiera me dijo que no puedo quedarme con mis hijos después de las 10 pm de lo contrario me habría ido antes. Tan mal servicio y recomiendo totalmente si tienes hijos para ir antes de las 10 pm. Por favor, no cometas el error que cometimos.

Wow what a hidden gem in Leicester, great location, excellent staff and menues

Had breakfast at the White House and it was very tasty. I love the way they serve the hot chocolate as a lolly on a stick and then you just add hot milk or water. The breakfast prices are affordable, my only fault is they are very stingy with the beans portion. Other than that I would eat there again.

Love this spoons! There is an area that there that is always nice and quiet. It was busier than usual on the Saturday when we went but generally this is a really nice spoons as they have seating outside too in the summer.

Good value meal, great service, especially given the size of our group. All the food came out hot and at the same time.

Was passing through and needed to get something to eat. The building is massive with plenty of parking. Ordered gammon and chips it didn't take long to arrive the staff were friendly and helpful 👍

I originally reviewed this pub as a 5 star however after a dismal breakfast today I needed to down grade it. Me & my husband ordered shashuka- which was cold when served. I spoke to waitress who apologised & took it back to which it was returned on same plate ( I had cut a piece of egg & left on side as was slimey- I'd asked for well done eggs as can't eat under cooked eggs) decided to raise my concerns with " duty mananger" who stood with his arms crossed & seemed dis-interested in my comments-he also stated that all meals were served on spec. Interesting feedback. The family on the next table also had issue with their breakfast being served cold & informed us as they left they got a full refund- we just wanted a sincere apology... we have been visiting this pub weekly for the last 15 years. We have reported this to head office.

Wetherspoons have gone down greatly in quality and quantity of their meals. And prices have steadily risen! The White House is a nice looking building.staff are good. Atmosphere is good always busy! Carpets are a bit sticky.

£1 more for a small breakfast than most other Wetherspoon pubs

This is a lovely old building with a lot of character. Food and drink are normal JD Wetherspoons fayre of course.

Good food and atmosphere, chicken dish very good

I liked it as it was much better than the average Wetherspoons in terms of location and environment. There's a lovely beer garden for warmer days. We had a very lovely time and would definitely visit again with friends.

Both our big breakfast and eggs Benedict came with over cooked eggs. Bread was dry and bacon was like chewing the menu.

Was mediocre, would recommend the pizzas highly enjoyed them, just not the chips and Southern fried chicken strips!

Así que en la Casa Blanca en scraptoft anoche aparentemente ocupamos demasiado tiempo del personal y había demasiadas "tonterías" que se ordenaban. El personal no pudo hacer frente y nos pidió que nos fuéramos después de que mi otra mitad se defendió diciendo que deberían quitar las ‘cosas tontas’ del menú entonces 🤷 Fue Joel el gerente quien nos pidió que nos fuéramos por las "tonterías" que se ordenaban jajaja Joel si ves esto como una salchicha absoluta

You know what you will get at a Wetherspoons; a good selection of cheap drinks, and pretty decent affordable food. Service is quick too.

The White House is a very nice upmarket wetherspoons in a former country house. There is a wide range of beers lager and cider, including four cask conditioned hand-pulled real ales at very cheap prices. The ones we sampled were in excellent condition. The stakes and burgers were excellent, and the service was quick and friendly. There is outside seating and a large car park. A vista to this great pub is highly recommended.

The exterior is attractive, built from stone street the demolition of a nearby hall. The interior is smart, with some walls panelled, and comfortable seating. There is plenty of outdoor seating too. The food was easy to order and brought to the table promptly. The serve-yourself unlimited coffee was definitely worth going back for a second mug full. Staff were friendly and efficient, including getting a piece of scrap paper for us to write on, when we asked for some. Would definitely recommend breakfast menu, or one of the special day drink+food discounts, and unlimited coffee.

Volví desde entonces para el desayuno tradicional y una barbacoa de panini de pollo en el almuerzo. El desayuno era genial de nuevo caliente y fresco, no me gustó el sabor de las judías horneadas. Panini fue el peor que he tenido así que no volvería a tenerlo. Brownie pequeño y helado era un buen tamaño de porción, sabroso. Tuvimos almuerzo en el jardín, un montón de asientos y sombra disponible.

I had the Pasta Alfredo which was very disappointing. Presentation was terrible but the taste was worse. I've had better microwave meals from the supermarket. I know this is a basic Weatherspoons and the prices are cheap but this was by far the worst meal I've had whilst eating out.

Impressive building with extensive beer garden. The pricing on the APP compared to the menu was really confusing and as I was unable to order on the APP, I had to queue for over 20 minutes at the bar and there were few staff serving so not great. The barmaid tried to explain the difference in pricing on the APP but was really struggling.

We absolutely love this place. We visited yesterday for a family breakfast. A huge pub with plenty of seating inside or out. We ordered our food and drinks from the app on my phone, which was quick and simple. The drinks were almost immediately brought to our table by a very friendly server. The breakfasts were all excellent and cooked to perfection and all piping hot and the fresh juices we had were all tasty and nicely chilled. This is the only Wetherspoons I have been to that has an open kitchen Which is always nice to see. All the servers are very efficient, polite and all have a nice friendly smile, they all look as though they enjoy working in this great pub. The only gripe we had which is absolutely no reflection on the pub, food or staff was one of the Lavazza hot drinks machines was out of order so there was quite a queue for the other machine. Will we be back ! Most definitely - see you next week.

Drove by The White House on our way to somewhere else, I don't remember where, it's not important to be honest. It was somewhere, that's all you need to now really. To be perfectly honest, at 8am on a Sunday morning, it was really rather good. There was virtually nobody else in the place and we had our choice of tables. It was all clean and tidy, smooth, alcohol free tables and comfortable chairs adorned the abysmally patterned carpet. The food delivered to our table by the smiling server were two very tasty traditional breakfasts all cooked almost to perfection. It was a good start to the day and our bacon fix was more than covered. The sausage, eggs, beans and toast finished off the plateful excellently. A couple of coffees set us up for the day in style. Recommended.
