Contracted food poisoning from the chicken katsu main meal. Food was undercooked and service was also as bad.

Had a lovely lunch with my husband on Friday afternoon which we really enjoyed. Our server Tasmin was extremely pleasant and polite what a lovely lady. Will visit again as good food and good service.

The product quality is consistently outstanding, exceeding my expectations every time, and I was completely impressed with their customer service that is second to none. The atmosphere of the pub here is always inviting and comfortable and their staff are always friendly. Pricing is fair and transparent - definitely value for money.

2 stars, the glasses were dirty, the plates were dirty, the cutlery was dirty and the food looked like school food. Soem taps in toilet didnt work, really unkept pub. Don't know if it was just the day but I don't recommend coming here. Other food may be better but DONT GET THE ROAST. The mac n cheese was delicious though.

A wide variety of drinks for all tastes. This is the blueprint that all pubs should be based on .... if it had karaoke I'd be here every week! 5* all day. On a visit to this pub for some lunch, we was welcomed by young girl called Tilly I think who was very helpful and toke our drinks order while we decided what to order and explained we could use the app or order at the bar. Once we sat down after a few minutes we was then welcomed by a friendly lady called kelly who helped us decide what we would like and helped with are dietary requirements very well. The food then come out very quickly and it tasted amazing. Thank you very much and we will be back soon.

Food is always good if the boss is on duty. The service and staff always makes visiting the pub a fun experience. Menu choices and daily deals are extensive and varied. Thanks chef for a steak cooked to perfection. I would always recommend this fun pub for meals and the convenient and ample parking available. I would also recommend a night out at The White Horse when local DJs play. A opportunity to dance and sing makes for an excellent Night. 13/07/2023 I had a really lovely dining experience this evening at this fabulous pub! I couldn't be bothered to cook this evening and so decided to go check out the new menu advertised online. Being a Thursday, the deal was a free starter or dessert with any dish from the Super specials section of the menu. I had Halloumi strips for starters. I found them very salty for my taste and I didn't really find the quantity value for money at £5.29 had it not been for the Thursday deal. I chose the newly introduced Jerk chicken. Although it wasn't authentic in flavours, it was absolutely delicious, well cooked and nicely presented. Consisting of about four wings and half a chicken and on the bone. A reasonable effort was made to create the authentic "rice and peas" but it didn't come close. Having said that it tasted very nice with it's black beans and delicate and mild spices and colour. It was more akin to a Mexican rice than Caribbean. All this was accompanied by a delicious a tasty fresh homemade coleslaw. I would still definitely recommend it! I also took the opportunity to ask about the changes to the Wednesday deal on wine. Formally £5 a bottle, there's been a huge increase of £2.99 which to me has taken the 'great bargain of a deal' element out of the offer now at £7.99 The atmosphere was excellent as usual. The outside seating area was just as busy as indoors. It was so lovely to see groups of tourists, language Students and Pensioner groups enjoying the wonderful menu, big screen sports viewing and subtle background music. My servers this evening were Chloe and Jess. Who despite the peak of the busy period, were true professionals in their friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic attitude. I would also definitely recommend this pub for family dining throughout the year as there are always great deals and choices for children. 29th December 2023 A post Christmas pint and a quick bite to eat. We had a family dinner to celebrate our mum's 80th birthday. Chloe was so helpful

We stopped in enroute to the South coast after a weekend visiting Blenheim Palace. Had the Super Special Breakfast and my partner the Full English version. All was good...only one member of staff in evidence but she was abit of a star. Functional and friendly, clean and cost effective.

My son enjoyed a bacon cheeseburger and I had some beautiful seabass and garlic mash. Food tasted fresh and delicious.

Food was just ok, eatable. I wouldn't go again to eat though, maybe for a drink. Prices are very reasonable but food could definitely taste better.

We had a late lunch and it was lovely and very welcome. My husband and son both had meals from the 2 for ......section whilst I had gammon. Everything was brought to the table and was delicious. Cooked to perfection and we were all full when we left, no room for a dessert. 3 mains and 3 cokes came to less than £30 Brilliant. I would recommend it to anyone. The only tiny issue I had, was the disabled toilet/ baby change room. I had to ask my son to wait outside of the toilet door as it did not lock, but thats all

The silverware was dirty.the glasses had lipstick on them. The chicken was rubbery. Gone so far downhill since we came here and gave them 5 stars. Here's hoping for no food poisoning.

This place used to be great, but today we stopped in to eat lunch and, the silverware was dirty. My daughter was served coke in a glass with lipstick on it. We both got chicken that was rubbery and inedible. The service was slow and they never delivered the dessert.

Came in with the family for Mother’s Day and couldn’t have asked for much more, we was a booking of 10 and everything was ready for us even though was a busy day. Food was excellent, majority of us had roasts which were great value for money. Be back again soon

Went today and there was ten of us!! Despite the pub being really busy we was served within ten mins!! Kellly on the tills was lovely and helped us with everything we needed even pointing out special offers that we had missed!! One of our party had to leave to collect her hubby and they kept her food warm Under the hot plate!! The food was amazing nearly all of us had a sizzle plate and was lovely!! Can’t fault it

Lovely decor and atmosphere. Food came quickly (Steak and ale pie was amazing!). Its a steal, especially the 2 for £11 menu. The staff were also very helpful and friendly.

I had a wonderful breakfast and coffee yesterday morning. The young lady behind the bar was very helpful and kind.

It's very difficult to evaluate the English Breakfast given the similarities they all have, but this one is excellent and at a great price! The place was full, but orders still came out in what I consider to be good time. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff make the experience great.

I was brutally attacked in this premise for just being there and trying to have a good time. Worst part is the restaurant management didn't offer any help, not even first aid. Meanwhile they let the perpetrator run away. I would not recommend this place for anyone especially black people.

Popped in on Saturday night for a bit of dinner with the wife, we had the super special deal , crown of burgers and chicken banquet everything was delicious. Fantastic service and atmosphere. Friendly staff and an overall enjoyable evening

Lauren was exceptional in her service and showed the green king spirit of being courteous polite and helpful, nothing was to much trouble.

Usually a decent place to go from so food that's not to expensive and good size. But today unfortunately it took an hour for a sandwich and halloumi fries to come out and when we asked about it the ginger haired manager was rude to us and insisted it had only been 15 and that we had half the food already when we didn't. And once we had complained the food had just come out microwave and some of the meat was undercooked showing it had just been cooked after we asked about it

As usual booking in with the family for an Xmas meal and was spot on, loved the Christmas menu plenty of options! I had the steak and as always cooked to perfection. Staff were lovely aswell always looks after me and my family.

The food was hot but the steak wasn’t edible, all gristle and could hardly cut, I didn’t want to say anything at the time as the staff included the cook was stood speaking at the bar where it wasn’t busy. The bar staff and wait staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Food is shockingly bad, the serviceis great in the week but the service at the weekend is out of this world. The poor cow needs more help from the management when it comes to staffing issues

Ordered the steak and ruddles pie which was lovely it was let down by the instant mash that was lumpy and not even made properly still had bits of dried flakes. It's not hard to boil a few potatoes and make proper mash
