Wouldn’t recommend eating here - was served mouldy bread with the burgers and the other meals we ordered weren’t very nice - a place to avoid

Kendal Weekend - Feb '24 - a quiet Sunday night. Strongbow and a Cumbria Way (which was on the turn) Friendly, good service, bum scratches for Archie. Dog friendly!

Food was good value, and quick service

Both got food poisoning. It was our only food yesterday and today were spending in agonising stomack pain and other unpleasant things. Wouldn't dare to go again. Sticky floors and tables were alarming, but it was too late to run ( we had ordered and paid for food) when my partner came back from toilets and told how dirty and smelly they are, also right next to the kitchen, not separated by 2 doors as food hygiene requieres. Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Shame the hygiene is questionable. Also place is dark and sad with most lights not working. I have a perfect vision and struggled to see my food it was that dark. Someone who needs glasses should bring a flash light with them. Very good prices, cant beat a 8pound burger, but sadly we wouldn't go agaun just because of getting illness I couldn't bring myself to eat there again.

Fab wee find up an unexpected lane, great atmosphere and lovely staff, very welcoming and cheerful. Security guy Steve was chatty too while he had a moment. Didn't have any food so can't comment. Will defo return again if in Kendal :)

Did not partake in food so cant give a rating. Only one person on bar and also running back and forward to kitchen with orders but on the whole it wad good, also good atmosphere.

J'ai surtout été charmée par le décor ancien de la chambre. La literie était confortable. Il s'agissait d'une nuit d'étape. Il y a un sèche cheveux et une bouilloire dans la chambre. Il n'y a pas de parking mais il est possible de trouver une place un peu plus loin dans la ville.

Great little pub nice outside area

I love real ales. On my first visit to this pub I was informed that due to technical problems no real ales were available . The staff were very apologetic and I think I would have enjoyed a drink or two if the real ales were available. The premises looked good . Let's hope my next visit will be better .

Great afternoon watching football

Great place to unwind and play pool or darts with mates.

Great staff behind the bar. And management are great too. Good to watch football/rugby/cricket/dart.

During my visit the pub was fairly quiet for a large hostelry, however I understand it gets livelier later at night. I wasn't aware of any food offerings but their was a good selection of drinks including areal ale or two. There's at least 2 TVs which can be tuned to separate channels for viewing sport etc.

Lass on the bar took my card and charged it without me being able to check the amount - I was charged £32 for £17 worth of drinks. Upon requesting a receipt a manager got involved and provided a cash refund immediately (thank you). However, if I had not been watching the till as the girl entered my drinks I would have been vastly overcharged without ever knowing. Be wary!

Went lunchtime. We were only ones there and it was cold

Ordered a pint of Citra, was 100% off, changed for another hand pulled which was also off. Toilets were covered in black mold and smelt like a sewer.

It was alright but it could do with more bright lighting

Probably the busiest of the bars we visited on Saturday night and definitely a younger person's bar or is that just me getting older 😀 good choice of pumps and not crazy prices, good vibe!

Courtyard area. Good for drinks outside but a bit dingy inside and dog sitting on table outside. Not hygienic.

Friendly pub with a good choice of craft & normal beers

Hidden yet cozy. Wonderfully furnished to provide this warm feel, with free sports on TVs and calm music too, good atmosphere as well, good quality Robinson's drinks provided by good service. Features a dominos table, snooker table and darts board here. Would definitely recommend it!

Great atmosphere - footie was on big screen. Glass was stained with the impenetrable lipstick but quickly sorted. Staff great.

Excellent pub larger inside than what it looks like on the outside. Really good large beer garden. Swift service nice pints .

Cosy beer garden down a side alley which is a sun trap on a sunny day and they offer good lunches. Good beer range if veering on the side of the usual commercial offerings. Friendly and helpful staff. Could do with losing the large TV which I think always drops the quality of a pub.

Lovely staff Good food amazing potions

This is a popular pub in the town centre. It has the usual crowd pleaser beers plus a small selection of craft beers. I didn't eat here but plenty of people were tucking into very well proportioned tasty looking meals.

Nice friendly staff and good beer garden/yard with lots of seating. Several IPAs that were good but only one vegan choice in the menu that we could see

Food and service excellence would recommend

Staff are friendly and the food was good. We had a long wait for our food but they had a power shortage in the kitchen. The barman kept apologising to us for the wait and then took some money off the bill for the wait. We didn't expect that but really appreciated it. We would definitely go back.

We visited here on 9/6/21 and had one of the best pub meals in a long time. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive and the service was quick. The portions were huge, and everything tasted fresh and hot. Good selection of drinks as well - highly recommend.

Bit rough and ready, but a half decent pint of Moreti. So can put up with the clientèle.

Absolutely disgusting food cheese and onion toastie wouldn't give it to my dog onions far to thick and raw cheese not even cooked no butter

Food took 1hour 20 mins and was rubbish. Frozen chips cheap shop bought pie and cold peas ...

Waited over an hour for food. It wasn't busy either.

The staff very friendly made my friends dog very welcome down side can't eat in due to coving restrictions hopefully will be back when visiting family 😃

We arrived at 1.30 and placed our food order the food arrived at 2.45 and one meal was missing. They did provide the refund however saying the place was empty the service was poor.

Had. Brilliant Sunday lunch here excellent value 2 Sunday Roasts +1.5 pints of beer and still change from £20 was good home cooked food & plenty of it!!

Quiet evening and not very busy but it was midweek and out of the tourist season. Clena, well presented bar with friendly staff. Entrance to bar is through a picturesque alleway, nicely lit with outdoor seating.

Called in for a pint and something to eat. Good food, real friendly staff, dog friendly and good ale. The wife had pie and mash, the pie was deep and full of filling and very tasty. Asked the cook if she could cook some sausages for our dogs and she was happy to do so. Brilliant experience and very peoples friendly staff. The bar was very clean, very smart and very welcoming. We will be back the next time we're in kendal

Nice pub in Kendall, with friendly team and quick service too. Good home cooked food available and a wide selection of drinks; pool table and live sports available to pass the time too. Outside seating which would be nice in Summer and dog friendly which was a bonus on this particular visit!

after refurbishment the pub looks amazing and clean. staff are lovely. shows BT sports and Sky sport across 4 tv's so no worries if matches collide with each other. dogs allowed and free parking at the back. large beer garden

I visit the White Hart regularly it has always been a great place to be. Karaoke and disco at weekends, pool and darts during the week backed up with friendly staff a great selection of food and drink. Just had an extensive refurbishment inside and out the place really is the bees knees.

Based on food this place is awful over an hour wait for food, eventually arrived and it was very poor.
