Pleasant English village pub atmosphere, friendly staff and local guests. There was a card party in the corner, pleasant relaxed conversation and beer drinking, while 80' and 90' pop rock music was playing. Apex! The beers were delicious and fresh. I loaded goods from the local paper mill as a European trucker and stopped for a night to experience the environment of the local English village. A quiet peaceful place.

Don't eat with your eyes, the food was delicious and plenty of it. Empty plates all round.

Warmest welcome I’ve ever experienced in a pub. So friendly and helpful, both bar staff and Pete the landlord. Room was clean, cosy and spacious in a lovely quiet setting. Delicious and hearty evening meal and breakfast. Definitely recommend for those walking the Dales way.

Perfect for a nights stop whilst walking The Dales Way. Very friendly staff, the room had everything we needed and the food portions are generous. Great value too!!

Food: Full of food colouring. They use red food colouring in their dishes (even the kebabs). The meat was from from tender. Onion pakora was oily. The kebab were salty. Service: The waiter was extrem

Stayed in Coniston for 3 nights and it was the best meal we had. Great food, quiet place, and good prices. Shame we weren't staying longer otherwise we would have come back again.

This was the beet Chinese take away that we've had in years! It was ready as promised, and was excellent. All so obviously freshly cooked with top quality ingredients. Won't hesitate to buy from Jum
