White Hart Hotel in Weymouth and Portland

Most unwelcoming greeting at bar. Food was not good and toilets were disgusting. Couldn’t wait to leave!

Couldn't have what we choose unfortunately, had burger it was overcooked so tasted burnt and i swapped chips for sweet potato fries and they were burnt to a crisp,the pud was nice,and so was the nice refreshing cider.

We had a party of 30 people to watch football and have drinks but the whole pub was reserved. One table was reserved from 1215 we were there at 1245 and thry still wouldnt open let us sit there. Turned down my party which would have spent 100 to 150 an hour in drinks madness

Lovely pub. The steak and ale pie was absolutely superb, I had it with chips and garden peas. Big plus for me was that the gravy was served separately, many places slosh it on whether you want it or not. Service good, and atmosphere good, and beer good. No problem with toilets except the fact that they were upstairs, which was not a problem for me. I was told that they do a Sunday carvery, I expect it will be good I will return!

Basic pub food. Salad overdressed. Cheese toastie barely toasted so not very appealing but chicken club sandwich was tasty. Table not wiped clean from previous occupants. Advertised lunch deal from Mon-Fri but apparently not on bank holidays so why advertise? 😕

The staff were busy but very polite and attentive in all attention to us. The beer was good and our food great.

The very dog friendly pub was lovely. Service and staff very nice. Food was excellent. Only criticism is that personally the pub inside needed a good clean. Very dusty on some furniture and empty dog bowls left with dead flies in. The ladies toilets were upstairs. No problem. But on the way up there was a funny smell. Inside the ladies was disgusting. Needed a good clean and omg two of the four toilets were left with what was done previously and not flushed. Even the floor was dirty and the smell was vile. Such a shame because it’s reasonable price wise and staff and food good. Just needs a bit of tlc.

Lovely friendly and quick service and the fresh salad with salmon and cheddar fishcakes were delicious. Very tasty 🙂

On holiday in Weymouth and we have eaten here the last 2 evenings, the food has been amazing. Lovely friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Nice beer garden to sit and enjoy refreshments.

Greene King, white hart, amazing place right in the centre of the hearth of Weymouth very comfortable amenities, but the most important the food, it might not be possible with out the help of the waiter and it's skilful chef cocking at the perfection, I have travelled from London more that 3 hours today, and I'm glad to say I have found a beautiful gastronomic pearl in the middle of the prehistoric coast.

First time visiting with family, welcoming with a friendly face, placed food order which came out promptly, all food was fresh and hot. Was asked if everything was ok with the meal, after finishing plates cleared in a timely fashion. Would visit again

Popped in here for what was meant to be a little pit spot but soon got told about 241 on certain drinks between 4-7pm so I’ve stayed a few hours longer. This place is an absolute gem, food Is top Quality and it feels very relaxed in the venue because the staff here make Everyone feel special and comfortable. Definitely will Visit this place again xx

Only a four star as I asked for my steak to be rare but an hour after ordering it came out dry and not rare unfortunately. Still a nice pub though.

Food was disappointing: overcooked, expensive and the portions were small. We didn't go there to watch football.

We came down on holiday from Leeds, and I went in twice to ask them if they were showing the Leeds United game and both times he put them on for me. They were very welcoming and had a good laugh with the manager. I would definitely recommend The White Hart the look after you from when you walk in to the min you leave. Thank you very much even though the manager is a Man utd fan. We will return when we come down again on holiday.

Clean & tidy pub , football on the TV s , beers good & the service was fine . I didn't eat , hence no food rating.

Absolutely freezing inside had to sit there with our coats on all night. Take a hat & gloves.

5 * Steak sandwich was perfect, as we're the chips, and the accompanying salad was terrific. Very economical and worth every penny. We highly recommend.

Wow! What a sensational steak and ale pie! Absolutely immense! Fully packed pie; tasty and full of flavour. The red wine gravy elevated the dish! Lots to eat. You definitely won’t leave short changed with this dish!

We came for a little get away for my 50th and stumbled upon this pub walking round. The food was so nice. Husband had the katsu chicken burger upon recommendation from the staff and I had the steak and ale pie. Portion size was huge and hubby had to finish mine and said it was the best steak and ale pie he had ever had. Friendly staff with a nice laid back feel to the place and spotlessly clean. If staying here longer would definitely return.

As always staff are very welcoming and food is good and responsibly priced. It’s always a pleasure to have a drink and have food here.

Staff, service and food excellent.

We booked in for Saturday lunch on our arrival to Weymouth. The service was very good, staff were friendly. We all ordered main meals, all of which were very tasty. 5 plates were completely clean at the end! We would definitely return based on our first visit.

Lovely food, good atmosphere and great service. Dog friendly too. Conveniently located in town centre but not far from the beach.

Another fantastic evening at the White Hart. I keep coming back every visit to Weymouth! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, in particular Paul. Went in to the White Hart this evening and I was extremely concerned about the awful state of the pub. The tables were dirty and uncleared, there were rubbish bags stacked high inside the pub, behind the bar was messy. I walked around the pub and there was an awful smell of dirty nappies and baby wipes, it was as if someone had changed a child in the pub itself. The stools were stained and the decor, walls, carpets in general were all in a bad state of repair. The pub could do with some serious TLC & a makeover, a good clean and new furniture, fresh paint, modernisation etc. It is a shame as in the past I have eaten at this establishment and the food was actually very good, however, after tonight's experience, I would certainly not be returning unless the pub is gutted and given a deep clean and an uplift throughout.

Using the app to order was easy and the people who delivered the food and drinks to the table were friendly. The festive burger was great, it was so tasty and definitely good value for money!

My Hooman met her Hooman friend here for a bite to eat after work. They had burgers that looked yummy and I had pigs in blanket that were woofly and delicious! The lady serving us was really woofly and took the time to chat, which is always nice! The staff are always friendly here and super doggo friendly. Comfy, cozy, inviting and warm ❤️🌞🐾

Been here a few times over the years but this is my first time back in about 6 years. As I remembered, the staff are all lovely and accommodating. I wanted to bring the rest of my meal back with me to my hotel and they were more than happy to wrap it up. Prices are reasonable for the portions and the food always hits the spot. I would recommend trying here if you are ever visiting Weymouth

We popped into this Green king pub/restauraunt this evening for an early dinner whilst shopping. We were visiting Weymouth for the first time, and popped in on the off chance that it would be good. We ordered from the small plates, ordering three, plus coleslaw and onion rings between two of us. The service was professional, and the food really tasty, the 3 dishes we chose were sticky chicken ( my favourite) halloumi, and humus with flatbread. we would definetly go back if in the area, and would reccomend this pub to others. Its really accessible in the shopping complex.

Went here for dinner while on hoilday. Lovely rustic pub with a warm welcome the older gentleman behind the bar was so friendly and welcoming with excellent customer service. Food was lovely and reasonable priced. Would definitely be going again and would highly recommend

We always use this venue whenever we are in Weymouth. The staff are super friendly,the food is absolutely awesome and there is a great range of beers,lagers,spirits etc all at a reasonable price. Highly recommend this place.

We popped in for pint on Friday 11th October, whilst chatting to the very friendly and helpful bar staff we asked if they would be showing the rugby game on Saturday- they reserved us a table in clear view of one of the tv screens and had the channel playing when we arrived on the Saturday. This is a very friendly- busy pub that maintains a “locals” feel. The whole crew of staff were extremely helpful and friendly- definitely coming back to this pub next time we’re in Weymouth. Very highly recommended

Service was amazing and food was better, don’t have a single bad thing to say about what we received, they were very conscious of any allergies we may have and checked several times

Both myself and my partner had the Flat Iron Steak, with sides onion rings and garlic bread. The steak was cooked to perfection, nice and pink, melted in your mouth. Friendly sraff. Highly recommend a visit to The White Hart.

Clean tables, got served quickly ,good food which was served promptly, they brought over condiments for us so we didn't have to search for them , they cleared table while we were there, asked if we wld like a sweet , polite, all in all a good service .

We had an excellent visit on our arrival on holiday. All of the staff were brilliant especially Hannah and the 2 Lee,s, good value food, and appears a Very happy pub.

Visited here for the first time whilst in Weymouth and it was a very good experience. It is a nice pub, I needed a Greene King as I had vouchers and I am glad I went with this one. The food is very nice, good value too. Perfect pint of Guinness and the staff are very friendly and helpful, recommended.

We came here for a relaxing and reasonably priced lunch, which we received. I ordered three dishes from the shared menu, along with some chips and drinks, all of which came to a total of £30. Although it may not look like much in the picture, there were three of us, and we were quite full by the end of the meal. The service was attentive, polite, and friendly. The food was great, and so was the atmosphere. You can place your order through a QR code that directs you to an app, where it is quite straightforward to order, or you can choose to order at the till if you prefer. Overall, we found it to be a wonderful place that offered great value for money, and we left very happy with our visit.

This is a really nice pub nice bar nice seating lovely and polite staff a real shame that the food is a real poor quality I had a flat iron stake medium rare came out cremated and my sweet potato fries were cold the Thatchers blood orange is really watery on tap the toilets are filthy paint and other dirt all other floor hasn't been cleaned in a while still a nice pub but not if your after quality. And if you want hot food your better of going to McDonald's

We had the best night last night , karaoke, great music, amazing staff,, especially Katie,, just so much fun, and genuinely lovely person,, best of all she allows children to join in the fun too,, so as parents we still got a nice night out and our 13 year old had a good night too. What can I say.....got let done by 2 other restaurants, so I phoned these guys and they actually made room for my family of 6. Katie and her staff were amazing 👏 and the food was awesome 👌. Will 100% go here again.
