Had a fantastic visit to the white hart this week, was served by both Brad and Dan behind the bar and they couldn’t have been happier to serve. They were chatty and polite. I’m local to the area and will be returning. Best thing is they’re dog friendly and always have treats on hand.

Ordered cheese burger with onions mayo and lettuce and tomato.Came as burnt burger with cheese slice.Bowl of chips very hard and overcooked.They bought other ingredients when I complained by now food cold and bland.

I love coming here with my family for quiz nights and it has quickly become our local pub! Really friendly staff and always feels welcoming and cosy 🧡

Working away and found this little treasure! The food is excellent! Cheapest beer I’ve seen for ages! The staff are friendly and welcoming, and everyone are so welcoming. A pleasure to find and I WILL be visiting this place whenever possible. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 5 stars

Enjoyed a top evening from 5pm to 9.30 pm in the White Hart.We were celebrating my wife’s 65th birthday with our family and friends.Service at the bar and attention to detail was very good.7 of the party had meals and the consensus was really good.Thank you again Athena Lauren Liam and Keiren.

This place is a nice easy going pub. The sport is accessible from each corner of the pub. My grandad and I came in for the amazing lunchtime deal but ended going for the steak which was just as amazing. The staff were very accommodating to us. Especially the chef. We will be definitely coming back.

Visited with friends for a birthday celebration. We all chose beef roast dinner and was bloomin lovely! Kieran the chef made sure we had a super hot dinner. Beef was so tender. I now live in the Midlands and whenever I come home we always go to the White heart and it never disappoints can’t wait to come again 🤩

We had a Saturday lunch. We both ordered the Hunters chicken which was tasty, well cooked yet still moist, the salad had a tasty dressing and the chips were crispy on the outside but soft in the middle. The ipa was crisp and the wine also good. One of the better Greene King pubs with good staff and pieasnt customers. All in all a friendly pub with good food.

I was on my friends hen do and the white hart was by far the best pub in Cheadle that we went to. There was 12 of us and we didn’t call ahead to reserve a table but the manager Liam promptly did some rearranging of tables so we could all sit together and the service was fab. Very welcoming pub.

We were a group of 16 having a post Christmas get together. Patrick and Liam were great - always popping back to check we were ok.

We came in for some staff drinks and was suprised of how much this place has gone up! Perfect for a drink or a family dinner! The staff here made it worth the visit! Our food and drinks were delicious ! and nothing you ask for is a bother! Thankyou Liam and the team for making our night so enjoyable!! X

Went for a family meal, 4 adults and 2 children. We ordered 2 mixed grills for 2 adults and they brought out a steak meal in error. When we complained they checked the till order and realised they’d made an error. Said they would sort it. After approx 30 Minutes wait, the second mixed grill was served.. everyone else has finished eating by this time. The problem is we were never offered any sort of an apology, either when the wrong meal was served or even when the correct one was. We had to order another round of drinks as waited so long for the last meal and they didn’t even offer any discount on these.

Nice atmosphere especially with the Christmas brass band playing. We were a large group and were seated near the door which was a bit chilly unfortunately. It was a bit disappointing that a few of the people in our group couldn't get our first choice of food as there was no lasagne or corn. I had to send my dish back as it was overcooked but the member of staff was very kind and helpful and offered to get me some more; the replacement was really tasty.

I think it’s really nice that they let Lego head mark in to shelter from the rain, and I think loz has a bit of a soft spot for him . Oh well

Been coming in for about 6 months now and when you find a place that suits all needs you keep going back which is what we do… the menu is simple but it works. Good quality good prices… Kieran has always made a point of saying hello and accommodating some adaptations to our orders… always professional and chatty down to earth guy….. works hard Liam is as equally friendly as is Dan who serves behind the bar…. Couple of others to mention but don’t know names…. Nice friendly atmosphere with fantastic people… highly recommend

Hello, I am Odin the dog. I frequent this watering hole many times a week woof woof . My favourite person in the pub is Dave a.k.a. Thundercat he treated me to a lovely rump steak medium rare woof woof. I really do love this pub, plus there is a no Cat policy which is good for them . Woof woof xx

I have been coming to the White heart off and on all my life. Recently back in the area and been coming. The new manager and staff are always polite and deserve this review. They are clearly trying to make it a great place. Lovely back garden too to sit out in the sun... Would recommend to anyone and people passing through cheadle beautiful church next door too...

A great pub in Cheadle village, showing live sports, serving good food and very busy. We had a shared starter, 2 burger meal mains and desserts. All food was hot and served in good time. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

Sunday late afternoon in and around Cheadle was quite quiet, in fact, dead. We were visiting an elderly relative who is unable to cook. We all agreed on fish & chips. There are at least 3, maybe 4 chippies in the locale, but, they were all closed.Having eaten at the White Hart before, I asked if they do takeaway fish & chips. Yes I was assured they did. So, I ordered 3 portions at a cost of well over £30.Got them home and unpacked; the batter on the fish was so soggy it was only cooked on the outside, The fish was tough, the mushy peas had managed to seep through the plastic container and only two portions of chips were edible. Nothing like they said on the menu. A total and utter waste of money. Even the cat wouldn't eat the fish after we took the batter off for him. NO condiments, not even a pouch of tartare sauce, let alone all the advertised stuff on the menu. Thanks for providing the best rip off I've experienced this year. Daylight robbery.

We came here for a family tea, the menu looked great online, unfortunately a lot of items were not available, we ordered a sharing starter and cauliflower wings, the wings were burnt and the nachos were stale. We had all ordered a steak, they were all over cooked and dry, mushrooms again were stale, the meal was very disappointing, definitely not worth the £90.00 cost for 4 meals and starter

Not been here in months but came yesterday (16th) and the food was spot on atmosphere was really good to Jo the duty manager was really good nothing was too much I came with me and 5 children made up of my son and niece and nephew they absolutely loved it they had chicken tikka and chicken wings and pizza they was so happy and excited couldn't stop talking about the place

From when we arrived till we left it was a lovely experience everything was reasonably priced the food was cooked just how I ordered And just as important to us was dog friendly

Went in for dinner today and the meal was awful. Roast potatoes were white and undercooked and the rest of the roast looked like it was just thrown on the please. Gravy watery and tasteless. We won't be returning, shame though as the pub is lovely.We went in just after lockdown ended and it was the same, we thought it may have been a one off but honestly the food was awful

Was the first time for me going back to a pub inside since the lift of the restrictions. The pub and its team did an amazing job of looking after everyone. Speed of service considering its all tabled was impressive and the staff were all friendly and happy. Couldn’t fault the experience

Myself and my Wife came for some drinks after the lockdown period, when we were sat outside and the staff were all extremely attentive and adhered to the rules and regulations the government had put in place. We, both felt extremely comfortable in our surroundings and that's a testament to the Manager Steve, Jo the assistant, Steve the barman and Tallula and the rest of the team.We, will be back soon

The White Hart is a friendly, welcoming family pub that is right in the heart of Cheadle Village. There is also large beer garden with plenty of seating. Having been frequenting the pub for 15years I have witnessed it develop into a fantastic establishment. It has a great choice of beers and wines. Food is good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Steve the landlord is a great guy and knows how to run a great pub. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Went in to watch the Champions league final, Fantastically organised due to the pandemic.The staff were attentive and friendly with the table service. The pub had a great atmosphere. And the beer garden looks brilliant. Definitely will be back.

I visited here for first time Friday 4.6.21. I took my mum, wheelchair bound , and sister. Outstandingly help staff throughout the visit and booking table. Polite, helpful, friendly, they did everything to make our visit special. Food and menu varied and super value. Wonderful seniors 3 course menu. All food delicious, beautifully presented and served promptly with a smile :) . Hot delicious soup , large fresh chicken and bacon salad and crispy sweet potato fries. All food sumptuous. Beer garden lovely. We ate inside also great ambience. Mum in wheelchair all on flat wide entrance on flat at rear and very large well appointed loo, big plus, its so hard now to find suitable facilities for less mobile. Will definately go again . Staff Steve , Imogen and other waitress , polite , efficient and soooo upbeat and friendly , tjis pub deserves to do well. Covid safety measures absolutely superb very safe very clean . Do visit , you will not be disappointed . Thx Guys

Just wanted to say well done to all the team for last night.The beer garden was rammed probably around 130-150 people all having a great time feeling greatful that the pubs have reopened.All the team was doing there upmost to make sure everyone was having a lovely time.You definitely need to book to make sure you can get in as people just walking in was being turned away as there was no spaces. However its worth booking great to have a nice pint again Well done to all the team

Came to the pub on a wet and rainy Wednesday. From the hosting to ordering to paying the service was impeccable. So clean throughout and the team do everything to stick to their pub safe motto. So relaxed and geuinely nice staff. Food was incredible, new menu is fantastic and literally couldn't fault anything at all. My favourite pub to come to when I'm out and about. Well in these uncertain times it's fair to say the White Hart team smashed it.Clear and concise greeting from th whist in the door. App worked brilliantly all night so we didn't have to get the attention of staff etc.Pub felt safe night with what looked like one person going round the pub paying particular attention to touch points

After spending the early evening at YARA, we continued said Celebrations in the Pub. Comfortable and Relaxing setting as to continue and Socialise

Went here as a group on a works night out and the staff went out of their way to look after us.Atmosphere was just right for a midweek night and the range of beers and gins was pretty amazing. There were some tough decisions to be made when we got to the bar due to vast range.We got some nibbly stuff and this was really good value and quality. Will definitely come back with family to try again

We were passing through Cheadle and decided to stop for some lunch, Saturday 11th January 2020, There were quite a few pubs/restaurants to choose from more luck than judgement or studying of trip advisor or any other review sites we happened upon the White Hart Inn. The food was fantastic - gammon egg & pineapple, the pub was clean and tidy including the loos, serving staff were helpful. My only criticism would be the draft Diet Coke was watered down too much but then again I am a Pepsi Max girl!We had such a wonderful experience during our visit we decided to call again for Sunday lunch on 12th January. Often when you go back to a place where you’ve experienced a fantastic meal it’s never as good I was wrong! We had the Sunday roast, topside of beef, it was cooked to perfection - just as I like it... roasties were wonderful too. I am a roasting fan and normally the roasties arn’t as good as my homemade roasties but these were and probably even better than my own! Credit to the chef and the kitchen staff.Excellent value for money/Quality food. If we are ever passing through or nearby I would definitely eat here again and I’d even take the kids both who are going through their own fussy/daddy stage one who is practically vegetarian (lots of choice on the menu for vegetarians) and the other who isn’t adventurous with food but again lots of choice.

3 of us went for food and drinks on a very busy Saturday early evening. Reserved a table on the website, so easy to do. Loads of bar staff so never a problem getting served. Food and drinks were excellent and good value, will definitely be visiting again. The chicken yorkie wrap was delicious and massive!! Staff all very helpful.

Second time here since the refurb and just wished we lived closer as it would definitely be our local! Food is gorgeous and great value . Pub is so cosy inside plus spotlessly clean . Staff are so friendly , polite and go that extra mile .Will certainly be back !

Over the last month since the recent refurbishment we have eaten here on numerous occasions. Every meal has been good, plentiful and piping hot. For the last two Sundays we have had their Sunday Roast offer and both times it has been exceptional. This pub has set the bar high for pub food, good value and hopefully will continue to do so for the forseeable future.

Popped in following a subtle refurbishment.I had the spicy halloumi fries to start, which were more chunks than fries, tasty never the less ! Was served in rustic tin pie dish, I did ask for a plate to pop it on as the dish was overflowing and I just knew some would end up on the table.My steak was perfect in every way. Cooked to perfection, hot chips, peas just right, crispy onion rings and pepercorn sauce a perfect temperature! As for the refurbishment, it was lovely as it was, so great only subtle changes made.The regular customers made me feel very welcome, involving me with chit chat, but not intruding on my quiet time.A great experience following my previous visit.Thank you !

This use to be our favourite place to go and eat. However the last time we visited the food was not like the last couple of times, we ordered a steak melt sandwich with chips the steak was full of fat and really chewy and overall the quality of the food was poor the poor barmaid was on her own and run off her feet we were told there would be a 20 minute wait but we didn’t mind that as last time it was delicious sorry I would not recommend going here to eat.

Came here a few weeks ago and had a lovely roast. Popped back today and sadly I have been disappointed. Chicken looked as it has been frozen pieces, mash was thick and dry, as was the stuffing. Wasn't what I was looking forward to at all. Shame.

Visited this pub with hungry stomachs and it was just the right place. Steak was cooked to perfection and sides with it were good too. Burger was great and halloumi fries were just too good!! Very good prices, good atmosphere and very friendly/attentive staff. Thank you for a good meal!

Visited the white hart today for food and a few drinks. Really enjoyed the pie and especially the variety of different gins. Welcoming staff and nice surroundings.

Visited a couple of times over the Easter weekend; once for lunch and the other occasion for drinks. The service is brilliant and friendly, the food very nice and fantastic value for money. A real gem of a place.

Been here today cannot say how lovely the food was. I had the steak melt sandwich chips and side salad. The sandwich was delicious with lots of steak cheese and caramelised onion chutney, the chips taste like proper cooked homemade chips and the lovely side salad was dressed with balsamic absolutely wonderful. Great value for money, the staff are really friendly and helpful. We’ve been here a few times cannot recommend enough.

I usually have a good meal here. This time mine was delicious but the Wife had an awful experience. The Cheese and Pickle sandwich. Oh Dear. Asked for it on a soft bun. Joking it was hard as nails. No butter on it. Hardly any pickle that I could see and the Wife did not taste it. Sliced cheese like cardboard. No taste. Nearly broke her Dentures which would have been very expensive for the Pub If she had sued them if they had.Did not say anything derogative as I do like their cooked meals and it the Local for my Lad and I like going there for a meal and Drinkies. Better luck next time and not to have a bun etc.

Lovely pub and great staff but tried new menu peri peri chicken burger when it arrived at the table it looked like it had been thrown on plate falling apart all over place .my partner had chicken fajitas which usually in the past comes with 2 big tortilla wraps but this time it was 3 mini wraps which made it difficult to achieve a decent wrap and was messy to achieve a decent wrap to eat & salad on fajitas looked sad lettuce was going discoloured had few meals in here with no complaints but this time what went wrong ???
