Fantastic service no faults with this place everything is perfect looking forward to going back.

We had a fantastic time at The Bake House! After finding out our originally planned venue for afternoon tea was closed we called the Bake House and they accommodated us at the last minute! We were too late to order afternoon tea but they did their best to give us the experience by plating up our sandwiches into a platter and putting our chosen cakes on a cake stand. Delicious baked good, teas coffees and scrumptious milkshakes for the kids. 100% recommend!

Came in here for a snack and a warm drink with my daughter. The staff and food did not disappoint! Had cheese on crumpets and a cup of tea. There was so much cheese! Delicious! Staff all friendly, obviously have lots of regulars which is great to see. Fair pricing as well. Could not fault!

We love the Bake House. Always a friendly welcome, delicious food and lovely atmosphere. Pop in for breakfast, or even if you need somewhere quiet to work with a coffee and pasrty. My studio is just around the corner, and i always recommend The Bake House to peckish clients after their shoot (or if I need takeout for hungry models!). Thanks guys!

Lovely place for a coffee and light bites

This is my go to place for meeting up with friends for tea and rocky road (highly recommend) as well as for bacon barms. The staff are the friendliest and most engaging staff I have met. Great local business, celebrating 10 years of serving the community. Nothing is too much trouble. They have a shelf full of books to read if you are on your own.

Welcoming friendly staff. We had afternoon tea, everything was freshly made and very tasty. Only one slight criticism (which is down to personal choice) we would have preferred more sandwiches and less cakes, having said that, we were given boxes to take the cakes home and little pots for the jam and cream. So all in all a very pleasant afternoon.

I ordered afternoon tea take away for my mums 82nd birthday. It was absolutely amazing. Also all made fresh and a great section choice. My mum was made up with her afternoon tea for her birthday. Everything was perfect. I'd highly recommend. Also staff are amazing and very helpful Also.

Terrible customer service, unwelcoming experience! Me and a couple friends visited here on a quiet winter afternoon, shortly after finishing our drinks we were told we had to leave as we’d ‘over stayed our welcome’ (an hour and a half) where as on the table it states we are welcome for two hours. One member of the party was using an empty plug socket to charge her iPhone whilst we were all catching up about uni life etc and the staff said they ‘didn’t mind’ yet repeatedly brought up the fact the phone was on charge. We questioned if the phone was the problem and it wasn’t, the problem was we’d had our drinks, didn’t want to order anything else but were still sitting chatting. All 3 of us work in customer service and we have all worked in hospitality, I have never worked for or been to a place so rude towards their customers. For reference, we are 19/20 year old girls, not causing any trouble to the staff or disturbing the cafe. Whilst being asked to leave, there was one other older couple sat, just chatting after their drinks yet they weren’t asked to leave? It’s embarrassing for us infront of the only other couple in the cafe and poses the question of - why us and not them? It was -3 outside and we were waiting for a lift - would an elderly group be treated the same? Very unusual and uncomfortable experience, being asked to leave 3 times having only been there less than 1.5 hours. The third time we were approached was by a different lady who said we could sit elsewhere it’s just a family normally visit and sit where we were sat, that was not a problem so could we have not been told this in the first place? After the third lady approached us however, we were already so uncomfortable we chose to leave. The electricity being used to charge the phone I’m sure comes out of no one’s wages, so why was it an issue? Very, very confused and disappointed. Recommend if you’re over 35, clearly they aren’t keen on young adults in their money-grabbing cafe.

Lovely cafe, food and drinks really good.

I visited today for the first time ordered a Cappuccino which was very nice and a Sausage roll which was very tasty, I was tempted to have another one it was so nice but resisted on this occasion. Lovely friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere even given a free piece of Victoria Sponge cake to try which was also delicious. I shall be returning soon!

Took mum for birthday afternoon tea today. So impressed, the servers were really kind and accommodating and the food really fresh and tasty. Will come again!

First time I'd visited here, had a piece of carrot cake which was delicious. Tried the coffee (latte) loved the blend here one of the nicest I've tasted

The past few months I've been going in every Wednesday (my day off) with my 18month old daughter Elizabeth. Always met with smiley happy faces and staff that always put there best into the experience. I absolutely love this little gem which is just down the road for me and you'll have repeat customers from me and B 😁

Booked in for a party of 12 for afternoon tea. Hadn’t ever been before. OMG, soooo generous. Endless hot drinks. All struggling to finish the food when another two trays of cakes come along! Leftovers bagged up to last us a week 😁 Modern place, fab service, great food. The staff are so accommodating. Thank you The Bake House for making my mum’s birthday meal perfect. We will definitely be back.

I ordered afternoon tea for 3 with 24 hours notice but forgot to mention it was for a take out. They packaged it up without a grumble while I waited & couldn’t have been nicer. The food was absolutely delicious, the lemon drizzle cake particularly was to die for!

This is an amazing cafe. My husband and I went there yesterday. My husband is blind and the people serving us noticed this, but rather than ignore this or make a fuss over it (all too often peolles responce) they were really helpful. They let him know when they were there to serve us, where they were putting his drinks, and spoke directly to him rather than speak just to me. It was a refreshing and really enjoyable experience. Then there is the food. My husband had a sausage balm, and he thought the sausages were rather special (he's quite the connoisseur). I had a toasty which was lovely, with a choice of brown or white bread. We coth had coffee which was smooth and frothy. There was a lovely selection of cakes and saw a few people with amazing afternoon teas. We will definitely be back.

What a hidden gem in stockport. We were a party of 11 ladies and planned in advance with the owner for afternoon tea for us all. It was brilliant we couldn't get over the amount of food we were given. The cakes were delicious. The staff were brilliant and couldn't have done more for us. Thank you to the team for a wonderful afternoon, loved by all.

We ordered 2 breakfasts on Uber eats. Tomatoes were missing on one, the other was missing mushrooms and tomatoes. It was stone cold and the hash browns were absolutely soggy to the point of disgusting as was the black pudding. The eggs were undercooked with clear jelly on top of the yolks. I wouldn't order from here again. I suppose Uber are to blame for the cold food as the driver didn't have a proper bag although we were the only drop of on route it shouldn't have been that cold. There was a mushroom allergy for one breakfast. Note "MUSHROOM ALLERGY no mushrooms on this breakfast please thank you" only noted for the breakfast in question there was no note for the other one.

My first time in this lovely little venue. Lots of home made goodies and staff that can't do enough for you!! Only draw back is parking...

I’ve been coming here regularly for the last couple of weeks and can say they do the BEST hot chocolate. Overflowing with cream and marshmallows. Cakes, sandwiches and staff are all fantastic too.

I've been to the Bake House several times over a number of years. Lovely relaxed little cafe. Calm vibe , polite and welcoming. You always feel like you could stay longer! Nice food & drinks & reasonably priced. Parking is probably the only downfall where it is, if you drop lucky which to be fair most of the time I have you can park outside!

Ordered afternoon teas for mothers day today. Mums and Godmums felt really loved and spoilt. Afternoon teas had two scones with jam and cream, 5 mini cakes, selection of sandwiches, love hearts, teabag the works. So impressed with the Bake House great friendly service and excellent quality. Would high recommend ***** five stars from me !!

After an afternoon of looking at replacing a car for a friend it was a welcome stop off in nice surroundings on the busy A6 an oasis.

We had the bakehouse afternoon tea. The sandwiches were the freshest we've ever eaten and the cakes...wow! There were so many, they were freshly baked and absolutely delicious. There were so many that we had to take some home as we couldn't manage them all. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bakehouse is a lovely place to sit and relax. We would both definitely go again and have recommended already to our friends at the hospital where we work

Such a busy little cafe....very hard to get a table. Not sure if we approved of just about every table booked to ' regulars ' There were 4 of us, and we had to sit at a reserved table, until our time was up! Nice coffee though!

I ordered take away afternoon tea for three for a mini baby shower, it was so tasty and there was so much choice. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were all delicious (we had both vegan and non-vegan afternoon tea). Laura went above and beyond to help - thank you so much. Would definitely recommend and will definitely order again/visit the cafe to dine in. Thank you again for such an amazing service!

I went at the café for the first time as thought it would be a great place to check it out. I remember sitting near the window on the right. The deco and inside of the café is really nice, however I found the stuff being unprofessional, patronising. The stuff constantly giggling and looking at you with bullying tactics. The food which we got, wasn't a lot: tea and some paninies were overpriced. Shame, for such a nice place to have such a rude, unwelcoming stuff. I was very uncomfortable and we felt unwelcome in there. Was never back since and won't be ever.

Really amazing service by Laura and the staff. Had to make last minute changes to the booking and all the changes were made quickly and with a really friendly response. The food was amazing really tasty and full of flavour. The value for money is second to none and am excited to for pur next visit.

Popped in, after school pick up, so that the kids could have something special for working hard all week. Was met with a warm friendly greeting from both Megan and Laura. Placed our order and it came very quickly. Teapigs Earl Grey and a huge piece of Victoria sponge cake - delicious combination. The kids has babyccino’s with marshmellos and cream with smartie cookies. All felt very COVID safe with cucumber scented alcohol hand sanitiser on each table (only arms length away). Glad to support a local business rather than a chain. Great service with a smile. Will be coming back soon! Keep up the great work. Simon

Had a delicious afternoon tea yesterday to celebrate our wedding anniversary from this gorgeous little cafe. There were delicious sandwiches scones and cake all provided in boxes tied up with string. Extremely good value for money, there were so many cakes that we delivered what we couldn’t eat to some neighbours! Thanks Laura. We’ll be back again soon.

We ordered an afternoon tea for two to take out as a lockdown treat and it certainly was a treat. Well filled sandwiches, plenty of jam and cream for the scones and FIVE kinds of cake! All made fresh on the day. Mmmmmm.

Great coffee! Quality food. Laura does a perfect job, highly recommend this place for a brew and quick snack.

Open on Sunday. Nice staff. Little costly and less varieties than Food for Thought.

Probably the best sausage/bacon butty I have had in Hazel Grove and I would give it five stars. Personally I would order from here again. Edit* this was confirmed in another recent visit when the food quality was fantastic. It’s a case of quality of quantity.

Love bright space with really friendly staff

The Bake House reopens with an eat-in lunch menu. Absolutely fabulous. Really enjoyed our lunch today- Prawn Marie Rose subs with coleslaw and dressed salad and looking forward to post Covid full opening with full menu. Meanwhile, we will continue to enjoy Laura's hospitality at our go-to weekend eaterie.

Top notch, lovely people and amazing food

I have been going into the Bakehouse for the past 5years and was probably one of the first customers laura had.laura and her team led by meg have become a firm fixture in Greatmoor nothing is too much trouble they are very very children friendly new mums , knitting groups, church groups school mums , dogs, and not forgetting amazing afternoon teas and just recently a book club every 6weeks l think!!! Anyway this reveiw has been a long time coming and in those 5years l have seen such a sense of community well done laura , meg and the team you so so deserve it.

Usually lovely. Don’t buy a drink before you ask the price. £2.75 for a 330 ml bottle of Coke Zero. Expensive because it’s in a glass bottle! What?????

A truly lovely cafe for all ages. It is clean, welcoming and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is dog-friendly and has different types of seating for your comfort. A large selection of drinks and food and the afternoon tea is delicious! It is a bit pricey, but it's a great place for a get-together

This was a really cute cafe! The staff were friendly and the lady in the kitchen was really helpful and had a lot of knowledge on veganism! I ordered the veggie breakfast but made vegan and it was delicious and filling! The vegan sausages they have were so tasty! Nice interior!

Good ambiance and quality food, but a bit expensive

Cute cafe with lovely decor. There is a good selection of hot drinks and sweet treats. Didn’t have lunch but the food looked nice. The staff were super lovely and really made the visit more pleasant.

The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Very child orintated.They have high chairs toilet seat for younger children.Toy Box for the children.Also toilet is very clean with a pull down changing unit to change babies on. Food is excellent.
