Whitby's Fish and Chip restaurant in Doncaster

We went at 12 noon and glad we did because the restaurant soon got really busy. 5 of us had fish and chips, mine gluten free, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the meals. Great service and friendly staff. It is quite expensive but ok for a treat! Desserts looked very nice but we were all full from our meals.

Gone right down hill last few weeks take small burnt fish hardly any chips not worth the 21 pound for cod chips and peas and chip butty 2 breadcakes

Great atmosphere.brilliant booths for privacy.fast and efficient service. We orders meals and was there within 5mins.really freindly staff.also food delicious. Steak pie to die for.deserts also delish.apple crumble and brownies .best latte I've had for ages excellent.

We went as a family of 10…. 7 adults and 3 children for my birthday. Fish and chips were ok although the waitress was abrupt and not what I would call friendly. Obviously knew it was my birthday as I had a birthday sash and was opening cards and presents but never even acknowledged me… Both me and my daughter shared some rice pudding which was the only thing we had different to anyone else. During the night we both had very uncomfortable stomachs with bloating and pain and thought we were going to be sick. After a sleepless night we both had really bad diarrhea. We had not eaten since breakfast so it could only be what we had eaten there. Not wanting anyone else to be served with suspect rice pudding I phoned the restaurant. The lady who answered wasn’t really coming and just said oh sorry about that…. I didn’t expect the world but I thought when they say customer satisfaction is important to them they would have took our Number and maybe rang back to see if we had recovered. They didn’t even ask our name and I’m not confident they will even follow this up. The meal and drinks with desserts cost over £200 so not a cheap treat and definitely not worth getting ill for. Im not happy how my complaint was dealt with when someone old or vulnerable could be really ill if they get the same as us.

Nothing wrong with the food that was lovely as always never had a bad meal yet , don’t usually have an issue with staff, visited on Tuesday ,one lady we’ve never seen before just seemed very miserable, never said hello just said is it 4, find a table not the usual pleasant greeting we get maybe she was having an off day

Not normally one to complain but just had to make a comment about our recent visit. We had a takeaway which was ordered by my wife as I am disabled so I stopped in the car. She ordered large chips cod and a large battered sausage. Couldn't believe what I saw when she came out the box lid was not fully shut. When she got in the car is was obvious the box was smaller than previously, when we got home the fish was smaller than normal and squashed. Over 15 pounds for squashed food this is not acceptable Whitby's, I can understand trying to save cost but not at the expense of the Customer we shall not be returning.

2 course meal and a pint for £20 PP. Went for a family occasion.The Food was Great,Everyone in the Party Enjoyed it .We will be back again soon and would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of visiting this Restaurant.

Absolutely disgusting. Don't know about double fried , the chips and gravy looked like they were last nights. They charge all that money and make out they are cooking as fish shops used to. Chips went straight in bin they were that bad. Wish I'd taken a photo before binning them. Never again will I go.

We are regulars in the restaurant, it is normally fairly good. On this occasion we went to the takeaway, the chips were black, but didn't seem cooked through (?) Quite disappointing and I'm surprised that they were served like that. It has put me off going to Whitbys. With so many other outlets I feel that things need to improve in order to retain customers.

We have been going to Whitby's for several years and it has always been okay. However our visit last Friday wasn't. My husband's regular fish and chips were fine. I had a small haddock and chips. The fish was thin and dry, not meaty at all. Some of the chips although very dark on the outside were not cooked all the way through. I didn't enjoy my meal.

Visited on a Sunday evening at around 6pm. No way to book online but restaurant was practically empty and we were seated fast (although the car park was very busy). Service was great and cannot fault speed of food. We really enjoyed the food and left very full. We paid £67 for 2 fizzy drinks, 1 dilute, 1 pint of beer, 1 regular cod of chips, curry sauce, 2X sausage and chips, 1 kids meal, and 2 desserts. - £4.25 for a pint of unbranded fizzy drink is quite expensive and there was not much selection. - 60p for a singular slice of bread and butter was abit steep (also lost points as they cut it in half which we didn’t want & very sparsely buttered). - Sausage and chips was only available as 2 jumbo sausages- wish they did an option for just one sausage. - Fish and chips did not come with a side (e.g curry sauce, gravy or peas), but most other meals did. This makes you pay extra for it and I do think it should be included in price. - As a side for the other meals the menu says your options are peas or beans, but if you ask you can swap to have curry sauce or gravy- I think menu could do with updating. - Online booking would be nice as other reviews made out it was going to be very busy, which almost put us off coming. - They did have lots of Gluten free options though which was very nice to see! Overall, slightly overpriced in our opinion as it was nice, but did just taste like our chippy from back home. Made a nice change for a meal out, but wouldn’t rush back. They do have a takeaway on the side serving the same food for much cheaper if you are local ;)

Excellent food, staff and location with plentyof parking spaces. Good choice and value for money, I would definitely eat here again should I be in the area.

We have visited Whitbys nearly every week for many many years, normally the food and service are spot on. We have had the odd meal tht wasn't up to their normal standards. But never complained, as the majority of the food is quite good. We visited yesterday and ordered the regular Haddock, we were advised they were doing an extra large haddock special for £16.95. So I went for the extra large special. After a longer wait than usual our meals arrived, the extra large haddock was the same size as the regular one, I asked the waitress about it and she said it goes on weight so it must be thicker. When we started eating our chips they were warm at best, I attracted the same waitress attention when she was passing, she felt at the chips and said she would bring us some more, as we had nearly finished our fish we declined the offer. She apologised and said she would pass our comments back to the kitchen. We paid our bill of £33.49, we normally leave a generous tip but declined on this occasion. It will be a long time, if ever, we will return to our "Go to" Fish and chip Restaurant.

They cook in beef dripping, as a pescatarian I asked for it to be be cooked in vegetable oil instead and got told this is not an option, ended up having a salad which to me goes against the whole point in going to a fish and chip restaurant. It’s 2021 and you should be catering for all life style choices, not everyone wants their food cooked in dead cow.My daughter doesn’t like chips so we asked for just sausage and that wasn’t an option either so I had to pay for chips and beans that she didn’t eat.Very disappointed and unless they cater for other diets we cannot go back again

As a man who is incredibly experienced with Whitby, I was quite disappointed with the service i was greeted with. For starters the wait to get in was a while but i can understand this as covid was bigger then it is now. Secondly a waiter took our order for drinks and never came back. It was only when we said we were waiting on drinks when another waiter came over for our drinks to arrive. Following this very kind waiters service, we asked for a high chair. Yet again it came 15 mins after we asked for it. Anyway our food came after a long wait and it was quite nice. Very expensive but nice.

Me and my parents went to Whitby’s seafood restaurant sadly the service wasn’t that great as most of their staff had their backs to us as if we weren’t there that was very rude of them I need gluten free and I am not sure the chocolate ice cream tasted gluten free . I felt a bit sick and Unwell after the meal but I don’t know if I would want to return

It is the first time I have used the takeaway side due to the pandemic. I’ve never had an issue with service here however there is clearly a difference in staffing on the takeaway side. The lady that took my order was incredibly rude got my order wrong and then accuse me of being wrong. Basic customer service terribly wrong, doubt I will bother visiting again after this. Not one member of staff behind the till wearing a face mask very unsafe practices minimal social distancing from the staff behind too. It’s ok making customers wait outside for the orders to keep you safe 100% agree but what procedures do your staff have in place to keep the customers safe.

We will definitely not be eating here again, well over priced £29 for two meals and a kids meal, the kids meal we had to pay 50p for peas the pie meal was so dry and tough, my wife’s fish pie was ok service was good but the food was shocking

We had a meal here the other Saturday evening with the Family, couldn't fault the service from when we got there until we left in these difficult times.Food was very good, just one downside with eating in the restaurant I thought it was expensive for Fish & Chips but couldn't fault the quality.

We had a table booked for 5:30, ordered straight away but had to wait over 20 min for food. Waitress returned at 6:20 to clear away plates and we said we wanted puddings. She implied that we didn’t have time for puddings as we only had 1 hour slot. Luckily we knew what we wanted without having to see the menu again and we were allowed to order. No chance of coffee!!!

I don’t live in the area but my family do and when I visit them we always come to Whitby’s. I love it, usually.Today’s experience though was shocking. We booked a table for 5.30. Turned up early so did expect to wait but come 5.30 our table still wasn’t ready. 10 minutes later it was, after having to stand outside in the 30 degree heat with no shelter for my elderly relatives. Sat down, table felt sticky. Took 10 minutes for someone to take our order for any drinks and then they wanted us to order drinks and food at once. Ok, I guess it saves time. Anyway 20 minutes later still waiting for said drinks, which we all needed after being stood outside in the heat. They arrived and then food shortly after. Food was all fine, same standard as usual, but cod seemed a bit greasy. A few of our party wanted desserts. Asked for dessert menu and also for another round of drinks as we were thirsty as it was a hot day. Order desserts as well. 3 of the 4 desserts arrived and 3 of the 4 drinks. I queried the remaining drink and dessert and said it would be here. 10 minutes later the drink arrived but still missing a dessert so asked again. Once everyone else had finished their desserts mine still hadn’t arrived so I had to ask again for it. It arrived and the waitress said ‘oh I didn’t hear you ask for that’ and I said yeah you did because you asked me what ice cream flavour I wanted.....!!!When I started my dessert the waitress brought the bill over and said, how long are you going to be because we need the table for our next customers. I mean in all my 30 odd years on this planet I’ve never, ever been asked that in a restaurant. At the moment they are only allowing 90 minute slots, which is fine if the ordering and serving process was faultless, but the excessive waiting and mistakes caused us to be there longer, but we were made to feel like criminals.I certainly won’t be rushing back anytime soon. Food is good, but they need more staff and those they do have need better service skills! The 90 minute slot is a joke - all they care about is coining it in.

Ordered Cod & chips and waited a good 10 minutes to get my food packaged nicely in a box & bag. Sadly on opening the box, I had an over cooked over crispy haddock which I would have took back had I stayed in the car park long enough to open the box and inspect the contents. The fish, chips and beans + tartar sauce cost £10.60 which I consider too expensive as the fish size was well below average, it was overcooked, dry and the batter greasy and hard. I will be contacting the restaurant to let them know and will feed back their response.

We have been to Whitbys several times and were not disappointed by our visit today. Had to book due to the gov scheme and it being a popular restaurant. Whitbys was well organised and the team informed us that tables were booked for 1:30 hour. The restaurant was clean, tables well separated and staff wore masks. Once the food was ordered we did not have to wait very long to be served. The service was efficient but not as friendly as it could have been. The food was very good quality and the portions sizes were very good. Eating here is reasonably priced but with the discount it’s exceptional. We will be back when we visit Yorkshire again.

The Cod was really dry, all around the edges were chewy and hard not edible, the chips went cold within minutes and had a horrible taste to them. We all felt sick and left half of the meal.

This was our first visit to Whitby's after the lockdown and we were very impressed that the social distancing rules had been very well observed. We felt completely safe, as the tables had been spaced out and the staff were all observing the rules and cleaning the tables regularly. The fish and chips are always excellent here and we know that we can feel safe on our future visits. If anyone is worried about venturing out here after the Covid crisis, fear not! We are extremely happy to give Whitby's our full support next time we are in the area.

Whitby’s wasn’t busy this afternoon. I asked for gluten free cod bites! I got 2.5 cod bite n chips! An hour round trip for 2.5 cod bites! Lesson learnt.

Love going to Whitby’s usually go to the restaurant and has always been nice but not been since lockdown so tried the takeaway today.... big mistake the fish we had were more like minnows than cod and were so thin, I almost thought it was a joke when we opened the boxes. On top of that the fish was so dry it was in edible it was like chewing jerk beef and the chips were not much better either.

Collected today. Very happy with the experience. - staff in masks- perspex window for cashier- 2m markers for queue- 1 in 1 out inside - food brought to you and left 2m awayThank you for putting all of this in place and for opening.Food was great as always too.

Had a bad experience here about 8 weeks ago so decided to give them another go this week ,nothing has changed ended up getting our cods refunded due to the lack of cod !Didn't get table checked again ,the staff were only interested in a big table booking for around 20 people I've had fatter fish fingers

First visit to this resurant, it opened at 11.30 and people where waiting for the doors to open and when sat down inside a steady flow of customers coming in.We had Haddock and Chips Tea and Bread and Butter, the fish was white and the chips cooked just right, a very nice experience and reasonably priced.

Excellent quality fish and chip teatime meal in comfortable and relaxed surroundings. Very good value for money. A Rotherham gem.

Had a Beautiful poached cod salad, husband had haddock and chips also enjoyed. Service was a little slow.

Best fish and chips in England. We are here every Friday. Very consistent every week. The food can’t be beaten.

Whitby's likes to think its the best, and has lots of newspaper clippings on the wall to priove the point. The best things in life cost, and you dotn mind paying that bit extra for the best. However, you expect your food freshly cooked, you dont want reheated chips from an earlier session, and thats what we got.

It was abusy lunchtime was sat down in 2 mins food and drink ordered in 5 minsFood arrived hot and tasty within 10 minsCan't fault it. Service food and staff Fish was fresh as can be considering we were not on the sea front. Will definitely come again

I’d spent ages looking for somewhere to stop between Colchester and Mirfield. I’m so pleased we stopped at Whitby’s! Plenty of parking, clean, lovely service and excellent food. I had fish and chips and my son homemade steak pie. The pie was oozing meat and looked like a proper old fashioned pie. Highly recommend.

We visits here on a regular basis and enjoy the experience but our last 2 visits we have had poor quality food. Thought the first time was a one off so visited again but unfortunately it wasn’t a one off . Fish was dry with tons of batter and chips on the cold side. Would have complained but my parents get embarrassed ,but would have if I wasn’t with them.

Got fishcake and chips. The fishcake tasted like it had been reheated and the inside well I don't know what fish it was but it was like a coaster. The chips were just about bearable. We used to go several times and they were beautiful I don't know what's happening

Would recommend visiting here. Nice restaurant, and the fish and chips are just like they are at Whitby. The curry sauce is also excellent.

we visited Whitby's fish and chip restaurant on the 25 October 2019, I and my wife take her uncle out to different places, be it the uncle likes Whitby's fish and chips.

Can't beat English fish and chips and this place was very good!!! The staff and service was timely and the food delicious!!

Just Bn to Whitbys for me & my disabled mother & I bought large cod chips & peas & cod were full of batter & it’s were small & the chips were disgusting old & hard & the peas were Luke warm & I got a plaice for my mum & it wernt cooked properly so she couldn’t eat it even the dogs turned there nose up at it !!! I’m very disappointed when I’ve just spent over £12 to chuck it in the bin , it use to be lovely & it’s gone down hill big time ! I will never ever go there again absolutely rubbish!! So thanks whitbys for spoiling my Sunday lunch never again

With all the weather that has gone on my wife has had to work even though there was no customers and no way of her getting home because all roads around had been shut off coz of flooding she had to wade up to her stomach trough freezing cold water what has come from the river and sewers but all what the management can thing is profit even though there was no customers how can they call themselves management when they put money before staffs health and safety ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING and don't get me started on the food

What a gem, went for dinner with family had the poached fish and what a delight it was. Will be back most definitely

Great fish and chips, cater for customers with celiac ( Gluten Free ) reasonable prices, potion sizes vary and different occasions. Some staff could be a little more pleasant when servicing. Would we visit again?? Definitely

Went here for lunch, 4 adults and a child under 2. Staff gave us a warm welcome and we got seating straight away. Place is lovely and clean and a good amount of pace between tables so you are not cramped in. Service was excellent and menu great. This is a fish restaurant so don't be upset if you are not a fish lover. Also a children's menu. Food was excellent, so hot and fresh. Wish they had this restaurant down south.

I visited here with my uncle and kids on a Sunday, when we arrived there were only a few people in, and by the time we left it was quite busy.

Lovely fish and chips here, sat in the restaurant. So nice there is a gluten free option. Very good portions. Service ok. Price good. Would highly recommend. You can get take away too.

Superb fish and chips. Popped in after the St. Leger races today. Although busy, we were shown to a table as soon as we walked in. Very clean, waitress served us after just a couple of minutes, our meal was served piping hot in around 5 minutes. Can not fault it in anyway. Note your table number is on the table leg base, just a little thing we overlooked.

Used to be a great chippy but awful now. I've had less chewy toffee than the chips they're currently serving.

Popped in whilst on a journey. Never been before. Not so sure I would go again. The food , good fish, ok chips lovely mushy peas. Decor good, fresh and bright. But the staff. Apart from the lady in the blue and white striped shirt who escorted someone to their table as we left. Half asleep. Walking around like their Duracell batteries were about to fade to nothing. They kept us waiting to be seated whilst huddled chatting in a corner. Once seated they all went to another corner for a natter. Whilst we were eating slowly they all met up to add a knife and fork to a table whilst huddled together again. Very odd. They blonde lady needs to speak to them all. Sort the staff and I think you will have a great place here.

This place is amazing for fish and chips, if you are gluten free like me then its so easy to order, its quick, they have a dedicated fryer so no cross contamination and the best thing - they charge the same as the normal fish and chips!! They have gluten free vinegar and its not a huge ask like it sometimes is in restaurants. The only problem is that if I go anywhere else - nothing tastes as good as here!!

Fantastic food. Best fish and chips restaurant by far. The Batter is so light and crispy and you can have a choice of what you want your fish cooked in. Great choice and high standard of cleanliness. Very helpful staff and Don is my favourite.

My other half and myself were loking a good fish and chips restaurant at Sheffield's area and of course we found it. I have to say the battered fish it's very well cooked and dessert was amazing. The service is very kind as well. We'll return, no doubt :)

It was vey busy but we were seated promptly orders were taken and food arrived hot and fresh, fish chips, mushy peas, gravy, bread and butter and a cuppa really enjoyed it. Staff were discreet but there when you wanted them

Stopped for meal before driving home. Ordered haddock and chips from one of the many staff. My meal came and I ate a piece of the fish, it was covered in oil as were the chips. The waiter came over and I showed her the food and she said they would bring another one. Shortly after she brought another meal for me to eat, the second meal was exactly the same as the first drowned in oil. I ate the white of the fish and a few chips as that was more than enough. Wow what a disappointment.

Called in Friday 12th July lunchtime appeared as though waitress wasn’t interested. Sat down asked for pot of tea whilst we decided what we ordered for lunch. Told her we wanted it as quick as she could. Aprox 15 minutes told waitress to cancel tea as we had waited too long. She just shrugged and walked , didn’t see her again. Another waitress came with tea informed her we had cancelled tea. She apologised saying she had only just come on duty. Due to amount of time we had waited for it. Then starter arrived.

One word could sum this place up

Free parking. The restaurant is bigger than you would imagine from outside and spotlessly clean. The staff although young were eager to serve and seated us quickly even though the place was very busy. All the family had Fish and Chips even though they had many other choices on the menu. The food came out quite quickly and was delicious, even the mushy peas were good. Tea was served in cups and the whole theme reminded me of day trips to the coast with my parents long ago. All in all a great dining experience. Would highly recommend.

We have been many times without any issues, the food was always perfect, the fish was pure white and plentiful however the last two visits have been extremely disappointing, on our previous visit the fish was over cooked and wafer thin, I did complain to the waiter and he was more than happy to remove the fish from the bill, there were three other people that complained as their fish was as bad as ours, we called again yesterday, hoping our last visit was a one off, sadly things had not improved, this visit was our last, it’s back to the local chippy from now on.......

Ok this was great and as such Car park good and Fish and Chips good quick service. The STAR was sticky Toffee Pud this was outstanding

It must be said that the location is not the most inspiring being surrounded by a large Morrisons supermarket and various other factory units. However once inside that is all forgotten thanks to some good decor, comfortable seating and a noticeable busy feeling. Service is generally swift but pleasant. The menu is not extensive or widely varied but the fish and chips are good, the steak pie is very tasty and they do a good range of salads. Desserts tend to be the usual dates of steamed puddings, crumbled and a number of ice cream concoctions. But the food is good quality with generous rather than humongous portions. Very ejoyable.

This is the very best fish and chip shop. Fantastic food. Great variety of food and drink. Beautiful restaurant lots of space. Usual the service is top notch. Dom who served us was great but Emma tall girl with blonde hair in a ponytail needs to tell her face to smile and not throw the crockery on the table and more to the point not to throw the food and drink at the customers either. She’s either new or just couldn’t be bothered but she won’t put me of going back I’ll just mark her out of 10 the next time

A good percentage of the staff here are extremely miserable unable to smile and just can't be arsed.

Food to be honest was superb, however every single waitress and server did not want to be there, never seen such misery and unhappiness since going to a funeral. A real shame really as the food was brilliant.

My wife and I visited this fish and chip restaurant for an evening meal. We have used this venue many times since it first opened, and was satisfied with the food, but on this occasion my cod and chips didn’t come up to the usual standard, the cod was thin and over cooked with little taste. I told the manager at the time, but he wasn’t that interested and made excuses about the amount of fish his staff were able to cut over a day. I felt more should be done to source quality fish.

Visited here on Monday. Being a celiac the fact that I could come here and have gluten free food excited me.

Went for lunch with wife and grandaugter been before always good and today was good again me and the wife had small Haddock and chips which is big enough for us and grandaugter had cod bites which she enjoyed plus ice cream they were all good value went down to Rick Stein in Padstow he charged 27 pounds for fish chips same quality the only gripe i have is give the kids a choice of bites or small fish plus include bread and butter in with the adults price rather than charge all the extras and include kids ice cream in with the kids price I know it sounds like nit picking but it would look better

Good food though Sacmp potion was v small place v small getting in and out is prob long queue food was good tased and fresh

We had our business meal here. Fantastic food, great friendly staff. Very clean. Amazing portion size for the price. If your in the area well worth a visit. Does get busy though.

Called as we were passing and it was lunch time. Very pleased we did. My husband and I had cod and chips(I chose to have floured instead of batter which is not always an option in a restaurant). The fish was beautifully cooked and there was no grease on the plates. We had a little wait for our food but the restaurant was busy and the meal was worth the wait. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again and would recommend this restaurant.

Had the scampi and chips peas and was washed down with a pint of johns .my good lady had cod chips and peas witch she looked happy with her meal .little girl ad sausage and all the trimmings and a coke not got bill yet but id think bout 35 quid and every one happy this review is written at my table and i score it a 4 its on par with weatherbay wailer .would defo come again nice seatin and not rushed

Nice takeaway but really busy on a Friday night so can be quite hard to find a parking space. We preferred going in the week and having a meal in the restaurant instead to make an evening out of it.

Visited today for lunch.yummy to the tummy.had haddock and chips. Bread n butter and a cup of tea. The batter was crispy and the fish was gorgeous big flakes. For.dessert we had the knickerbocker glory. Lovely meal

Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff food is fantastic well worth a visit, parking is good and easy access.

We have visited a number of time and the fish is always fantastic great chips. If you have room the deserts are great too. I like the options of how you like the fish,. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, even when very busy.

You can choose how you want your fish cooked, with or without skin? Batter, breadcrumbs or just floured? Poached? Chips or potatoes? Salad? ALL of it is JUST YUMMY xxx We are going again soon Never again will you say Just Fish N Chips!

Our visit was to the restaurant, they also have take away. Fast seating, service, food and drink FIRST CLASS. The fish was cooked to perfection. We cannot fault the visit ! a little expensive eg Rice Pudding over £4. Fish meal well worth price, no rush to leave your table smiles from staff all round. If you have never been...It is a must try...We will return ASAP.

Finding allergy friendly restaurants can be difficult so when Whitby’s were recommended we decided to give them a try. We were not disappointed.

As a southern softie i never get really decent fish and chips I was working just up the road from this place ended up her for dinner and All i can say is I’m glad I did!! From the moment I entered and was greeted by friendly staff to to best tasting fresh cooked fish and chips and great tea to the surprisingly cheap bill it was all an unexpected pleasure can’t wait till I have to make the 5.5hr trip again well done and look after the new girl she’s a find and a great worker

All had lunch today and was ok after id changed 3 of the cups I’d been given to drink my tea out of. After that hurdle was pleasantly ok. It’s ok for a one off in a while.

Among the best fish n chips I have ever eaten, and having reached the ripe old age of 61 I must have sampled quite a few! Would have given 5 stars but a couple of the staff were a tad grumpy (others were very pleasant and polite) and the vinegar was Non Brewed Condiment not proper malt vinegar. I know this is also known as Chip Shop Vinegar but sorry it has to be malt for me!

Enjoy a great meal, served by very pleasant staff in a clean restaurant !!!!!!!!!! Staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Go to takeaway most Fridays as work across road and food is always good but service never on a par.This week after waiting for opening told would have to wait extra half hour due to large phone order so nothing left,really! You've lost my trade,absolutely diabolical

We called into restaurant on Wednesday 10th October. For Lunch the meal was very good nicely cooked fish very fresh, Pity it was on a cold plate, was pleasantly surprised by the no skimping of the butter on bread great.

Cannot fault anything about this restaurant. Excellent service. Superb food . Staff are a curtis and polite . Highly recommend 😊

Not a lot to say really, if you want good fish and chips with good service and don't fancy a trip to the coast go here and you won't be disappointed.

Visited for the first time and will deffo go again. Lovely tea crispy batter lovely white fish and lots of choices

Cannot fault this place. Excellent high quality fish, tasty, crispy, juicy. One of the best I’ve ever had! Good portions too. Staff very friendly and always available - they seem to employ so many people! Everything was great, including plenty of parking and very clean toilets.

Went for a birthday treat. Fish and chip we very good,batter on my fish nice and crispy. My wife’s fish was without batter,lovely and white,mushy peas very tasty. Just one small fault my slice of brown bread had a small spot of mould on one piece, pointed this out and were very apologetic and replaced all the bread. All in all we all enjoyed our meals and will visit again.
