Went for a carvery with all my family it was really nice very polite staff the food was really nice and the gravy was banging will definitely be back.

Had breakfast here , staff very friendly , coffee lovely . Had the unlimited cooked breakfast, £9.99 which includes continental. Was very disappointed in the cooked breakfast , everything lukewarm , mushrooms looked raw but dried up. Have always had great breakfast at Brewers fayre in Carlisle , but sadly breakfast at the Cheswold definetly came nowhere near it.

Good afternoon and the service from Sally g was excellent. There was nothing she wouldn't do to accommodate out visit. Plenty for the kids to do and you can eat and drink in the same room as the soft play. Happy days

We had off the menu smothered chicken and a carvery both meal we rated as very good. My meal consisted of a good sized portion of chicken overlaid with bacon cheese and tasty BBQ sauce the chicken was cooked to perfection not dry very tasty chips crispy on outside fluffy on Inside. It was accumpied by a side of coleslaw light salad and garlic bread. The carvery looked appitising the meat well cooked and vegetables looked fresh and plenty to choose from the meat was carved as I asked and was delicious all in all a very pleasant meal staff very friendly and what I like is the plates cleared away after you've eaten which they were. After not been for sometime we will be back soon keep up the standard

Food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were very Generous. The staff were lovely, especially Sally A who was very friendly and great with my 2 little ones. She also pointed us to the deal of 2 meals for a lower price on the back of the menu. The soft play is great, very clean and tidy and my 3 year old had so much to do there. Would highly recommend.

First time having breakfast at Cheswold Lodge Brewers Fayre, Doncaster. We fancied a change from the nearby Beefeater (same parent company - Whitbread). We got there for 9am, on a Saturday. Easy, free & ample parking. Spacious restaurant. Great value for money - 2 kids eat free with every paying adult (£10.99). Nice re-fillable coffee & juice. Food was topped up regularly. Bonus that the pastries were served warm-ish. We stayed pass the breakfast time but we were never once asked to leave (bearing in mind the restaurant wasn’t busy) which we appreciated as gave us a place to catch up. Great service by Scott - thank you very much for the fresh batch of pain au chocolat. Did a lovely walk (about an hour at leisure speed) round the lake to balance off the breakfast.

Fantastic pub and service, play area was really clean and staff very helpful. Sally in the play area deserves a special mention as made us feel very welcome and gave excellent customer service.

3rd time eating here. Absolutely fab place, food is a good price and very tasty. The staff are excellent, full of smiles and conversation, they make you feel very welcome. Went for lunch today with a closest friend. Went for lunch, it is our 3rd time coming, all 3 times who were really good. The two servers were on today were brilliant Sally G. Very informative of the meals we wanted and checked on us throughout the meal. The other lady (I didn't get the name off) came and had a general chit chat with us. Was greeted by lee within seconds and explained everything I needed to know. Very nice atmosphere around the place as usual. Lee the manager was excellent, he served me brought my food out and made sure everything was okay with my Chicken and ribs and was Very very satisfied once again. Mentions to heather who was also very friendly. Definitely reccomend this place to family and friends 👍

Sunday lunch after bowling.......we all enjoyed our meals . The carvery was delicious.........another green veg would be welcome , apart from peas. The puds were enjoyed and bottomless drinks. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Fantastic service from the friendly bar staff. Big stack burger and beef pie are excellent. Great spot to relax for the evening, especially when staying in the premier inn opposite. Lee is always on hand and has been a gentleman throughout my stay.

I was served by Sally G and she was AMAZING. She was very friendly and gave excellent service. My food was overcooked and Sally had changed it to a fresh one straight away with complimentary drink from the drink menu without hesitation. She was very approachable and had fast customer service. She was so calm and gentle when talking and serving food. I think she definitely deserves a pay rise!!!!! Lovey Lady :) 12/10

Amazing service and food! The food was lovely, came out warm and exactly as we wanted it. Our servers, Amy and Mel, were lovely too! The atmosphere is great as well, nice and warm inside. Cannot recommend enough.

Unless you like lukewarm food and poor service, avoid at all costs! I didn't expect haute cuisine from a chain, but I also didn't expect such dreadful service. I arrived at 6pm and waited a while at the door before an unhappy young man sullenly told me to sit l anywhere I liked. I found a table and when 15 minutes had passed but still nobody had came to take my order, I went to the bar where a very pleasant and helpful young woman apologised and explained that the man should have told me that orders needed fo be placed at the bar. I ordered food and drink, and paid at 18:17. The restaurant was not busy - perhaps a quarter to a third full, but my food arrived exactly 30 minutes later, at 18.47. It not only looked dull and unappealing, it was also lukewarm. The steak was cooked exactly as I'd ordered it, but soft, tepid fries, cold hard peas and a cool steak were not what I would have expected - particularly not for nearly £14. The cold greasy onion rings made feel a bit queasy. There are lots of places to eat in this location. I highly recommend trying ANY of them, before eating here.

Steaks were very good but like a curates egg the experience was only good in parts. Despite asking three times to the point of embarrassment, desserts did not arrive and we gave up after waiting 57 minutes after the main course plates were cleared. I’m really unsure whether it was a deliberate response to having asked twice two many times or what. Go figure.
