Pisces Fish Bar in Doncaster

I don't understand the bad reviews! We found this place by accident after driving around and we are obsessed! The chips are beaut, the gravy is beaut, the sausages are beaut not cheap! And my cousins said the beans are also nice. Really dont understand the bad reviews cos everything is nice and the staff are lovely :)

Been to this chippy for years however today it was awful. Chips were black / grey in the middle. The batter on the fish was awful as well

I have been coming to this place for a number of years, however tonight it was terrible, some change has occured. This is either new ownership or a change in produce, like the review below, the batter was horrible and so were the chips, I think they have changed the oil, I will not be returning. A real shame.

We have used this Takeaway many times and never been disappointed, but we didn't realise that this Takeaway had been taken over. I am afraid we wasn't happy with the meal, portion size were huge, we ordered large cod, they were very big, covered in thick batter which was not cooked, had to scrape the batter off to eat the fish, we will not be using this Takeaway until we hear some better reviews.

Live local & called by on a whim & so glad I did. Staff are warm, friendly & efficient. Food good quality & good value. I can see why this place is busy

Maximum 2 customers at a time in the chip shop. i couldn't see any hand sanitiser. Masks should be worn indoors of course. I had the night time special fish and chips for 4.80 with mushy peas. Pretty decent fish and chips.

Lunch time speial. Small cod and chips, plus either a sausage or a fish cake,and either a sauce or mushy peas £3.70. Excellent value, quality food

My husband and I frequently bought fish from Pisces. The fish is crispy on the outside, and flaky on the inside. The chips are proper chips, big fat chips you can sink your teeth into. The restaurant is immaculate as are the staff. After my husband passed away, eating fish and chips were not high on my list, but to celebrate his birthday I invited the.family over for a meal, and ordered from Pisces. Nine dinner specials, were ordered ahead of time, when we arrived they were just packing everything up for us. Smiles all around from the staff and from us after we took it home to eat! My grandson who doesn't usually eat fish and chips ate everything, his younger sister left a few chips but scored someone's left over fish and mushy peas. No more standing over a cooker, I will let Pisces do a bang up job. They know how to do fish and chips!

Ordered over the phone, the order was cooked as requested well done large Cod with a large chips and peas, it was far better than Whitby's or Lonsdale, highly recommended.

Just popped into this chippy on the way home from the cinema. The young man who served us was polite, friendly and professional. I can’t put my finger on why but it was the best service I’d experienced for a while. Our chips and curry was lovely too.

I ordered the night time meal deal fish and chips for 4.50. They asked what sauce I wanted. I went for mushy peas. You can have them on top or in a separate container. The fish was medium sized. The fish and chips was decent and filling

I’ve been the happy recipient of their quality chish n fips for some time time. I have to admit I have frequented other establishments around the area but they are nowhere in comparison when it comes to customer service, quality, cleanliness and value for money. Keep up the good work folks.

Best fish shop in Doncaster staff are brilliant the shop is spotless wouldn't go anywhere else different choices of food to choose from prices are fantastic

First of all the staff are fantastic,always greet you with a smile,secondly the quality of the food is superb in all honesty since discovering this gem I have not used another fish and chip shop in the whole of Doncaster,in my opinion second to none
