Delivery was very late and arrived a meal short. The food itself just tasted of salt. They are letting Whitby down big time.

Was in Whitby for just the day and was looking forward to taking a Chinese back to where we were staying in Robin Hoods Bay. We placed our order online to collect for 4pm. The opening time was from 3pm. We went to withdraw cash (strange you can’t pay online) and then on to collect. Arrived at 4pm and it was shut. I called to find out what was going on and the man who answered couldn’t sound more careless and said they’re opening in about another 30 minutes. No apology, nothing. I even asked if he had my order and he didn’t seem to know. Why have your opening times for 3pm and accept online orders if you cannot be bothered to open on time? I will never waste my time with them again.

Wow, lovely freshly made Chinese and thai, great range great value, huge portions. one of the best ordering websites, we ordered and collected and was ready when said.. very quick. thai dim sums fab !

We waited an hour and a half for delivery of cold tasteless food. It cost £35 for 2 people. We had the mixed starter which consisted of prawn toast fingers, soggy sping rolls and chicken nuggets. The ribs were ok to be fair but it was all cold. The crispy sea weed was sprinkled on top like a garnish. My hubby was quite Happy with his sweet and sour chicken but I have to say my special vermacelli was dreadful it was just bland noodles with some bland meat and not much of that. No chilli, no veg, no taste what do ever. I can honestly say this was the worst Chinese meal I have ever had.

We’ve had food from here once before which was just ok. We ordered again last night and all meals were so bland but the worst part was £7.50 for doner meat and chips, which was a portion of chips with a scattering of cremating pieces of meat on top. I took it back but I was accused of eating some of it!! And then they agreed to put some more on which was a similar scattering. Total rubbish value, bland food and rude staff.

Says on website that ‘in rare occasions it takes over 45 mins” for food to arrive ring the restaurant. Rang up after an hour and they were blunt and rude, said the driver was leaving in 15 and I replied saying that it would have been 1hr 15 then and he replied “yeah we’re busy”. Hoped the food would make up for the service but they got the order wrong, asked for bbq chicken wings. Got pieces of chicken in sauce and pad thai was bland.

What a great little find this is , perfect food and location Food cooked freshly and served perfect to tuck in on a walk along plentyful portions and great flavours

Absolutely appalling! Waited nearly 2 hours for a delivery even though the time given was 45 minutes. Food arrived with a tiny bag of prawn crackers as way of an apology. Food was poor quality, full of onions to bulk out the boxes and the chips were about a dozen soggy fries. Absolutely disgusting waste of money and not sure how this place is still going.

We couldn't find any of the delivery Apps delivering in Whitby. But Whitby Wok delivered to our holiday flat. The food can be ordered directly from their Web site and arrived well within their estimated time of 45 minutes. The food was good and was in the large containers. One large rice was enough for the two of us.

We've had takeaways from Whitby Wok many times and it is always fantastic. Really good quality ingredients and so tasty

Ordered a takeaway Friday night I paid £2 delivery a £1 for delivery man and never brought my change back .make sure you have the right money.

Went to the kiosk and ordered Singapore vermicelli and asked for no peppers in it and a small prawn toast, they were very busy so wait time was about 20min, my order was takeout not to eat straight away as I was staying in my van about a 20 min walk away, the prawn toast was nice but when I got back to my van to eat the vermicelli there wasn't a single piece of meat in there!! Now everywhere else I've ordered the same dish from has meat in it and I certainly didn't order a veggie one as I don't see the point and I'm not vegetarian! I was very disappointed and couldn't take it back as I was a 20 min walk away, the vermicelli was also extremely spicy not to my taste.

we live in whitby and ordered a takeway , never in my life have i had to pay ror such descusting food ,cost £30 , it all went in the bin ,all i can say is that if you want a takeaway from here DONT .

Ordered a takeaway while on holiday in Captin Cooks Haven, although the busy, delivery was easy card payment was easy. Portion sizes are not to big, we had beef in black bean sauce, crispy chilli beef, salt and chilli chicken bites, great taste and full of flavour.

Didn't fancy cooking so placed an order. Sadly, the food was awful and only fit for the bin, laced a review to the Wok and they didn't bother to reply. Green curry had small amounts of rubbery chicken and huge lumps of ginger. Clearly, they are cutting back but for over £50 not acceptable at all. The prawn toast was very rubbery, the crispy seaweed covered in sugar. All in all, the worst takeaway we have ever had with no care taken. I wish I had looked at other reviews, people don't place them without reason.

Absolutely delicious food, my daughter finally got to try bubble tea and loved it. Fast delivery. Would definitely recommend.

You could easily walk past this unassuming takeaway. However, they offer great tasty food, which is cooked to order.

Ordered Thai for collection - bang on time, lovely food at a great price - recommended! Thai and Chinese food available, don't know how they manage it in a tiny hut on the harbour!

Situated on the harbour across from the arcades, this chinese takeaway is amazing! They use quality ingredients and perform miracles within their tiny outlet. I can highly recommend the beef curry, perfect if you don't like it too spicy.

Man who seemed to be running the restaurant was very rude, waited 75 minutes and was not told it would take this long, food was average and found small black hairs throughout meal, BIN.

Should have paid attention to the other reviews on here! This is literally just a kiosk on the pier and as such they did fine in terms of having a broad and varied menu, cheap food and friendly staff. However the food was almost inedible....

Nothing positive to say about this kiosk. They charged us more than the advertised prices outside ‘we’ve been too busy to change them’, and we waited over an hour for a fairly straightforward order. All in all I’d avoid it folks and go elsewhere!

Good food and piping hot on delivery. Don't listen to the negative reviews give this place a try. Only small problem is that they don't take cards when you web order and expect cash on arrival. A rare thing in this day and age.

Freshly cooked dishes good flavours. It's easy to order on line, we picked up and the order was ready at the time requested. There is an extensive menu.

We have eaten here twice and found it to be very good on both occasions. The menu is varied and all the dishes we've tried tasted fresh & flavoursome. The delivery service was very good. Would definitely use again.
