Everything well over cooked. Crispy beef so over done you didn't know it had beef in it. Chow mein tasteless. Possibly worst takeaway chinese I've had.

Just had my food delivered to caravan site was not really expecting much but I was so wrong I think it was the best Singapore I have ever had everyone else in the party really enjoyed it

I ordered from here on a recommendation from a friend, I walked in ordered and sat and waited it wasn't long before we had our food, I had special fried rice there was loads of meat and really big pieces all cooked perfectly, my mum had S&S chicken balls there were 10 altogether and they were large, neither of us could finish it as the portions were huge, mine was warmed up the next day ;), told my husband we need to go back so he can try the menu, based on the more negative reviews I probably would have avoided this place but having tried it myself I can confirm my order was lovely and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

For the 2nd week running we have had a Chinese from here last week they said 30 mins and it was clap cold tonight they said 30 mins again, turned up after 15 mins and it was ready and waiting, good job I didn’t turn up any later as this was Luke warm.The problem is when the kids are on and taking phone orders they aren’t bothered as they are to busy on there phones they are also ignorant and have no manners. The food is normally good but last 2 occasions it’s been disappointing.

Have been a long standing customer. Throughout that time it is hit or miss. It's either genuinely delicious or it's awful. The inedible kind of awful. Tonight we had one awful meal too many and unfortunately won't be returning. It's a shame as I've been ordering here for years. But enough is enough.

Incompetent. They almost always get the order wrong. You need to check that you've got what you asked for before you leave the shop as they frequently get it wrong.

This is our nearest Chinese takeaway, I would say more often than not it’s not bad but there’s been the couple of times it wasn’t brilliant, hard chips or not very hot etc, the friendly lady on the phone is very thorough.

Don't even bother. If I could give 0 stars I would do. This takeaway is located less than 10 mins from us. Gave the benefit of the doubt on our last order, but this Chinese continues to disappoint. Submitted an order at 1755, requesting delivery at 1900 to 1915. At 1930 the order still hadn't arrived. Contacted the restaurant to be told it was with the driver and would be there imminently. 30 mins goes by and another phone call and after being left on hold for 5 minutes, to hear 4 orders accepted. I was told that the driver would be there shortly again, I said that this was not acceptable and some kind of compensation needed to be given. At which point I was told I could cancel the order and not receive food but no refund could be given. After a trip to the local shop to get something for tea, I arrived back home at the same time as the delivery driver. Now 20:15. Said to the driver that I had cancelled the order, and that it taken over 2hrs. Said I would accept the food but he refused. Appalling service from start to finish. No not go here.

Gave benefit of the doubt as being in a small village you'd think service would improve. Booked for a 45 min slot on a Monday so not busy. Over 2 hours and phonecalls nothing. Wouldn't even deliver food as made. Happy to lose custom and waste food. Congratulations you morons I'll see you in person tomorrow. You are pathetic and NOONE should buy from you. Useless, ignorant, pathetic, and basically worthless service. Thank you for.....F###All. You're an embarrassing pathetic attempt of a food service. ordered from there before and the food wasn't great, after a while l thought l would give them another go today, just wasted money the food tasted horrible not fresh! the duck was too crispy no taste, beef chow main is very dry when its meant to have sauce, spring rolls, prawn toast, chicken wings all tasteless! going in the bin.I will not be ordering from there ever again! waste of £48 I rang to complain l was advised to leave a review!

Good food, everything we have ordered is always fresh and hot. You can order in the takeaway, but it is sometimes cash only. You can also order online for collection or delivery and you can pay buy card. Friendly staff. Thanks!

Absolutely lovely came up on a break away and needed comfort food after a long day walking , will have to say best Chinese around as have try others around but does it not compare 10/10 in my eyes bang on , enjyas I did .

Awful service. Thursday night so not busy. Ordered 5.10pm booked for 6.15pm earliest possible and could be to 6.30pm. Now at 7.15pm ffs after 2 calls. Not far down road so no excuse. Couldn't drive due to injury. Absolutely am embarrassment and no refund or good customer service. Will never use AGAIN!!!!! Absolutely joke

Thought I'd give this place another try as not used for over a year because it was really bad food. Well nothing has changed, curried water, dry stale chips and fat disguised as meat. Never again.

This used to be a good takeaway, but not any more. Food has deteriorated rapidly over the last year and even the go-to soft noodles aren't worth having any more. The meal I ordered last night was poor - tasteless king prawns (a supplier change and cheaper I would guess). After several years of using them, we won't be using them again.

Ordered online, had 3 dishes, 2 of which were fine, the Chicken Kung Po however was riddled with Prawns and it definitely should be free of prawns as the person who ordered, is ALLERGIC TO PRAWNS. Completely unacceptable and dangerous practice.

We’ve been ordering from Lung Fung for many years. The last time we ordered, our meals arrived 40 minutes later than it should’ve, but we put it down to being a busy night. This evening, we ordered at 5.20pm and lost track of time watching a movie. It’s now 7.45pm and there is no sign of our food. I called, the person on the phone was rather blunt when I asked for an ETA. She disappeared from the line to query and came back with an, “it’ll be leaving soon” and hung up. No explanation, no apology, and no customer service skills. We’ll be ordering elsewhere going forward.

Foods lovely but can't get ypur order right , missed main meal off our order ( special curry ) so we're eating rice chips and noodles

The food took just under one and a half hours to come, which we didn't mind as the woman on the phone explained that they were a driver down. However, when the food arrived they had forgotten our side dish and the sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style was appalling - it was literally brown battered chicken with sweet and sour sauce half heartedly poured over the top and so crispy that it hurt my teeth. Aside from this the chips and the chow mein were look warm. The lady on the phone seemed unbothered by this, telling us that we can have a free egg fried rice next time (wouldnt offer a refund, even on just the egg fired rice!) and that it was impossible that the food could be cold. We just hung up as she proceeded to argue with us as we didn't want our already unappealing food to get colder while we spoke on the phone - she advised it would take too long to get a rice out to us! Over all really disappointing for £30 and won't be eating here again.

Lovely food and plentiful, did me 2 meals so ended up being value for money.

The lady on the phone is a nightmare to deal with, she can never hear anything, she always gets the order wrong or there’s always things missing, never an apology from her absolutely full of herself, I will never be going there again…

In the last 6 months the food has gone downhill from here. It used to be one of my favourites, but not anymore. Food is so inconsistent in quality and flavour. A few people I know have also said the same recently. Ok, but nothing to write home about!

The best Chinese takeaway in Scarborough, we have ordered alot from lung fung and the food is always amazing, never had any problems. The staff are very polite and friendly and the delivery is always on time. Highly recommended.

The food was hot, but the meat pancake roll had very little in the way of meat! Two girls behind the counter spent more time chatting than giving good customer service.

Just been to lung fung for my tea and it was rubbish it was tasteless the meat was like rubber. It's a No for me 🤮💩

I've been ordering from Lung Fung for 6years now, the food & service has always been spot on. I collected my order last night & the lady behind the counter had great customer communication just the way it should be.

Takeaway ordered at 5 pm. 2 hours and 3 phone calls later still had not appeared. Each time i called I was lied to and told it was on its way. If they can't deliver dont take the orders. Eventually arrived.

After staying in Seamer for a few years we have always wondered what the food would be like. Looking at the mixed reviews we finally gave it a try. Very impressed, very tasty. Easy to order and pay via the website. Ready in 30 mins. Will be visiting again on our next stay.

Just tried it now after a recommendation. Had a strange red sauce instead of curry sauce delivered which made my chow mein dry and ruined the meal as i always have it with curry sauce. My partner had chicken with pineapple and it tasted like sweaty foot. Delivered fast however but won't be ordering again. Yuck and quite expensive imo.

Was told 1 hour for delivery, 1 hour 25 mins later it arrived. Was so close to ringing up to say don't bother. We got 3 meals, 1 was ok, the other 2 were disappointing. Not proper 'Chinese chips' just bog standard ones you get from any takeaway.

I had special fried rice and dry ribs everything was lovely plenty of meat in the rice .. arrived in about half an hour and was nice and hot ..

Doesn't even warrant a one star review, ordered from them numerous times tonight busier than normal still waiting 45 mins later ring up just waiting for a driver ring up 15 mins later as still no food still awaiting on driver do you want me to cook your food or cancel it, 15 mins ago you told me it was leaving the restaurant and now your telling me you havnt even cooked it. Not good when there is a new Chinese takeaway opening next week, nearby.

It was, if I'm honest, just ok. Nice clean place, friendly staff. I tried the special chow mein, not the best but certainly not the worst I've had either...it was a bit gloopy if I'm honest and lacking in meat content but tasty nonetheless.

Excellent food delivery was exactly the time they quoted first time we have used them but when we are at the camp site we will definitely use them again

With such a huge choice of takeaways available in this area, this is simply one of the best. It was busy on the evening we first tried it which is always a good sign. Ordering was quick and easy and the food was ready in around 10 minute. You can telephone your order in advance or use their website, which I have yet to try. If you live nearby or are in the Crossgates area, give them a try.

Ordered a takeaway, but due to cash only, I had to drive to nearby supermarket to get cash. When I returned firstly a very young child tried to serve me, how was very cheerful, but about 8. An older teenager took over as the child couldn't manage the till and was extremely rude. The food was nice though. Not going back.

Order fairly often, really happy with the new vegetarian/vegan options! Tasty and generous portions. Also for anyone new you CAN NOW pay card if you order online through the website...

First time we have ordered from lung fung for a while because it was so bad last time, thought it might of improved since last time but no, just as bad no improvement at all, their curry sauce is not a curry sauce but more of a gravy & not good at all, ive had better. We ordered a salt & pepper King prawn & it was awful got chucked in bin after only a mouthful, very disappointing for the money we paid for it.

11.10.21 we ordered a collection takeaway, when I got home it was the wrong order. I ended up going back with the wrong order collecting our order it was a disappointing meal they had clearly not kept our food warm, it was cold, the prawn toast was hard and tasteless. I have always enjoyed Lung Fung food, but something has changed fir the worst.

Salt and pepper box was absolutely delicious prawn toast full of prawns and curry sauce delicious

Recently the customer service has been horrific. A new English girl, young, had a VERY bad attitude problem. Really let's lung fung down. She got my order wrong , didn't even apologise, no smile. Nothing. Just her alone puts me off going back. Don't go here, there's better ones that deserve the custom.

Regularly get takeaways from here and never had a bad meal.We had friends over so went for something different, a set meal for 3 - it managed to feed 5 of us with enough left for lunch the next day

I'm so disappointed on how lung fung as deteriorated food very poor and the curry sauce strange taste this is the 3rd time we've arrived home from collection to find bits missing off our order so having to wait n microwave our meal is just wrong on so many levels the young girl on phone seemed under pressure and unable to cope will never order again

Made an order of quite a few items, one being prawn toast, which tasted like chicken. I phoned up to be told it is half chicken and half prawns. So for the second time the chef must of forgotten to add the prawns. Never had an issue with the food before, but the last 2 orders have definitely not been anywhere near the normal standards.

I have just paid for a vegetable curry, with chips, the chips tasted of fish, when i phoned up to ask why i was told they ran out of chips, they denied they were from the chip shop, but they definately tasted of fish. bad combination, veg curry with fish flavored chips, yuck, really disappointed i have used this Chinese take away for years, but never again after this.

I've been using this take-away for over 10 years, and have never had cause to complain. Last week's meal was as good as ever, the chicken dish I asked for extra cashew nuts with the ginger & spring onion, no problem. The only thing stopping me giving it excellent was - there were too many chips! Negative reviewers - get a life, this place is fine.

Came to this place to order food, parked round the back and noticed their back door was open on a hot day and a table covered in meat by the open door, an open bin and sink where they washed their hands. Kitchen looked horrible and dirty, when a member of staff saw me looking across through the door they quickly slammed it shut. Would never eat from here ever again!

Just had a delivery, received sweet & sour sauce but no pork to go with it!!!, when I called they said they couldn't send it as too busy, girl on phone very rude & stroppy. I seem to have lost the money I paid!!!...... DO NOT ORDER UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE CONNED!!!

What an absolute con I have had mushroom omelette from here before and got a big bag of chips included in the price now for some reason I get a tiny omelette with a few chips and peas on the bottom of half a omelette no separate bag of chips when I rang to complain they said we have always done it like this what a lie that is won’t get my business anymore pfttttttt

Ordered 2 meals for collection. On getting them home they were cold and also the wrong meals as per the order. Rang to ask what they could do about it and greeted with rudeness and unwilling to help and only saying there is nothing they can do as they are selling place. They were only taking cash and no gloves were worn. Total disrespect for the safety of customers.

Very good Chinese takeaway at reasonable prices. Pleasant staff too. Ordered, (by phone), Szechuan Mixed Meat with chips, King Prawn Curry with chips and a portion of Prawn Crackers last night and collected it fifteen minutes later! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

I don't understand other reviews - we have been using Lung Fung for years. The food keeps getting better and better - the Singapore noodles and salt and pepper chicken in particular are the best we've ever had. Price is good and so are portion sizes. We ring through our order and then it's ready 20 minutes later - never had a problem!

Went to pick my order up after waiting half hour like they said so when it got to 50 mins of waiting outside I asked how much longer it was going to be for them to tell me they couldn't find the order.after looking they found the print out and it hadn't even been cooked. Won't rush back there again
