Had a gift voucher for afternoon tea for two at the tearooms. Probably the best food we’ve had. Made on site and very fresh. Staff very helpful and friendly. This is a small rural building which apparently used to be the farm’s chicken sheds. If you want luxury silver service it won’t be for you but definitely couldn’t fault the food. Price is fairly high.

Just discovered this hidden gem in the heart of the beautiful countryside. Our second visit in just over a week. We came initially for the walks which are lovely but also visited the tea rooms . Had a beautiful cooked breakfast after walking the red and blue walk. Staff in tea room were very friendly and helpful . Also visited Green Wood crafts which is a great addition to the place . We intend to make this our weekly walk although it's 20 minutes away from where we live.

Great place for walking your dog, with a coffee and lunch afterwards. We had the jacket potatoes which were tasty and a great price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loos are fine - clean and working. This place deserves to do well - a breathe of fresh air - literally - just a short drive from the city - nothing fancy but quiet and peaceful with the latest addition of some local crafts to buy if the fancy takes you.

If I could give minus 1 stars I would!!! A friend bought us an afternoon tea voucher as a thank you. The approach to the tea rooms is awful, beautiful surroundings spoilt but junk and overgrown vegetation in and around run down buildings. The toilets are basically an Anderson air raid shelter in the car park! Iced coffee was ok, hot coffee was bitter and totally undrinkable. Sandwiches are apparently made to order - the bread was dry - so much so that 1 of the staff members came out and fed the ducks and geese with it! The lady who made the sandwiches was pleasant and helpful - I cannot have dairy so she made a ham salad sandwich (great chunks of tomato and cucumber with very poor quality added water gristly ham!! ) instead of cheese and pickle and half a sandwich of plain cucumber?! I dissected the ham sandwich and cut off the gristle . The half BLT the lady made me was ok . There were 2 small savoury cheese pastries (not sure what they were tbh) hubby ate them as I cannot have cheese, which I had told the lady. All in all extremely disappointing , nothing at all like the website advertises!! Hubby was asking where's the sausage rolls, quiche, scotch eggs and pork pie?! Total rip off. I didn't eat any of the cakes, my husband had a scone and almost choked on it because it was so dry and hard. We brought the other cakes home to give away. I wouldn't recommend this place at all unless you just want to go for a nice country walk, but you have to pay to do that as well! Anyway I needed the loo and was not going to use the metal hut so went to the gate pub on the way home. I feel so bad for our friend who bought us the voucher. If you're looking for a fantastic afternoon tea go to The Jacobean hotel on Holyhead road in Coventry. You will roll home very full and happy from glorious food and unlimited tea and coffee . (Or drinks from the bar if you prefer! )

A lovely place - a small pool with outdoor seating and two lovely indoor areas with wood burning fires in the winter. The breakfast was lovely and the service came with a smile ! In addition the prices were not expensive. My friend and I did not feel rushed and could quite happily have just relaxed there all morning but we wanted to walk one of the 1.3 mile circuits before meandering off to our next planned and pre-booked destination. Not sure what to expect after paying a pound to walk round but it was well signposted and a reasonably well cleared route which was dry thanks to a few days without rain (in the winter or wet weather I suspect would be muddy so take wellies) pretty little wooded areas and gorgeous views over the countryside. All in all we felt the visit was well worth it and we will definitely be back !

We popped here for a little walk around the woods with our dog. It's a nice little hidden place and wasn't to busy when we visited. It cost £1 per adult to walk around the woods. Now the issue i had was with the cakes. I'm trying to be good and diet, but all those cakes looked amazing and i could have eaten the lot. I'll be back one day to sample them!

Whitacre Hall is a hidden treasure which I found online when searching for places for Afternoon Tea. Pre-booking online was straightforward. On arrival staff were friendly and made us very welcome. The log burner was much appreciated on the damp, cold and drizzly day. The food was freshly prepared to our requirements. The team took allergies very seriously although we had no concerns. The views across the area are stunning and I am eager to return for a walk in addition to the delightful tea room. This venue is a treasure and I will be bringing family and friends and don’t hesitate to recommend it.

I visited today with my partner and dog and although the tea room was very busy we were served quickly and the food was great. We ordered a vegan and a vegetarian breakfast both which were good portions and lovely and hot. Their hot chocolate is one of the best I've ever tasted and they offer alternative milks. The small tea room had a wood burning fire today which is a nice touch in colder months. The marked woodland walk is always fantastic for us and the dog and is lovely after a filling breakfast. Even though the tea room was busy and staff seemed a little under pressure we had a brilliant time and would like to give extra notice to the 2 young girls (one dark hair in a ponytail and one lighter hair in a clip) serving from 10am and the young guy bringing out the food as they handled a busy queue brilliantly and were extremely polite.

This place is really known as Whitacre Hall Tea Rooms.....there is not a "Hall" to look around as such. There is a large, very old house but this is occupied by the proprietor of the Tea Rooms. The Tea Rooms also include 2 signed country walks, around local woods & countryside (cost 1£) with great views.....also includes a fairy trail for younger children. The Tea rooms have inside & outside eating/drinking, the outside area being a large timber deck overlooking an atmospheric lake. Excellent choice of freshly cooked meals/snacks& cakes..........in all a great mornings experience.

Husband and I have just visited this tea room. It's five minutes drive from us and I can't believe we haven't been before. You do drive through the farm yards, but I loved that. Yes it's a bit muddy just after heavy rain, but living in the countryside for about thirty years, I've learned mud is a feature for most of the year in rural areas. It doesn't mean you can't drive perfectly well through the farm, so please don't let that put you off. The tea rooms are very nice, with a large wood burning stove in one and outside seating overlooking the lake. The prices are reasonable, food delicious and hygiene standards are very good. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We'll be going back again and we look forward to taking our little grandaughter in the future and taking her on a walk after tea. I'm also going to be booking an afternoon tea there very soon for a friend's birthday. I just loved the place.

I'd seen this recently on FB as a nice place for a country walk followed by tea etc. We're only about 15 minutes drive away but had no idea about it. Unfortunately, having negotiated the extremely muddy path at the back of the farm, we found there was a very small parking area. Not only that, other visitors had parked so thoughtlessly, leaving large gaps between their cars. Perhaps to avoid any mud? There was no other choice but to leave, as there was no where to park our car.I don't understand why there would be country walks/tea rooms but only allocate such a small car parking area. I would imagine most people would drive to get here, not everyone driving a tractor!! Would it be too difficult to make the drive a bit more public friendly with designated parking spaces?

The drinks are fine , cakes are fine and the venue is fine but sweet Lord the server a middle aged lady with glasses and greying hair is abrupt and unfriendly to the point of rudeness.
