Went in for something to eat, there was only a couple o people in there, and judging by the state of the ladies toilets im not surprised, no toilet paper, no handryer or paper towels, plenty of flies, broken toilet flush, broken toilet seat, and the toilet was leaking. Decided against eating as i immediately lost my appetite. My husband was at the bar getting a drink, young barman was serving with his phone to his ear not even making eye contact as he was to busy talking on his phone. I wont be back.

We didn't actually stay for long, despite the reviews on Google. Open the door and immediately greeted by a boozy pub smell, the exterior of the building should have been the 1st indication, really run down and not loved. We wanted somewhere to watch football so we were pleased to find this pub. Frindly welcome from the young lady behind the bar. Locals were sat together chatting away oblivious to us sat under the huge TV which had a great picture. Definitely a strong smell of cooked meat which may not be appreciated by everyone. Wanted to give a 'Good' review but without that option we thought the pub was more average than very good.

Had a not-too-early-morning flight out of LHR, and staying at an Ibis on the Bath Road. Went looking for a kebab place that we never found, and while the nearby tandoori place had a lot to recommend it, hadn't been to a chippy, and wanted one more pint of real ale before returning to the States. Turned out to be three, as the Wanderers/Man U FA Cup replay was compelling. Fish & Chips were, as advertised, really good, salad to match. Real ale completely drinkable. Busy night, but the barman, who took our orders, kept us fed and watered while taking care of his regulars (we were the only transients, and my wife the only woman, but we felt nothing but welcome). No room for the stone-cooked steak, but if I stay out in LHR again, I'll be back for that and a beer. Or three.

Well lit pub with their specialty being “black rock” grill, which is essentially cook it yourself steak on a hot rock. Decent prices and the specials (ie mega steak 24 oz with pint/wine for approx 25 pounds) are somewhat of a good deal, albeit a massive amount of food. Steak was unseasoned/non-marinated so don’t expect much in terms of additional flavours. Service: ok.

Staying at a local hotel to get to the Airport first thing tomorrow and stumbled on this gem! We were looking for somewhere which was playing the football, which it was, and we were hoping for decent food... Which again, it really was. Nice little pub for a drink or dinner. I was in the area on Business and fed up with the overpriced food at the hotel I was staying at so took a walk and came upon the Wheatsheaf. Sensible price of £4.10 for a pint of Carling which was significantly cheaper than the hotel I was staying at. I had one of their "hot rock" cooked stakes and was very impressed. Nice cut of meat and again good value in comparison to a lot of the other places in the local area. Well worth a visit in my opinion.

My wife and I found this wonderful little pub when we stopped over at one of the local Heathrow airport hotels. We fancied a walk and came across this place while looking for another pub which we couldn`t find. We both had the fillet steak which came on hot stones. You slice up the steak yourself and cook it on the stone to your own liking. It came with homemade chips, peas, salad and mushrooms which we also cooked ourselves on the hot stone. A couple of pints of excellent Doombar helped the meal along and the local customers were helpful and friendly. A really nice pub with a lot going for it and well worth seeking out.

Our business was looking for somewhere different to hold our annual, informal, Summer Soiree (from 2pm 'till late) and a friend recommended "The Wheatsheaf". The venue, which has recently been refurbished to a high standard, successfully retains the traditional atmosphere of a Pub and beer garden. We met with Manager Kirsty in advance to run through some catering options and basically she took on the challenge of organising the whole day/evening with total professionalism. She arranged a delicious 2-stage cold buffet together with baskets of hot food for a reasonable cost. As our staff arrived throughout the day (attendance peaked around 50) she operated a drinks voucher system which worked very well indeed. The facilities were kept immaculate throughout and we would certainly recommend "The Wheatsheaf" if you want to run something similar for your staff!

"The best steak in London" the sandwich board outside the pub advertised. From the outside, this looks a modern family pub. The staff were certainly warm and friendly, they couldn't be more helpful. Dissatisfied with trying to get served a drink in this bar, the girl bar person was more interested in the young boys order steak dinners and the older man whom I assume was the manager was walking about with a dish cloth wiping the bar and took no interest in people waiting for a drink.
