Food was terrible and all drinks were flat. Felt uncomfortable to be in the company of a racist landlady, even checked her Facebook after and I saw various hate speech’s shared including both racism, religious hate. Would not be visiting here unless you are also as thick as she is. God only knows what’s said in the confidence of privacy if this is what’s shared publicly.

We came for pie night on Monday, the pie were delicious, good portion size too, can help yourself to home cooked chips, peas, gravy. Good choice of pies too, steak, chicken and cottage pie, free puds after too. Would definitely recommend 100%. The pub itself is very cosy and have proper roaring fireplaces too. Great at this time of the year when you've been for a walk in the cold.

The Wheatsheaf Hotel Moor Ln, Sherburn in Elmet, Leeds LS25 6DX We stopped here with our campervan and booked in for dinner as had to be in the area for some work on our campervan. Nice big car park, away from main road so we were able to set up easily. Had a lovely dinner in the pub, with plenty to drink. And my husband even checked the price as it was too low he thought they had missed off a couple of drinks! Made to feel welcome from the minute we stepped through the door....freshly cooked food to order, great value and would recommend a visit.

Great dinner good portion size. However the roast potatoes terrible. Cooked in something not nice with skins on. I want a proper roast potato. I’d book in advance to make sure you get in.

Called in for a quick drink, haven't heard as much foul language, 'F' word used in every sentence from bar staff and presumably landlady in a long- long time, and some customers. Disgusting. Plus overwhelming smell of greasy chips. But clientele seemed to be happy.

*Please also read reviews on trust pilot as some posts on google not genuine/created to boost the ratings* Attended a baby shower here with family. Had to pay upfront for all of the guests which was £13 per head for a carvary, no choice of paying a deposit. Ran out of food where 4 guests didn't get a meal and one guest was coeliac which we informed when booking and was advised would be catered for. On the day they sent a text double checking the party and food order (which had been paid for up front). They had the booking as hot pork sandwiches (which was incorrect) so they then had to sort the carvary out (so likely why there wasn't enough food). They also didn't have any gluten free gravy and so asked us to bring some !! Which I did. When the food was ready the meat was in gravy sauce (not gluten free) which meant the person with coeliac couldn't eat it. They said they would cook her a chicken breast but they never did so she had no food at all. They advised us to arrive early and they would help us with the baby shower decorations but there was another baby shower party there. They had double booked and so they told the other party to leave by the time ours was due to start so their group ended up going to barco lounge. We had to clear the tables as full of dirty dishes and no one came to do this. I ordered a cup of tea which was made and I asked for milk. The reply was "Oh we don't have any as it went off yesterday and was thrown out" This place does not have any baby changing facilities either. We had to use the floor in the toilets which was full of urine. Not really a family friendly place The worse part is is no response to the complaints sent via email or the comments. They only respond to people giving 5 stars. Very poor customer relations likely due to poor management by the sounds of other posts I have read

Went for a pub lunch with family. I ordered beef stew in a Yorkshire pudding. It came and looked very generous until I started eating it. It was fill with mashed potato and very little stew. The Yorkshire pudding was inedible. My nephew had lasagne. It was just mush. Only meal that was edible was the prawn curry, the rice though wasn't good. Won't be going back.
