Excellent staff,food brilliant huge portions well presented staff cleaned table swiftly.tastie food at reasonable cost ,pub and restraunt spotless will definitely recommend to anyone in area. Well done the fox Inn.

Great staff and food was good. The tikka kebab was tasty and plentiful and beef was tender on the beef dinner

Went as a family for 1st time . Negative: Not the cheapest with young kids as can get similar meal with drinks and s dessert for same price elswhere. But both kids and adults portion very good size. I'd happily share an adult meal next time &maybe squeeze a dessert in next time. Staff very friendly &food/portion size very good. Definitely visit again

Food was in the top 3 worst I’ve had in my life, had a Sunday dinner that tasted worse than the microwave kind , you can tell the chef doesn’t care and hates his job ! Would definitely recommend avoiding !

We arrived at 3pm after a long walk . The staff were excellent and very friendly, nothing was to much trouble and they kindly charged my phone for a bit . The meals were delicious and plentiful. Great value for money we will definitely return and tell friends and family.

My partner and I booked a table for an early tea. We both had a pulled beef baguette with onions and beef gravy. The beef was so tender and the gravy was amazing. We will be returning again soon .

Called in today, I had crispy chicken in Cantonese sauce which included fried rice, chips and prawn crackers. When it arrived my eye was drawn straight to the fried rice, just looked like boiled rice had just been thrown in a greasy pan and left to it's own devices, and tasted like that too. Real shame because the rest of the meal was very good, and loads of it. Whatever was going through the chefs mind to put that rice on the plate I will never know, he/ she would have done better just leaving the rice off the plate and I wouldn't have thought anything of it. I would return but if I got a repeat I would send it straight back

been to the Foxinn quite a few times we always take family and friends for a meal all the times we've been there we have enjoyed everything about it,the staff are always pleasant and helpful

Lovely place and very good service. Unfortunately I chose the veggie burger which was disappointing. Next visit I will have the bean chilli enchilada as that is delicious.

This pub has gone downhill! Went for Sunday dinner, nothing like it used to be at all! Really can't be bothered to go into why because it would take too long! Trust me, I used to live in this village and I've recommended this pub and the meals, but I'll be honest, I will not be going back. Take my advice, if you're looking for a good pub meal.....go elsewhere! Total rubbish, steer clear!

OK for families and a decent meal

Landlady (black hair) is the most miserable you know what in Yorkshire. Never a smile nor a warm welcome. Pub is NOT dog friendly, their argument is not during food service, yet they serve food all day? Avoid, some people are in the wrong industry.

Booked a table myself and sister. The menu's were quite extensive. We picked the seniors two cource for £10. This was great value. I picked shepherd's pie my sister Sunday lunch. Fantastic, if your looking for a great, hearty Yorkshire pub with wonderful food this is the place for you. Stopped there for lunch today and everything fabulous. Had the jumbo fish and chips and it definitely lived up to its name with a true Yorkshire portion!!!! In my group we had 2 senior citizens who ate from the 2 courses for £10 menu, and they were both full to the brim, great value. The locals clearly know the value of The Fox as car park and tables full for lunch so suggest you book. I will definitely be going back for more

This pub is absolutely great for food. I am local and often come in for a drink not for food but I will say food is amazing. But better than that the staff are amazing as well all of them do anything they can to help Matty is the pinnacle of what that means he is a go to guy. Making it a winner

Such a great, homey atmosphere, awesome seasonal and local food, and the bartender was awesome and friendly, one of the highlights of our trip to the UK.

The worst meal in a long time. It took 58 minutes to arrive. When it came it was mass produced , greasy food. The portions were enormous which led to a lot of wasted food. Will never go again and will certainly not recommend.

Just had a birthday meal here tonight and the food and service was amazing! Great taste, fantastic portion sizes and very well priced! Will definitely be eating here again without a doubt!

The food portions are far too much which resulted in a lot of wasted food. I think they try to impress with quantity rather than quality. Nice pub though.

Highly recommend! Called in on way home one Saturday tea time and was almost fully booked but managed to fit us in. Food was outstanding and portions were huge! Prices were good for quality and quantity.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch today, huge portions & really delicious. Staff all friendly helpful. Would highly recommend a meal here and would love to try their other menus one day. Their Sunday lunch takeaway option seemed very popular too. I love that they offered a box for leftovers, as the portions really are generous. Thank you to all the staff, great job.

party of six,5 ordered from pensioners special menu for the price the food was very good, when I went to the bar to order I saw a Ham salad for £10 as I didn't want a sweet I ordered the salad what a disappointment large bed of chopped Iceberg lettuce 4 slicers of tomatoes and cucumber 6 croton covered with pulled ham from the bone drizzled with blue cheese sauce everything was fresh and tasted ok.but 3 salad ingredients does not make a salad

Special kebab was was Lovely, Large portion it would feed two people. Will definitely be back to try something else. Had a bit of a wait with it being really busy but it was worth the wait.

Fab portion sizes! Boyfriend had a cheese burger, I had the spicy chicken burger and both were incredible! Proper pub food! Really great and attentive service too, young lad with dark hair and young girl with black hair! Lovely!

Lovely traditional Pub that offers a very varied menu. We had Doner Kebab and it was massive. The Fox Chips are lovely, possibly the best I’ve ever had. Good value grub.

We called in here with our two dogs for a Sunday roast. There’s a selection of roasts with plenty of sides and vegetables. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Decide to go here just on the off to cheer the wife up, she'd heard good reports and I can say we weren't disappointed. The food was good and reasonably priced, it was served in good time and the portions were of a generous size. The place was busy for what I would call a non descript Thursday evening but they seemed to handle it all very well. There is a large car park, with a grass area adjacent to it if wanting to supervise kids outside. There is a lot of outdoor seating for the 3 weeks of summer, with some of it sheltered. I don't think there would be any access issues as I can't remember excessive steps while entering. Would definitely return, well done The Fox Inn

Love going here for food! The portions are so big and it's all at affordable prices, and all super tasty. They have a variety of foods so anyone from kids to adults can be accomodated. Can get quite busy so try booking a table beforehand.

It was lovely to visit my old village again after several years, with some friends who also lived there a few years ago.

Second takeaway Sunday roast perfect beef(lots of it) and totally value for money

Nipped in for Sunday Lunch on the way home. They were fully booked but managed to fit us in. We had Pork and Stuffing x2 and a childs Chicken + Stuffing. The food was great and there was plenty of meat. We ended up boxing up what we couldn't eat and it made another meal. :).

Enormous portions. Had beef Sunday lunch. 2 Yorkshire puddings, roasties, buttery mash, green beans, carrots and cabbage with real beef gravy. Beef was melt in the mouth. Absolutely delicious but it beat us. I hate wasting food but we had no choice. The rest if the menu looked amazing. Will definitely be back. Staff were really friendly too. It was £12.95 each which was well worth the money.

Came here for the first time for lunch for a treat. Although the food was beautiful and the portion sizes were huge- faultless on that part. The service was awful! No warm greeting unless you are a regular. Lady behind the bar was so rude and short. She was going to serve her regulars that came in after us, before us. Poor. Found her abrupt when asking what wines they did, not helpful. Won’t return for that reason.

It's ok but, for me the lounge area should be there for adult customers only who are just wanting to have a drink and chill without children screaming and running around .

What can I say about the fox it's absolutely outstanding food and service. The Sunday roast is by far the best about proper home cooked food plates are big with lots of meat. You will definitely be filled up after it . Highly recommended the fox Inn. Keep up the outstanding work.

We came here as a party of 10 for a special event The food was lovely, although we all said we ate too much! Visited for first time following a recommendation. Great varied menu, portions are HUGE, and prices very reasonable. All of our food was excellent and the staff were great. If you're sick of going to places and getting small portions at high prices in the current climate, give The Fox a try, probably the best value I've had in years. We'll definitely be back for sure ! The takeaway service offered is also on my hitlist from now on...

Last minute booking for Sunday Lunch at 12pm and could squeeze us in. Spacious not crammed in, good drinks selection and a beautiful meal. We both had beef and it was delicious. Nice interior felt lovely and nice outdoor area for drinks too. Will be going back here.
