What an amazing kebab! Beats anything I have previously tried by miles. Quick service and packaged well too. Would highly recommend to both veggies and meat-eaters.

This is easily the best kebab I've ever had in my entire life. I could cry because you aren't in our hometown, can't wait to come back, it was literally mind-blowing - we had the doner gyros pitta :-)

This is without question the best kebab I have ever eaten (and that includes the meat ones from my pre-vegan days). I had the doner which was enormous and perfectly balanced flavour-wise containing homous as well as all the things you’d expect as standard (those light green pickled chillis, salad, etc…). My partner had the chick’n gyros. Another absolutely smasher!

We opted for their award winning Donner wrap and the chicken gyros , both were thoroughly delicious. The service was spot on.

We got the chicken and the Döner pita and we both preferred the chicken

First class service, friendly staff, buzzing atmosphere, great food, I could 100% return to enjoy more of the dishes on offer. My local (Boxpark in Croydon) closed, so I either have to visit the South Coast (Brighton) or venture into London (Camden) to enjoy these delights! Five star rating across the board!

Wow, that was the best vegan döner plate I've ever had.🤩🤩 Had the lunch deal with the döner plate with bulgur and a beverage for £8.95. Was totally worth it, absolutely delicious and filling. 😊👌 Staff were also friendly, and there's inside and outside seating (outside with a bit of ocean view). Will definitely return! Highly recommended!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had the lunch meal deal and it was delicious! Ordered on their little screens and had our food within 10 minutes or so. The portion was huge, we ordered a gyro each and was surprised by how much you get, we also ordered two cookies that we saved for later as we were too full. The cookies were out of this world, they were well worth the price! We'll definitely be visiting What The Pitta again when we return to Brighton.

Great vegan food. Not a lot of space to sit but you can always grab and eat by the sea.

This place is hit or miss. I like the wraps and gyros just fine. But wow, this is the worst "baba ghanoush" I've ever had. The consistency and flavor are totally wrong... it's just slimy aubergine pulp with a bit of smokiness and way too much acidity. Even the color is wrong. It's usually one of my favorite foods, but the texture of this variation is so off-putting I didn't want to finish it. I'll stick to the hummus in the future.

OMG, this was the best vegan döner I ever had! Absolutely delicious!! Also loved the cheesecake. Most places make vegan cakes and pastries way too sweet. This was perfect. Will definitely be ordering again

The best vegan food I have ever eaten, I convince everybody close to me to come here and try it and every single one of them has enjoyed it, even if they aren't vegan themselves. I highly recommend the doner gyros and the peach iced tea in the can, so so yummy.

WTF? What the Pitta? Should be 'What a Pity!' Cos I had Deliveroo perks, which I'd earned from being a silver star member, this place skipped on the portion sizes! :( I can't actually believe the cheek of the people working in this place, especially when you're a loyal come back customer. I'm a live long vegetarian and this was my' go to' place for a take away when we stay in Brighton... Huh! Not anymore. Damn cheek! You blew it guys because of your greed. Sad sad, sad. I won't order from here again. Absolutely underhanded and deceitful. I'll be letting Deliveroo know about this serving me up child's portions! Bunch of jokers. AVOID!

Delicious choice of vegan doner kebab gyros and wraps with various sides and a great choice of drinks (including cans of beer). Choose your sauces and remove unwanted ingredients when you order at the counter. Staff call your name and then bring to the table if eating in. Only one unisex toilet in the Brighton branch though which was in a very poor state when visited and could do with some investment! Update 10 months later After our first visit, I contacted the owners about the state of the toilet and some concerns about one member of staff hygiene issues (not wearing gloves when preparing food or washing hands after leaving the premises and returning to then prepare more food). I had a nice email from the owners to say that they would make some improvements to the toilet area and retrain the member of staff. However, on recent revisits, the toilet area isn't much better and requires further investment - see photos! Still some of the best vegan doner kebabs, gyros and sides in Brighton but a little pricey considering the lack of investment in washroom / toilet cleanliness!

Lovely staff, an amazing place, and fantastic food.

Friendly staff and great atmosphere... however- Got a cookie for £4.50 (yes, you read that right.) ...it was named 'snickers' so i was thinking caramel and nuts, but it was peanut butter (urghh!) It was dry and hard, will have to try again as heard good things for this shop. Just to be clear after a response from the owner- i bought this IN STORE not on an app and charging £4.50 for this dry, disappointing cookie is wrong. I will not email for a refund and made it clear above I would try again, so I don't really appreciate the response that is is 'just a cookie' . (Can't seem to respond to them below)

Comfortable restaurant and the food was immense. I thought it was pricey when we ordered but the kebabs are just bonkers huge. Great balance of salad to protein and the sauces were delicious. Not a wide selection of drinks but what was there was nice! Person who served us (didn't get name but had a chelsea haircut) gave great service and makes a great kebab clearly!

Previously been to the Camden branch which made it a no-brainer to visit whilst in Brighton. Excellent food as always, good service and decent prices.

The place is great! The price is fair, the food is amazing, not to many choices to not know what to order, people working there are very helpful and nice! The only think - no kids menu (or maybe I just haven't seen it..)

They just renovated and have a new menu! Teresa (staff) is LOVELY 😭❤️ the service has become much better and it was good before

Stayed in Brighton for a long weekend. Needed some fast food. Found this vegan kebab shop. Made me realise how much I’ve missed this taste since my student days. The vegan doner was so good that I went back the next day for more. Am back in Brighton in August and can’t wait to return!

I love the place! Everytime I go to Brighton I make sure to visit them with my friends.

The service was fast, the food was filling and tasty and the salad was nice and fresh. It isn't a massive establishment, so it may feel crowded quickly if it gets busy- but when I went it wasn't too crowded.

Service so slow….. took ages to receive my order. Lots of talking amongst staff but not much productivity in terms of customer orders.

Soooo disappointed with my what the pitta deliveroo this evening. The soy chunks tasted disgusting and out of date?! (really soggy, sour taste, and like they haven't been cooked at all), made me and my partner feel very sick after just eating a small amount of it. Wrap was really thick and rubbery in parts and so soggy in other parts that it just sort of melted. Wrap tasted like raw flour. Salad in wrap literally consisted of two pieces of tomato and the rest was raw onion? Didn't receive drinks in the order when ordered a bundle. £27 for this. Onion rings and waffle fries were nice. Inedible, not what it used to be which I'm really sad about as used to be one of my fav vegan places to eat :( Tried to contact deliveroo, didn't answer yet.

Literally one of the most delicious meals I had in Brighton!

I love the fact this is vegan but I think they may need to work on their processes. They have this fancy screen to order things and put in all your dietary requirements and then they ignore it. I requested no onions and extra tahini and was sad to find all the onions and no tahini on my takeaway.

Used to be great. Staff are lazy, won’t take the cash, want you to use self service. You are not Tesco!!! Wake up! Don’t worry, you’ve lost a weekly customer now. We have plenty of places to eat in Brighton, we will use somewhere with better customer service that will take our cash. You think because you have a few branches now, self service is the way to go, we’ll you are wrong. People want to be served by a human being that takes cash, not a machine. Wake up, you have no need to force people to use those rubbish computers, it’s not a hard job - just train your staff better and give the level of service you would expect to receive.

I don't usually go for vegan food, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very tasty and the staff were really friendly. Overall, a great experience.

I was introduced to What The Pitta by a friend recently and have been back since: the food is amazing - vegan of course - and the servings are large at reasonable prices. It's a no frills restaurant serving straightforward food: if you are looking for a decent meal or snack without paying through the nose for it - this is the place to go for it in Brighton.

This is vegetarian shop and is nowhere mentioned that is soya an not real meat. I do not like soya. They have no meat here. Also in the window is mentioned in a poster Chick n gyros and NOT soya gyros. Also when you order from the screen is nowhere soya mentioned. There is nowhere visible that they use exclusive soya. Now I have stomack pain.. update after your answer: I am a tourist and I have no ideea your shop is fully vegan. I am not obligated to search online every single restaurant from the area, before ordering. There is no sign outside or inside who mention the place being vegan, instea, it is an advert who said award winning, who can make you think that food is amazing and trick you. Everywhere is said chicken, inluding in the poster in the window. No message popped up on the screen when I ordered, to make me aware that is no meat, because if was the case, I will never order, because I am not enjoying soya taste and it makes me stomack disscomfort. The only true it is that on the ordering screen, a message asked me about allergies, what I do not have food allergies at all, this does not means I enjoy or like soya, or I like to be tricked. We were eating outside at the table and I came back in the shop and I have disscussed with a person from staff, but he did NOT OFFER a refund to us, even if I said I didn't espected to get soya. I left out and we ate outside at the table and nobody came to say nothing to us in whole this time. We ate it because we were very hungry, it does not means it was tasty and still not fair to not mention about soya. If you care so much about your small business how you always mention as answer for reviews, I suggest you to take in consideration all complains and to learn from there, to resolve the issues, instead offering a refund . A refund does not cancel the issue. And yes, the toilet was very dirty also în the day when I used it(the same like others mentions in reviews). Property hygiene and big written that is fully vegan, will lead to a better reviews and a growing business. Happy customers=growing account for owner/s. People are not complaining to get food for free, they just want properly food what they are expecting to get....and hygiene, extremelly important detail. All the best to you

When my vegan partner wants to drag me to a vegan hot spot I am hesitant. I can happily say 'what the pitta' exceeded my expectation of a meatless kebab and hands down beats most meat kebab establishments, in my opinion. It excels in its offering of garlic and chilli sauce (expect to taste garlic for days). The doner 'meat' once in a wrap is so flavoursome with all the accompanying extras I don't even have to be ending a drunk bender to enjoy it. Great food. Great staff. Well-done from a filthy meat eater.

. I went for the döner kebab meal deal and honestly I'm surprised! It's all vegan and FULL of flavour! So much food as well!! But so much I didn't manage to eat it all. The kebab is huge and the vegan doner meat tastes great- probs the best I've had! I've heard the vegan nuggets are also really good! Staff are also really friendly. Would definitely recommend when visiting Brighton

Food and customer service was 5 star. Shout out to Rebecca for the recommendation. Such a sweet and passionate girl that has a heart to serve. I hope you reward her with a promotion as she has great qualities. Never tried a vegan kebab before so it was a nice change. Will recommend you to friends and family. ❤️

Waffle fries excellent. Toilet unclean and unusable .Staff told us it wasnt due for two hours to be cleaned. Strong smell of cat. Visible thick dirt on floor in hall. Not enough salad in the wrap for ratio. Generous portions. 40 quid for 3 meal deals. Felt bit expensive for lunch. Particularly as the dining / seating experience was cramped and lacked hygienic clean. Staff upset the Nana by refusing to clean and make available the toilet. So not so good.

Food is very tasty and flavorful. I had the kabab wrap it had loads of great meaty flavor. The portions are huge so the price point is good. Great for vegans and meat eaters .Easy to order on the kiosk or at the till. Food is awesome! But the inside of the store was dirty ,bathroom ect . I think it was just from it being a busy Saturday

Honestly this place is my go to whenever I get takeout or deliveroo. My deliveroo history for the past few years is literally 95% What The Pitta 🤣 I love all their food, but the Kebabs are INSANELY good. I'm a Vegan and, as you now know, I'm obsessed! But, I have meat-eating friends who also love it. Great spot, treat yourself to their sides, the waffle fries, and the vegan nuggies are great and the vegan cheesecake is just amazing 👌👌👌 Can't recommend enough, just order from here and you will see what I mean.

Finding your way past old paintings and bric and brac you catch Cypriot music and then it opens out into the restaurant. The staff are all friendly and make sure you get seated with a menu and some water. The food on offer is authentic, simple and good value. Dips and thin pittas, salads, baked feta as lighter snacks, then well packed pitta Souvlaki for mains with side dishes of fried potatoes, fat deliciously succulent Cypriot sausages and light Calamari. To drink they have Cypriot lager, cider, sift drinks and offer honesty corkage also. If you fancy a nice relaxing break from the bustle of the Laines this is a little oasis and you won't regret it.

The food was absolutely delicious and although I would never normally complain about too much food, the portion sizes were waaaay too big. I couldn't finish and neither could my husband and it was such a shame to throw away uneaten food... I hate to waste food! I think the meal deal was unnecessary to be honest. The gyros on it's own is massive so to add a huge portion of chips on the side is wasteful. I will definitely be back because as I said the food was delicious but I won't get the meal deal, just the gyros!

All the food was so fresh and tasty. I ordered a chick’n gyros and falafel/hummus pot for my boyfriend and I had chick’n popcorn, potato crispy waffles and falafel/hummus pot. Everything had takeaway vibes without being heavy on the stomach. let’s get fat and stop killing animals. Amazing food, great atmosphere and clean. Didn’t have much to do with staff as you order on a touch screen but all were all smiley

Excellent "pop up cafe" serving authentic cypriot kebabs, salads and souvlaki. The beetroot salad and the grilled feta with peppers are top grade. Not cheap, though

First time was good but last two times I haven’t been able to order in person because they wouldn’t give me a gyros without bread?! And second time it was a half an hour wait. Pls sort it out 💖

The manager took our order as the last one of the night (wrong, he missed one item), even if he saw our group sitting down (that was the reason why we walked in at 22:30 anyway, to have a place to sit down) he took the order and our money without telling us we would have to take our food somewhere else. He then proceeded to kick us out before the food was even ready (there were more people sitting there eating) in a very rude way, we felt very uncomfortable. The kitchen staff was doing their best but the manager was an absolute nightmare.

Loved the food so much. The houmous and falafel awesome best we've had. Paprika fries. And the chick n gyro. It wasn't until wife said it wasn't real chicken that it clicked lol but it was awesome.

Absolutely amazing food! Really, really tasty and generous portion sizes. The staff are great, too. It was certainly popular when we visited on a Saturday but they kept up with orders pretty well. No one had to wait too long and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. And we weren't the only ones who ordered too much but we couldn't say no to paprika fries with our kebabs! We'll definitely be going back!

Après une petite visite de la plage de Brighton, nous devons nous rendre à pied jusqu'à la gare. Cette enseigne est l'une des premières devant laquelle nous passons, et semble très bien pour un rapide casse-croute et bon pour tous. Ici chacun y trouve son bonheur ! Des pittas au falafel, des gyros de poulet.. La cuisine n'est pas grasse, saine, gouteuse, et savoureuse ! Le personnel est très sympathique et efficace. Les tarifs sont tout à fait raisonnables. Parfait pour un arrêt rapide et remplir le ventre de tous, sans manger gras ni malbouffe ;)

Great food! During our holiday in Brighton we went two times to eat here😊 Only thing that was terrible are the toilets...They were dirty and there was no toilet paper available..

We were keen to try this relatively new place in Brighton, so we popped in for a pre-gig dinner. It was around five minutes before they were ready to take our order. The food took around twenty-five minutes to come out, even though there were only a couple of other groups in the restaurant. The gyros was mainly lettuce, with only a few bits of chick'n in it, it looked like it had just been thrown together. Not worth the £12 meal deal price for the quality. It seems What the Pitta care more about their deliveroo customers than those in store, unless they get rushly made food too? I visited the toilet before I left; the walls and floors were dirty and there were no hand towels, I had to dry my hands on toilet paper. We'd like to try the other things on the menu, but have been put off by our first visit.

Couldn’t even change a £20 note and looking at the pictures I’m glad I didn’t get anything. Young inexperienced rude girl behind the till that gave me attitude as if it was my fault I had a £20 note.

Delicious, filling, well priced and cruelty free. I always try and make sure I stick my head in a few times a year, every time is just as great as the last.
