They deserve the rating due to customer service and the quality of food. They haven't let me down once and the cheesy chips are something else 😋😂

Kebab was average at best, portion small for the price

£9.40 for meat and chips, meats was like old car tyre. Not even sure the chips were potatoe 🙄

Tuckers has been in kemptown for years and it's the same owners throughout, I mean it's not 5 star dining but do have a good selection of fast food that is cooked to order, many a drunken nights spent walking to Tuckers for a burger 🍔🍟

It's a greasy spoon that has a very attentive chef. Foods good but not gourmet. A really delicious honest low cost meal. Definitely going back next time I am there.

Just terrible. I live locally and constantly ask them for a burger with salad and no sauce. Apparently this is too much of a challenge for them because they constantly mess up up my order and am insulted when I question them about it. Just avoid. Delivering the most basic order is beyond them unfortunately

Huge range of food options, a bit cramped inside and lacking in comfort, but not a problem if you're not eating in. Would definitely go back.

When I loved closer to this gastronomic establishment, I didn't go to often but only as a treat to myself after a hard day at work or because I felt I deserved it. The burgers are tasty, tasty very very tasty and the kebabs are a lot on the large side. They certainly don't skimp on portion sizes.

Just perfect. Friendly stuff, fas delivery, payment in cash or card. Better than most take away shops in Brighton and cheap.

Ordered a chicken shish kebab + fish and chips....the "chicken shish" was nothing more than overcooked/dry chicken breast accompanied by an anemic salad....fish and chips...ended up just being just fish (frozen thats why mums go to Iceland type 🤤) as the old codger forgot the chips?! AVOID......

Check your prices they just tried to over charge me 7.90 for a quarter cheese burger whilst I.was in the shop good job I noticed what he was doing I challenged them.god knows how many people they do.this too.i.wont be going there again

OMG!!!!! I grabbed my dish and went on a mish!! Insane Super friendly staff he remembered me from the day before. He looks like he works so hard to run his business and after a few pints it’s exactly what you need. 10/10 would recommend shame we have to go back to Wales tomorrow. Orderd the full tucker pizza and it was probably one of the nicest pizza's I have ever had. Took around 10 mins to make but he threw in a dip for free. It's hard to pleas me as far as pizza concerned but they did a wonderful job

Great food! The bacon burger is so smoky and charcoal-full. Their lasagna and pizzas are great too. Friendly staff always smiling and eager to help. 100/10 would recommend. It's a hidden gem and they're open til late. Love. It.

Great takeaway something for everyone personally i like there shish kebabs delicious and as i like a nice dessert after my kebab they got a decent selection of them too.

The food here has definitely improved! Bravo to the current chef!! I never used to eat here based on reviews from the locals. I live in walking distance and would (based on recent visit) use them again - it's just a shame that that that the place is not inviting at all! This venue would definitely benefit from a makeover - you would benefit in the long run, rather than just relying on the regulars returning!

Great late night fast food excellent shish kebab and pizza etc

Don't like to give negative reviews but this place is definitely not somewhere to aim for if you can help it. Ultimately it's the only place open in the area for late night food so when you're drunk and hungry it'll fill a spot but the quality is poor and the service is worse

The price of the 9-inch pizza is reasonable. The quality of the pizza is excellent. For the money, the value is good.

Had a twisty few days in Brighton for me son at hospital! He was craving a kebab and I'm surprised the literal closest to the royal Alex. My sons telling me what to put lol "perfect chicken Tender and Juicy in the middle with a noice crispy edge" it looked good I had one large chicken shish too lol it was the perfect end to an otherwise rubbish day! Go there we recommend!! Tucker will look after ya! Probably got one of the largest menus I've seen for a late open take away!

Friendly staff. Disappointing lamb/chicken shish kebab. Lamb tasted off(sour) and overcooked, chicken just ok. Pizza ok, well Overpriced for what it is. Won't visit again. Don't recommend

Was recommended to me by friends, would highly recommend it myself. Used for eat-in, takeaway and delivery. Now my local go to place for delivery. Half the price of most places, and the winner for me is its hot when delivered. Even called me once to apologise for over charging, was only £1.45 but that says a great deal. Great burgers and pizzas. Even their delivery guys are friendly.

Been 2 times,fast cheap and delicious

I placed an order and sent 2 of my children (both aged around 11) the 1 minute walk to the shop to collect the order, unfortunately the menu I collected 8 years ago, was slightly out of date with the prices lol... So when my 2 children turned up with a few quid short, rather than refuse my kids the order, the brilliant staff member allowed my kids to have the order... Needless to say I sent one of my kids back down instantly with the extra money we owed... And as a thank you for doing that, a staff member gave my kid a bottle of soft drink for free ... I cannot praise this level of service enough ... All I can do is say here's a well deserved 5 stars... Been ordering from you for years and you consistently provide great service... Thank you 🙂

Got food poisoning from the chicken wings - not much else to say

Waited 2 hours, I ordered 9pm and it's now 11pm still waiting, why they can't just tell me that they are busy.. not recommended!

Worst experience on a delivery waited more than an hour after getting it just telling back the driver we can't enjoy it at its already nearly break time and time to relieve other staff driver shouted at and swear with a loud voice did'nt get even our drink that we paid for and no receipt...

Just what I needed for a quick burger after a night out visiting a few bars!

Burgers are worst I have tried in Brighton am yet to see a queue I live close by but happily pay for delivery for a decent burger from elsewhere baffled how this place stays open rude staff I had one bite from a burger requested with onions and relish it had limp old lettuce some white sauce no onions? Or relish But on a positive my dog was happy to eat it

Used to be a great kebab shop in the past. But lately has gone down hill,twice I ordered a kebab and waited nearly an hour before delivery,when arrived it was warm and meat was hard .wont be going there no more srry to say . Found another kebab shop

I placed an order for delivery I asked for my burger plain just onion and when it’s turned up it’s has sauce all over it so I rang up and was spoken to so rudely when I ask if I could get a new one he said no so I asked for a refund because it was his fault and he said he will not do anything about it I asked to speak to the boss which I was then refused then to top it off he has hung up the phone and is ignoring my calls.

Don't listen to any of the bad reviews, having lived and worked in the area for a while now this is easily my favourite kebab, great prices and food and staff always friendly to me.

This restaurant has a 1 star Hygene rating. Avoid unless you want food poisoning. Ate from here and was sick. Disgusting food and rude staff.

I travelled all the way from The Philippines just to try the humus here. My good friend Nadal highly talks of the mind-blowing humus they serve here, and when I arrived, I was certainly not disappointed. The humus, simply put, was exquisite. No wonder it is one of the main selling points for this fine establishment. The best humus this side of the Niagara Falls, in my humble opinion. The humus comes in all shapes and sizes. There is chunky humus, soft humus, sliced humus, spicy humus; virtually heaven for a humus lover such as myself. Incredible. I was scooping fistfuls of slippery humus into my mouth, feeling the refreshing chick pea masterpiece slide slowly, gracefully, tantalisingly down my gullet. I had humus smeared all over my clothes, my face, my hair, my belongings, under my fingernails. I was in humus heaven. I was living the humus dream. I put some humus in my pocket to save it for when I returned home. Simply incredible establishment. I will return.

I came here to try their world famous hummus and OH MY GOSH I was not disappointed. Tuckers elevated the humble chickpea and transformed it into a delightful paste! It went wonderfully with the cucumber and carrots they gave me and for the very low price of 10p there is no way I can complain. I snuck in the back of the store afterwards, drop kicked the owners nan and got away with the goods.

I’ve never had humus as good as this. This is the best item on their menu by far and never disappoints. If you are anywhere near Brighton, tucker’s humus is a must.

Where can you start... the fries their hot, fresh cooked and delivered almost to out the frier perfection. The half pounder is absolutely 💯 👌 with cheese that's processed in slices , a little salad and sauce is included . If anything I would say slightly toasted bun would be preferable. The kebabs are OK the salad is fresh chopped and seasoned with a little dry mint. I feel the meat in kebab should be piping hot the salad and sauce of choice served separately and I like pickled chilli ... im being picky there but it is not the best kebab in the world so far. Their chicken strips are on par with the fries crisp fresh and delicious . It leaves me to say... pick up the kebabs standard and im happy to dine here on the regular week days... thank you

It was a late night post pub Sunday night out (last night) that I saw this Doner cafe and takeaway. I wanted something nice to eat as I walked late at night along Brighton seafront to my hotel. I ordered a Doner, sauce and Chips in a basket. I sat and waited. The staff were good humoured with the customer ahead of me and welcoming to me too. The food was put into a takeaway lidded tray and also heat retaining cover and bag with fork. I ate and you know good and tasty when I hum eating. I did hum. Thanks.

I have been going here since a kid with my dad. I cannot comment on all their food but the chili sauce is unbelievable. Cannot go wrong with a large chili kebab, chips and onion rings.

One my favourite take aways, good food and staff

Me and my friend, were looking to grab some food from the closest stores to us and we saw this place open so we decided to try it. We walked in at 10pm to byfind both of the staff with their backs turned even when they noticed we were there. The guy that finally turned asked me to close the door in a very rude way. After that my friend approached him at the till just to get a 'what do you want' question. So he ordered and attempted to pay by card but it was declined. As we all know, sometimes it happens without meaning that the card is actually empty. We had more than enough money to pay. The guy at the till didn't even ask if we would like to try again so we thanked him, without (of course) receiving any response and we left. It was the most rude encounter I've ever had and in general I'm not a person that complains at all. I don't know about the quality of food but the place inside looked disgusting anyway.

Having been a loyal customer for many years I was very disappointed with the 'service' myself and my partner received tonight (1 Nov 2019 @ 22:20) When alone I always have a large kebab with onions and lettuce only, but tonight I was with my partner who wanted all the included salads and sauces on his kebab and asked for whatever I didn't want to be added to his kebab, a fair request I think. I didn't recognise the guy who served me, the people who usually do serve me and who know me were busy elsewhere. The person who served me pretended to not understand my request to add my unwanted salad to my partner's kebab and then tried to charge us an extra 20p for 'extra sauce' When we asked him to remove it he again pretended to not understand English. My partner said "just cancel my order please" in frustration, I said to the guy behind the counter "You may as well just cancel the whole order please" in frustration, He begrudgingly refunded our initial £10 and as we left the shop told us to "not come back again" while his colleagues pretended not to notice.

Tuckers had the best done kebabs and everything is at reasonable prices always my go to kebab shop in Kemp town.

Loads of food for a cheap price. They open until late so it's a good option when you have been drinking.

I baught me and my work mates a kebab and the salad was groos and old not the fresh salad I was looking for and we asked for a sauce and they had already put it on there without asking what we would like the meet was not cooked properly and chewy and the service was terrible so rude I will definitely not be returning to this place

Was down for the weekend with my partner. We stopped off at Tucker's, we both got a kebab, staff were friendly and was good value for the food. Would recommend.

Burger was not seasoned and therefore tasteless. All it needed was a pinch of salt and pepper. Not rocket science really. Chips were nice but I wasn't even asked if I wanted salt on them. Definate room for improvement.

Average kebab shop eaten here a few times on lazy nights as live local. However will not be returning. Popped in for some chips on the way home, there was two young lads standing behind me I the shop. The guy behind the counter said “ladies first is it...? In my country men are first but here unfortunately here is the ladies” expecting them to laugh. One of them told him awkwardly that I’m not ordering. So the grinning Neanderthal behind the counter looked at me. I told him I’d rather go hungry than to give him my money. I told him that he was disrespectful and rude. He and the the manager who came to the counter to see what was going went on to tell me it was a joke. When I said “you didn’t hear what he said” he turned to the guy and said “what did you say?” I said “see, it wasn’t taken as a joke” To put all of this in the context it was 12 o’clock on a Saturday night, im a female waking home alone. There must have been 5 men behind the counter and 4 in the shop, I was the only female. As intimidating as it was I’m proud that I stood up to their mysongony and will make sure I tell as many people as I can to avoid this place as I can. You can’t say things like that here especially in Brighton. I’m boycotting this place on principe and you should do the same.
