Terrible service25/10/24 morning shift ,from Alex and Sofia , they keep changing the words ,and big liars , never trust those guys . When you booking the hotel make sure you need audio or video record , it will help you from cheating

This hotel stay put us off Wetherspoons. Tiny room for two slim people and noisy too overlooking the drinks courtyard with no noise discipline at all! Noisy at 0100 hours, think it was the staff then! Couldn’t close the window properly either. We didn’t eat downstairs once in 3 days after we discovered having to ask for tea each time, teabags kept behind the bar!! The hotel is well kept in great decorative order and convenient parking right behind (£) but the room was our worst Wetherspoons hotel room yet. Fine for one small person.

Wetherspoons is usually good value but this time all the food was cold even the fried eggs. I thought at least eggs would be fresh cooked. You can't do your own tea now, maybe the boiling water was too dangerous. Coffee machines had no hot chocolate now which was disappointing. Staff were very good though.

Mens toilets not flushing so full of excrement. Only 1 coffee machine working on a Sunday morning and that one kept breaking, huge queues for hot drinks. Food order a complete pantomime, wrong food to our table, then other people's orders coming to out table for next hour. You don't expect much from a 'Spoons but the manager of this one is hitting a new low.

It was disgusting and dry. My mums egg and cheese muffin was over cooked and the muffin was stale. The American breakfast was disgusting and there was around 1/4 of the tiny little tub of syrup. I will not be coming to this horrible place again. Needs improvement. It took an hour just to bring the food out and it was cold. Then they forgot about our drinks. The Pepsi was sad and the orange juice was watered down. Tastes like crap. Do not come here old people were rude and the staff did nothing about these issues.

Great room and we had a meal in the evening which was lovely, bed was home from home and breakfast was good, definitely recommend if staying in Leighton Buzzard

Be prepared to be called a liar by a chap called Rory! I hope he has kept the cam footage to show you Food delivered not hot but warm but my grandchild’s beans where stone cold I mean like out the fridge uncooked cold I took them back because they don’t do check backs here , to be informed by Rory that the food was steaming when he bought it out ! I explained it was not and with a 5 yr child we checked but he carried on to insist it was steaming hot . I did not like being called a liar he had no right to do that. A manger came to apologise I also showed him my uneaten cold food which he offered to recook but I just wanted to leave as was upset and our children needed to go to bed ( no refund was offered just a please don’t complain plea . I’m done with this Weatherspoon now I know it’s cheap food but it has to be edible and I’m not being spoken to by this rude person who just wanted to argue with me

Food arrived quickly and lovely service with a smile from bartender Mae. She also cracked a joke to lighten the mood.

Generally we are not Wetherspoons fans but we needed to stop for a meal on our way back from Devon to Cambridgeshire. We found this Wetherspoons on the High Street and ventured in. We ordered our meals and the lad behind the bar was very helpful and polite whilst checking the allergy ingredients for my wife's Lasagne. It was okay for her to have and she said she enjoyed it. My sausage, egg, beans and chips were good, too. This is one Wetherspoons we would visit again.

Sat at a table that needed cleaning asked a member of staff if they could clean it.After they wiped it over we had to clean it with some wet wipes. The pizzas were under cooked the eggs with the ham and chips were hard should have been soft. I live in Old Street London opposite a Weatherspoons and never experienced such bad service.

Popped in for a coffee but decided to have a bite to eat. Had the American small breakfast, bacon was cold and pancakes were rock hard

Make sure you bring your own cleaning materials, you will not find one table that is clean, ever since the South African manager has left this place has gone into free fall, no care, the new manager steps into food on the floor and just carries on, can’t touch the bar you will stick to the surface. I did mention the mess when I ordered drinks at the bar and the answer was: It does not surprise me in this place. It is a disgrace!!!

A popular place to eat in Leighton Buzzard. The food was good and they had everything we asked for on the menu. Some items, such as all day breakfast, no longer come with mushrooms and half a grilled tomato. There's still a good portion of food though which arrived hot. I like to go on a Thursday as it's curry day and that's the only day I can have chicken korma. If it was a regular item on the menu I would go more often. The food there is reasonably priced especially when I can get a drink included in the price. The service is good considering how busy they get.

We popped in here for a quick breakfast. It was busy on the Sunday morning; we arrived around 10:30am. We sat at a table and ordered via the app. The drinks and food prompted arrived at our table, without any bother. The food was hot and tasty! Great value for money. Impressive speed; almost like going to McDonalds, but better!

We went around half past 4 on a weekday with my friend and our kids. I ordered 2 children’s meals and they come out freezing cold and they had forgot the chips. I politely asked for he young man serving and he said he would be back with them, I asked again 20 mins later and he still didn’t. I complained at the bar about the whole experience they did bring the chips out nearly an hour after they had to eat the Cold food. Appeared to only be one man on the bar and one running food out wasn’t particularly busy, but I wouldn’t however eat her again!

Stayed one night here the hotel was very hard to find and the carpark is even hard to find we were given no directions to there it is you also have to pay. has they dont have their own carpark.The rooms are small and we had no view only a roof top with cigerette butts on it.The breakfast was not very good ,the toast was very under done.

Noisy kitchens extractor fans, kept us both awake both nights. We were told that they would be turned off at 11 p.m., but no, on all night.

Stayed here for 3 nights…..was a bit apprehensive about staying in a wetherspoons but I was pleasantly surprised, when in our room I felt like we were staying in a much more expensive hotel. Nice rooms , a little on the small side but at the end of the day it’s somewhere to lay your head at night. Bathroom was very clean and shower gel was provided. Tea/coffee/hot chocolate were complimentary in our room, along with a hair dryer, iron & ironing board.

I visited with my family for lunch and very surprised with the poor service. The man that served us forgot to put cheese in my burger after I asked him 3 times when ordering. Fair enough a mistake but when I asked the waiter with the ponytail he very rudely said it’s 65p for a cheese slice and I have to go order it at the bar. Fair enough then my sisters meal came with coleslaw and the menu says peas so I asked the waiter and he said peas are 1 pound something and again I have to go to the bar and he left abruptly. I did then go to the bar and asked a lovely blonde lady for help. She got the cheese and changed my sisters meal as the menu states peas!!! At this point my meal was cold so she did heat it up for me (but who puts salad in a microwave il never know). However she was lovely professional and apologetic which was better then the pony tail waiter who frankly maybe better placed working at McDonald’s. I go to Wetherspoons all the time all over the country but this is the first time I’ve been to this one and obviously will not be returning.

We went here for lunch and found the food nice (baked potatoes were fluffy, chicken wrap very nice) and the service was pretty good, with a smile. I’ll definitely come again.

I stayed for one (Friday) night at The Swan. The "hotel" is, effectively, a pub with rooms upstairs. It's located in the centre of Leighton Buzzard. My room overlooked the main shopping area. Unfortunately, that meant that I could hear the Friday night revellers leaving the bar downstairs in the early hours and I was kept awake from 2AM to about 3.30AM. It wasn't only people leaving The Swan who were making the noise, because, as an added bonus, the taxi rank was also just outside. This meant that I could hear the taxi engines running or being turned on and, of course, many of the revellers headed to the rank to get home or move onto another venue. But the final sleep kileer was that on Tuesdays and Saturdays, the area outside the hotel becomes pedestrianised to host a street market. The lorry carrying the stalls pulled up at 6AM right below my window and the guys then began unloading the said stalls and then started to set them up......which was, as you can imagine, a very noisy exercise. I gave up at 6.30AM and got up. So, if you're going to stay on a Friday night or Monday night, be warned! I don't know whether the street noise is as bad on other nights, maybe Saturday night could be as bad but the taxi rank will, presumably be there most nights. The room was fine. Functional. The bathroom was fine. The shower was okay. The bath looked tired and needed an upgrade, but it is what it is. Check in (and out) was straight forward. I didn't have breakfast there as I wanted to try another establishment and enjoyed a really good breakfast at The Pantry, just a few yards down the main road.

Location was great! No parking available on site. Nice room, did get a bit noisy at times. Comfortable bed. Bath was nice but a bit small. Everything else was well taken care off!

Been before so return visit this time not so good food.not very good and the room we had was above garden area which said closed at 10 but did not very very noisy until 1 am don't think would come again

Stayed in a twin room on 2nd floor, staff accommodating and room was great for an overnight, very hot when we got there but left window open so cooler when it was time for bed. Quiet for a busy pub so enjoyed a good night's...

My last two visits have resulted in undercooked, cold and in one case partly frozen food.Despite being issued a refund on one meal, the amount paid back into my account was £2.80 short of the receipt amount.The Disabled toilets are often in such a mess that on occasion we have had to leave to find cleaner alternatives in town.I don't expect a lot from Wetherspoons, but if hot cooked food and a clean, hygienic environment are a must for you I suggest you look elsewhere.

Whilst you don't expect 5 star here at a Wetherspoons, a little courtesy would go a long way. The behaviour from the pregnant supervisor was appalling. She was rude, stroppy, slammed the food down and when a friend tried to speak to her, the supervisor...

The food was good. It was very busy when we visited. It nice and warn inside. We had a bottle of sparkling with a meal. Reasonable price.

The food is fine the price and the surroundings are comfortable, but it just gets too busy to make eating an enjoyable experience.

Lovely building, the rooms are generally very nice (we’ve stopped in four so far I think, one was a bit small) and clean, bathrooms fine. Staff have always been very helpful and friendly. The real ale selection isn’t all that but other pubs are available.

Typical Wetherspoons menu, quality, price and service. Very popular so can take time giving orders although online facility can help in this.

Come into The Swan quite regularly. This evening Ordered food - veggie burger. Ok. BUT a group of school aged teenagers turned up. Obviously under 18. All had drinks from local shop. They did order food. Really loud and obnoxious. Not sure why they are allowed to just come in and make others uncomfortable. We weren't the only people moved. More importantly where are they parents!!!! Can understand staff not wanting trouble but management should control them. Where is management anyway??

Rachel and Sam made all the difference to tonight’s visit. A5 star customer service, well done ladies! Note to kitchen... a tiny pot of gravy was all that was needed... well done on the stubbornness 😂🙄

I'm not sure how I feel about this place. It seems full of contractors and locals looking for a cheap pint and having a nice enough time. The food is good and the service pretty good, although the slightly dim chap on reception wasn't able to help with checking in and was keen to let us see that he was 'on the computer' whilst we waited for about 10 minutes for someone to help. The flow is clunky with bedroom doors annoyingly opening in and against the direction of the exit, leaving you squashed with your cases. The rooms though are clean and comfortable. A weird thing is that the iron cradle is bolted onto the middle of the ironing board and there is nowhere to put anything in the bathroom. The first floor rooms are very noisy when the feckless are outside smoking, despite promises from the reception area, and must be hell in the summer or is when the chamber person puts your heating on full and you have to open the windows to be able to breathe.

If staying on Friday night be aware that the bar will not shut till gone midnight. The drunks will be shouting outside till 02:30 and the market will start setting up at 04:00, a process that requires shouting, smashing large pieces of metal together and singing.

Stayed one night in the hotel, so had an evening meal and breakfast here. I had chilli con carne and rice: the rice was tepid, to be honest, but this minor problem was quickly solved by mixing it in with the chilli which was nice and hot. Frankly, when spending less just eight pounds or so for this and a cold pint of San Miguel, I don't think you can really criticise. The pub filled up with young 'uns later, became quite noisy (but still had a friendly atmosphere), so we retired to bed. Even though we were just two storeys above the main entrance, we weren't particularly disturbed by any noise. Breakfast was similarly good value for money: I went for the "small" English and was served a plateful that was every bit as full as many B&B;'s we've been to. All in all, highly recommended if you're looking for a cheap place to stay, but don't expect it to be the Ritz.

The worse weatherspoons food I have ever had and I am not a fussy person. Cold dry and the chips must have been blanched twice over. I don't recommend it and I suggest you just walk on by and look elsewhere to eat.

this place is a popular venue and has a lot of travellers visit it. this can make it very noisy at times. The food can be good but also not very nice just pot luck. I don't visit as much as fed up with it being noisy.

For a couple of nights booked us two rooms.

Seriously beware of this place, it is always full of the travelling community. Leighton Buzzard has a terrible traveller problem and they seem to be in the pub all the time or hanging about outside drunk making it a very unpleasant place to be. It's a shame because it has recently had the conservatory and outside done up and could be lovely.

We had a quiet room with adequate facilities. The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean. The place is a bit jaded but it was good value for money. We ate in and the food was also good value - how about a full English, two portions of porridge an three cups of coffee for around £9.00. Would stay again.

Good food at the right price. The place is in need of some updating but is full of regular customers most nights.

Stayed for three nights and found the room to be clean and nicely decorated, the room was to the rear and on the second floor and was quiet.Just as an observation ( it didn't really bother me) but the curtain in my room didn't cover the window when you drew it and so light could get in, in the morning. Would recommend and would return again

Just had a delicious lunch here today with a friend..such good value for money as well as a great choice of food. Both staff and service were excellent especially with clearing finished plates. Only downside was it was a bit noisy but hey ho it’s a pub!

Popped in The Swan today for a quick bite before our train trip to Devon with the family. The food was ordered and the Guinness poured and it was only 10 minutes before our order arrived. The food was good and the pub was quite clean to say that it was Saturday lunch. I would go here again even though it was crowded and a little difficult to get seats.

We stayed in the Swan Hotel on the eve of a family funeral. The accommodation was very good and represented good value for money. As with all Wetherspoons, the food and drink was inexpensive. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. This is not a high end hotel, but for the money is perfect for a short low cost stay in the area.

The bar is large and there was no trouble getting a table at lunchtime. The menu was very wide and the deli specials a good light bite and excellent value with a drink included. My panini was very good and came with chips.

Love ordering off the app, no queuing (even for a round of drinks)

For the price you pay the choice is excellent. Food serve on hot plates. Cappuccino for £1.25 and free refill amazing! Friday fish & chips bargain including free drink. Apple crumble although a little over sweet is very tasty.

Just returned from a two night stay and couldn't fault it. Lovely room and very pleasant staff. Had all our meals there and the service was very quick and the prices are unbelievable for what you get. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed overnight upstairs and had a breakfast in the morning. You cannot really argue with 4 pound breakfast, and the room was quite decent to stay for its price. But their magazine they have in every room seems to be full of political propaganda which is equally funny and in bad taste. Make of that what you will.

As a family we were attending a function in the area Saturday evening and booked 3 rooms for 1 night at a very reasonable rate.. On arrival we managed to find reception by asking staff and were greeted by 2 very pleasant staff. Check in was easy and instructions to the rooms directions easy. The rooms were all well appointed and very clean in fact could not fault anything. The bar itself was also very pleasant and very busy but had no trouble in finding a table and being served by well trained staff.

Went for lunch, place was messy, hard to find a table that was clean as staff did not clear the tables when people had left, drink cheap, my husband said the beer tasted odd. Will probably not go there again

Disgusting manager running this pub, should never be in hospitality. Should work on her own in a dark room to prevent her poisonous attitude ruining anyone elses day

Stayed here for 5 nights. Hotel very clean and tidy. Food was so good we ate there every morning and night. Big selection on menu. Will definitely stay there next time we are in Leighton Buzzard.

I live in Leighton buzzard and frequent this pub. Great beer usually, unfortunately bad service and food, from Black pudding served still frozen to standing at the bar waiting for service whilst regulars take precedence. Could be brilliant, but consistently fails to Impress,needs dedicated and we'll paid management. Drink, but do not eat or stay.

We couldn’t believe how busy it was with diners at 11:45 a.m. I think it’s because breakfasts are served until 12:00. They offer very good value for money. £5.00 for a small breakfast. Well cooked and the service was prompt.

Enjoyed a good breakfast at this branch of 'Spoons. Well cooked, hot and good value. Friendly staff. However, it felt more like a nursery inside, screaming toddlers running around, many unattended. Some had brought their own toys, which were scattered around the floor. Felt sorry for the staff, who were constantly having to dodge children and toys.

This place is no nonsense. Cheap but comfortable and clean rooms and a decent enough pub. For the price you pay it is all you can ask for really.

Lovely breakfast, we all had something different and came out together. Refillable coffee was a bonus and the machine made nice drinks. Only down side was that I couldn’t swap eggs for toast when she asked me if I wanted an alternative.

Was in Leighton Buzzard with my wife to baby sit we had a spare hour so decided to have lunch at weatherspoons, having previously used this branch and had good meals. On arrival it didn’t look to busy so we found a table without plates etc on it but obviously hadn’t been cleaned picked our food and I went to order there was only 2 people in front of me and yet I waited 10 to 15 mins to get served ,I ordered chicken breast burger a normal burger a gin and tonic and a pint of bitter when I was given my pint it was clearly cloudy so I said to the server and she looked and agreed and went to change it for another pint of something else,when she brought the second pint it was very lively and not settled I walked back to my table and the customer on the next table had got a cloth of the staff to clean his table and Offered to do our table . When my pint had settled it was clearly as cloudy as the first pint ,I again returned it and pointed it out to the server she agreed and changed it 3rd time lucky a clear pint , I would point out at no time was I given a receipt.i went back to the table and it was a good 15 mins till our food arrived,it was plonked in front of us without any niceties. My wife’s chicken burger was only just warm and over cooked and dry and unedable my burger was allso very dry but I ate most of it because I was so hungry.no one came and asked us if food was okay As is usually done so we finished our drinks and left . I phoned customer services and was told to email which I have done twice over the last two days and as yet had no response .i would like to say that I travel a lot and often use weatherspoons as I want a decent pint decent food at a reasonable price and friendly service.i was in Bournemouth recently and received all the above unfortunately this visit to the swan I received none of the above . I got the impression that they were short staffed and whilst I appreciate the prices are very reasonable it is a shame if they let standards drop as much as we experienced I certainly won’t be going back there and wouldn’t recommend it. It takes a long time to build a good reputation but not so long to loose it .

As usual good value for money, tasty food and good service although it was really busy for a Monday.

Reasonable food at reasonable prices. Stayed the night and the room was adequate if not just on the small side at £59 not including breakfast. The room was clean and mine overlooked the courtyard. Gather the ones overlooking the town square can be noisy at weekends. Car park is behind and is free after 8pm.

I would not class this establish as a proper hotel. Revellers making noise till 1pm. People walking around the squiky corridors at all hours.

Stayed here over night while visiting friends in the area. It was only available place. Our double-bedroom was tidy. Receptionist staff was wonderful. The breakfast prices were incredibly cheap (for someone coming from London). I just didn’t like the smell of the downstairs pub. Great location.

When you go to a Spoons hotel you expect noise until midnight and early morning breakfast. You do not need to find out at 4.30am (Saturday) that a market is setting up outside your window. In addition you don’t want to be woken in the early hours of Sunday by nightclub noise, and a window that doesn’t close fully.

The Swan Hotel is a nice cosy pub with a good range of cheap drinks and decent service. This is not worth coming a long way for but a good solid pub nonetheless.

Stayed Over night in luxury double room fair price for room size was very clean and tidy .. massive issue was the heat we had about two hours sleep so so hot.. we had a fan but wasn't enough for us .. Windows only open slightly.. the establishment cannot have air con as a listed building so if heat wave and feel the heat.. maybe not for you.. the lady that checked us in was lovely but we were not asked how we enjoyed our stay on the way out... so we felt that would of been nice and then we would of discussed the heat issues.. any other time of year lovely stop gap over night. Amenities good breakfast you have to buy separate I feel may be better if in with room price.

Breakfast at wetherspoons is great if only it would come to the table HOT! I can imagine it's mostly all pre cooked and kept in warming dishes. Didn't even get any butter for the toast today.

We called in for fish and chips on a busy Friday evening. They were very good - generous portions even for the small size and prices very reasonable. The meal deal also comes with a free drink. I had a gin and tonic and my partner opted for real ale. I like the way Weatherspoons include the calorie count on the menu, although it does make you think twice about having a dessert! Friendly staff.

Well, it’s a Wetherspoons so you know what you’re gonna get... the room itself was clean and modern, the bathroom all worked.

Like Wetherspoons, the old Swan Hotel is where we had our Wedding Reception in 1959 place has changed a lot since then, mind you I lived overseas for 24 years and arrived home 2013.

Dirty. Slow service. Food is average (i know its only a wetherspoon but this one is particularly bad) staff miserable. The place needs a good clean!

Ordered 4 bean chili with chips, which came with a poultry amount of chili more like a sauce. Place was fine and the amount of chips was good.

The room, which was meant to be an upgraded executive double certainly was not ! It was basic to say the least. Nowhere to unpack, squeeze between bed and wall to get to toilet, etc.

It’s a nice pub. Probably the best Wetherspoons I’ve been to in a while. Service can be a little slow as the don’t always have enough bar staff on but if you down load their app you can order and pay for your food and drink using the app and you will get your drinks faster every time.

Currently staying in a room to break up a journey we have been given a fan, the room is absolutely red hot , not healthy not cheap I might go and sleep in the car , the food is dreadful dirty tables reading managers response wanting details of stay each time well it’s the 02nd June 21.53 room 202 ..

Nice clean venue, central Leighton Buzzard. Reasonable priced menu, good value. Good for lunch or casual evening, but a bit too casual for a special meal.

Drinks very reasonably priced - however service was shockingly slow, asked 4 times what we were having (only 4 drinks). Even at one point said that Chardonnay was a red wine. Some retraining required.

All the tables were filthy. We had problems with our order and staff were very rude with no apologies.

Awful place, dirty, dark and dingy, tables overflowing with dirty plates and glasses. Your feet stick to the carpet when you walk round there, chewing gum stuck underneath the tables....nice.. Staff are worse than useless at the best of times, totally uninterested and spend most of their time in the corridor playing on their phones. Traveling community and their kids allowed to run riot round the pub, pinching cutlery and napkins off the table while you trying to eat. Lots of unsavoury characters, it's more like a drop in centre than a pub/restaurant. The food is rubbish, either lukewarm or stone cold, that's if they get your order right. Avoid like the plague there are far nicer places to eat and have a drink in the town.

This was our second stay at the swan. The first visit we stayed in a family room this time it was just me and my other half. The room was small but had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The bed was comfy and the room was warm. The view was of a wall but again that didn't bother us. We didn't notice any noise from the bat when we came back in the evening. The ensuite was functional and it was nice to have the option of a bath as well as a shower. The room had plenty of tea and coffee and top ups were available at reception. The biscuits were a bonus! Breccy was the usual Weatherspoon fare but made good hangover medicine! If visiting family will stay again.

Had arranged to meet friends at the advertised JDWetherspoons Real Ale & Cider festival with plans of a meal as the afternoon progressed. The festival turned out to be 3 of the advertised 30 Real Ales being offered, with only two of them connected! After walking through a food littered floor to try and find a clean table, we then found ourselves among some rather unsavoury characters. Needless to say we made alternate plans! (This was all in the afternoon of Wednesday 14th March)!

You cannot fault Wetherspoons on their value for money, and reasonable quality of both food and drinks. On a Monday night a perfectly good 16oz rump steak with chips, peas, tomato, mushroom and a drink was under £14 quid along with an Empire State Burger c/w cheese and bacon served up with chips and onion rings with a pint for £8.75, so you really can’t go wrong.
