Stopped by after a long walk, quite busy but can understand why, service was excellent drinks excellent, well worth a visit.

Alan Hall went to Wetherspoons at Kings Head Beccles for brunch on Friday 15th at 11.10 Had large breakfast and hot chocolate. The breakfast was perfect, eggs were soft and yummy, bacon excellent and sausages were first-class, with tge beans, mushrooms and hash browns and toast, it was a great experience. Thank you Wetherspoons for a wonderful morning start. Well done staff, you did a grrrreat job 😇👏

As usual Whetherspoons was very good, service was good, staff were very good, tables cleaned very quickly, drinks as usual very good value, place was really full but very good atmosphere

What are you doing Wetherspoons, your portions have shrunk but your prices have gone up considerably? A smal fish and chips portion was a childs portion, your fish was just slightly bigger than a Goujon!!! Very disappointing, even the normal portion the last time i was in there was tiny.... putting more peas on the plate and a few more chips does not make up for this...

Prices for drinks great but the large mixed grill was awful. All meat very over cooked to the point of cremation. So overcooked it should not have been sent out. The chicken was actually inedible and the other meat (other than the sausages) barely edible. The chef should be on a warning for sending food out like that. Also the steak was miniscule no more than 1.5 oz. When I complained I was offered replacement meal, but I shouldn't have had to complain. It goes against my nature. My wife enjoyed her fish and chips.

Absolutely terrible, I had a skinny burger with side salad and side of scampi, presentation of the burger was dull to put it politely and zero flavour they are appalling or perhaps you put some budget ones in this meal, the burgers must have changed although this is the first time I have had a skinny burger, I haven’t eaten here for about four months but two patties in a bun with a gin & tonic for the money is now completely overcharging if you ask me. The quality value and quantity has gone downhill and I doubt I will ever eat in a Wetherspoons again after this. My partner had one of the Christmas burgers and his burger was equally unpleasant and he always used to have the empire state burger. Again dull and tasteless, overpriced overcooked warm chips and so not value for money

We booked the family room and l have to say it was the nicest room we have stayed in . It had a double bed and 2 singles air conditioning ,2 televisions , a bathroom with a shower and a bath constant hot water and the tea and coffee we replenished daily . I would thoroughly recommend

This was my 4th visit to this pub in three weeks and each time the same problem occurred. I went up to the bar and ordered food, food arrived, missing items, (trivial really, just wanted to swap onion rings for a small salad, but no salad arrived, again), so go back to bar and explain, and after a lot of blaming the kitchen staff and nonsense excuses, the rest of the food finally arrive….. to join the other food on the table that is now cold! Yesterday’s visit followed the same pattern , food missing, blah blah blah, so back up to the bar to sort it (food at the table getting cold)… same old excuses given by the bar staff that the kitchen team don’t know what they are doing. I told her I wasn’t interested in hearing again of the conflict between the bar staff and the kitchen staff, I’m a customer who just wanted the food I ordered served correctly without the drama ! Instead of apologising and fixing this problem she continued to rant on about her colleagues shortcomings. I told her again that she should just fix the problem but she then decided to argue with me !! I asked to speak to the Manager, Ebony, who was very apologetic. I told her that from a customer’s perspective, I didn’t want to hear of the inadequacies of her team as it was all too evident on my previous visits. She said that it was a relatively new dish that I had ordered and the kitchen have had many issues with it !! WHY DONT YOU TRAIN YOUR STAFF TO STOP THESE ISSUES ?! The problem here is pure and simple; too many “Kids” being paid minimum wage to do a job they have no interest or pride in….Customer service is a concept that is foreign to them. Wetherspoons, here’s a bit of business advice, invest in better recruitment, invest in customer care training and monitor your people to see if they are doing the best they can. As well as SUPPORTING YOUR MANAGERS….. the Manager here is fighting a battle she can never hope to win with her current team. Finally, the Manager offered me a refund on my meal…thanks, but I will not be returning.

I have no idea why people give this place a bad review. I live local and have had a drink here and eaten just about the whole menu over the years it has been open. Food is always fantastic and quick. I had the battered fish and chips today, wife had the bbq chicken, both delicious and we do eat at ‘posh’ restaurants too, the Ivy in Norwich last week over £100 This spoons meal was obviously from a different menu but still very good and I really enjoyed it. My only gripe is that bar staff don’t keep an eye on who’s next.

Why do people put up with such a poor breakfast here? hash browns hot, sausage and fried egg warm, bacon, beans, toast cold, if you tell a member of staff they just ignore you, so many better options in Beccles

Not difficult to make a half decent coffee, unless you are at the Kings Head Beccles. luke warm and tasteless took two cups back,only to be told my fault, didn't use the machine in the correct way, although there was a problem with temperature controls. fine may have been helpful to have been told this before hand. What I did not expect was the manager to be rude basically to be told "whats your problem" and have other staff laughing. This was a decent place to eat/drink, gone down hill, wont bother again, Wetherspoons take notice, Rubbish Coffee. and Rude Staff.

We stopped in to have a quick drink on our visit to Beccles. When we were at the bar stood for quite a few minutes until one of the staff, a blonde lad, was more or less pushed towards the bar to serve us by the manager, when we ordered our drinks without a hint of a smile or interest to be there. He neglected to inform us of the offer about the blue wkd and survey us the 2 as opposed to letting us know that we could have had 3 for a small extra charge. Not being from Beccles and it only being 2 wkd for the same as 3 in Beccles I felt this lad could do with a bit of training in the art of customer service which I usually find to be excellent at most witherspoon or maybe thus is a failing in Norfolk as the one near carrow Road suffered from the same failing.

It's hard to give this type of place more than 3 Stars. It's a pub that serves food. The food is OK nothing brilliant. The seating area is OK again nothing brilliant. Typical Weatherspoon's no frills but ok.
