Tesco Cafe in Waveney

I went there today and became upset. The girl behind counter was amazing. Dark hair in pony tail. Northern accent maybe. She is an absolute credit and deserves recognition

Staff are friendly, and the food and drinks are reasonably priced

A real surprise find. The food and coffee are really good and great value. But special mention for Victoria on the counter. We've been in several times over recent months and she's always friendly and bubbly, even when she's there doing everything on her own!

Every time we come here they stop serving g food early. Today, although they're open till 5pm, they weren't serving any food at 4.15 when we arrived. This happens every time! The excuse is we're cleaning up - come on Tesco, get enough staff to run the plane until it closes at 5pm AND THEN have them clean up!!

It's a good idea to stay overnight in the Travellodge opposite. Because there is no real breakfast there. There is a very good breakfast here in the cafe and the employee (Sophie) is very nice and hard-working. You can't expect too much from the ambience. But it's clean. Clear recommendation.

Good service and nice food but was put of by the cafe being high up your almost next to the ceiling and we sat on the balcony side and right next to filthy conditions from the ceiling cobwebs and general dirt which is very off putting when eating

A peaceful cafe set on a mezzanine floor At the rear of the store with lift access if required..a bit slow in serving but it was clean and tidy.

Very friendly staff and good quality food

I visited here a couple of months ago and had a good visit. The service was good and I didn't have to wait to long for my food. The battered fish and chips were well-cooked and tasted good.

Always looked after by friendly helpful staff.

Kelly was absolutely amazing today, an absolute superatar, Kelly was lone working but was taking it all in her stride like a true profeasional, even when her que of customers kept increasing. Kelly was so warm, welcoming and polite, a real asset to Tesco cafe.

Very slow service and when we were eventually served they didn’t have any soya milk and couldn’t get it from the store.

Excellent ambience, decor, service and products. Well woth another visir.

Arrived at 1.45pm and ordered the ALL DAY Breakfast, a rude man on the till said that they don't do breakfasts all day anymore. I said it says ALL DAY BREAKFAST SERVED ALL DAY on the menu and he said 'it's a misprint'... Basically he was too lazy to cook it, so I left. I then contacted Tesco who said that yes ALL DAY did mean ALL DAY. Everytime I go in this Cafe the staff are rude and unhelpful and you leave feeling you've had a bad experience. Avoid !

Found it very expensive compared to how it used to be.

We probably just went on a bad day as most of the things on the breakfast menu were not in stock. We eventually chose eggs on toast and mine had a bit of smashed avocado. The eggs were very undercooked and the avocado was extremely bland so a bit disappointing. The girl who served us was lovely and very upbeat given the conversations she was having to have over and over again with the customers.

Rude lady who served us today has put me off ever going in this cafe again If she didn't want to smile or be polite to customers then maybe she would be better off working in a Lighthouse on her own 🙄

I will not be having brunch again in Tesco's cafe ..as the scrambled egg was not done properly the bacon was over cooked and the toast was just warm bread ...sad that it has gone from good to bad and they had a limited breakfast menu again , which seems odd when they can get it from in store also after years of asking they still not cater for gluten free customers .

Not a bad little cafe not a large menu but enough to get you by. I would prefer my latte in a glass than a cup.

We went in on Saturday 24/09/2022 for a midday snack meal, only to be greeted with a official notice, sorry due to issue we are only , serving tea and cake 😡☹️😤Not good that

Only had hot beverages here but pleasant, clean, tidy and friendly server behind the counter. The tables were spacious and clean and a very pleasant atmosphere.

We had breakfast for 3 people. The staff are lovely. Really friendly. Food was hot and well presented. Nice latte coffee. 😋

Waited 30 minutes for a breakfast which came finally cold and uncooked. Never had problem before. Really disappointed.

Went here yesterday and the customer service was excellent. The festive panini was delicious and served piping hot. The cleanliness was brilliant and all over atmosphere lovely.

Once again lovely brunch good value cooked perfectly. Great service and covid compliant. Lovely and clean.

Had cheese and ham toasty looked nice when it arrived then I noticed green mould on the bread I took it back the staff were apologetic and refunded the cost, however the point is it should never have been served in the first place there is obviously no management of food quality the idiot that prepared it needs retraining on quality control

I have used this restaurant several times over the last 5vyears since moving to the area. Visited today and was surprised at the hugh improvement of cleanliness throughout. The staff were professional helpful and polite. Food was served nice and hot presented well. Covid compliant with staff prompting customers to us the NHS app and those that didn't requesting name and contact details. Well done to those staff.

Today I used the Cafe and saw a grat improvement to my previous visits. Cleanliness much improved throughout the area. Staff extremely proffesional,helpful and polite. We had an all day breakfast that was cooked to perfection and great value for money. I have visited this cafe many times since moving to the area 5 years ago and have to say until today the service and cleanliness did need improvement but was surprised today how far it has improved. The Covid guidelines were in place and staff prompting customers to use NHS app and taking names and contact details of all customers excellent.

I have visited Tesco cafe Lowestoft several times recently and I must say a marked improvement in the service and the food. The menu is really good and you can have breakfast all through the day. Lovely Advocado and field mushrooms. Recommended

Will not be returning!! Ordered breakfast for myself and family, I had the brekfast wrap and this is how it was presented to me!! Unfolded immediately and very obviously slapped together. Items missing also. Absolutely vile and did not touch

First time visited, can honestly say won't be returning. Ordered a breakfast wrap and how it came was unwrapped on my plate, slapped together with half missing. absolutely gross !!

Very poor and expensive breakfast - £6.95 in a supermarket cafe! And that was without a drink. Sausages low quality, 3 hash browns and fried bread = massive carb fest! Looks good because it was on an oblong plate, but in really this just served to make it look bigger but crowding all the food together. Not recommended and I will not be returning ffood together,

stopping at the travel lodge, easy walk to tesco for breakfast good wholesome food, only one person on duty having to serve and cook so can be a bit of a wait if there is a few waiting.

Whilst staying at the nearby Premier Inn we visited Tesco for breakfast every day. We were served every day by the same lady who was really friendly and helpful. Lovely cafe

Have never been in this cafe without either being told the wait is huge so don't order (seriously!) or the staff moaning they are overworked, add in to that managers sitting there openly moaning about their staff over coffee then best avoided.

Have visited this cafe several times since the store opened and the quality and polite staff are the best we have ever experienced. In the past we have experienced variable service and quality but for some reason this is no longer the case. The two young people doing the cooking are very polite and serve very good hot food.

Would have been 5*but no black pudding with breakfast, although it's advertised as being available. Other than that great food.. would recommend.

Trying to eat a dinner with plastic knife and forks which they supply is ridiculous aswell as waiting 50mins for the food

Nothing wrong with food, drinks or existing staff but this cafeteria is grossly under-staffed. Waited 20minutes in the long queue to pay for two soft drinks: nobody manning the till, no tables being cleared, as all ladies dealing with and serving hot food. At least one more member of staff needed to operate till/clear tables. Also please supply a trolley conveniently placed upon which to place our used trays and crockery etc.
