They should be ashamed. It was absolutely filthy on the floors tables windows sills and even the seats. Clearly nothing is cleaned properly, the manage needs to go on a hygiene course!

Centrally located, this is a good size Greggs with both indoor & outdoor seating that sell a wide range of delicious sandwiches & baguettes, soups, wedges, hot pasty's & sausage rolls, as well as a good selection of cakes & doughnuts to go with a hot or cold beverages of your choice, the member of staff that served me with my mocha was so polite & friendly, I never got his name but he had a beard & is an asset Greggs.

Went in for quick bite and coffee.while service was good and rolls ok.was disgusting to see a staff member using the toilet while still wearing apron.at least remove apron especially after seeing this staff member wiping her hands on apron.and considering toilets are smelly and untidy aswell.letting down a reasonable cafe/takeaway with this

The place was filthy not very inviting due to not being cleaned there were 4 of us but only 2 could eat due to lack of what we wanted

While on holiday, we visited Lowestoft and stopped here for refreshments. On first sight, the shop looked reasonably clean and tidy however there were tables that hadn’t been cleared . We ordered 2 cappuchinos and a sausage roll and cleared one table and then sat down inside. The shop was fairly busy but there appeared a lack of attention to detail by the staff for example : some items on shelves were mixed up and just needed a tidy up but staff were standing around just chatting. The drinks were ok and the sausage roll good.

I recently visited Greggs and had a great experience. The food is really nice, and I particularly enjoyed the ham and cheese toastie – it was so good! Greggs is also a great place for affordable food, offering good value for money.There are lots of places to sit, not just at the front but also at the back where there’s even more seating. There is a toilet available, just one unisex toilet, which is convenient. The place gets very busy at lunchtime, but the staff at the till are quick and efficient, so you don't have to wait long to get your food.

Not bad. Was a bit of a queue when we arrived they fought through it fast, keep your food wrapped up if you take out. The seagulls dive bomb!

Good service but let down by dirty surroundings. Staff never seem to empty bins or clean tables/chairs from the debris left by other dirty, sloppy customers.

Some old same old. Would be nice to juggle food about a little, maybe add an egg roll or fresh fruit Toilets need a password which is on your receipt but if one of you is queuing for the food the other has to wait, sometimes for a big queue to clear.

Went into Greg's in Lowestoft town centre for a coffee with my sister. On reading their specials that were being put up on the screen near the counter it stated hot drinks and pizza slice £3.50. After then looking at the price of the hot drinks and the cost of a slice of pizza, this came to £3.25 rather than the £3.50 special offer price!! I ordered coffee and pizza, but added that I wanted it at the correct price rather than the inflated special offer price and pointed out that special offers are supposed to be cheaper than the original!! The staff member seemed put out that I noticed and refused to speak to me after my pointing the mistake out. This "special offer" was not rectified and was still left in place to this date. Returned on Sunday to check out their specials price again and found that they have now increased the price of a slice of cheese pizza from £1.25 up too £2.00 to make their special deal cheaper. That's an increase of 75p on a slice of cheese pizza, just to make their inflated special price work!! Absolutely shameful. Shame on you Greg's

Nearly always packed with a long queue. The staff try their best, but they always seem overstretched.

Went in for hot chocolate and sausage roll and after waiting forever due to only 1 server with massive queue the sausage roll was basically cold. There is a sign stating that the food is hot yet it never is. Countless times I buy "hot" food to take away I have to reheat it myself. No fault of the server they are always amazing but the company needs to buy better ovens to actually supply hot food as that's what your advertising

This shop is in need of totally refurbishment then being kept clean at all times, the floors table's and seating are all absolutely filthy the toilets are absolutely degusting the times i have been in this shop nobody seems to check them to make sure they are kept to a high standard .

Why oh why does this place always run out of half of its' product? Surely they have the facility to cook plenty of product to cater for their business. They have the facilities for this no to happen but it happens. Regularly. Went in at 2pm and all they had were veggie pasties. WHY? The same all the time - queued out the door, slow service and no product ready. Very disappointing.

The staff are always friendly & helpful however the cleanliness of the seating area could be improved.

Absolute shambles. We ordered 1 mocha, 1 latte.. rocket science no? Well we received 2 mochas.. has to go back in, cut the que, got stared at by customers, to ask them to get my order right, they rectified their mistake, it wasn't even that busy when I originally put my drink order in..

Hygiene is obviously not a strong point with this particular Greggs! Dirty tables, untidy seating area with food left on the floor and an overflowing bin in the eating area! There were several flies around in the back eating area which wasn't surprising when you went into the toilet not too far away. It was filfy, smelt and was inundated with flies. The staff weren't at all bothered when we commented on the cleanliness and flies and asked what we expected them to do about it.... der CLEAN?We soon came out for some fresh air!

The vegan breakfast wasnt available, the sausage rolls and pasties were cold and nasty. First coffee served cold. Wouldn't normally eat at Gregg's but this was the only place open on a Sunday morning. Never again. Charging money for food barely fit for human consumption!!!!

A smallish Greggs with some outdoor seating under cover from the sun. I've tried one of the new vegan ham and cheese style baguettes included in the meal deal and was quite impressed. The service seems friendly, and Greggs is always good value for money. Queues can be a bit slow, but that's usually more down to customers dithering than staff. Also, bacon rolls !

Got a porridge to eat in they took the money then told me that they haven’t got any spoons to eat it with. Did get a refund but not the full amount. Then go to the toilet it was 9.15 am and they certainly haven’t been cleaned human mess all over the place then to cape it off hand dryer not working certainly won’t be going there again

Two staff members watching something on their mobiles. Elderly member of staff can't seem to say please or thank you. You say you'll wait for a hot sausage roll and they look at you like you have two heads.

The prices are good and food tastes good, especially the chicken baguette. However, I have been disappointed with the vegan sausage rolls because they have been cold. Hence the 4 out of 5. I understand that this is how they keep prices lower but I would be willing to pay a little more for a hot one. Still enjoyable though. Just not a place I go to for hot food

The location of this store is too small, ques going out the door 90% of the day, sometimes waiting 25 minutes to be served and is faster going to Pakefield retail park store. Staff can be slow at times but usually okay but just cannot handle foot flow. A few times visited and been given previous day stock and wasn't fresh, especially bakery like cakes etc.

The Covid precautions are impressive. There is In/Out entry with distance markings on floor Numbers are limited in-store. The Service area is protected by screens. The service is fast and friendly. I've enjoyed many take-out teas during the pandemic at a very reasonably priced 90p.

Staff were rude and unfriendly. Everything was an effort and didnt follow covid guidelines. Food was cold and old.

Let's us through tother back of shop to eat at a table even though they were closing up and cleaning up and let us use the toilets which with young children was very good of them

Ate in the cafe. The sausage rolls and pastie was cold.

Not overly great. Food is fine and staff ok but Gregg's needs to rethink how they package the pizzas. Our toppings stuck to the paper bag so we had pizza with no topping and once home the cashier hadn't put our Belgian bun In the takeaway bag, not a big deal to some but money spent and no product ! Have complained directly to Gregg's.

I love Greggs, but there should be more healthy food: snacks and meal variety.

They do great vegan sausage rolls even though I am not vegan I do like meat free sometimes also lovely staff and any leftover food goes to a homeless charity instead of throwing it away. Great!!!

Greggs is great for a latte & sausage roll (or whatever you fancy) but now if you want to go for a quick wee you have to remember the code for the loo's...& they are different for each loo!! What a pain.

Had a young girl called Evie serve us and she was great. Very friendly and helpful offering great service, a credit to the Gregg's company, just a shame a seagull stole my wife's pizza slice when we walked back to car. Dam those lowestoft seagulls one day you will meet your match.🐿

This branch of Greggs was well below what I have found elsewhere. The staff were friendly but, for a Thursday lunchtime with moderate queues, the food was tepid. Good flavour but nothing like warm enough.

No point in going here on a sunday lunchtime as no stock and labels are all in the wrong places and the staff not very helpful not happy with service and products

Very very slow service no business should keep customers waiting as long as this one does even when there are 2 other bakeries on the same road that are in my opinion far better then this. And please teach your staff to put the cup drink under the machine and press the button while they prep the food element of an order its common sence that this would speed up the service ... and invest in some decent tills that actually work .

Not really much you can say about the product.. Filled rolls, cakes and the normal stuff Greggs make.. All OK, cheap and cheerful.. However, why oh why do they not employ enough staff to actually serve people.????. Que out the door, one lady serving whilst at least two others stocked shelves.. Stood there for over 15 mins then went to an independent bakery where I paid slightly more but for good customer service..

Went in here after 2pm omg it was packed but had a meal £4.50 x 3 and a sausage roll gave her my own cups and stamp card think over charged £18.80 seems to much and she didn't stamp my card noticed when came out as could not move in there.

Called in for a snack lunch with friends. Ordered from the hot counter but what was on display did not correspond with the labels giving a description! So after the mix up we got to our table only to find that the hot food wasn’t even luke warm! Went to complain but the que was out the door! Not impressed. Denise x

The food is fine but you really have to hope you get there at the right time if you want hot food because they do not have a hot counter

Its ok. Nice and modern now but much prefer the old place (proper old cake shop) as you dont seem to get as much choice as before they updated it. Staff are very friendly.

I am appalled at the hygiene dirty tables and floors. I had to move tables as food on the floor .I am not going to come back I only go cos cheap on sunday . I do not recommend this cafe .I dread the food hygiene I dont want food poisoning.

Stopped for a coffee in here whilst on a recent visit to Lowestoft. Served quickly & efficiently and asked if I would like a tray for our drinks. Nice shop, not cramped with extra seating at the rear of the shop. Will certainly return.
