Wetherspoons in South Kesteven

Had an awful experience at this Wetherspoons . My partner went to order food at the bar , in which a lady at the bar asked if anybody was waiting, my partner said yes and she didn’t rely so she went to put something in the dishwasher . When she came back she asked the same question and my partner again said yes in which she made the rude comment “you could of said something the first time” My partner brushed it off and went to order our food , she then ID him and got really rude asking for other forms of identification in which he had to use his bank card (his ID was legit he’s 24) She then again made another comments under her breathe and said she needed to see my ID as he was ordering for me too . I then had to go up to the bar (which wasn’t an issue ) and I handed her my ID . She then proceeded to shout at me and say “ if your going to have an attitude I’m not serving you it’s my job to make sure your not underage “ My partner was obviously getting annoyed with how she spoke to me in which I told him it’s fine and she then started mouthing off again . We then asked if we “could please be served by someone else” She then refused to serve us cancelled our whole order on the till and told us we couldn’t have any food and to leave . Also refused to tell us her name . This was on the 28th November just after 6pm. She had black braids and and glasses and was wearing a body cam so hope this gets checked . We did then just have to order on the app but I’ve never been spoken to like that ever . Rudest experience I’ve ever had.

This place is awful table of 4 = 2 got food and 2 came later when first two were half way through their food. Not right to speak for anyone else - my steak and salad was tough to cut into so hard the cheap cutlery made my hands red trying to cut into it what I did manage to eat although though was tasty in the middle of steak was a thick piece of gristle about three inches long and over an inch wide !! Totally inedible when I spoke to staff I suggested a token/ voucher for a replacement meal another time they went away never to be seen again ! - well that will be us they will never see us again! Worst steak I have ever had anywhere I know you don’t expect fine dining from Wetherspoons but do expect to be able to eat it !! It was steak night …. Do yourself a favour and avoid. The place was really cold a really bad “draft/ gale” coming through what I assume are bifold doors - terrible. Very disappointing to say the least

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the inappropriate and aggressive behaviour of one of your shift manager (Ellie) during my recent visit to your establishment on Sunday 27th October. During my visit, I was handed a broken steak knife and sought a replacement from the bar, no one available and then from the kitchen. Upon doing so, I was subjected to aggressive shouting by the shift manager Ellie. The situation escalated when this individual returned to the kitchen and proceeded to swear about me loudly enough for the entire restaurant to hear. When I approached her to address this behavior, she responded with sarcasm and further aggression, despite my calm demeanor. This incident culminated in her banning both myself and my partner, who did not engage in the situation, from your establishment for three months. Witnesses present during this altercation have expressed their willingness to testify to the unprofessional conduct displayed by your staff member. I find this treatment to be highly inappropriate and intimidating. Such behavior is unacceptable and warrants immediate review. I demand a formal apology and appropriate action taken against the shift manager involved. I trust this matter will be handled with the urgency and seriousness it deserves.

A flying visit, twice, going to and returning. Food is served quickly and hot, a busy place for many getting take outs for work, so you may have to queue for a few minutes. Located very close to bus station.

Despite a long wait on our shots, a wonderful staff member called Ellie was helpful and showed a friendly attitude towards us throughout our visit. She was able to successfully aid us and showed a great amount of understanding of our situation as we needed to leave for a train. Wonderful customer service and really made our experience!!!
